Alice Maines

Alice flinched a little as Heza grabbed her, leading her a short distance away from the group. She tried not to make the struggle in her mind evident in her face, but the happy-go-lucky girl didn't let her speak. Alice swallowed down the anger of feeling manipulated and then rejoined the group, trying to clear her head.

What was this? Were they trying to arrange a time to gang up on her, or were they genuine? Why would they be genuine? Why would they be picking on me, specifically? Cause I didn't eat the damn protein bar? Fat chance. Did they see something in her they liked? Or worse, something they wanted to use? Alice sighed, frustrated. These weren't the type of girls she had thought she'd meet at a hero school. Did they even really want to be heroes? Alice didn't, but she didn't think that she and they were the same kind of girl. They were rich bitches, she was a delinquent, at least by blood.

Even after all the reasoning out, Alice wasn't any closer to figuring out what the girls wanted with her. Did she dare decline their invite? She didn't think so. That would DEFINITELY put her on their bad side, and she might not actually be on their bad side yet. She decided she'd have to go and just ride this thing out and then evaluate from there.

It made Alice nervous though. Navigating a social hierarchy was not her strong suit. Her whole life she had been a loner, almost entirely ignored by the social rulers. She didn't know how to deal with a manipulative bunch of bitches trying to mess with her. Still, she'd just have to go and see what they wanted.

When water started flying out of the toilet, Oliver freaked out. He dropped his granola bars and tried to cover his face. He started to run, but with his arms covering his eyes, he ran straight into the stall door and fell onto the wet floor. “Shit” he cried out. When Erica began banging on the stall, Oliver froze. He felt embarrassed since he had water all over himself, toilet water at that. Oliver thought to himself, at least I wasn’t peeing when that happened, then I would be socked in my own urine. Oliver felt a little better realizing what happened wasn’t the worst case scenario.

Oliver opened the stall door while looking down and quietly said. “I think the toilet isn’t working.”

Yep, that bitch is a wanker.

Yarra simply rolled her eyes when she pestered her about directions and crap. "Look, I appreciate the food and all but I really don't want to go to prison. Besides, the toilet isn't exactly a welcoming place to consume food.

"You know now that I think about it... why are you doing this?" She questioned. "I know your kind. The rich thick bastards who thinks daddy's credit card makes you better than everyone else, who only cares about themselves and rarely sees someone as an equal. Why are you helping us? especially since I know you don't like us when you just teased Jim and Alice. What's in it for you?"

SPLASH! Water sprayed all over the stall where Oliver went in. The student council banged on the poor boy's stall, forcing him to open and emerge all went. "I think the toilet isn't working." He quietly said.

Yarra couldn't help but burst out laughing, it felt very mean but the scene was just too hilarious to keep herself study. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it was just too perfect. Oh Olive, you never fail to crack me up. Here let me help."

Yarra grabbed a few tissues and walked to Oliver to help him get dry.

Her eyes drifted towards Heather watching her fly up to the ceiling and get caught by a scientist. As interesting as Victor wasn't Heather was the one that caught her attention. She has an absurd amount of trust in the male staff, that or they knew their place. Interesting. She smirked before her eyes glanced over to Branne. She spoke about the male and how different he was now. It's because he isn't compensating for as much anymore. Clearly. She took the compliment to her name in stride giving a smile as she listened to his explanation.

So he's a support class. I wonder if that makes him useless on his own. I wonder if full functions change his abilities... A few questions floated around her head about how his powers would be affected by his different states of mind, ability to have full mobility, and should something... tragically break how that would tie into it. Overall his powers weren't anything too grand, hell neither was hers but how it was applied was what matters most. Having someone who could boost her powers was potentially useful. Then again, given the nature of her powers anything he could do for her, she could do on her own. "I might have heard that name before. My parents are heroes too but my mother is inactive. I inherited powers closer to my father than my mother though." Portia wagged her finger before allowing her head to sink into her palm. "Ah ah ah~ Now if I told you that it'd take all the fun out of it. That'd be too easy." She gave a foxy grin that spread from cheek to cheek. "Sonic screech, that's a pretty decent guess but no. Why do you think that's my power?" It was a good guess but not precise enough to agree to it. She wasn't limited to something like that when her powers gave her more range. Portia wanted to see what else he could come up with on his own instead of giving all her tricks away at once.

