I kind of hope they end up in a relationship where he is constantly, slightly covertly, and perhaps begrudgingly trying to get Hopsek to like him via food but Hopsek always sees him at best as “the other Teifling” but usually seems to call him bad things like the rude one.

and then, way down the line when Hopsek is actually calling literally everyone by their real name, he will still call Kalvienne “the other Teifling“
but it’ll totally be in a “Buddy cop“ way... until that sad moment one of them is about to die. Then he’ll use his real name.
or just call him rude and stab him in the face. who knows with Goblins really.
