Fantasy Anything Goes

He rolled to the side, barely evading the attack. He had to think of something. Surely there was a way to end this without drawing blood. He reloaded, chambering a high powered tranquilizer round. He stood up to run, but his foot struck some sort of root, and he stumbled for a few paces.

Victoria takes advantage of his mistake and knocks him to the ground, placing one of her large paws over him. She looks down at him and growls, a ribbon of smoke coming from her nostrils.

Zodiac watches the conflict from a rooftop, his mask removed and turned upwards to expose his whole face. From afar, his eyes looked like two red glowing beacons, like the ones on top of buoys and telephone towers. He stared down, thinking if he should intervene with the fight. He wanted to help, but he didn't want to be hurt or to hurt anyone else. And he thought he would aggravate Victoria more if Zodiac tried to help. So he just stayed, watching.

With an incredible strength, the yound wolf squeezed his arms upward and gradually began to lift Victoria's talon, straining and snarling viciously against the immense weight. "If you wanted a kiss, all you had to do was ask!" He taunted, trying to wriggle free of her grip. He managed to create a small gap, just enough for him to breathe easier, but it was still progress. He would either have to shift, or start using lethal ammunition. He wasn't exactly thrilled about either option, but what choice did he have? He was running out of energy, and no one appeared to be coming to his rescue anytime soon.

Zodiac started twitching in apprehension and fear as he saw the guy being Crushed by Victoria. Unable to hold back his urge to help anymore, he Shifted to Zodiac Dragon, He levitated above the air as his long, black, snake-like body. The yellow pylons along the spine glowing brighter than ever. He darted his reptilian eyes wildly, unsure of what to do.

"H-Hey!" He called out in a deep voice.

"Leave that wolf guy alone. He did nothing wrong to you."

"Well, be that way." Zodiac started to drool a dark tar-like substance from his parted Jaws. Zodiac suddenly dives and knocks Victoria off of the man, dragging her for a few yards and slamming her into a tree. He suddenly flew upward, dark gray tendrils curling like filaments of fiberglass in midair. Zodiac looked down at Victoria and yelled to Lycan.

"Run, you fool! I won't hurt her, but you must escape!"

Victoria takes flight and clamps her jaw around the other dragons tail. The metallic tase of blood fills her mouth and she drags the other dragon back to the ground.

As the second dragon appeared, Shinu spit out a string of obscenities and heaved himself to his feet, ragged and short of breath. He didn't want to hurt her, or see her injured, but he was running out of options. Thus far, he'd faced opponents his own size, opponents that could be defeated with conventional firepower. But this....this was more than a little out of his element. The other dragon had freed him from her grip, but that would only give him precious seconds. And so, out of sheer desperation, he did the one thing he felt he would regret more than anything else in the entirety of his life. He called his brother's name. "TSATSU! WHEREVER YOU ARE, GET YOUR ASS HERE, NOW! HELP ME!" After a few brief moments, he was answered by the darkening of the sky and a clap of lightning that split the heavens, striking the earth around him with a terrible trembling.

Zodiac growls in pain as his ink-black blood seems from his tail, suddenly, he gets an idea.

"Hey, I think you bit off more than you can chew..."

Zodiac hardened his blood on his tail to the consistency of basalt. He whips his tail around while Victoria's teeth are sealed stuck from the rock-hard blood.

Where the lightning had struck the ground, a large, smoking crater remained. An intense energy immediately filled the air, as if all life within one hundered meters had withered and died. In the midst of the crater kneeled the source of this energy, a man dressed all in elegant black and adorned with decorative chains. Slowly rising to his feet, the man reached up with a single clawed hand and gently swept aside his ebony locks, revealing a pair of cold and unyielding blue eyes. "Tsk tsk tsk, dear brother. For shame." The man said as a pair of jet black ears perked up from atop his head. "Who'd you pick a fight with this time?" The wolf's voice was more of a deep growl than anything, though the words had a deep sense of royalty and status in them. Tsatsukara, the Son of Cerberus, had arrived in Liondil; and he was most pleased to be back in town. With every move and every gesture, his aura seemed to reverberate through the air around them, as if life itself knelt in submission to his strength. Tsatsu took a quick look around and shook his head in disappointment. "Tsk tsk indeed, Shinukara. So, who have we here? Hmm? A pair of squabbling basilisks?" Shinu recoiled as his brother drew closer, a hint of trembling in his breathing.