Ever since the airport Katerina had stayed silent and under the radar, silently going through the motions. It was certainly making out for an interesting 2 days. She certainly wasn't a fan of this school but at least it could offer her potential "freedom". She wasn't trying to deal with any of the drama around here but it looked she couldn't stay silent for long.
The boy near her, Chris, was seemingly being ignored by most. While normally she wouldn't care she was feeling a bit of empathy toward the boy's situation. Approaching the boy she offered him a gentle look, at least as gentle as she could considering her RBF. While she had no clue what exactly was happening to him she tried to offer some consonance.
"Hey kid, are you okay? Is there something I can do to help you?" She asked quietly, as if she didn't want anyone else to hear. Even with the translator her Russian accent was thick and certainly not helping her actually sound caring.

Chris was awakened from zoning out when he heard someone talking to him. A blonde girl with a thick Russian accent. He blushed, a little embarrassed.

"Oh, I'm fine... I just-" Tic. His arm twitched and he slapped himself in the face by accident. He laughed nervously. "It's just Tourettes... It looks worse than it is." He was trying to hide the small amount of panic he was feeling about the injection, and then fact that his Tourettes was acting up in public... And that people were noticing... Tic. His head twitched, and his face screwed up in pain. "Aw, gee, that hurts." And now the scientist looking people were handing out bracelets that were probably metal. Maybe not, but that would be just his luck. He really wasn't feeling well.

I watched the whole presentation from the back of the room. It’s always amuses me how when encountering something new, people are always worried. Me? I wasn’t worried. Instead I waited to learn what we were doing here. It seemed like we were here to be tested on. I could try to help the others, try sympathizing with them, but what good would that do. They’d have to learn on their own. It’s not their fault that they don’t understand. It’s simply human nature. Unlike most people however I have been able to get past such distractions such as emotions. Most people would call this inhumane, but I call it transcendence. Those fools, stumbling around, EXPECTING PEOPLE TO SYMPAT-

ZAP

I glanced down at my arm and sure enough, it started to glitch, the molecules kept changing patterns. I remembered not to panick. I simply closed my eyes and remembered my training. I thought to myself these thoughts don’t have use. its not their fault. You are not above them. You are equal to them. Anger is a liability

As soon as I finished that last thought, my arm stabilized immediately. And just in time too, as it was my turn to put on the odd bracelets

I looked around good... no one saw the glitch I though as they put the bracelet on, which I’m guessing is either to monitor our powers, or to suppress them. I couldn't tell which one I wanted. I wondered if I tried to teleport, would it teleport with me?

I wondered how people didn’t notice me. Well no matter. It’s not like they are going to be any use to me while they are still dazed and confused. Once they become a little clearer they may serve some purposes...

Did he like it? "Woah yeah bro she looks..." Marquis paused for a moment, trying to find a word that would be moral to say to a 7 year old. "she looks like she could kick butt in that thing." Partially hoping that it would be his. As Kim explained all the mechanisms of the suit, the only thing that didn't go right over his head, was the idea that Erica fought hand-hand. Which was an achievement for him to put that together. "Ay, what a second, do I get a cool suit too?" He asked as the girl then started to push him out the door, though, his large form of solid muscle didn't move an inch till he took a step forward out the door.

After getting his answer, Marquis made his way over to the familiar group of students, and...someone falling from the second floor. "Hey bro, that one's...uh Feather right?" He whispered to himself, expecting only one person to answer.

"Heather, yes. Why do you ask, my boy?" Rodrigo replied carelessly. He was paying more attention to the surroundings, noting down every single hallway and room in the back of his mind. A hidden void of space that Marquis couldn't access. It was a place where certain memories were stored and chained to never see the light of day again.

Marquis shrugged, now coming closer to the group, "Eh, nothing...just trying to remember names." he quietly chuckled.

Rodrigo gave a scoff, and Marquis felt a large weight on his right shoulder. As if Rodrigo was putting him under his wing. "Do me a favor and stick to butt kissing one girl." The demon warned.

As if to shrug off the advice, Marquis chuckled, "Bro, I'm a lady's man Rodrigo. The lady's can't get enough of me." The arrogant rican replied. Rodrigo could only watch how this would play out, there was only so much patience he had with his host.

Soon enough, Marquis approached the group. His uniform was still ripped at the arms, but to him, it gave him the benefit to show of his biceps.

Marquis found himself confused, why'd everyone have cool sparkly bracelets? He wanted one instantly. As he had come from the back of the lab, a kid in a red jacket and mud-toned skin was the first individual he approached. "Yo bro?" He gave the guy a friendly nudge with the back of his forearm. "Where'd you get that cool scrap?" The Rican had an obvious hispanic accent, with different Puerto Rican gang signs upon his exposed arms. It was hard to believe he was 16 with a height of 5, 7, and with a slim mustache then stretched underneath his nose. Though his circular and sort of plump facial features hinted his youth.

