Fantasy Anything Goes

He smirked and dug into his bag, rummaging around for a moment before revealing a small leather pouch with a black beaded drawstring. Without hesitation, he reached into his pocket and handed her a gold coin, three silver coins, and a small statue made of pure sapphire. Holding them in one hand, he cinched the pouch shut and put it back into his bag, offering her the items. "And if I want to buy it instead? Would this be acceptable?" He asked, already formulating his next move. He'd already managed to locate a blacksmith the previous day, and from what his eavesdripping had told him, the man had alot of money and an eye for fancy cannons. Shinu had plenty of those, and more could quickly be forged. He couldn't buy everything for her, but come Hell or high water, he was going to try anyway.

Victoria looks at the gold, then back at him. "I...I don't know what to say." She smiles and puts the things on the table, then jumps up and hugs him. "Thank you."

He was a bit shocked at her reaction, but he returned her hug and patted her head a few times. He wasn't used to interacting with people, much less in a non-violent manner. All the same, it was a welcome change of pace for the young wolf, and his ears twitched a few times in silent appreciation. After a few moments, he stepped back and spoke. "Now, let's get these others shipped off and grab some food. Girl's gotta eat." He said with a playful inflection to his words.

Victoria rolls her eyes and grabs her car keys. "Food shmood. Artists don't eat." She grabs the boxes and holds them in front of her, one of them easily being half of her side. She walks outside and down the steps. "Can you close the door behind you?"

He nodded and followed behind her, grabbing a rather large duffle bag on his way out. Making sure the door was locked, he pulled it shut and checked to make certain that no wandering eyes could find their way inside. His mind was already hard at work, planning the day ahead. First he'd help her with the paintings. Then, he'd fetch the cutting torch fuel and visit the blacksmith. And then, a hearty feast for them both. A good day's work indeed.

Victoria walks over to a small "garage" next to her house. It didn't have a door and was really just a shed, but she liked to call it a garage. She sets the boxes down and pulls a tarp off of her car. It was an '06 Ford Mustang in Tuxedo Black (such a fancy name). "This is my car. My one and only form of transportation. Don't ask how I got it. You don't want to know." She pushes a button on her key fob and the trunk pops open. "The post office really isn't that far, but these are a pain to carry."

He raised an eyebrow at the sight of American muscle, in such fine condition, but said nothing. However she'd managed to get the car into England, she further proved her fine taste to him. Without a word, he set about helping her load the paintings into the trunk, making sure that his bag went it first so as not to damage the artwork. "They'll be safer that way." He explained. "I have a few things to part ways with as well, if you don't mind, of course". The blacksmith was going to have a field day with the bag of goodies he was about to deliver, and they were sure to rake in quite a lovely price. Every one of the items inside had been crafted by his own hands, and some were even imbued with his brother's less powerful enchantments. Quite a pretty penny indeed, but none of them would be missed.

Victoria nods. "Just tell me where to go." She closes the trunk once everything was in and opens the driver's side door. "Dont ask to drive either. Last time I let someone drive my car it ended up in the bottom of a lake..."

Aileada awoke the next morning with an odd feeling. 'Another day?' She thought. Quickly glancing at the time she hopped up out of bed and went looking for Hunter's bag. Slowly and silently she pushed open the door to his room, peering in. He was still asleep. Relief ran over Aileada as she tip- toed into his room. 'Now to find the bag.' Considering there wasn't much in the room it wasn't a difficult task. Seeing it resting against the edge of his bed she let no time pass as she unzipped it carefully removed her book. "Come here, beautiful," She mumbled, almost inaudibly. Once it was in her hands she exited as quickly as she had entered, though didn't close the door at the risk of waking Hunter. She hugged the book to her chest as she entered her room, dropped down on her bed, and flipped it open.

Try as he might, he couldn't help but to laugh at her statement. How had someone managed to mishandle a mustang so viciously that it ended up in a lake? But then again, given the last time she'd been in a vehicle under his command, he certainly couldn't blame her for being cautious. All the same, he couldn't help but to comment. "Inconcievable." He said in between chuckles. "As far as my bit of business, it's just around the corner from the post office, if you'd care to join me. So long as you're alright with being around guns".

Her comment struck his curiosity. "Oh? What kind?" He inquired, his mind suddenly ticking down the list, attempting to guess her answer.

"Not exactly sure. It's small though. I also don't really know how to use it." Victoria starts her car and the engine begins to hum quietly. "I suppose I should learn, but usually when I feel threatened I change."

