Salem

He glanced back at her and with a wrinkled nose. "Ha, no thanks I don't need another basket case to take care of." He retorted, "And you..." He said looking to the mouse. "How am I suppose to keep an eye on you while I'm busy saving my dog?" He asked before following the scent to his friend. Despite the comments, Salem was pretty sure the others would follow, they seemed like the stubborn type, but if they didn't...well Salem worked better alone.

Django

He noticed the large white mound of fur with a odd looking bird seated atop it. "And I'm guessing they aren't apart of your group either." He said, pushing his ears back at the sound of the parrot's loud voice.

Nemesis

Nemesis turned her head, "I would pick you up, to help you keep up, but I would be tempted to eat you. To tell the truth." She said. She turned her attention on Salem, again, "Well, I'm coming weather you like it or not." She said with a huff.

Shadow

Shadow calmed down, and walked closer, he sniffed Falkor, and then Phoenix. He backed away, and sat down. "I'm sorry." He said. "I'm new to living on my own, well. . .if you don't count the cats. Anyway, my name's Shadow." He said.

Ashes~

"Sure!" i said happily and darted after it. then i had a sudden thought, my legs are much longer than muffins. i looked back and she was a ways behind me. 'I know, I'll chase it towards her' I thought and darted after it again. I got to it and tried to herd it back to where muffin was

"Hi Shadow." Falkor said pleasantly. Phoenix didn't say a word, he was the introverted, cold, intelligent parrot he'd always wanted to be seen as, which contributed to his abandonment. When he didn't talk or interact, his owners threw him out. Falkor felt sorry for the parrot.

"My companion, Phoenix, changes moods a lot, and can be quite annoying," A quick, sharp nip on the nose accompanied that comment. "But he'd appreciate not being eaten."

Falkor noticed a lean, agile-looking dog watch them. Being the friendly mound of fur he is, he excused himself and set off to meet the dog.

"Annoying?" Phoenix growled.

"You are, Phoenix, you really are." Falkor stated. Finally, they reached the dog. "Hi, I'm Falkor, and my feathered companion is Phoenix. And you are?"

"Well, if you're going," Algernon said to Nemesis, "then I may as well, too. And I think I can handle keeping up with you guys; I'm pretty fast, and I don't tire easily." He ran to catch up with them as he spoke.

Salem

He let out a sigh, slowing down a bit for the rodent to be able to catch up. "Fine, but if you guys get mixed up in something I'm not gonna bail ya out."

Django

The hound straightened up as the two pair approached him. "Hello, I'm Django." His eyes were mainly focused on the parrot, it seemed a little jumpy and unpredictable. It vaguely reminded him of the young human boy whom he stayed with.

Muffin

Muffin ran over to the butterfly, though she was a little slow. Kittens had pretty short legs to begin with, but when you're a munchkin kit, it's hard to keep up. She jumped up, and tried to swat the butterfly, but she missed.

"That's fine by me," Algernon said. "And I don't mean to be a burden. If you see me lagging behind, don't bother slowing down. I'll catch up eventually."

Nemesis

Nemesis grinned, "Don't make me laugh." She said to Salem. "I've fought a dog, single pawed. I think I can handle myself."

Lily

Lily, and Django were aproached by a dog, and a parrot. "Um, hi." She said. She figured they hadn't noticed her.
((I have to go again. I will be back!))

Eltrut marveled at the tall trees that stretched up into the sky. He had never seen so many trees before in his life; though, of course, his life had only started a month ago. Still, however, the forest was truly captivating, and though he knew that it was generally no place for a young turtle such as himself, Eltrut could not resist the temptation to enter the thick foliage and call this place home.

Falkor noticed Django's gaze. "My companion, is, ah, a little bi-polar. Ignore him, he can't do much harm."

A cat starts a conversation with him. "Hi, I'm Falkor, my eerily quiet companion up top is Phoenix, and you are?"

Eltrut came across a bush that was thick with leaves. He crawled into the bush and lied down on the soft dirt, enjoying the shade the foliage provided. He only wished he had some friends to keep him company.

((I'm back! xD ))

Lily

"I'm Lily." She said. "It's nice to meet you." She looked up at the parrot, and tilted her head. "This bird is your friend, correct? So, I can't eat him?" She shook her head, clearing the idea out. "S-sorry." She said. "I'm a little hungry."

Nemesis

Nemesis tuck her nose o the ground, and took a deep breath. She lifted her head, "This idiot, smells similar to you, right?" She asked Salem.