The more people give him attention while his Tourettes was acting up, the worse it would be. Chris knew that, but he wasn't sure he could leave, and the slime boy, Alron, was paying attention to him now, as well as the blonde girl with the Russian accent.

It was hard to think clearly when he was ticcing every 10 seconds, but he just smiled broadly, as if everything was fine. But he way he scratched his neck nervously said he wasn't.

"I... I know nothing's wrong, but my Tourettes is freaking out, so I'm freaking out..." Tic. Chris slapped himself in the side of the face again, involuntarily. He sighed, peeved, and his eyes darted around nervously.

"Katerina," she replied bluntly. Now she was getting more attention than she had wanted. Hearing the sound of the boy slapping himself once again she looked back over at Chris. Quickly her hand shot out to grab his. While her grip was firm she was careful not to be to rough in grabbing him.
"Hey kid, do you need to get up away from everything? Take a deep breath?" She asked Chris. She studied his expression, seeing his frustration.

For a second, Chris studied the eyes of the girl, whose name he now knew was Katerina, who grabbed his arm, and then he nodded and closed his eyes. He wasn't sure if they'd be allowed to leave or anything, but Chris was definitely feeling too worked up. It was somewhat freeing to trust the girl to take care of his situation for a moment. Not that trying to restrain someone was the best way of dealing with the tics, but Chris didn't care since she was doing her best. Just focus on breathing, Chris.

His tics didn't usually give him anxiety, but there were a lot of unknowns in this school today, and they had taken his gloves. Whatever the shoes let in (which Chris didn't know either) could leak out his hands now at any point. Luckily, it wasn't likely to be a lethal amount, but there were no promises. He didn't know if the shiny bracelet was metal or not, which would make touching things far more dangerous...

"Careful." He managed, to Katerina. "My power is electricity... It leaks out in my tics and I don't want to hurt you."

Just breathe.

Felix watched Heather do her high-jump stunt, and couldn't help but notice Heather's confidence. Not just in the scientist, but herself. She could have caught herself, he was convinced. Her power could catch her. The specifics eluded him, however. It could be gravity manipulation, flight, invulnerability... There were a lot of ways her power could've saved her, and he couldn't pick out which it was. There was a bit of commotion about now, and it would've been a good time to talk to someone... But who?

Felix tried to look around, tried to find someone to talk to. Victor was talking to a pretty girl, so he was busy. Almost everyone had picked someone to talk to save Heather, and Felix wanted to avoid talking to her. Eventually he noticed a strange girl. Was she genespliced with a shark? She was trying to talk with Branne, but she wasn't paying attention. He could read the shark-girl's lips, knew she was talking about the bracelet. So, steeling his nerves, he went over.

"So you know as little about these as I do, then... I assumed they would limit our abilities but -Yawn- I'm not feeling anything. Except maybe a little tired... Er. Sorry, I think I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Felix. And you two are...?"

He said, suppressing the urge to yawn. Why WAS he tired? It kind of came from nowhere. He suspected the bracelet, but it showed no indication of anything. Maybe someone's powers were involved? Felix couldn't tell. But he was trying his best to stay awake.

It seemed that Heza wasn't responding. Well, he should probably turn off the pheromones before the wrong girl inhaled the mix and brought in some complications. With the size of the room, there was no way it hadn't been, but hopefully not enough to cause the sense of attraction in those caught in the crossfire.

As the group vacated the restroom, he nudged Yarra. "I've got a plan. With some luck, it won't go all to Hell," he whispered low enough that only he and Yarra could hear. With a wink, he adjusted his walking speed so they weren't so close. Can't piss off who you're trying to run a game on, after all.

Once at the lab, James adjusted his glasses while his bracelet was attached. It didn't seem like it would come off, but there were always ways around that. Especially for his abilities. It seemed everything had similar bracelets, albeit with slight differences in details, most likely to compensate for the students' abilities that could damage them. That was nice, it would make identification easier.

Wait, why was Victor's neck glowing? "You doin' alright over there?", he asked the boy as he approached.

Branne had somewhat zoned out as she waited, trying to process what had happened so far now that she had time to sit and think. Since arriving she'd been stabbed in the neck twice, once by the translator doohickey, and again for the injection. She'd been slung around until she puked on machines, and then a robot perved out on her and put something in her ears. Supposedly it would deal with her motion sickness, for a few days. He'd said a week but it would probably only last until the first time she was asked to demonstrate her abilities, if it worked at all. And now she was just waiting for the next weirdness.

