Of corse she'd somewhat predict his future moves since the serpent wasn't necessarily completely aimed for just the shadow but rather at both Ellie and the shadow. Glancing at the shadow from the corner of her eye, he had morphed his hand to be a blade in which was caught by the previously made shield of vines around her waist of which he was aiming for. The vines got a grip of the blade not too soon after they made contact, wrapping and manifesting around his blade and up his arm and soon around his body, puncturing his body with liquid acid, the serpent planning to do the same with Ellie once it had a nibble of her. The shadow hadn't moved the horrified Ellie out of the creatures path, all the better for it to go at her like wolves to a fawn.

The shadowy figure was stuck in place, but not by the fact it was paralyzed but because the vines were gripping onto the figure. The head snapped towards Ellie's direction. Seeing that the large serpent creature was heading towards Ellie, Tremki wasn't too far from the battle field, hiding in a bush he used his trump card 'Gates of Kage'. A large black portal like object appearing behind him, a total of 50 shadowy figures crept out and all hoarded themselves towards the Serpent.

She whispered low enough she hoped Spice could only here her. In truth she was torn between not wanting them to attack and wanting them too, competing against Sera sounded kinda fun even though she knew she would never stand a chance in a competition of fighting against her. She just hoped they moved out soon. "So, where do you wanna go tonight?" She asked, looking up at her and trying to change the subject.


She'd much rather the both of them be in a good mood if there was a chance Night Raid would try something.

Like she said earlier, she kept a close watch on Kiri but she was also alert about what the other three guards were doing. The fog. The carriage started moving, with that guard riding the horse following them. She didn't know what their Imperial Arms were and neither did she know Night Raid's but when it comes to numbers, these guards were outnumbered.

Despite the distance between the base and forest where the battle was taking place, Arden could faintly hear sound of explosions from what she could make it was Sins? The first shot didn't alarm her but the next few afterwards did. He said something about fishing when he left but why would he need to use his teigu for fishing? Unless... Arden stood up from her seat, leaving the almost emptied tea upon the counter as she moved out from the base without a word to the others of her whereabouts. As she sprinted into the forest with her fox mask on, she was determined to find out what had happened and why she had to stop drinking her tea in the first place. This better be good.


Making it to the scene, she had realized that Sin along with another girl and a few others from what she could assume were associated with the guards had broken into a fight. From the intensity of the battle, no one seemed to notice her presents as she watched high from a tree, she had been there for a good while watching before Sin's ultimate demise lead him to go into hiding, causing her to jump down to aid him. Although she wasn't much of a healer, she could drag him back before he actually gets killed. Crouching down next to him, she gave his cheek a little pat as a wake me up. "Yo." Her first words to him as she continued, "You look like shit." Pointing out the obvious in her usual monotoned voice. "We.. I rather, need to get you back to base." Coming under his arm and helping him up to his feet as she lead the way back to base rather slowly for his sake. "I'm guessing the fish did you dirty?" Asking him to lighten the mood a bit, obviously not doing so since the tone of her voice didn't change with her intentions.

Seeing as the serpent got hoarded by more black shadows, she had to retract her vines back that controlled the serpent. "Tsk.." Just a little more and I would've gotten to her. The vines that controlled the restraint of first shadow began wrapped around him and tightly squeezing in until he couldn't be squished anymore and evidently *POP* went the shadow into a few different pieces. Now she'd have to deal with the rest of them, lovely. Facing towards him, she got ready for them to come to her.

When the vines retracted, the hoard piled up on top of each other as if racing each other towards Mari. Some had even pulled the other's back causing them to fall in order to get to the girl. The figure next to Mari was squished, dropping to the ground a pond of black goo like substance. It didn't move and seemed to be defeated, however the hoard rushing into Mari's position didn't stop.

Sin was practically half conscious when Arden came to help him, he was losing more and more blood from the shot in his stomach. Looking up to her he never thought it would be Arden saving him, but he never thought about a lot of things which have happened. Laughing, or at least what would be a laugh if not for blood building in his mouth "Let's just say..I'm never fishing again."

Sera's face immediately flushed several different shades of red and pink when what Spice had said sunk down into her mind, pretty much fully ignoring the fact it was mostly code. "Th-that's not what I meant!" She shouted nervously, leaning upright off of her shoulder. "I-I just meant it'd be nice to take a break. Go shopping and stuff. You're the one that thought of it that way." She added, looking down at the passing ground, silently hoping no one else heard their conversation. She looked back up at Spice, "Maybe you're the one that's the perv, hm?" She asked her, smirking. "The bet was your idea after all." She added, winking playfully.

As the carriage reached the middle of the fog bombs went off under the horses and under the side that sera and spice were on kicking the two into the same ditch as aero and killing the horses aero immediately pulled his pistol out and aimed the pistol at sera while aiming the rifle at spice "I sugest you stay down before I fill you both with lead...GILROY CLEAR THE FOG!!!!" He yelled


Inou had taken aim on Fran if she made a move inou wouldn't hesitate to kill her


Kirk was at this point a little shaken up her ears were ringing from the explosion she tried kicking the door open and failed so she pulled out her scalpel again and tried to pick the lock frantically if she could get out she could get to aero and watch his back she heard him calling out to someone and tried that much harder

As the hoard charged towards Mari, she used her vines to spear them like kebabs. Of corse she knew that stabbing them wouldn't stop them since they still moved ideally once skewered but this would prevent them from get any closer. Now she had multiple vines, all jammed packed with shadows still trying to make their way to her despite the vines preventing them from doing so. What now? Using the vines to just start mashing and crushing and doing whatever they could to destroy, squish, and remove the skewered shadows from her vines in way she could, there now were black goops of them everywhere. Gross..

Upon arriving back at the base, Arden lead Sin down to the couch since it was the nearest somewhat comfortable thing around at the time. Blood dripped onto he wooden floor as they walked in but that would be the least of her worries at this point. "Stay, I'll go get bandages for you since.. You know." Removing her mask as she walked to the bathroom, she same back with a first aid and a bowl with a rag. "How much pain are you in?" Asking him as she knelt down in front of him, getting ready to clean off the blood from his body.

Although the original plan was for him to get kiri considering he had two guards in front of him he didn't want to move off them so he had inou snipe out the horse's leg causing it to fall on top of its rider pinning one of her legs under neath it