((Lily climbed a tree, because she thought there was a mouse there, and then she climbed down. . .I'm sorry, I'm not good at explaining things! You'd be better off reading everything, I'm so sorry! T-T))

Shadow

Shadow walked over to the dog, and the parrot, who were talking to Lily. He needed to keep an eye on them, just in case.

Drake ran allllll over the place, searching for the source of the scent. It grew stronger and stronger, until he finally found it. "Founditfounditfoundit!" He cried out happily as he jumped around the object. Eventually calming down, he sniffed the plastic thing, sneezing as carbonated bubbles tickled and burned his nose. Shaking his head a little, he looked around the disturbed dirt and cinders that used to be a human campsite, although not his humans. "Awww... You guys are good!" Drake didn't stay down for long, and charged off in a new direction, which ended up being roughly back where he came from.

Bonnie watched as everyone dispersed from her tree. Several new animals appeared out of the woods. "I'm not the welcoming comity." She climbed back up her tree and lounged on a low branch, yawning big and cleaning herself off. Suddenly this place was so big and loud, and full of activity. She didn't particularly like that, but hey. This tree was her home. And she wasn't giving it up. She rested her head on the branch, watching the activity below.

Fang was trapped. He threw his weight against the door of his masters house, but it wouldn't give way. His humans hadn't returned, and he was getting desperately hungry. He'd already eaten all the dog food in the dog food bag (Curse my large appetite!) He needed to get out, find food and water! He threw his weight against the old oak door repeatedly, to no avail. It made a loud BANG! everytime he did. "HELLO?" He barked, pressing his nose to the crack under the door. "IS ANYBODY OUT THERE?"

Ashes~

i watched as muffin fell short of her prey and smiled "i have an idea" i said and ran over to where she sat. " hang on" i said as i stuck my nose under her and scooped her up. my eyes when cross when i tried to look at her sitting on my nose "whoa....." i breathed as the world changed perspective around me " you look funny"

Algernon noticed a strange-looking creature that looked very similar to a small, greenish pebble with limbs. The creature was entering a nearby bush. "Actually, on second thought," Algernon said to the felines, "you guys go ahead. I'm gonna go check something out real quick." He scampered off in the direction of the strange, green, moving rock.

Nemesis

Nemesis looked back at Algernon, "Okay." She said. She continued walking, and sniffed the ground one more time. "I think I smell. . .dogs." She said.

Muffin

Muffin wibbled back, and forth. It was hard to keep her balance on Ashes' nose. She slightly laughed, at what the fox had said, and the fact that he was slightly cross-eyed now. She swatted at the butterfly, and hit it, it fell to the ground. But, she lost her balance, and slipped off Ashes' nose. "Help!" She cried, as she began to fall.

Algernon approached the bush with caution, trying not to frighten the small creature. He wasn't used to see any animals that were smaller than him. "Hello?" he called into the bush in which the green creature disappeared.

A small, childlike voice replied: "Uh, hi? Is someone there?" The green, rocky creature slowly crawled out of the bush. "Oh, hi!" he said excitedly. "My name is Eltrut! Who are you?"

"RunningrunningrunningrunningrunningrunningrunningrunningrunningrunningrunningrunningCRASHING!" Headbutting a tree for the umpteenth time, Drake finally returned to the edge of the forest, just about where he entered. There were a lot of smells the last time he ran through here, doggies and kitties and... A bird? Well, he was in a forest after all, birds are bound to happen. Although Drake imagined a bird would be good eats.

Diablo laid in the shadows, watching a herd of deer wonder closer, Smidge was a was away and she was carefully hidden as well. A young buck wondered closer and closer from the herd, He was doomed. Not only was he soon to be exiled from the her due to his gender and age, But he was about to walk straight into Diablo's cruel jaws, He licked his maw hungrily and the deer glanced up, He tensed his muscles and sprang, The deer let out a wail of fear that echoed through the forest loudly. The young buck stumbled back and Diablo lunged at him, He rammed into the deer powerfully and the deer was knocked back, it scrambled helplessly, Smidge attacked a young fawn, Its mother wailed in fear, and the herd began to run. Diablo attached the young buck, latching his jaws behind the deer's neck, he began to thrash wildly, The deer's blood splattered across the forest floor as it screamed in pain. Diablo released the deer for a moment and it took off, he chased it, and bit onto its heel, it crashed to the ground hard and Diablo bit onto its throat tightly, He sank his fangs deep in the deer's soft throat, and its blood coated his paws, One the deer quit struggling, Diablo began to drag the kill back towards the shadows with his sister, so they could eat.

