Age of Heroes

Cedric thought about it. "What exactly is the injury you are trying to hide from us?" he asked this anticipating a really bad injury.

Akira looked back to Rose and waited for her to ready herself. He then looks around and sees Cedric and Starfire talking and Starfire wrapping bandages around her "it seems we all have something to hide" he says to himself as he looks at Rose, "you ready?"

" you know me I'm always ready " and Rose pulled out a rubbery piece of material and strapped it to the end I'd her danger and she smiled
 
The group was getting along...somehow. The brother and sister are starting to spar, and the other two are having a bit of a personal info exchange. The sound of steel against steel stopped, Seth had put back the dagger he had taken. He then, said to them, "It is nice to know that you are all getting along. But, we do have a quest and we cannot afford to waste time."


He signaled the guards to open the gates, as he gestured the others to follow him. Walking closer, the gigantic metal doors slowly opened, making way for the Heroes's exit. Before stepping outside the walls, Seth turned around and said to them, "In order to get to Fort Mirage, we must first pass through the Forest of Almir. There has been no signs of danger, but still, be alert." Then, turning around, he took the first step outside the walls. As he was walking, he held the map, and was wondering what really was at Fort Mirage.

Meanwhile, at the conquered kingdom of Reindall, Desterrat soliders were running about, going in and out of all the buildings in the kingdom's vicinity.


In the castle, at the very throne, sat a tall man. He wore pure black armor, which seemed to have spikes on its shoulder plates, with a black cape. His eyes were blood red, stricken with a gaze that could send a regular man running. He had a dark, smoky aura, making it seem as if he was coming from the shadows. He spoke in a deep voice, "Where is it...I must have it..."


Then, a soldier came up to him, bowing down while saying, "Sire, the Sword is not in any of the treasure rooms, nor the armories. They have all been emptied out." This angered the king, making him shout in rage as he stood up. "He took it!" ,he said angrily, "Assemble the army, we leave for Lucier at my command." The solder then, left.

Cedric followed Seth although he thought something was fishy with the whole stay alert business. He kept his sword at his fingertips laying calmly on his shoulder. He walked behind Seth and kept looking around.
 
Akira sheathed his katana as he looked at Rose, "Seths right, we need to focus on the task at hand, we can spar another time" he smiles at Rose and walks over to Seth, looking behind him from time to time. He was cautious about the other heroes, he was intrigued by them. But he was most curious about their fighting style.
 
Starfire was about to answer but Seth said it was tie to leave. Starfire gathered her things and stood up and followed the others. She then looked over at Cedric and said, "To answer your question from earlier. Don't worry about it it's nothing serous."

" Arg.....fine " Rose grumbled and took the rubber piece of put it back in her bag and put her daggers back in its hollister then she followed at the caboose of the group and watched from behind
 
She is lying thought Cedric. He peaked over Seth's shoulder to see the map. This is going to be a long journey. "Anyone have any good jokes to tell?" He was trying to break the tension that regained when Seth came back.
 
Rose groaned and said sarcastically " Please no I'm allergic to stupid people I break out in sarcasm " and she giggled then streached and her tummy grumbled
 
Akira looked around as the heroes started to make their way to the destination. He grabs a sweet from his pocket and pops it into his mouth a he draws his katana and admires the blades beauty as his reflection can be seen in the metal, he then holds it to his side, blade pointing tiwards the ground so no one gets hurt by it. "This would be so much easier if I flew there" he mumbled to himself as he kept walking
 
"Well not all of can fly so bleh to you." Cedric made it sound rather dumb hoping to get even the smallest of grins from someone. The black sword with the light blue edges and out line didn't look cooler then Akira's but Cedric thought it was meant for power over speed. "Um... Akira was it whats your sword mean for Power or Speed?"
 
* man would I feel comfortable flying to the base * Rose thought as she walked and she fiddled with her pure white bandage
 
As King Moya stood up he almost immediately found Kurisu at his side. "Is there anything I can do, Mi-lord?" He stammered out as he caught up, and he eagerly awaited an answer.
 
She watched the others talk. Didn't see the point not really much to talk about but she guessed it would be batter then utter silence.
 
Rose sighed and shoved her hands in almost invisible pockets in her dress and walked on * I'm surprised no one has asked about the bandage yet it a new record * Rose thought sarcastically
 
Akira looked at Cedric and smiled "My sword is an all rounder. Powerful attacks and very lightweight which makes it fast. But if I had to pick one or the other... Then its definitely a speed type" he sheaths the katana and keeps walking. "What about your sword?"