Zodiac swoops down and lands on the ground, tending to his injured tail. He coughs up the tar substance onto his tail. He then exhales a small flame over the substance and hardens it, preventing the wound from bleeding. He turns his massive head up at Victoria and slinks back under a tree muttering something.

With a wave of his hand, Tsatsu generated an immense amount of energy and summoned a massive katana, over five feet in length from the hilt to the tip. "Shall I rend them unto dust, or simply ruffle their scales a bit?" He inquired as he took hold of the weapon and insheathed the blade, wielding it as though it were light as a feather. Twirling the blade with effortless intricacy, the young lycan flashed a sadistic grin, already contemplating what to do first. "If the two of you seek combat, I welcome any challenge. Though unlike my sibling here, I have no qualms about breaking bones or drawing blood." He said as he held the blade at his side in a reverse bladed grip.

"Oh, I don't think so" he said as he raised his empty hand, freezing Victoria in place with an unseen energy. Althought he lowered his hand, she remained in place, and he finally moved from where he stood. With all the leisure of a king on an afternoon stroll, the wolf approached her and stabbed his sword into the ground behind him, laying a single clawed hand on her snout. The moment his flesh met her scales, he smirked with glee and let out a rather boyish giggle. "Oh, you're gonna be just fine, madame. Trust me, he's not going anywhere for a long time." He said delightedly. And with that, he leaned closer and began to giggle even louder as he retreated a few paces and fetched his sword from the earth. "Come then, let us see what you can do then." He said as he leaped backwards, landing squarely between Shinu and Victoria. With a snap of his finger, he released his energetic hold on her, and welcomed the onslaught.

Victoria lands on the ground. She faces the man and let's out a deafening roar. She breathes fire at him, slowly approaching where he stood.

With nothing more than an extension of his hand, he created a shield of pure energy, shielding him from the fire, although it left his hair a bit more singed than he cared for. He chuckled and replied in kind, leaning forward to unleash a deafening howl and projecting a stream of flame all his own. But it was no ordinary fire the demon wolf exhaled. The flames were a deep plack, the color of midnight, with purple hues intermingled amidst the black. It was fire all the same, but it signified one very important thing about him. He was not an ordinary wolf, by any means. Although he and his brother were twins, Tsatsu held the distinction of being a Hellspawn, a child touched by darkness.

Victoria growls in pain as the fire hits her body. She back away from the man and extends her wings, preparing to take flight.

Tsatsu let out a wicked cackle as he twirled the sword in an elegant flourish. "Do you yield, madame?" He called up to her with a twisted grin on his face. "You see, brother? No harm done, and the day is won. Now then, shall we fetch a drink, or did you literally summon me to move a heavy object and then send me on my way?" He asked, but Shinu could barely comprehend what was taking place before him. Had the boy just spared a life? Had he chosen not to do irreparable harm and leave pandemonium in his wake? The white haired lycan simply gawked in awe as the reality of the situation. With a huff, his brother waved his hand and the katana vanished in a burst of blue lightning. "Oh, and by the way, Shinukara. Mother says hello. She asks that you call soon. Shall I give her your regards?" But the child did not wait for an answer. As quickly as he'd appeared, Tsatsu waved his hand and vanished with another clap of lightning to signal his departure. And with that, the lycan slowly gathered his thoughts and lit a cigarette, marveling at the fact that the only dead things in sight were roughly one hundered yards of withered grass and a tree. "Just another day at the office...." he mumbled, more to himself than anyone in particular.

He sat there in utter disbelief, smoking with a look of shellshock in his eyes. The wolf had seen all manner of things in his life, but never had he actually managed to fight a dragon before. Granted, Tsatsu had intervened and probably saved his life, but even so. With slow, deliberate movements, he got to his feet and shuffled over to Victoria in a daze, wobbling uneasily as he moved. Where had the other one gone? He looked around, but saw no trace of the other dragon. And so, he scooped the girl up in his arms and began the long trek home, with only one question on his mind. "Why does this crap keep happening to me?"

The young wolf held her to his chest as though she were a child, speaking in a ragged but gentle voice. "Hush now. It's alright. I needed the exercise anyway." He said as he cracked the bones in his neck. It hadn't been the worst of days, but he could certainly use a drink. First, he would take her home and tend to her, and then handle his business.
