Totally human, I swear!
First and foremost, I want prospective applicants to know that there should be as much humor and lightheartedness as foreboding and drama. Classes include Calculus of Doom and Everything You’re Not Supposed To Do, after all.
This doesn't mean there won't be violence, references to sensitive topics, facetious humor, debauchery, a general darkness of tone, and other content that may be considered objectionable. Characters may be evil in ways that reflect real-life ideologies, but please don't be evil on your side of the fourth wall.
RPN rules and basic etiquette apply to what behavior is expected from roleplayers.

RPN rules and basic etiquette apply to what behavior is expected from roleplayers.
- If you don't understand what somebody else means, ask for clarification. There is no shame in it, and if anybody gives you flak about it then it is not your fault.
- Hostility on our side of the fourth wall is needless. If you cannot discuss matters in a decent fashion then you are reprehensible.
- Please be patient with delays, as they may come due to unforeseen circumstances and last longer than intended.
- Let everyone know if you are permanently dropping out of the rp.
- Insensitive language belongs to insensitive characters. Ableist, racist, ageist, sexist, or otherwise expressly prejudiced language is prohibited from third person narrations and descriptions. If you use it by accident, or if it's something that doesn't have connotations that are too bad, it can be excused, since many people don't know any better ways to phrase things. I won't hold it against you as long as I know it's an honest mistake, but I will probably ask you to change it.
- Differences in style or creative ability are welcome here. Write script style, novel style, or anything outside and in between; Be as loquacious or laconic as you please.
- You may not control another person's character, or make big changes to them without the consent of the roleplayer that made them.
- When interacting with others, whether in or out of character, make sure that they are comfortable with what you or your character will do. A rule of thumb is to ask for the other roleplayer/s permission before your character does something not PG-rated to another character. A warning is not enough. Consent is key.
- When shipping students, the maximum age difference allowed is one year.
- You may make as many characters as you want.
- If you make more than one character, give each one a different position. Like if you only make two characters, you can have a staff member and a student villain, but you can't have two student villains. You can have more than one character in the same position, but you also have to have another character in another position. For instance, you can have two expendables and a student henchman. Exception: You may have more than one unranked character even if you don't have other characters of other ranks, as long as they come to be different ranks from each other later.
Also, while not mandatory, it is recommended that everybody make at least one confirmed expendable. - You must give your characters a relatively probable age, unless you have a good explanation.
- Your character's primary trait should not be their sexuality.
- Please no canon characters from recent media, even AU versions. You can use a picture for a faceclaim, or reference canon characters in the chat or roleplay, but that's the extent of it. "Canon" characters from folklore and certain public domain works are a gray area, and their acceptance as characters in this rp will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
- Do not roleplay as a recognizeable real-life person, even an alternate version of them, if they lived within three centuries of now. If you need a character who fills a real-life role such as the leader of a real country, make up a fictional character to replace them in-rp.
- You may use any medium to convey your character's appearance.
- The deadline for character creation is the beginning of the second day in rp time, unless there's a reasonable explanation for why your character is arriving later in the school year.
- Please wait a minimum of four minutes after the last narrative post is made to post your response.
- Please stay with this roleplay as long as you can, and do not permanently leave while your character is interacting with somebody else's.
- Let everybody know if you are leaving the rp permanently
- If you have any other questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer when I can, and update the rules if need be. No worries, I'll let everybody know when the rules are updated, and the amendments will appear both in this post and in an additional one
