Crux pouted. It seemed like he was being ignored.


'You should just devour them all.'


'No.'


'But-'


'No.'


'Can you say anything other than no?'


'No.'


Finishing the mental conversation he was having with one of his other personalities, Crux noticed that there was, in fact, two snake people, as well as a third person.


'Must. Make. Friends!'


'Do you even know how to do that?'


'Uhhhh...no?'


Moving on from the snake boy that had ignored him, he turned to look at the snake girl.


"Uh, hello." He said, waving.

(Just sits in a corner and waits for mom and dad to stop fighting

Cordelia pursed her lips a bit as she looked from Alex to Orpheus.

"I live on an island on the edge of the dead sea..and I know how you feel. After living in huts all your life these buildings made of stone, cement and concrete. These buildings are much larger.."

When Cordelia once again heard another voice she felt like they were starting make a little group in this spot near the classroom. This boy though normal looking was..different looking to normal humans. He had metal on his face and it reminded her of the traditions the elders in her village carried on. Ones they had Cordelia also carry on with the full tattoo on her left side.​

[Verdas]

Orpheus sighs "At least you have a place to call home. You're like a princess who snuck out of her castle, oblivious to the thorns that will prick her as she runs and to the dragon that waits to ambush her when she thinks everything is fine." He says, with a hint of sadness then looks at the other boy "Ah... So you're the one that poked me earlier. I though you were but a mosquito." @MorticiansDaughter @Daimao

 

[Daimao]

"Uh, hello. I'm, uh...my name is, uh, Crux," Crux greeted the snake girl when she looked at him, fiddling with the chain that hung from his ear and lip.


'Do you not know how to speak with females?'


'Shut up, I've never spoken to girls before!'


'Albia is a part of us, and thusly doesn't count.''


'Shut up!'


"Um, what's your name?" He asked the girl.


Suddenly, the snake boy talked to him, saying something about Crux being a mosquito. It was then that Crux's eyes changed from their normal crimson color to a brilliant violet.


"I suggest that you do not insult Crux like that in the future," said a cold, female voice, before Crux's eyes returned to their normal color.


'Albia?'


'I won't allow anyone to insult little Crux.'


"And I'm not a mosquito, I'm a hydra," Crux said to the mean snake boy.

[The Darkling]

Cordelia felt like she was back home in a way. Having all these people around suddenly..and though she was the odd one out on physical features no one seemed to mind. A small smile creeped onto her face even with what Orpheus said.

"Princess? If anything id be more like queen Bathory.."

Her fangs glinted as she smirked and remembered the tale of the queen who bathed in blood to stay young. It was a dark tale but one she found interesting. She realized soon that to anyone other than Alex she had yet to introduce herself.

"Well..My names Cordelia..I seemed to have forgotten how to properly introduce myself"

She put her hand up in the same greeting she gave Alex to Orpheus and Crux. When they boys eyes changed she was startled to hear a female voice.

"A-are you um..ok there?"

A Hydra..she had yet to hear of one of those that was for sure.​

 

[Verdas]

"Ah, so you're a hydra! Fascinating. That would explain that female voice just now. It wasn't meant as an insult." Orpheus says, even more excited than before, seeming completely unfazed by the change of personality. "I'm glad there doesn't seem to be any dragons here." He says 'dragons' as if it were a curse or like it was some evil thing that would show up just at the mention and his eyes dilate slightly in the memory of the burning of his tree. @Daimao

 

[Daimao]

Crux looked at Cordelia.


"Well, you see, a hydra is like a giant snake that exhales poison and spits acid. They gain a new head every hundred years. I, Crux, am the sixth and youngest head, so the other five heads let me have control of our body until the next head is born. We all share the same body though, so sometimes stuff like that happens."


Crux then looked to Orpheus.


"It's okay, I don't really know what an insult is anyway. This is my first time talking to anyone other than the other heads."

[Verdas]

Orpheus smiled at Cordelia. "A fitting name for a beautiful snake such as you. I am Orpheus. You may simply address me by Fi if that is too difficult." He then turned back to Crux "I'd like to see more of you youngsters. Especially the oldest." @MorticiansDaughter @Daimao

 

[The Darkling]

Cordelia found that interesting.

"I can barely handle myself..I dont see how you manage to stay sane with five"

She chuckled and rubbed her arm gently. She was still getting used to normal interaction, the fact that while in the village she was basically an adult and was treated as such gave her no time to just relax and talk normally with others closer to her age.

When Orpheus gave her the compliment she wasnt sure how to react. She simply smiled and carried on the conversation with the group.

"I definitely dont feel left out then in the reptile side of things. Though now I simply need to work on making myself look more human so this..thing isnt getting in the way of things."

She motioned to her tail and coiled it around herself so it wasnt just strewn out in the hallway, blocking doorways.​

[Daimao]

Crux chuckled at Orpheus. "Alpharius is napping right now, but I feel like when he wakes up, he'll want to talk to you as well."


Crux then looked at Cordelia's tail.


"I don't understand what you find wrong with your tail. Legs are stupid. They don't have as wide a range of movement as a tail, and they aren't as useful. Besides, you have a pretty tail. Mine is covered in black scales. Yours is much prettier."

