Schatten hesitated, seeing as the other wolf jumped in.


he attempted just to step in, feeling cold water against the paw.
 



Astrien looked back at him, a small questioning look on her face. She padded over to him, her fur boe straight down from the water.

"Hop in!"

She said, smiling as she shook her pelt, making some water splash on him.

With the words , like a command, he jumped into the water.


His leg landed on a rock that hid in the water, but only caused a scratch. The wolf merely sank for some time to reorganize his mind and find where he had landed. he swam to the surface of the water, grabbing onto the rock for support.
 



Astrien laughed, padding her way to him slowly.

"You know how to swim right?"

She asked, swimming around him. Astrien was smiling.

He nodded , releasing from the rock and paddling.


he 'swam' next to the rock , staying stationary next to it.
 



Astrien smiled.

"There you go."

She said, paddling around. She watched as the blood was cleared from his wound. It looked better now.

"Have you ever had a mate Schatten?"

She asked, paddling over to the shore. She shook some water off her pelt, turning her head to look at him. Her tail moved slowly near the floor, too heavy to lift it up with the water in it.

Schatten chuckled, paddling to the shore.

"Nope, I was exiled before age." he answered as he got out of the water, shaking the water off of his fur.

"Then again...I am a cannibalistic psycho who enjoys killing others..." He shrugged after he shook off most of the water.

He sat , putting a paw over his shoulder.

Astrien sat near him, looking at his shoulder.

"Does it hurt?"

She asked, nudging his paw away with her snout. Astrien wanted to see how deep it was.

The cut was deep but the bleeding has slowed.

"It's fine..." he said, glancing back at Astrien.

"how is your leg?" Schatten asked.​
 



Astrien looked at his cut before turning so he could see hers. It wasn't too deep. It was more of a rip on her skin.

"It's been better."

She said, chuckling. Astrien glanced up at him. He's cute. Wait what? No, she did not just think

That. Just... Probably her imagination.

(sorry I dozed off for a minute)


Asher looked to shadow and Tavi who went into the cave. Tavi helping shadow stay up. "Yay! Linara's home!!" She said happily. Laying down near her to rest.


Asher turning his attention To Amoux approached him, staring him down.
 

He nodded, smiling.

"well, anything I could do for you? Maybe something to eat? Some medicine for your wound?" He asked.

"I could run to get some food...Maybe some wolf! I heard wolf taste good!" His eyes gave the crazy look, the voice soon turned sinister. the look suddenly stopped , shaking his head.

"I- sorry... A-Anything I could get for you?" he asked again , trying to cover up the original comment.​
 



Astrien smiled up at him.

"No thank you."

She said, tilting her head slightly.

"Are you hungry? That deer is still there."

She said, standing up slowly. Her tail was now a bit dry, so she could lift it a bit more. Her pelt was still damp from the water, but enough so it wasn't flat down.

Amoux looked around the Shadow pack camp from where he stood. He tried to catch his eyes on Linara.
 

"no...i'm fine, thank you." he said.

"Maybe we should find the others...they must be worried sick."​
 

Astrien snorted.

"Believe me. They're not."

She said, chuckling.

"Can you come with me to the deer at least?"

She asked, taking a few steps before glancing back at him.

"I hate being alone in the woods."

She grumbled, her ears flicking.​
 



Astrien looked at him, smiling.

"So."

She said, arriving at the carcass. She began eating, tearing out a few chunks and eating.

He lay on his side, resting .

his breathing was slightly quieter.

Schatten began to sleep , as the leg and tail twitched.​

Astrien watched, chuckling. She filled herself up to the point where eating seemed like the last thing she'd want to do. There was practically only half a deer left. She lay on her side, facing Schatten. Closing her eyes, she drifted off also.

Unconsciously, she curled up into a ball right next to him, her side against his underbelly and her head near his.

Schatten awoke from the sudden warmth and unknown touch of the wolf, opening his eyes slightly and scanning the area.

once he has concluded that nothing was attacking him , he lifted his head slightly to see what it was.

He was surprised by what saw.

after a short amount of time, the puzzled wolf lowered his head back down.

the urge to sleep was eradicated from the new bond. Time seemed to slow, as he felt affection for the first time in years.

He smiled as time went by , watching the stars and glancing back at Astrien.

Keeping a watchful eye in the immediate surrounding.​
 
Austrian felt something shift around her. Schatten. She wanted to lift her head, but she was too comfortable near him. Instead, she decided to just pretend she was asleep. With a small grumble, she rolled onto her side. Her back was now entirely against him, her head right under where she presumed his head was. Her ear flicked slightly, her tail twitching as if she where asleep. A striven just wanted to see his reaction first.

This also surprised Schatten , as his eyes looked like they were about to explode out of his head.

Schatten could not move from the position , as that would wake her up, but the current position was...questionable . He couldn't do anything, so he mostly came up with excuses when she does wake up. Well , all of them would include sleep walking.

He stopped thinking about the future, closing his eyes and enjoying the moment.

He smiled, as he drifted further and further into sleep.

Astrien couldn't help but smile. She closed her eyes, and began drifting off into a peaceful sleep.

Once she woke up, the sun was peeking out of the horizon. Astrien just lifted her head, yawning and stretching her paws.
