Fandom Acheron (Reboot)

He raised an eyebrow as Abigail got up and walked away. Of course he understood why, but he hadnt really expected her to walk away. Maybe it was his mistake but regardless. Turning back to Nidelia, he gave a small smile as the idea of the quest made him a little excited. "I'n not really sure to be honest. I just hope it's something interesting that'll actually challenge me...Not many of my recent quests have actually pushed me to try much. Can't develop my magic without some kind of challenge being presented, ya know?"

Arvin, in his sleep, slowly rolled off the makeshift platform, he started falling.

"Ah, the idiot is falling." Etheria said and leapt up into the air and caught the sleeping Arvin, she landed loudly and hurt her leg, causing it to bleed a bit.

It was as it always was. As she came in, her entrance was trumped only moments later as another, obviously popular member of the guild came in and immediately everyone took notice. Conversations and laughter and friendship ensued. Squeezing him tighter, Tomas kept quiet. He could easily read the situation and as much as he wanted to, he knew nothing would make her feel better. His eyebrows furrowed in frustration as Lauretta sank into the shadows of the guild’s architecture behind the group.

It hit her kind of hard but she understood it. She had never done anything to gain acknowledgment. Letting out a long, quiet sigh, she kind of smiled even though her eyes were shadowed from anyone's sight. All she needed was Tomas. Lauretta squeezed him even harder than before after away from the group.

The announcement from even the Master mattered not to her anymore. Surely she wouldn't of been able to participate. She lacked both the skills of fighting, as well as the coordination to work in a group. Like a ghost she made her way to the job board. It was few and far between jobs she could do. A few collection jobs, a few bounties but one stuck out more than the others. One was a missing person's job. A child. Looking at it for a second, Lauretta couldn’t help it. Taking it down carefully with one hand, she stuffed it into her pocket and made her way back into the hall.

Slowly and carefully, she avoided everyone and silently, opened the doors once again to leave. Only this time she didn’t turn back as she exited.

Nidelia blinked as she mulled it over in her head. What could Gihain possibly need done? If it was announced to the whole guild that would mean she wanted everyone to participate, or was she only wanting the S-classes to do the job? No, she would have specified if she had and she doubted Ez would leave that crucial bit out.

"Yeah, really, though I don't know if I could get any better at my Water magic," she says smiling. "What with my master having died, I could only master what I'd already been taught," she adds nonchalantly as she sipped her glass of water. "You know, I've always been curious Ez, what brought you to Acheron?" she asks curiously for the first time.

"Well...I kinda came here to Acheron to start a new life. I never really had much other than my magic, so when I had mastered it, I decided to go out and seek some new adventure. Glad I found a home here in the guild. Keep life interesting and I can live it out with friends here."

Hearing Liberty's voice literally right next to her ear, Abigail's brows furrowed and twitched. What in gods green earth possessed that girl that she wanted to talk to her. Abigail grinded her teeth together as the kept talking and talking. Finally after five minutes of her talking, Abigail stood and looked over at her. "Would you just shut up! I don't care about your dammed birds! Stop talking to me. I don't care how your day was, I don't care how your last mission was. Just go away!".

After her outburst, Abigail slammed her mug down on the bar and turned away from the girl. She walked towards to doors of the guild and stopped before reaching them. She looked back at Ez, "...just drop by my house and let me know what the big job was". At that she turned and continued walking, giving Lauretta a look as she passes the girl on her way out.

Kai jumped and let out a small shriek when he heard Abigail's sudden outburst. She had seemed nice enough when he was talking to her, but suddenly she seemed so rude. After he had collected his thoughts he realized it was more like an outburst after somebody bothered you when all you wanted was to be alone. With a small shrug he approached the job board and took a deep gulp. He had heard the Gihain mention a large mission, but in the back of his mind he knew he wasn't ready for that one. With a small sigh he grabbed a mission that he figured would help him train and be pretty simple at the same time. It wasn't worth much, but the task was just to remove a few over sized worms. "Can't be too hard I guess..." Sighing Kai flicked his finger and another magic circle appeared over his hand as the small dirt serpent Jormungandr returned to its orbit around his body. "I'll be back." Kai paused a second after speaking to realize that nobody was really listening, and simply bowed as he headed to the address on the mission.

There was a loud bang as the doors started to shut but the girl paid little attention to him. She was solemn in her silence and only a moment later a girl stormed out, addressing the others as she left about informing her of the outcome of their meeting.

Lauretta was also leaving but she didn’t expect anyone else to leave. Everyone was suck good friends it seemed unheard of and out of place for anyone else to act much like herself. Again, she squeezed Tomas tighter, holding him firmly against her chest as her head was directed downwards and her eyes sad.

If only for a moment her eyes came up and connected with Abigail’s. She seemed like she might have been made and the contact for just this once made her nervous. Her cheeks filled a light shade of pink just under her eyes. It was like someone acknowledged her existence.

Tomas on the other hand. Was not shy and knew this would be the perfect time to activate his plot. He would be sure to win Lauretta some friends, even it it cost him his life. Struggling for a second, both his arms got free and he wiggled a little more.

Lauretta struggled, thinking to herself, What the hell!? and then Tomas shouted.

Hiiii Abigail!!!!” His smile as huge as always, obnoxious and attention grabbing. But quickly Lauretta took her hand and covered his mouth, only letting mumbled profanities escape and she attempted to silent the feline. Quickly Lauretta glanced back at the girl seeing if she was going to stop or keep walking. Afraid of the wrath that she might had incurred just now.