Orpheus smirked when Cordelia mentioned her lower, snake-like part part of her body. "You really need to get used to using legs. They're really useful." He says, pointing at his legs. "Shapeshifters have it easy compared to us..." @MorticiansDaughter

Cordelia listed the tip of her tail up so she could hold it. She looked at her scales and tilted her head.

"As ive said..I dont mind it. Its the body I was born with, I simply try to hide it so humans will look at me with less..shall we say fear, in their eyes. Im sure one of yo understand that one way or another."

She looked at Crux and smiled.

"Im sure you have a wonderful tail..we are all unique in our own ways. Though Orpheus is right when it comes to them being handy at times. Especially here in the city. I must say ive hurt myself a couple times trying to get around with it out. People stepping on me..sliding over broken glass. Im sure ill have a few battle wounds by the time im done here"​

"The world is cruel. You have a beautiful and unique tail and simply because of that the world makes it hard for you to use it." Orpheus says to Cordelia. "Crux... By the time you get the seventh head, you'll be like the seven deadly sins on legs." He quickly adds in "It's a joke. Don't take it seriously." @MorticiansDaughter

 

[Daimao]

Crux looked at Cordelia curiously.


"If moving with your tail causes trouble, why don't you just have someone carry you like a princess?" He asked, before chuckling at Orpheus's joke.


"It's funny, because Xin, the fourth head, said the same exact thing."

Kai walks out the bathroom walking to his class as he has sweat go down his face. His head seemed to be better as he continues to walk to his class. Kai's eyes seem blank as he walked down the hall.

Cordelia couldnt help but laugh at the idea.

"My my..these comments about being a princess again..I can guarantee i am the farthest from that title. And besides..id like to see someone try to carry me in this form. Im pretty sure the weight and length would be trouble for whomever chose to try"

She released her tail and let it coil up around her once more. She looked ahead of her at another person in the hallway. Though this boy seemed a little out of it, in fact a little stand offish as well. She squinted a bit while looking at him and put her fingers to her cheek.

"That boy doesnt seem well.."​

Orpheus chuckled "I'm sure that I'm strong enough to lift you girl up. If I couldn't, I'd be ashamed as a male." He looked at the boy walking in the hall. "We seem to be having a party in this hall. Though this place is mostly a den for snakes by now." He joked. @MorticiansDaughter @Kai123

Kai holds on to his head as he uses the wall to walk. " What's happening to me..?!" He says looking at the walls as they seem to be shooting fire. The fire he see's are only hallucinations, the dark magic within him tries to take over. Kai tries to snap out of it as his magic wavelength is mixed up and he begins to feel weak. @MorticiansDaughter

 

[Daimao]

At Cordelia's comment on her weight, Crux smiled. Are you heavier than a plane? I had to lift one of those once. It was soooooo big," he said, before noticing the person walking down the hall. Trotting up to the boy, he poked him in the ribs. "Hey, are you okay?"

Kai looked up at the man who poked me the hallucination began to stop. " W-who are you..?" He says in fear and with a miss guided face. He looks around has he rubs his forehead from what he just experienced.

Cordelia frowned as she looked on at the boy down the hall.

"No no..this is not right."

Even with everyone trying to make light jokes she couldnt smile at this moment. Seeing someone in need was always the first thing that worried her, so she followed Crux over to the boy.

"Wait Crux..you dont know what could be wrong. You need to be wary in situations like this."

She reached out and gently touched Crux's shoulder, standing next to him now as she looked on at the boy.

"Are you alright? You seem to be in pain..is there anything I can do to help?"​

Kai stood on his two feet using the wall to help as he looks at them both, trying to seem cool and not look weak. " N-no I'm fine." He says with a slight stutter and unsure tone in his voice. The dark magic within him began to calm down letting Kai control it once more. @MorticiansDaughter @Verdas @Daimao

(Ugh sorry, my wifi crashed and just was able to fix it )


Alex didn't seem to be listening into the conversation of the reptilian people, he was just staring up at the sun... like a complete weirdo. Staring at the sun didn't seem to affect him, his stare did not fault, there was no blinking of the guy. It was as if he was a zombie of some sort, in realinty though he was having a conversation with his father though, a more private one at that.

Alex didn't seem to be listening into the conversation of the reptilian people, he was just staring up at the sun... like a complete weirdo. Staring at the sun didn't seem to affect him, his stare did not fault, there was no blinking of the guy. It was as if he was a zombie of some sort, in realinty though he was having a conversation with his father though, a more private one at that.

Cordelia looked at the boy with a frown.

"If you say so..but I can help you if you need it. I can heal many wounds..just let me know if you need anything"

She looked him over once more with her bright yellow eyes then gave him a little space. But the damned tail was getting in the way of trying to move around. So when she distanced herself a bit she focused her energy into hiding her tail in human legs once more. And though it took a couple moments her tail slowly started to shrink away, once it got close to her body she lost her balance and found herself leaning against a wall. Her legs soon formed, the same blue tone as the rest of her. She pulled her dress down to cover her body and sighed, with shaky legs she slowly slid up the wall to regain her composure. The only other thing about being this normal height again was that her almost touched the floor.​
