Fantasy Apocalyptic (Always Accepting)

JESSE

Jesse smirked when Ashe closed her eyes for good. She might not trust him, but maybe after waking up alive, she'd stop hating him for some unknown, God-forsaken reason. Leveling his guns, Jesse prepared himself for a very long night.

JENNA.

Quite frankly her exhaustion was indeed one that she could not fight off. Despite her fear she still felt as if she was being crushed but as she slept that fear disappeared till she was in her dormant state. She had slept with her eyes still watering to which eventually they would dry off, she felt that if she stayed she was going to hold them back and she didn't want that on them. The girl has never resulted to violence, it was traumatic for her to even thrust an arrow into a zombie's head let alone many.

JESSE

Three hours into the watch, Jesse still hadn't heard a thing. Three hours of staring mutely at a door, half-hoping something would burst through it. Hoping that he would get to shoot something.

Ashe

Ashe was getting restless. She had a nightmare. She was walking down the streets, on her own. Suddenly a figure had stopped in front of her. When she grabbed her gun, it got closer and closer. It was her dad. He was infected and ready to start eating her. She couldn't shoot. She couldn't defend herself. Her dad tackled her and started tearing open her stomach.

Ashe's eyes opened quickly, while her breathing was going quickly. A dream, it was just a dream. She sighed deeply and bit her lower lip, looking at Jesse who was still awake.

JESSE

Jesse saw Ashe jump awake. "You alright?" He asked softly, using his voice for the first time in hours. He sounded like a chain smoker. He cleared his throat quietly. "Bad dream?"

Ashe

She felt a bit ashamed for perhaps overreacting so bad. She nodded, grabbing her bottle of water and taking a sip. "I can't really get through the night without having nightmares," she whispered, not wanting to wake the others. She rested her head against the wall. Since the apocalyptic had started, her nights were short and full of nightmars.

JESSE

"I have been able to sleep well for about 7 years, so I know the feeling." He sighed, taking a sip of his energy drink. "So instead I caffeinate myself so I never have to close my eyes." He continued, smirking.

Ashe

Ashe looked at the energydrink in his hand. "It can't be good to keep doing that," she mumbled, "I read somewhere that you can die of those things." She pushed herself up a bit and grabbed her gun again, tracing her fingers over the grip. Perhaps this was a good time to get to know Jesse. They were going to spend time together for quite some days anyways. She'd like to know who she was in a group with. "So where were you when this started?"

JESSE

"If I die, it'll be from the undead bastards, not Red Bull." He chuckled. "And I was here, with my girlfriend. She didn't make it. There was a therapist that was supposed to help with PTSD. Never got to meet with him." Jesse said. There was no point hiding things like this. It was over.

JENNA

She could hear the mumbling voices as she slowly shuffled over, giving them both her back as she continued her slumber. She surprised herself at how she actually managed to close one eye

Ashe swallowed. "Shit Jesse, that's some heavy stuff." She wasn't sure if she should grab his hand or not. "I am so sorry about your girlfriend. I had a... have a boyfriend." She wasn't sure where he was and if she wanted to look for him, but they never really broke things off. "I can't begin to imagine how hard it must have been for you."

JESSE

"It's fine. She went quickly. Didn't help the PTSD, but I'll live." Jesse shrugged, as if he couldn't be bothered. In actuality, it killed him every time he thought about her.

Ashe

Ashe nodded slowly. He didn't seem fine, but he also didn't seem like he wanted to be talking about it. "Look, I know we just met and you don't have any reason to trust me but... if you every feel the need to talk more about it, I will listen." She pulled her legs up and wrapped her arms around them, looking at Jesse. "So... what happened after she died?"

JESSE

"I ran. Found myself in the middle of the street, surrounded by fights and blood. It was so horrifying, so similar to the shit I went through in the Army... I just panicked. Ran into the first apartment I saw and locked the doors, almost died. Something weird happened, then. Guy came in, mumbling about a cure. He had a syringe of blood. He had a bullet hole in his chest, he was dying. Before I could do anything, he shot the syringe into my arm, died a few minutes later..." He said quickly, staring blankly at the door.

Katya was glad to find the shed the others were in. The outside hadn't been a suitable place during the night a specially if you'd been shot. Pressing her finger tips over the lump where the bullet was lodged she stumbled, a noise that could be heard from inside the shed. It took Katya a long moment to realise people were in there she she raised her hand to knock.

@Queen Lamer @UnknownOrigin

Jack cursed at himself for his lack of forethought. He had backed himself into a corner with no way to run. It wasn't all bad however this was a very narrow alley way so the undead can only ever lineup one at a time,as they were currently doing.

*Plink plink plink.*

A sound similar to an aluminum baseball bat striking the ball, echoes throughout the night as Jack continues to line up his punches. His shoulder aches and he's breathing heavily.

"Oh well I might as well treated like a video game, wonder what my score is going to be?"

*plink,plink,plink.*

JENNA

As she heard the knock, she slowly batted her eyes open, hearing the companions voice she immediately and sleepy sat up as she hugged herself in the corner.

Ashe

Ashe frowned. "Wait, he injected something into you..." She wanted to ask more about it but suddenly she heard a knock on the door. She jumped up and grabbed her gun, aiming at the door. Jesse already started asking questions. Ashe tried looking outside the window to see what it was, but she couldn't see.

Jesse stood up when he heard a knock. "Who's there?" He called, waking up the others quickly. "We're armed!"

"Don't shot me, I can't have that happening twice in one day. It wouldn't be karma it would be bullying." She laughed but it was hollow and empty.

JENNA

She stumbled towards her crossbow and loaded it towards the door as well just in case, better take precautions. As she heard another living's voice she arched a brow "And here I thought no one crawled in this hell" she muttered to herself

"Should I open it?" Jesse asked softly, ready to fire. When he heard the female saying she was shot, he lowered his gun and pried the boards free from the door, wrenching it open. "Get in here.... Do you guys here that?" Jesse paused. That sound, like someone hitting something repeatedly. "That's not undead, I'll be right back. Help the girl, please. Ashe, you coming?" Jesse said quickly, looking outside.

"Didn't know the dead had started knocking on doors." She joked leaning against the wall of the shed as the ripped at the boards to open the door.

Ashe

Ashe nodded when Jesse asked to let her in. The girl seemed to be shot. She frowned but didn't had time to ask questions. Jesse wanted her to come with him. She swallowed. Shit, she was not much of an use. Yet she nodded, grabbed her knife and walked after him into the cold air of the night. She looked around. A few meters away she saw some zombies, who were also walking towards the sound of the banning.

JESSE

Jesse sprinted toward the sound, feet pounding against the sidewalk. The sound was getting louder. He didn't know if Ashe was following, but he didn't stop to check. He saw a narrow alley filled with the undead, and started firing immediately, taking one down with every shot. When they realized what was happening, they started to turn and stumble towards Jesse instead, brilliant. He fired until he was out of bullets before pulling out a blade, glaring them down.