Smidge had mauled a young fawn, it wasn't newly born either, it was a new months most likely, She licked her blood maw and looked at her brother "
Nice catch." She praised, They had hunted this way before, and caught many deer, just not in this forest. She sat beside her brother, leaving the young deer for after, they always tasted better then the older deer, They were softer and tasted less... Tough. "You too." He smirked, She wasn't a great hunter, But she was decent. Smidge then knelt down, Her and her brother were well fed, But where definitely hungry, they ate s much as possible and usually came back to a kill multiple times to eat it fully, not letting any other animals take their kill that they had earned.

Diablo bit onto the deer's belly, One paw on the soft carcass and he tore a chunk out of the animal, He ate it quickly, and His sister joined him, they savagely ate the inside of the deer hungrily, The two large dogs ate a lot, and if they weren't satisfied they hunted until they were. The deer's blood covered their muzzles and paws, They soon came to a thick muscle, they both took one end of the muscle tightly, and began to play tug of war, they thrashed and knocked each other over, attempting to tear the meat They twisted and turned, soon it ripped and they ate their half quickly. Then went back to the carcass and tore into it once more, ripping the deer of its flesh. After a little while, the deer was nearly stripped of all the meat, Some skin and undesirable meat remained. The undesirable meat was around the hind quarters.

They then went to the fawn. They both took one end of the young animal and began to tug and fight, They growled softly, Not aggressively, But hungrily, They thrashed and tore at the deer's soft flesh, before it finally ripped apart, They ate the young animal savagely, Its blood coated the forest floor, and they finished it quickly. Diablo laid beside his sister in the grass satisfied for now. She licked the blood off of Diablo's muzzle gently, She wagged her tail, and he cleaned off her face also. He cleaned off his blood paws slowly, and looked around, his short, cropped ears perked up, He could hear and smell another animals. He growled and looked at Smidge. She could smell them also. She laid beside her brother and she nudged him gently "
Don't worry Diablo." She said gently, cooing him softly, She licked his bristling fur down and he huffed softly. "I only want to protect you." He said softly looking into his sister's gentle eyes. "Yes I know." She replied "But these animals don't smell threatening." It was actually hard to tell, the scent of blood hung heavily in the air, But she didn't mind, It was a comforting scent due to her past, It meant home. It meant mother. But it was also a cruel scent and stood for death and pain, She knew this just as well as Diablo. They weren't bad dogs, Just misunderstood and frightened.

Falkor stamped his paws, not out of nervousness, just out of excitement. He enjoyed meeting other animals.

"Hi Lily. You might not want to eat Phoenix, he-uh...doesn't taste very good." Falkor sheepishly stamps his paws. "We've been abandoned for a week or so, but we've found food." Falkor paused. "But we were in the city." He said as a way of explanation.

Suddenly, Falkor caught the scent of blood. He tensed and concentrated on the scent, it took everything in him to pick up details with his herding dog nose. After a few seconds of concentrating, he was sure it was deer's blood.

'Hmm...interesting..." He mused, trying to gather more details about the scent. However, his efforts were futile, and he instead decided to head in the direction of the scent.

"Hey! FALKOOR!" Phoenix screeched "Where do you think you're going?!"

"I'll talk later, Phoenix, I gotta concentrate" Falkor said absently. He lumbered in the direction of the scent.

Soon, he was able to gather more details.

"Two dogs...curious..." Falkor murmured, now set in a direction.

Diablo laid beside his sister in the small field, He nuzzled her and he could smell a scent get slightly stronger, he growled louder and his pelt bristled more, Smidge sat up, "Diablo." She nudged him gently, "Smidge, They are getting closer, What if they attack?" He asked with a growl through his gritted fangs. "Then we fight.' She said running her paw down his spine to smooth down his bristling fur. He rested his head on his large paws. "Don't worry Diablo, I'm not a pup anymore. I can defend myself." She knew he meant well, He didn't scare he, he could never hurt her. "Yeah, I know." He knew she wasn't trained to fight like he was, It was in his nature to fight on sight. Smidge wagged her tail slightly and chewed on a deer's rib bone bored. Then she caught the scent getting closer she looked up, the bone in her mouth, she sniffed the air, Another dog? She stood up quietly, trying to not alert Diablo.