Cedric looked at his sword. "This one has light metal and is very thin for speed but very wide for defense." Cedric pulled the hilt in half causing the sword's blade to shrink and also split in half. They went into the original 6-inch daggers he had. "If i ever needed to attack this is what i would use." He looked at Akira's katana. How does he parry with it its light but cant take a huge amount of contact.

A light, yet frigid wind swept through Reindall, rattling street signs and blowing dust through the dark, abandoned streets. Atop the grand balcony of the Reindall Keep, a few solemn figures could be seen, observing the massive army that had gathered below. Standing centermost was King Moya, an Ascendant hated by the survivors in Lucier, but adored as a god by the subjects he stood above. To his right, clad in orange and steel armor, stood Kinalt with his pale purple cloak slowly waving in the wind. The army he observed would be the final blow to Lucier, even with all of the blessings Crea had bestowed upon them.


To the right of the army gathered outside Reindall stood a camp housing some of the best warriors and mages in King Moya's army, hand picked by Kinalt to accompany him to Fort Mirage. Despite Kinalt's disappointment in being absent for the final battle, he knew his mission was more important than that battle could ever be. From an unknown source, they had heard there was an Ascendant with the capability of facing Moya as an equal, and that they would find more information in Fort Mirage.


Hearing footsteps behind them, Kinalt turned to find Kurisu by the King's side, eagerly awaiting a task. Looking Kurisu in the eyes, Kinalt's metallic helmet showed no emotion other than a dull green glow from within.

Akira laughed as he looked at Cedrics blade changing its shape. "My blade is coated in a specific type of magical residue, on top of that it possesses something else, so despite its apearence, the blade is incredibly solid, it cant be broken by necessary means, giving it an incredible defence rate. Thats all thanks to the magic I learnt back in Etheros" he smiled as he then looked at Cedrics sword "Your blade intrigues me. I will enjoy seeing you fight with it" @cjpb
 
Rose watched the two talk about swords and she rolled her eyes then dug around in her bag and pulled out her homemade caramel and began to munch on some the smell wafting to the others
 
Cedric thought about that. I don't want to fight to soon. He sniffed the scent of caramel and looked back at Rose. Well I guess shes trying to attract everything to us. "So who or what are you two you don't have that heroic feel you seem older and more adept." He looked at Akira when he said the second part. It looks like hes had years of experience but he doesn't look that old. Something is not right with that picture and I want to know what it is.

"She enjoys caramel, she eats it wuite a lot you see..." Akira looks at him for a minute without saying anything, he then smiles and says "Im just a normal citizen born in Etheros, ive been training to fight all my life" he looks at Cedric. He knew he was starting to get curious. "And im not that old.. Im only 18..." He giggled to hinself as he says "what about you Cedric? Tell me about yourself"
 
As the Heroes chatted, they soon reached the Forest of Almir. Before them, trees of green and yellow stood. The whistling winds from the forest breezed through them, giving them a slight chill.


Seth told them, "Here we are, the Forest of Almir." As soon as he was about to enter, he saw something in the trees at the entrance. Markings, of a language not familiar to the South. He said,"These are Ancient elvish writing....Ir niem ot methera, Ir hed ot livera, Ir pie ot messera." He touched the marking on the tree as he wondered what it could mean.

Meanwhile, at the Reindall castle, in the throne room, Moya spoke to his loyal general, but his armor accidentally moved the throne a bit to left. The room shook as a large writing of symbols were seen on the floor before the throne. Moya saw this and said, "Ekh nom presadia qor thel, Ekh nimar nom liska. The breath of life, hidden under the origin of magic." He then proceeded to exit the room, as he ordered his general, "Tell Kinalt to come to me." He smirked, as if he had something in plan.


Outside, he had started to do his speech. "My loyal soldiers, today, we come closer to the godly transformation I crave, and the revelation of the truth to the others. We shall march to Lucier, and break it's walls! We shall show the goddess our might, and the true power of humanity!" The army cheered as thin king ended the speech.


Battalion by battalion, the army of Desterrat started to depart Reindall's borders.
 
Something in Cedric's head kept telling you he is lying he isn't normal. His face went to relatively happy to grim quickly. "My life has been a mess, I never knew my parents, The first knight I trained with died, i worked for the black market for years and only recently I was in a castle raid and taken under a knight's wing to learn what I know." He almost bumped into Seth as we stopped. When he heard the language he looks very confused.