Felix's question about the energy loss he was experiencing drew her out of her thoughts, soon followed by Margate's explanation that she drained energy like a black hole. Branne hadn't noticed anything like that, but perhaps it had to do with the interaction of their abilities? Turning into and back from fire was all about the control and efficiency of generating thermal energy. She didn't doubt Margate had been draining her, but it was possible that by the nature of her power, Branne was better at hanging onto her energy. It was also likely that, like Branne, Margate struggled to suppress her ability so she wouldn't hurt anyone.

"How does zat verk?", Branne asked the scaled giantess.

Before he could get a response from Portia, one of the people who came in late walked up to him, curious about this device in his neck.

"Oh this, well this was implemented my a lovely android doctor to allow me"-Victor stood from his chair-"to walk and stand without the use of a cane, of course, you would have known that if you were not late and had to be taken away to the office. I am surprised none of you had been expelled in consideration of the student council's threat yesterday. A shame, since it will nice to have that drunkard girl to be expelled, that other idiot boy being expelled would have been nice too."

Victor gave him a smirk before sitting back down. "I doubt you will be lasting within this school for too long, you may as well resign. This is a school for real superheroes, not lazy meeks."

Some of the scientists did a last minute check on the bracelets before lining the students up to leave. Heather was looking at her reflection in the glass of some tube making sure nothing was out of place. As she Started to lead everyone out the lab a class was heading in. Lexi was amongst them, along with Lisa and lisa. Lexi gave a small smirk to Victor seeing him walking correctly, hopefully that would take his mind off of his red suit he was so worried about earlier. She also looked over at James happy to see he was not expelled. He held up his wrist showing off her bracelet as a silent gesture to say you are now one of us. The other class said nothing to Heather out of fear, lisa did try to give a friendly wave to her old classmate but Lisa grabbed her hand and pulled her away. Lisa smiled at Portia before heading upstairs. Once outside the lab Heather shook her wrist and 316 popped in her ear. She wanted to know if any was expelled. She muttered under her breath as 316 confirmed that the whole group was back together. They walked down the hall for a little bit, besides the other class no one was around. This was a low traffic area, the lab held two, maybe three classes at a time. The only place around here was the chapel, which no one used. Heather turned to address the group, she did not seem happy about the trouble makers making a return but there was nothing she could do about that now. “So you all made it back…” She scoffed and flipped her braid dramatically over to the other shoulder, a tell tell sign she was about to do something mean. “You might have been able to convince the assistant headmaster that you aren't completely useless, but I’m a lot harder to impress.” She turned her attention to the entire group There are roughly 300 students that attend The Academy for Inspiring Heros it can house up to 800. Out of the 300 that attend this school on average 80 of them will make it to elite. Elites are the only ones eligible to graduate.” She squinted her eyes as she judged the group. “Odds are only three of you will make it to elite'' She looked at Portia and Margate as she spoke. “I doubt any of you will graduate.” She turned and started walking down the hall beginning the tour. “You were already at the lab, they don’t like to waste their time on useless people so I doubt any of you will get the chance to develop your powers. The transport chairs are what they are called if you don’t get it then oh well.” They passed by a door that was slightly open but the inside was too dark to make anything out. Heather said nothing about the door and even sped up when passing by it. Of course everyone started to question what was behind the door which made her pause. She angrily turned around telling everyone to shut up. “What about I don’t like you can not get it through your heads? What part of don’t talk to me do you all not seem to get. If I wanted to tell you what’s behind the door I would. I can let you all finish your pathetic little days here without a scratch. I can keep you here and make you wish you were never born. I can have them toss you out of this school so fast your mommys and daddys disown you. Some of you can’t even get dressed on time while the rest are idiots.” She then turned her rage at Margate. “And you, what are you even doing here. You think if you wear a mask and cape everyone will love you? That maybe people can look past the freak of nature that you are and see something good. Ogres don’t get happy endings freaks. You and the rest of these trolls will get chewed up and spit out like what your mothers should have done to you all.”

“And you would know all about spitting wouldn’t you Heather.” A deep husky voice spoke out from the shadows. River came into view as he walked out from behind the door. He paid no attention to the group focusing his gaze on Heather who tensed up. “Giving a tour Heather.” His tone was teasing but still held some darkness as he got closer to Heather walking behind her.
“Go away River.” Heather clinched her fist it was unclear if she was angry or scared. River gave a chuckle in response to her dismissal and shifted his gaze to the group. “You all are in luck, not many people get to get a tour from a legend." He placed his hands on Heathers shoulders. “Did you guys know that Heather here has a record of becoming the fastest student to upgrade to elite…”
“Go...away...River.”
River ignored Heather and continued to address the group. “Two months, not many people can pull that off. And then on top of that she became vice president of the student council. Now I bet you are wondering how she did it.”

