It was 7:15 in the morning, and Grace had been awake since 3 a.m, working at a hotel as a waitress. She was incredibly tired, but she had no choice but to get ready for another day of school. She took a quick shower and changed into deep purple sleeved shirt, acid washed skinny jeans and black boots, remembering to slip on her jacket since it was the middle of autumn.
She ate some toast with melted butter and jelly, washing her dish after she had finished. She looked around the house to see if her parents were there, but as expected, they weren't. Her father was a lawyer and her mother was a nurse, so sometimes they wouldn't return until the next day. Grace would sometimes feel lonely whenever they weren't around, but she always would invite over her best friend Melissa or someone else.
Grace snatched her backpack and car keys, locking the house's door before getting into her black convertible and made the ten minute drive to Whitewater High School.
She pulled into the school's parking lot, seeing the faces of familiar and unfamiliar students. She parked and made her way inside of the building, heading directly over to her locker.
