Dovahkiin, fah hin kogaan mu draal~
For centuries, we have been living our lives blindly. Hidden from our eyes, invisible and undetectable for the ones who don't know how to find it, lies the world of Nova.
A world so vast it's believed to be endless, so beautiful some call it heaven, so wild some call it hell.
Species never known, lands never seen- Nova holds it all.
from the shining city of Marmoria to the wonderous color-changing desert of Ca'el- Nova's realms are as diverse as their habitants.
There's only one thing you can be certain of here- you never know.
"These are our worlds, the visible, normal world, and the invisible world we call Nova. They are two parts of a whole, like a spring and river.
Nova is where magic is born, while the visible world world is so drained of it that the excess magic our world can't hold flows into yours and brings it to life.
There was a time when both worlds were balanced, but when the Novari (people from Nova) locked the gates, after the humans started their persecution on witches, the magic couldn't flow anymore. They built up a magical dam that kept Nova safe, but also ended the flow of magic between the worlds. So the magic is stuck in Nova, and while the visible world is becoming more and more grey, losing the last bit of magic it holds with every single passing day, Nova has too much magic here. It pushes against the dam, that can only hold so much. It's crumbling, and though the holes are closed easily, they are small connections between the worlds, that allow travelling between them if you know how to find one.
and the overload in magic birthed a dark force, malicious, evil, trying to take over both worlds and push them into an endless era of darkness.
someone has to stop it and save both our worlds!
A human, the prophecy says.
There's not much time left..."

A world map
- Marmoria
-
The center of Nova is Marmoria, the White City.
Life there is slightly medieval, and though many aspects have been modernized- eg. High tech weaponry and defense systems- the people of Marmoria value their old traditions and stick to them proudly.
- The destert of Ca'el
-
In the Northeast lies the desert of Ca'el.
As dangerous as it is beautiful, the colorful Desert of Ca'el is a place only very few people dare to enter.
You get lost here very easily, as nothing ever stays the same; the sand and hills constantly change their color, making it impossible to determine where you have already been. or where you just came from, for that matter.
One of the species that lives here are the Vicaan of Ca'el, a group of snake-humanoids.
While the Desert of Ca'el is a dry, hot place during the day, it undergoes an unbelievable transformation every single night:
as soon as the sun has set, the temperatures go down rapidly, water pushes through the ground to the surface to form lakes and plants sprout out of the sand in a matter of minutes, turning the whole place into an ice cold jungle. Chances are you end up on the tip of tree because it just grew under your feet.
it is still unexplained how this sudden nightly transformation is possible, but it is said that the Vicaan know the desert's secrets.
- Graograman's Palace
-
Eastern of Ca'el lies a forbidden place, The palace of Grograman. It is a place no one would ever dare to approach. it is a place of legends and myths, a name that no one would say out lout.
stories about it are carried on in silent whispers, as if everyone in Nova was scared that Grograman, the lithic death, would appear behind them if they'd just mention him loud enough.
Grograman's palace is the place where damned souls are said to linger, confined in stone statues that Grograman is said to have turned unwanted visitors into.
fact is, no one who ever entered the palace returned.
It is said that Grograman, the lord of Ca'el, once used to be a colorful and beautiful king, until someone stole all kindness from his heart. He is said to be the one who created the magical desert jungle, as a paradise for those who proved themselves to have a pure heart and soul, to live under his protection and care. But when his kindness was stolen, he locked himself in the palace, far away from the ones he used to love, and forbid anyone and everyone to ever set foot on his grounds, swearing to turn those who wouldn't listen into cold, lifeless statues.
the palace is constantly surrounded by thick fog and clouds, not one ray of sunlight making it through for decades already. the trees all around are crippled and dead. it is constantly icy cold here, and occasionally you will hear sounds like roaring or thunder coming from the dark halls and corridors of the intimidating castle
- Siam'han
-
Southern of Marmoria lies Siam'han- the threefold city.
Siam'han is the grand center of progress and modernity.
It is known for its sky-high skyscrapers and monuments without measure, and- an upside-down twin city.
When Siam'han grew too big to expand further to the sides and had already expanded so deep into the ground that basically a copy of the city existed below the actual city, the architects of Siam'han came up with a plan as crazy as it was unique: gravity-defeating and -creating devices were built and installed to build an upside-down version Siam'han, right on top of Siam'han.
The three different levels (Sky Deck, Base city and Low Under) are connected by several buildings that can be used to get up and down, and sunshine is provided by reflecting it into the city with a horrendously complicated system of mirrors everywhere.
While Marmoria stands for tradition and a calm, slow lifestyle, Siam'han is the complete opposite.
it offers everything from cinemas (with multi-dimensional detecting antennas to provide even films from other worlds) to clubs (with upside-down dance floors, of course).
It would take decades to explore the entire city, and with its entire infrastructure changing so extremely fast, it offers something new almost every day.
Siam'hans technology is incredibly advanced, and it isn't just famous for its conjoined architecture, but also best medical treatment and progress in every field of research.
- Cer Vel
-
Far away in the south, you'll find Cer Vel-
Cer Vel is an age-old, holy place. It is where the Oraculums reside, waiting for visions and messages from the universe.
The sun never sets and never rises, the place is frozen in a constant state of dawn.
The chosen Oracle, their high priestess, is chained to the throne of Cer Vel- not literally of course, but it never leaves the place and is fed and kept alive by priestesses.
Guards are watching the place every second of the day, and will kill everyone who wasn't allowed to set foot on the holy ground, without a split second of hesitation.
The only way to see and survive a visit at Cer Vel ist by being allowed by the sisterhood of Paravel, but it's almost impossible to convince them if your worthyness.
- D'moore & D'khrain
-
located in the far West, The dense swamps of D'moore are a place of legends and stories as old as time.
It is said to be one of the most magical places of Nova; people have claimed to have seen their deceased dear here, as well as both, breathtakingly beautiful and bone-chillingly scary creatures.
While the more lake-y parts of the swamps are the home of mermaids and kelpies, the more forest-y parts are roamed by forest unicorns, fairies, elves, and witches.
The main residents however, and the respected and undoubted sovereigns of D'moore are the whisps, who live in a hidden town in the swamp:
The legendary town D'khrais, hidden deep in the swamps of D'moore, are said to only be able to be found by those who know how to find it.
The only real way to find it?
Being led by a whisp.
D'khrais is a town in perfect balance with nature and full of magic and wonder.
Those who have seen the mythical city spoke of the wind singing from the rooftops and the rivers whispering legends of heroes who fell.
The city is ran completely without electricity or anything alike. It's all acquired by the magical nature of the swamps doing everything to grant the whisps a good life.
The whisps believe that it is their goddess, Viridia, who gives D'moore and D'khrais their unique magic.
- Atera Tiridh
-
Northern of Marmoria lies Atera Tiridh-
Atera Tiridh is the monastery where the Sisterhood Of Eternity resides.
All thirteen Aeterna live here, together, gathering knowledge and wisdom for thousands of years already.
The cloister is located on a beautiful mountain, surrounded by smaller waterfalls, clouds and snow.
It is a peaceful place that can only be accessed by flight, or a week-long journey up the intricate path that leads up the mountain side.
Visitors are greeted carefully but welcomingly, and those who seek to learn are always welcome and will be treated like royals here.
For the Aeterna, everyone is worth the same, from the poorest outcast to the richest king, and everyone experiences the same respectful and polite treatment here.
