I have acquired the necessary books and will be working on my character this weekend. Still leaning towards an Archer, probably Day Caste although I am still working out the character themselves. I am open to any suggestions or character ideas, particularly if they interact with your characters. Also, are there any cool artifact bows I should look to get?
There is a particularly nasty one called the Time String Bow in the Infernals book. It lets you fire arrows that vanish in time only to reappear sometime at random during the next seven days, as decided by the Storyteller.

It could be while the target is in the bath, or taking a crap or just walking along down the street. Unless they have Charms to detect a random attack, their DV is zero to it. I'll look it up for the details once I get home after work

That bow is a nasty one. I vaguely remember seeing it before. It makes for a great assassination weapon.

I see that you don't have any combat Abilities selected. While that is fine, you may want to put at least a few dots (and maybe an Excellency) in being able to dish out some damage or when there is a combat scene, you won't be able to participate very well.
Plan is to use Performance in combat. Spooky ghost attack!

That Time String Bow is Artifact 4, and it gives the following other bonuses: speed 5, accuracy +1, damage +3L, rate 3, range 350, attune 8.

You can fire and suspend up to (Essence) arrows in time to hit sometime in the next five days. These arrows cannot be boosted by Charms, but they are Unexpected by the target so it is unlikely that they will be able to defend against the attacks.

Edit: forgot to add that it takes one Willpower to activate the time bonus.

Psychie Psychie Is maintaining Withering Phantasmagoria a miscellanous action?
Also, for the purposes of my artifact, how many mutation points do I need for the Wings-abomimation?

I am thinking so, but not 100% sure. Let me check the Charm and I will hopefully have an answer in the morning.

The wings are six points for the artifact

Neat, I'll bump artifact down to 3 and bump followers up to the same level. Will allow me to get some guards for my manse.

Psychie Psychie Before we get started, I am thinking of dropping a few of my melee Charms to get some diversity going on. Is that going to be ok?

Spreading yourself out a touch is never a bad thing, so long as you are careful not to be too much of a generalist.

Not sure yet. Maybe some Presence Charms, and Graceful Crane Stance

Ok. That shouldn't be a problem. Let me know when you are done and I'll look over your changes.

Yeah, I'm gonna fiddle as well, the character posted is still WIP. However will scream loudly here at Psychie if I make any major changes. Trying to find room in the BP budget for a few more charms, but it's hard :/

Also need to actually write the edgy background!

Hopefully it won't take too much longer to get characters up and ready to start the IC thread going.

So, I've been reading the manse creation rules in Oadenols', and man there is some awesome stuff in there. I have a few questions first that I need answered.

Firstly, I'm considering bumping Manse up to 5 (somehow) to get more creation points, probably be reducing Followers again. With the extra creation points I'd be able to get a Manse that can effectively defend itself better than a handful of guards can defend it. Is it 'weird' to start with a 5 dot Manse? Would this paint a giant target on my character's back?
Secondly, for clarity's sake, if I have an abyssal manse located in Shadowlands, it won't give me any extra motes while in creation? There are a lot of really thematic powers tied to Abyssal only that makes a ton of sense for my character, so I'm may go with an abyssal manse either way.
Thirdly, as a follow up on the previous point, I really like the Stone of Inhuman Beauty. It's a solar hearthstone, if I go with an Abyssal Manse would it be okay to have a stone with the same powers? Only it's sexy goth beauty rather than glorious solar beauty.
Fourthly (last one!), it is my understanding that ancestor cults feed worship up the ghost-chain and eventually all the sweet prayer-juice gets slurped up by the Neverborn. Do the deathlords factor in to this? I want to have a temple manse, could that be dedicated to Delivered of Dark Dreams and Nightmares or the Neverborn? If my character can lead worship directed at our Deathlord, with my character being seen as a sort of (un)living saint (thus Cult 2), that would be nifty! I may try to bump Liege up to 4 then, with all the drawbacks that entails.

I do not have the underworld book, is there some sort of underworld raven my character could get as a familiar. I like the idea of the raven’s voice being something her enemies hear when she comes to “bring them to blessed death” as several arrows slam into their body.

Also is anyone taking Leige 5? I have my Day Caste’s backstory and I am considering taking Leige 5 for her.

Yeah I know, it's all sibling finger pointing "NO I WANT TO BE HER FAVORITE!!!" "SHE LOVES ME BETTER THAN YOU ALL!" 🤣

Aww man, there's already a Deathlord that is called the Bodhisattva Anointed By Dark Water. Need to find another religious title to base my character's name of.

It's not really weird to have a five dot manse at start-up, just unusual. Having it as a temple dedicated to the Neverborn and the Deliverer will help you justify your character being allowed to keep it.

Any Underworld manse will only work there or in a Shadowland. But you can have an Abyssal-aspect manse in Creation that can provide motes to you in both locations.

Sherwood had already asked about a similar effect for his martial artist character with the Infinite Resplendence Amulet. It is ok to have a dark beauty style stone from an Abyssal manse.

I will say that your idea of being the Deliverer's High Priest of a dark cult dedicated to death and the Underworld is fine. It would give some justification of why you have the high-dot manse and a high level of Liege.
