I don't know where you last left off but, Night Raid attacked the Capital in order to steal as many imperial arms as possible to support the Rebels, Most of the fights have wrapped up and most of Night raid is at their hideout right now just mingling with each other. As for what the guards are doing I'm not sure right now.
