Realistic or Modern Alder High

Artemis was checking her reflection in her phone's camera. True, her make up was a little excessive but there wasn't too much. Somehow, her mind was still on that comment. It was the one that had stayed on her mind. She shook her head and put her phone back in her bag. She looked fine. She returned to the book that she was pretending to read because she was in the library and libraries are meant for reading. She decided to skip lunch because a. She wasn't hungry and b. She wasn't up for sitting alone in the lunchroom and c. She had made too many enemies.

"The name is Piper." She said as she swallowed her food. "It's nice to meet you." A smile appeared on Piper's face. She didn't have many friends and barely anyone knew her.

"I like your name" Crystal says and takes a bite of her apple. "So, there's a party at my place after school. You should come." Crystal adds, still smiling.

She raised an eyebrow, "What kind of party and what is it for?" She took another bite of her salad and then a drink of her sweet tea. Piper then turned towards Crystal and propped her head onto her hand.

"Well, it's a pool party. But there'll be alcohol, pop, juice, food, dancing, and a bonfire. And it's just a random party. You don't have to come if you don't want to." Crystal states and takes another bite of her apple.

"I'll come, I need to get out more often." She lets out a giggle and turns back to her food. "It'll be a great time to wear my new bathing suit I got." She smirks to herself. Piper stabbed a few croutons with her fork and shoved them in her mouth. She wasn't one to care about what other thinks about her, especially when eating.

Crystal smiles happily and nods her head. "I'm sure you'll look great in the bathing suit." She winks and quickly finishes her apple, standing up and throwing it away, before going back to the table and sitting next to Piper.

Piper blushes a little. "Thanks." She smiled and finished her salad, closing the top and tossing the tupperware bowl into her lunchbox. Then, she takes a gulp of her sweet tea.

Crystal nods her head and rests her elbows on the table. She pulls out a piece of paper and writes her name and number on it. "This is so I can text you my address." She murmurs, smiling.

Brenden sighs and walks into the cafeteria, wondering where he should sit. He spots Crystal sitting with some other girl, so he walked up to her shyly. "Uh, hey. Can I sit here?" He asks, and scratches the back of his neck.

"Of course." Crystal says and motions to the spot next to her. "How were your classes so far? We have like 3 left and then the party at my house. You can come if you want. Invite anyone." She says.

"Alright, sounds good." She pulled out her phone and punched Crystal's number in. She sent her a text message, "That's my number." Piper said as she locked her phone and shoved it back into her bag. She turns and looks at the guy that had just walked up, she gave him a warm and welcoming smile, "Sure." Piper then looked back at Crystal, "Well, other than what happened last period, they're pretty boring." She giggled again. "I would love to invite people but, I don't really know many of the students here, so.."

"Oh, you know how most classes are. Booooring." He says stretching out the word to add to it's effect. "Oh, and cool. What kind of party?" He asks, sticking an m&m in his mouth. He rarely ate very much, and usually it was just sweets. He knew it wasn't healthy, but it was just the way he was.

Zyler walked into the lunch room. He had been in the bathroom for quite some time. Doing nothing other than smoking a little pot. He leaves for work in a little bit. He notices all of the people around. Where had he been? There were so many other people he didn't see before. A few girls scampered towards him and started asking him how his day was. After talking for them for a few minutes he walked towards a few of the kids he had seen earlier. He see's Brenden, the only one who really seemed to know what the hell he was saying around here. The others had blatantly ignored him, which was fine with Zyler. But then again, who likes to be ignored? He shakes his head and walks towards Brenden. "Hey Brenden. How has you first day been so far?" he asks, smiling at the younger boy.

"Pool party. There'll be a lot of things to do there though." She says and laughs at both of their answer on how classes went. "Well then you guys can have fun at the party and let loose."

Brenden laughed at Crystal's statement, then turned to Zyler. "Oh, hey Zee," He pauses examining Zyler's hair thoroughly, "Oh, you know the usual. Just school a bunch of boring teachers talking about nothing I care about." He finishes, then pats the seat next to him for Zyler to sit down. "May I say, I love what you've done to your hair." Brenden says in a weird accent and winks jokingly.

She gave up on trying to read and decided that she would go and bully people further. She slid the book away from her and got up. She headed to the lunchroom. The minute she walked into the lunchroom she saw them all. Piper's hair was the thing that drew her gaze to them. She walked over to them.

"Hello Princess. Random boy in my English class. Pink haired freak." Then, she saw that boy there and scowled. He was the one that stared at her without speaking earlier.

Zyler laughs. And in the same weird accent a wink replies, "Oh yes. DeeOn from that little store is just fabulous at styling." But in fact he didn't know anyone named "DeeOn" at all. It was a joke. He sits beside Brenden and looks around at the others. What were they all conversing about anyways? He notices Artemis arrive and looks at her, his eyes narrowing.

"Let loose." Piper winks and a grin smears across her face. That's when Artemis arrived, she rolled her eyes and looked at her, "Did you come to make out with Crystal? I knew you secretly wanted it." She made a kissy face and sounds towards her. Piper broke out into a giggle and turned away from her, Artemis wasn't worth her time.