“River I’m fucking warning you.”

“Well you see being a total bitch is not the only thing Heather is good at. She spends most of her time on her knees then she spends off of them. She probably could have made it to president, but I hear the assistant headmaster is not into brunettes.” Heather slapped his hands away and stormed off, no longer caring about the group or the tour. Everyone was now left with River who laughed as Heather walked down out of view. River turned back to the group with an impish smile “So…let’s get to it shall we.”

River wasn’t planning on giving the tour, in fact he wanted to hide out in the chapel and escape class. Maybe convince Abdu to let him sleep in the training hall, but this was also a good excuse. He wasn’t too sure if the group would follow him and turned his head calling out to any stragglers. “Don’t make me chase after you.” River was quiet and did not display the same aggression as Heather, but still seemed just as unapproachable. Something about him was dangerous, the same way fire was dangerous. Fun to be around, just don’t get too close. Things started to seem more normal as students and teachers were spotted here and there. Most people were in class and the group could catch small glimpses of lectures going on. River passed by the transport chairs choosing to not use them, wanting to waste more time. He led everyone to the second floor and scanned his bracelet on the scanner to one of the doors. When nothing happened he let out a sigh and gave a light kick to the center of the door and it slid open. They walked into the examination room. It had a white interior with a few couches and a large viewing window. “This little gents is the training room.” If they looked out the window they would see a class was in session. There was one figure whose details could not be recognized because her body was vibrating. She was being chased by a laser shooting robot. She seemed to be able to affect the ground because the machine tried to chase after her and fell down as if it lost balance. When it did a boy jumped down and slashed the robot to pieces. The girl stopped vibrating and her identity was revealed as the girl from the bus. She gave a high five to the boy with claws and he matched her enthusiasm, but rolled his eyes when he turned his back. River walked back outside and led the group to the third floor. Most of the stuff seemed to involve teachers but he did show them a cafe, tell them it was open during roaming hours. “Roaming hours is the time when class ends and dinner hasn’t started yet. You don’t have to go to dinner, not everyone does.” River listened to the group's questions and seemed uninterested but replied anyway “most everything is run by robots, but we have human staff too.” The group was then led back down to the first floors. Some of the staff seemed to be a little confused but did not question why the most problematic student was leading a tour. Another counselor bot passed by the students, it wasn’t clear if she was the same ones some of the students ran into before. “The library, Taylor is in charge of this place. She is big on hippie shit. It gets annoying but you get used to it.” A little ding sounded in everyone's ear. It was an indication for lunch. Their bracelets glowed a slight green and 316 talked to the students all at once. “Head to lunch.” River looked over to the group. “Well it’s been fun little gents” River left the group no longer needing them to avoid class. He was soon lost in a crowd as students left their class and flooded into the cafeteria. The first thing that new arrivals could notice about the active cafeteria was the noise level. It was not completely quiet but people seemed to speak in hushed tones, or low voices. There was laughing and conversation like any other place but everyone seemed to be mindful of their volume levels. The school population was also something that contrasted the large school. There was a lunch line but the newbies were instructed it wasn’t for them. For everyone else there were six order stations that students lined up at. People lined up clicking on three of the choices then waited for their tray to spit out then taking a seat. The seating arrangement seemed selective, groups were clearly forged and tensions seemed high when one group sat too close to the other. Due to the small population of the school there was plenty of open space.

His gaze followed Keethan's finger as he spoke, and eventually, his eyes landed on Miller. Marquis remembered her, "Oh, that chic who stuck a stick through my throat." He said sarcastically. His jaw clenched immediately afterwards as if he could still feel it. He was most likely being over-dramatic about it, but even if he was, his impression of her didn't really alter his intention of getting his hands on the cool piece of jewelry. "Well, no harm no foul heh." Marquis joked as he took a step forward, though as soon as it touched the ground, it immediately slid backwards. As if something was involuntarily pulling him back, and really, there was.

"No..." Marquis heard the demon state. "You go nowhere near that woman Marquis." Rodrigo could sense the amount of suspension that grew within his host as he froze, and quickly decided to add, "you don't even know what they do my boy. Don't be so quick to trust this place." He explained. Marquis clicked his tongue, he did have a point.

From the outside, it seemed a little odd, though it looked more like the young Rican just had a change of thought. Turning on a heel, he craned his neck and pointed a lazy finger toward the bracelet. "Y'know dawg..what exactly does it, do." Thinking back to the amount of advanced tech that was in Kim's office, who knew what was I these things. "Does it feel weird? You feel like something's traveling up your bloodstream and connecting to your brain? Or y'know bro..." A light shrug. "Somethin like that..."

