Welcome witch. I have heard about you. I am the Lady. You will be a great servant of nature, and an even greater witch.
I will guide over you, watching you.

You are a high-school student. Your life is pretty boring and average. That is until you take an occult studies class. You've never really been interested in the paranormal, but for some reason you felt personally drawn to this class.
As you signed up for it, you could feel the pen in your hand getting heavier. Almost as if it was pulling you towards the roaster, trying to encourage you even more to not pull away your hand.

Your first day of the new year. You're nervous, surely, but confident that this year will be better than the last, as most hopeful teenagers are. Your classes are fairly normal, maths studies, English, history, and the like.
As you awake for your day, you have no idea the path that has been laid out before you...

I would like to formally welcome you all to the "A Wiccan Story" roleplay! Below you can find all the information you will need to get started, including your character sheet format, some general information, and various other out of character questions or concerns.

I'm well aware that this is a short character sheet. I want you to please provide very in-depth and detailed information in these slots. Character progression is a huge part of this roleplay, so a large pre-req CS is not required. More information about your character will be revealed as we progress through the story.

General Information

You will play a new witch, someone completely inexperienced with magic besides obvious popular media references. Your understanding is surface level, at best. You have not studied, or done any research on Wiccan/Pagan culture besides what you've seen in movies and TV shows. You're a highschool student, who is trying to juggle a social life, good grades, and now Witchcraft on top of family and friends.
You can die.

Yes, death will play an integral part of this RP. Do not be surprised or shocked or angry when it happens; death is only temporary here, so long as your coven figures out how to beat it before it comes for you all.

Backstory;
Obsidian's life has been a difficult one. His mother and father were never married, and his father left him when he was very young. His mother was a drug addict, and he was taken from her when he was ten years old, but not before falling victim to a cousin that couldn't keep his hands to himself. He was sent to live with his maternal grandparents and dealt with his mother coming in and out of his life ever since. Obsidian has struggled with depression linked to his bipolar disorder on top of his PTSD from his childhood abuse and has been in and out of therapy since he was 12. He's been inpatient three times and takes medication for his bipolar depression.

Personality Traits/Archetype;
Obsidian has bipolar 2 disorder, causing severe depression along with short bursts of mania. He takes medication, though it does have the side effect of making him somewhat manic and a bit emotionally unstable. When he's on his meds, he's fairly happy, but often feels aimless. He likes to push the buttons of his grandparents, dressing in black, and showing his attraction for other members of the male sex. He often feels like a rebel without a cause, never really fitting in or finding his place in the world.

He often looks for purpose and meaning in his life by studying religions. All of his attempts to find his spiritual outlet have ended in failure, however. He's never been able to find what feels right to him. He still searches for meaning in his life. In the meantime, he fills his life with small pleasures such as music, books, and fun experiences. He loves amusement parks, claiming that the fast pace makes him feel more spiritual.

All the while he does suffer from his PTSD, which has remained untreated. He has only had talk therapy to try and deal with it. He often will experience flashbacks and panic attacks as a result. He fears that he may never fully find peace within himself. In his attempts to come to terms with it better he often meditates and sits for hours trying to'fix' himself.

Specialists for sure. There are many different ways magic can be performed, it's almost impossible to master all schools. It's your choice if you want to be a jack of all trades, master of none kind of guy, just know that there are benefits to both sides of the coin, and drawbacks as well. You cannot be the OP "I KNOW EVERYTHING" kind of which, is my biggest point.
