Adelaide Hills is a small town nestled in the Appalachian mountains, about a three hour drive from the city of Pittsburg. Most people don't know about it. Most people don't care about it. But some do. Because Adelaide Hills is a strange town, different from the ones surrounding it. Adelaide Hills is home to something sinister, something dark, something lurking. And it yearns to break free.
But a group of unsuspecting strangers, neighbors, and friends are here to stop it. Maybe. If they feel like it.
If not, then we're screwed.

Hello 1999! On the cusp of an new century, the town of Adelaide Hills is not so different from how it always was, except for the preppers that think the world is going to end in year 2000. The town is a center of activity, home to some 3000 people. However, it is also home to something else. Or somethings.
It is the worst kept secret in Adelaide Hills that some of the citizens aren't strictly human. Vampires, werewolves, witches. All manner of supernatural beings walk among the people of Adelaide Hills, integrated into the public with ease. No one talks about it aloud but everyone knows the truth. It is why the town has become a refuge of sorts, for the monstrous and weird seeking a better life.
But something has shifted in the small town, among the main street window displays and bonfire camping grounds. Something sinister is lurking in the corners, snatching up children in the dark of night, only to return them stranger. It whispers lies into the ears of the unsuspecting, driving some to madness. And now, a teenage girl has turned up dead, murdered brutally.
Adelaide Hills has always been peaceful, humans living among monsters. But the pot is boiling and soon, it will bubble over.

| As much as this is a play off of cheesy supernatural TV shows, this is, and I cannot reiterate this enough, a horror roleplay. It will get dark in some places and blood and gore should be expected. If that makes you uncomfortable, please turn away now. |
| If you have an issue with drug and alcohol usage, social issues, different orientations, or anything of that sort, feel free to leave now. On that note, steamy stuff has to fade to black and go to PM (and follow all in0site rules). I don't want none of that. I don't care if it's mentioned, just don't go beyond that. | Every character has an important role, so don't worry about your character not being important. I will give more details on each character and their relationships upon reservation. If you want something specific to happen, I am willing to work with you. This is largely a sandbox world and I am willing to accept mostly anything, but it has to be within reason. That being said, I might reject certain paranormal beings for various reasons, usually relating to cultural appropriation. |

| Insert as much drama as possible into the IC, but I will not tolerate drama in the OOC. It is unnecessary and immature. |

| Let me know in advance if you're going to be absent for more than a few days. If you're inactive on the roleplay for more than two weeks without prior warning, your character is going to be killed off by the Moth Man. |
| I will not be adding more roles. Once they are filled, they are filled. If someone falls through, the role will reopen and be offered first to someone else in the group then to an outsider expressing interest. |