Soon enough, it seemed like they were moving on, and as he turned Marquis crossed his arms and listened. Rodrigo would've told him to hide the fact he didn't have a bracelet, just to see what happens; but it seemed the dumb jock was already doing so. As his hands were tucked inside his arms, his wrist was just barely visible, but it as if he already had one on.

When the tour continued, Marquis decided to follow with Keethan. He had nowhere else to go, and Portia seemed to be busy, so that ruled out her. "So my guy," Marquis asked, a docile grin stretched across his face. "Why you all the way in the back dawg. Shy much?" A small attempt to break the ice between them.

James chuckled a bit at Victor's response. "How about a bet, then? The American versus the Brit. If I make it till Christmas, you owe me a solid. If I don't, I owe you the same. Sound fair?" He smiled with that last bit, "Of course, if you think you can't win, you can always refuse."

He waited for Victor's response as his bracelet was checked, knowing that whatever the result, it would be fun. If Victor took the bet... they say competition speeds improvement. But if he didn't, then Victor would have essentially admitted he was full of piss and wind, and that could be used later. Gotta gather all the resources you can in the early game, after all.

James was mostly ignoring Heather during the tour. He was paying attention to his surroundings in order to build his mental map, but tuned out during Heather's insult tirades. The trope was familiar, the dog that was always barking was usually trying to either seem more vicious than it actually was, or to hide something.

The new face, River, revealed it was the latter. I knew something was up!, he whooped internally, Weakest dog barks the loudest! Yeah! Wait, that's a bad thing, if that's how you get to the top... shit.

"Okay, dude that was awesome, but that was cold."

He smiled at Lexi when she reappeared. Now that he wasn't drop dead tired and had his glasses on, and the initial weirdness of Lexi had worn off, he was able to take in more detail. Most notably, the scratches and bruises on her face. How'd that happen? Injuries happened, but why the face? He'd have to ask her when he saw her again. Those bruises were at least a couple days old, with all the sci-fi tech in the building surely they had something to speed injury recovery, so why was she so banged up?

Once at the cafeteria and directed to the order kiosks, James opted for the protein-based meal. If he had to live on a vegan diet he'd starve before the year was out. Looking around, the number of cliques relative to the number of tables seemed... off. Half the cafeteria was empty.

He saw some familiar faces in the crowd. The Trio, with the ditz he needed to work on, but after the revelation that Heather got to the top by being a bottom, he doubted he could work his way in there. River seemed to have an entire table to himself, which, whatever. Kids who sat alone usually wanted to be alone, at least in Jim's experience. Princeton and his crew seemed reasonable on first impression, but then again did he really want to talk to that dude? Not really. He did however see open spots next to Lexi and the Lisas, the former of which he had questions for and as a group they seemed friendly enough.

"Hey, cat," James said to Lexi, giving her companions a wave. "You mind?" He didn't quite wait for an answer before sitting down, barely long enough that he could say he'd waited at all. "I gotta ask, what happened?" He made a general motion over his face, "Don't tell me you fell, I've swan-dived off a three story building, a fall doesn't leave those marks." He hoped he didn't sound pushy.

Wait, Heather did what? No wonder she was such a bitch! Branne felt a little better about herself, now. Perhaps she was already close to Heather's level, Heather simply warmed more beds. Still, how was that legal?

At least River seemed a bit more forthcoming when it came to information. Or at least when it amused him. Perhaps she could get more out of him? Before she had a chance to ask, however, it was time to go to lunch. The growl in her stomach reminded her that she hadn't eaten anything today, and the water she'd drank didn't make it ten minutes before it came back up. At least River opted against the chairs. Ear drops or no, Branne wasn't riding if she could avoid it.

The lunch options were limited, but it made sense to a certain degree. It was a school, after all. Much like James, she chose the protein based option. Caloric fuel was an issue with her, and she doubted she could get enough from the vegan meal. For the same reason weight loss was also out of the question.

"Iz somevun zitting here?", she asked River as she took a seat diagonally across from him. If he wanted her to leave, she would, but the way she saw it, she didn't like Heather and her cohorts, Heather didn't like River, and River seemed willing to discuss what was going on. Worst case scenario he was silent.

