Fantasy Apocalypse: Not your typical 'zombie'

"I don't think that would be wise." She stated simply. She was a few steps from the exit when two other figures ran in. One pulled out a knife. Casey pulled her twin kambits, one in each hand, and aimed them towards the strangers. Why were so many people in the subway? Was this there base? Casey hoped this wouldn't break out into something messy.

Reanne "Err, Hi?" I stated awkwardly, as two figures pointed their weapons at us. I remained unfazed, ever since the apocalypse started, Im used to people pointing weapons at my face. "We dont want any trouble. We just came here to see if there are any more survivors." I stated, lowering my weapon.

Reanne "Im Reanne. But call me Rea for short. This girl is Evelyn." I told her, pointing to my companion. "Whats yours?"

Casey slid, her kambits back into the loops attached to her belt. "It's better you don't know my name." She looked out towards the exit. "You two were running," She stated matter-of-factly. "Were you being chased?"

Reanne "Yeah. We were running from that blasted zombie who doesnt know when to stop chasing people." I grumbled, my eyes showing irritation. Before I could even utter a sentence, a loud groan echoed through the subway. "Shit. Its here." I whispered.

Casey quickly ran towards one of the empty railroad tracks. "If you value your lives I suggest you follow me." She didn't know why she had said that. If she had left them there it would've meant more time to escape. The zombie would've been distracted by the other three, but she couldn't take back what she said. Though she didn't regret saying it either.

I looked at the direction the girl pointed in. "You don't have to come along, but I am going to that hospital and I am seeing my brother." I started walking the the direction of the hospital with my hand on mother's knife cautiously. I finally reached the huge building and entered carefully. I checked rooms and moved along on the search for John until I got frustrated and collapsed on the floor in exhaustion. He's got to be around here....

"OH!!! Fleshy girl!!! W-Wait for me--- OW!!!"

A steel bar had hit his temple. Xyuga frowned and fell from his hanging place. He had to focus!!! He needed to track them down! That was all. The undead quickly pulled himself up and tried to catch up with the fleshy girls. Man, they were quick! And the strange thing was, they multiplied! Wow. Now there was like.... he didn't want to count.

"Hey!!! HEY!!! HEEEYYYYY!!!! Wait! I need to track you down!!!"

Xyuga followed them into a dark subway tunnel and sniffed the air. He could sense them just a little further away from him....

The blonde hair girl, Kio, took off after Casey, but the other girl, Reanne, headed in the opposite direction, mentioning something about her brother. Casey flinched at the word, but continued running. She had tried saving Reanne, but ultimately it was her decision. And what about the Evelyn girl? She didn't hear her footsteps following. Maybe she had chosen to go with Reanne. Again it was up to her to choose. Casey continued running down the long dark tunnel.

Reanne Rea ran the other way, in hopes of confusing the zombie. Silently hoping he lost their scent and that of the other groups. She was panting, running for a whole day wasnt really on her schedule. She dragged Evelyn with her, She couldn't just leave her there! Rea went to another part of the subway, going down the rails. She hoped that these rails could intersect, so that she could rendezvous with the others.

They successfully got into the station though the people inside were weary of them. Of course, she understood that. Resources were now harder to attain but there was strength in numbers. Fortunately, they allowed them through without harming them. She followed them as they ran, the zombie once again in their tails. Rea separated from the group but she chose to follow the former. It was up to the zombie now to choose which group to chase after. Well, if only she had guns like they did, she would be shooting this thing down.

"So, where are we going?" she asked, curious as to why she had to separate.

Sorry

Reanne "So, Where are we going?"The girl asked as Rea loosened her grip on the girls wrist. She stopped running and came to a slow walk."We need to rendezvous with them, and hopefully this track will intersect with the other." Rea explained. She needed to find the others. She doesn't know why, which kinda irks her. She usually has an answer to every question but this one doesnt. For survival, maybe? Or just to have some company? Rea doesn't know anymore. All she knew was to get away from that zombie as fast as she can.

She looked back to Kio, confused as to why she called her girl, but then remembered she hadn't told her her name. "Alright, though we're almost there." Casey had been setting up a small, more permanent base. It was more so for food storage, but she was actually looking forward to having a place to call "home." She had been building it in the walls within a bathroom stall in the train station, hoping the bathroom stench would block any tracking the zombies could do..

Reanne After a bit of walking, Rea and Evelyn reached a station. "There!" Rea called to Evelyn, her eyes trained to the station, crouching, and pulling out her knife. She slowly walked towards the station, staying alert if there are zombies around the area.

"Ok...." Kio said, taking a breath. She hated running, she was one of the slowest people she knew. The nost agile one, yes. The fastest, no.

Eve was glad she was planning on meeting up again and not being a the lone wolf type, although knowing that it's possible they won't meet up again, it's kind of the wrong move. Nonetheless, she followed the girl until they reached another station. She mimicked her movements, crouching and readying her trusty machete.

"It seems clear." she whispered, in case she observed wrong. She went on ahead to actually survey the area, cautiously walking into the station. It seemed the others were not yet here... if they were coming at all.

Casey moved towards one of the doorways labelled "bathroom." She walked in cautiously. After checking to make sure it was clear she opened the last stall and began moving a slab of tile that had already been separated from the rest of the ground. She looked back to the doorway. Should she tell Kio? What if she later used it against her or stole from her?

Her paranoia was interrupted by the excruciating pain of the tile slab hitting the very edge of her foot. She bit her tongue, trying not to scream out in pain. She leaned against the wall, grasping the end of her shoot. Lines of curse words slipped past her lips like air seeping out of a tire.

She tore off her shoe to see the toe of her tattered sock stained red. She carefully pulled it off. The nail had been split and the skin was bruised to a dark blue, but otherwise it appeared to be fine. It just hurt like hell. Casey reached into her hoodie pocket and pulled out a scrap of fabric which she then used to wrap up her wounded appendage. Being careful she put her sock and shoe back on. She bit lip to stifle a whimper of pain as she stood up.