Nidelia had been about to reply to Ezekiel's comment just before hearing an outburst from Abigail at the bar. She jumped in her seat and had instinctively pressed herself to him having been rather startled. What the hells?! Why did she freak out like that?!

She watched as Abigail got up from her seat and headed out the doors, but she didn't leave before turning to face them and spoke to Ezekiel. She never claimed to understand introverts, after all, she herself was very much an extravert. But seriously, couldn't Abigail have said it much nicer than she had?

She blushed when she noticed how close she was to Ezekiel and she scooted away slightly and cleared her throat. "I'm... going to check on Liberty," she says and gets up smiling softly as she walked over to the bar. "You okay Libby? That was rather startling..." she says sympathetically as she then looked as Tomas then also shouted at Abigail. She sighed softly, then turned back to Liberty.

Just as Abigail was about to leave the guild, Tomas the ever loud and obnoxious cat that followed Lauretta around, open his fish guzzling mouth. She looked at the furr ball for a moment, contemplating just walking past or shutting down that cat as well. Abigail turned her gaze the the girl the cat belonged to, who seemed to be trying to keep his mouth shut. A small smirk splayed it's self across her lips as it seemed the girl knew just how bad she could be. Shoving her hands into her pockets, Abigail turned and walked out the doors, feeling one victim was enough for today.

Once outside, she took in a deep breathe and looked up. She didn't really mean to snap on Liberty like that. The poor girl was just there at the worst possible time. Abigail was annoyed at the fact that Elo hasn't come back, she was annoyed that her and Ez, hadn't found a good mission yet. Signing she looked down at the ground and shuffled her feet, kicking away a few pebbles that were lying around. Abigail wasn't sure if she should just stay outside away from everyone or just go on home. Sighing again, she leaned against the side of the building, taking a few moments to think to herself.

Lauretta only had a moment of being scared. It was normally against her personality to be scared of anyone but it was just a moment of weakness. As the girl turned to walk away, Lauretta found herself again, and being ignored as well as not having a reply or wasting time on Tomas, she realized that Abigail didn’t think she or Tom was worth any time.

Tomas raised an eyebrow, feeling achieved that his plan had been successful. Activating Aera, wings formed and he floated up a few feet above Lauretta.

HEY!”, Lauretta yelled, “What the hell is your problem??!” Her brows furrowed and she became angered at the way Tomas had been treated. Her arm came up and a finger promptly came up and pointed out that Abigail was being a bitch. Her other hand on her waist and her stance screamed 'bring it on.’ It was on.

You coulda returned his greeting!” Her tone now rude and demanding an answer.

"EVERYONE SHUT UP!" Arvin suddenly shouted while chucking and embedding a lamp post between the two. "I'm sleeping dammit!" He continued.

Etheria was surprised that Arvin suddenly woke up.

Nidelia then turned away from Liberty and walked over to Lauretta and attempted to place a hand on her arm. "Lauretta stop, no fighting in the guild hall, just let her go," she said, then turned and faced Abigail.

"And hurry up and leave, if you're going to, Ez and I will make sure you know what the job is Abigail," she says simply as she maneuvered herself between the two wizards. She'd simply wrap them up in water balls if either of them tried anything.

The last thing the guild needed was a fight in the guildhall, it always caused issues. Not to mention damages to the guild hall which usually came out of the fighting wizards' pockets. In which case whoever had done the fighting had always complained they didn't have money. Nothing pissed her off more than idiots.

Kai returned, having finished the mission with almost no trouble. It had been much simpler than he had anticipated and Kai was very proud of his achievement. Despite this he was currently covered in a green slime and had a few cuts and bruises on his body. The other major change was that Jormungandr had grown quite a bit in size. The earth serpent was now about the same size as Kai and had taken a more defined shape, mimicking the shape of a very large anaconda. Noticing Abigail on the side of the building Kai smiled a bit and wiped some slime off his face. "Hello again, is there anywhere nearby where I can get cleaned off? I didn't anticipate large worms being filled with so much green goop and now I'm just filthy." Even though he was in fact filthy and looked in no way comfortable Kai managed to let out a loud laugh before coughing hard. "Didn't expect to wear myself out so much though."

After a quick Yawn Kai held his hand up and a small magic circle formed pulling in the excess dirt and rocks that had made Jormungandr grow so big. Once the serpent was down to it's regular size he dropped the mass and it rolled downhill for a moment before stopping in it's tracks.

The woman to which he asked where he could find a job answered that they would all be receiving one soon, the Guild Master was making some sort of big announcement. After that, the woman stopped minding him. He got nervous. Whatever the guild master was saying, it was probably going to be important. He wondered how would the guild master look like. Whenever he thought about those words together he pictured an old man with a long beard, full of wiseness and a master of whatever kind of magic he practiced. He couldn't wait to actually meet one. Looking at his empty cup, Michael thought about asking for another drink, but he remembered he was out of money. It was better that whatever work that would be offered by the guild master would be well paid. He couldn't handle to be so short on gold anymore. Besides, it was about time for the "big adventures" everyone told him about to begin. Maybe they would go to a foreign desert to fight a giant desert-worm-monster, maybe they would go to an island to solve a problem with a moon spell. Hard to tell what was going to happen, but he was eager to know. He just wished that whatever it was, it would make his previous life look like an empty void of nothingness.