Felix took a moment to think through the haze in his brain, but then Margate's potential hit him like the massive machines used for his mother's AEGIS system. She drained energy from things around her. The light overhead was almost imperceptibly dimmer. And just before he realized this, he'd been incredibly tired. Now, as her ability and its implications hit him, his mind raced to calculate what it could do if he got involved. If this was her at full power, he could boost her range and power to maybe knock out a small room. But if she was holding ANYTHING back, things changed. How quickly would she drain things? How far would her range extend? How long could he stay awake and keep her boosted? The possibilities consumed him, and his heart beat faster. He'd always considered himself a minor superweapon. If anyone managed to use him, they could make their powers godlike. But with Margate, he had no idea. Would it kill people? Would he knock out everyone in the school? on the continent? In the world? He didn't know, couldn't know. It was like holding the keys to an atom bomb; His excitement at the possibilities matched his terror. He barely even registered Branne asking how it worked. Still, Margate's last comment was more pressing.

"Well. I sort of know what it's like to have an inconvenient power. Sort of."

Felix wanted to talk to her more, but then Heather intervened. The Bitch. Felix wanted to slap her upside the head, at the absolute minimum. And that was BEFORE she tore down Margate. There was a subtle shimmer around his fists for a moment, before River showed up. In addition to shattering any illusion that Heather was a respectable authority figure, he also got her to leave. Felix's relief was palpable. He hadn't been that angry since he'd been taken captive by the 'Lord of Nightmare'. That was, perhaps, one of three times no-one else had to come to his rescue. Really, the heroes saved that guy from him. In any case, Felix had been thrown so far off mental course that when he snapped back to the moment, they were watching other students train. He'd lost Margate in the crowd, and no longer had a chance to reassure the poor girl. The back of his mind made some notes about the capabilities of the training automatons but he was still concerned about Margate. He found his chance when they hit the cafeteria.

"I hope you didn't pay attention to what Heather said. You're no Ogre, and even if they expel you, that doesn't mean you can't find a happy ending... You can sit with me, if you like. I think I'll be joining them."

He said, pointing to Lexi. They looked a bit better today, but Felix had to be sure. So the second he picked his meal (The Protein meal seemed like the most prudent option) and had the tray in hand, he sat across from the poor... Girl? It was undoubtedly the same person, but he didn't notice their shapeliness before. Felix tried to ignore it as he spoke.

"Lexi, right? Feeling any better after last night?... Wait. I didn't introduce myself, did I?... I didn't. I'm Felix."

He said, extending a hand to shake, totally unaware that he'd chosen a seat at a table that was, traditionally, for seniors...

“umm... honestly I'm not sure how it works” Margate admitted with a shrug. felix making a comment about how his own powers where inconvenient margate smiling at him "yeah, although try living with a whole family of people with painfully inconvenient abilities" she said with a bit of a chuckle

Heather lead them out to the front of somewhere before going off on a tirade of insults although the one complement within that seemed to be directed towards herself and Portia Margate giving a slight smile and nod. It was only after heather was done ripping everyone a new one over there perceived incompetence did heather turn her rage towards Margate... and going for the easiest option to insult her appearance... honestly it just disappointed Margate more than anything. ogre? She hardly even looked like one even if heather did come up with something good Margate probably would have found it amusing. she knew she was a freak and if anything Margate was proud of it... sometimes.

it was then when another guy showed up apparently called rive. she couldn’t put her finger on it but there was some odd about him aside from his appearance that kinda reminded Margate of herself, she was amused to see heather be put in her place though on a slight smile forming leaving the rest of the tour to tour river fellow gave them the rest of the tour proving Margate correct about the bracelets being able to open doors least he was more open to explaining stuff then heather.

eventually, the tour was over and they were all instructed to go get something to eat river disappearing into the crowed “bye” Margate responded before she and the rest of the group were filed back into the lunch hall and instructed to pick one of the three options Margate almost instantaneous deciding on the protein meal as it looked like the easiest to eat. While Margate would normally have just sat by herself and stuck out like a sore thumb the boy from earlier Felix approached her again. she could help but grin from ear to ear bearing her shark-like teeth. Felix was actually worried about margate probably the first random person to ever intentionally approach her again. "yeah i don't worry about it been called much worse, and... thanks... a lot... even if I wasn't bothered by it means a lot that you were worried bout me oh and sure ill with you" she said cheerfully looking at where he pointed and then sitting right next to Felix giving a nod to Lexi "hi there"
”right I see then..l honestly I would worry too much about hurting me kinda hard to anyway..” alron said with a slight chuckle slithering away along with the rest of the group as heather pulled them away fore the rest of the tour, of course, the girl decided to attack everyone verbally again especially the giantess With something that didn’t make much sense.. beside alron really did like her look.. not every day you get to see a massive basically monster girl in real life. That was when another very very interesting person showed up basically socially murdering heather in front of the whole class... and looking amazing doing it. Alron couldn’t wait to use his powers and try out all these people he’d seen they'd probably look great on him. Regardless it seemed as if they were taking over the tour. At least it was informative enough to explain some things, avoid the hippie librarIan..and roaming hours ok arlon got that.

with the tour, over and that river fellow disappeared into the crowd leaving the rest of them to get lunch, as far as alron was concerned all the options where about equally as whatever, decided on the weight loss option because hey chicken, as he did before he simply slides the tray into his slimy form before looking for somewhere to ”sit” he gave a shrug deciding to go sit by himself and just watch someone is going to be curious about the slime thing eventually..