He said nothing, but he'd already added a task to his list for the day. It was a good thing he intended to visit the blacksmith, because he might have need of ammunition, and possibly a blade as well. He couldn't solve every problem permenantly, but he would help when and where he was able. And he certainly understood what ahe meant about changing as well. The incident with Zodiac still tingled in his memory. It had been three months since his last incident, and thankfully no one had been hurt this time. But the redhead had come too close for his liking, and he'd acted as best as circumstances had allowed, change or no change. He merely hoped it would be the last one for a very long time. With every shift, he could feel himself falling farther into the darkness.

Victoria pulls out of her garage and onto the road. She grips the steering wheel tighter, not knowing what to say to him. Did she upset him? She bites her lip and focuses on the road before her.

His ears twitched as he began to pick up on her worries. He would take some getting used to, as was always the case with people. And so, with a gentle hand, he reachedbout to touch her shoulder, looking ahead but speaking with a reassuring tone in his voice. "People call me Whisper for a reason. I just don't talk much, that's all." He said as he channeled a small portion of his energy to her. The warm, sunshine feeling from before began to course down his arm and into her shoulder, in an attempt to soothe her. "I've always been the quiet one. My brother's the one who never shuts up." He said with a smirk, thinking of his childhood. His brother's hot-headed nature and loud mouth had been the source of most of their troubles for as long as he could remember.

Victoria begins to calm down. She loosens her grip on the steering wheel and turns onto the main road. "You have a brother?" She asks. "Does he live here in Liondil?"

He shook his head and did the best he could not to think of his sibling, or the shadow that followed him. "He's like me. He travels alot, as a hobby." He said with an indescribable tone in his voice, something akin to sadness and anger combined with disappointment. He and his brother had set out to roam the world and embrace life, in their own ways. But, where Shinu had gone out to seek peace and harmony, his brother pursued darkness and power. The pyramids, the catacombs beneath France, the crypts of Russia, tombs of all sorts across the Middle East. Anywhere the dead laid in rest, or dark magic could be found, his brother Tsatsu had been found there at some point. At heart, the child meant well, but his views were severely flawed. Shinu wielded magic and his lycan abilities with care and caution. His brother wielded them as the Grim Reaper wielded his scythe, cutting wide and deep into life wherever he could.

Victoria nods. "I would like to travel someday. Go to France and see the Louvre. The United States. Maybe even Russia." She smiles and pulls the car to the side of the street in front of the post office. She puts the car in park and turns it off. She puts her head back on the chair and let's out a sigh. "I envy you."

He turned his head to her and raised an eyebrow. Envy? Him? "What makes you say that?" He inquired. Sure, he'd seen the world, but his choice of travel habits were borderline insane. He did have fond memories though, and he thought of them often.

"You've traveled the world, you have family, freedom. I've been here for as long as I remember." Victoria opens the trunk and gets out of her car. She walks around to the back and pulls the boxes out, carefully leaning them against the side of her car.

He followed suit and retrieved his duffle bag, pondering to himself as he carefully shouldered the bag. Had he really lived such an extravagent life? He dismissed the idea for the moment and focused on the task at hand. "Well, it's not as easy as it looks, but it is fun sometimes." He said as he offered to help her carry her paintings. "When the time is right, maybe you can come with me." The words were past his lips before he even knew what he was saying. Take her with him? Had he lost his marbles? There was no way he could allow himself to uproot someone and drag them through some of the places he'd been to. But still, the idea appealed to some hidden part of him. The company might be nice, and it would be small comfort to have someone watching his back out there.

Victoria's face lights up and she smiles. "Really?" She picks up the paintings and starts to walk towards the post office.

He shrugged as casually as he could manage under the weight of his bag. "Possibly. Time will tell." He said as he followed behind her, his mind drifting back to his little stunt from last night. Since they'd touched the subject of his sibling already, just exactly how had Tsatsu managed to pass through here and miss that book? Had he taken it already, he wondered? His instincts told him to stick around a bit longer, maybe do another search tonight and see what turned up. Still, his mind lingered. Tsatsu never left a stone unturned, so how had he overlooked the book?

Victoria nods. "I would love to go with you." She walks into the post offices and hauls the boxes onto the counter. A woman with short blonde hair and red eyes comes to the counter and takes the packages. Victoria pays to ship them. "Thank you," she says quietly and heads back out of the post office.