The fellow gave an interesting response. It was a proposition, a challenge in a way. If he does not make it till Christmas, he pays Victor but if he did, Victor had to pay him.

Victor simply laughed. "Oh, Jim right? you are a fool but I must admit, an entertaining one. I accept the challenge you stupid American since you wanted to bring race into it. Hell, if you win, I will pay twice as much of the bet because I know you would not even last a month. Sounds good?"

Heather had round them to move on for the tour, passing more areas of the school. As they walked, Lexi came up to him and gave him a smile. Victor smiled back since they were one of the few respectful people around here, but his smile faded when he saw the bruises in their face. Before he could ask them about it, they had already walked away. Victor hoped it was not bullying, bullying in a high academy were often extreme.

For some particular reason, Heather had a massive tantrum. They were rained with a series of blabbering and insults upon him. Victor took an issue when she insulted the tall grey woman's appearance. Sure she had unappealing look but insulting someone based on their appearance was a low blow, even for him. A figure came up who looked like trouble, revealing that Heather had...satisfied a man in order to get into her position. Victor was annoyed by the troublemaker, there was absolutely no need to bring this up during school time, it lacked professionalism.

By the time the unnecessarily detailed roast was finished, the boy seemed to take the role of the tour guide...odd, since he did not seem like a student council, not to mention staff members gave him stares, indicating that this was not common. As they walked, Victor began to feel curious about his claims. Did it hold any truth or was it nothing more than rubbish? He was curious and wanted to find out himself, but he doubted Heather was willing to tell him that she had intercourse with a staff member.

Once they got into the cafeteria, he was pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise and neatness of the place. He grabbed some food, opting to get the protein option. He looked over where his other classmates sat and realised that Alron was sitting all by himself. Idiot boy, do you not know that it makes you look like a target.

He joined the boy, saying hello before sitting down in front of him. Victor remembered his ability, he was composed of goo like material that he could effectively control, it made Victor realised that he was the perfect counterpart. A human weapon is no matched to a person who could not be damaged and easily apprehend them. Without his limited leg, Victor's training of simple meditation was no more and he wondered if training with Alron would improve his skills and movement.

"Alron right?" He said to him. "The training room looks promising. I am wondering if you would like to be my training partner, maybe spar once a week. You see your ability is a perfect foil against mine, I could form myself or my limbs into weapons. You do not have to of course, it was just an offer."

Yarra groaned loudly as Heather shouted insults towards them. She took great offence when she called the tall girl an ogre because she was clearly a shark girl and a hot one at that. Suddenly, a handsome steamy boy came out of a door and like a blessing from the heavens, verbally executed the bitch. Of course, she had sex with someone to get into her position, there's no other way she would have gotten it.

She was overjoyed when the steamy hunk took over touring them, she could not focused on what he was saying as she continued to look at his beautiful face. There was an odd presence about him, she did not know whether it was good or bad but she did know that he must be a freak in bed.

Within the cafeteria, Yarra opted for the protein option since the other two options were for those who want to unnecessarily starve themselves. She decided to seat with Jim he's the closest friend she had so far and he had said he had plans earlier.

"Hey, Jim...woah what happened that guy's face. He looked like he got kicked by a kangaroo." She said, noticing the bruises on the boy sitting down.

As Oliver followed Heather on the tour, he was impressed with how many rooms were in the school. Oliver hoped he wouldn’t get lost, but he knew he would. Heather seemed to be in a very foul mood, a nice thing about getting sent to the headmaster’s office is he could get away from her.

Then Oliver noticed something very strange, Victor was walking normal. Victor had a big limp the previously day. Oliver wasn’t aware that Victor had an operation, Oliver figured that Victor must have been faking the limp. Oliver got angry as he felt like he was being tricked and wanted to know why Victor would pretend to have a handicap.

In the cafeteria, Oliver chose the protein option as that seemed to have the most food. Looking around, Oliver wasn’t sure where to sit. He noticed Victor taking a seat, Oliver saw an opportunity, came over and sat next to Victor. “Hey Victor, what happened to your leg? You seem to be walking normal?”
