Fantasy A Union in Chaos

Ari said nothing when he caught Primrose. He snapped his fingers and nothing seemed to happen. When the strikes came, he jumped to the side, letting the Wind take him across the room. "You're quite welcome to wield Primrose, Kaldor."
Primrose gathered energy and a Holy Fire tornado was unleashed right in his face at point blank range. It'd scorch everything in the upper half of his body. If it didn't kill him, it'd do quite a bit of damage

"A god gave me that sword to fulfill my contract. Primrose is mine and mine alone. You're free to keep holding it if you're some kind of masochist."

@Birdsie
Kaldor Dreigo

Kaldor's face and upper body was blown into bits, along with the neck and some of the shoulders. He dropped to the floor, dead with Primrose lying next to him... However. Soon after, Kaldor's body quickly regenerated, his skull and face, and meat and skin regrowing itself. "Idiot. 300 years of Necromancy made me immortal. You cannot possibly imagine to beat me!" he spoke, at first with a gruntish tone, due to his body still regenerating. Kaldor got up and walked to the middle of the room, up the stairs onto the elevated position. He pressed his feet in a controlled way, as the stairs slowly moved up, leveling themselves out, then started going up the hole. Kaldor said "Goodbye, Waesmor. It's too late to save the world. That warlock of yours can't do anything. And I? I will get to live as an Ancient God in the next cycle of life. Once the Lord destroys this world, he will start things anew. I will become far more powerful than any deity!" with a warm, weirdly welcoming tone.

Jacen Rosenthal

Jacen walked towards Eliphas, to see if he was alright. He put one of his hands to Eliphas' veins... alive. "Eliphas is alive, master! But he has a lot of broken bones and is unconcious!" he yelled to Ari from across the big room.

Azriel

Azriel continued reading, but the barrier dissapeared and he fell over to his knees, throwing the books away. "It's too late... I can't study them in time. They're too hard to read... My god... we're going to die..." he said, with an extremely sad, if not depressed voice. He just sat there, waiting... and waiting. "All we can do is wait for the inevitable. We may delay it, but it will happen. Only 5 minutes left, Waesmor... all because of you. Are you happy? I hope you're fucking happy. When everyone in the universe dies, including you, Arabelle, me, or the rest of your group? That's going to be your fault. Really. I hope you're content, you deluded fool."

Cross fought his way through the library to where Eliphas and Ari where. But when he heard what Azriel said he felt a mixture of sadness and anger. "No that can't be right. There has to be something we can do. I'm not just going to wait for the end of the world. Me and Ellie were going to marry in three weeks. I can't just stand by and let this world end!"

"You got beat by a mortal, Kaldor. Spend the rest of eternity pondering that fact."

Ari walked over to Azriel and laughed right in his face. "All this time you spent throwing insults could be spent reading the books. I got them as I said I would. What have you done? Jack fucking shit. I got those fucking books and I protected your sorry ass from that big-ass dude. It was your job to prevent this, not mine."

Ari walked towards Jacen. "Lay there and cry....... And you can die alone, you ungrateful prick, knowing your entire existence had one job........and you fucked that up."

Ari summoned the White Rose. Wind surrounded Eliphas and it started healing him. "It'll be slow healing, but he'll be fine healing."

Azriel

He walked up to Ari and said "You're stupid! You're just mentally retarded! First? You tell me to read the books! Then? Then you stop me from reading the books by attacking me! All the time you could've spent not making my life harder, you made my life harder! Besides... we're safe here. We just need to get Arabelle and the rest into the library. Maybe we'll survive a week, or something? AND IT'S BECAUSE YOU HAVE FUCKING TRUST ISSUES!" he screamed at the end, in rage.

Azriel walked over to the books and sat down, staring at them.

Jacen Rosenthal

He looked at Ari and said "Master, what happened to you?" he asked, clearly distrubed. Ari never behaved like this before. He took out a health tonic and put it up to Eliphas' face, helping him drink it. Eliphas coughed, but drank it.

Eliphas

Eliphas slowly woke up and said "I can remember!" looking around, he saw Jacen at first, who helped wake him up. He walked up to the books, picking them up and laying them down next to him. He looked at Azriel and said "Uncle, don't worry. It's not too late." looking back behind him at Ari. His face was confident and brimmed with determination. "You need to chill out." he said, then picked up the Book of the Mody.

Azriel noticed what Eliphas said and asked him "U-Uncle? What happened to you? Did your brain hotwire from all that damage when you hit the pillar?" with a sarcastic voice.

Eliphas shook his head, turning to Azriel again and responded "You are my Uncle, Arabelle is my... Mom." with a steady voice. Eliphas took the Book of the Mind closer to his face and started reading as fast as he could. Each page had about 90 words. Considering there were 421 pages, they did not have much time. "I have an idea to save us all, everyone. But I need to find the right spell. It's somewhere around here..." he added, turning the pages.

"Why in the blue fucking hell should I trust you? Huh? What in the fuck have you done to gain anyone's fucking trust? If you're too stupid to remember, you kidnapped my fucking wife the day after our wedding. That shit doesn't sound like someone worth trusting with the fate of everything."

He narrow his eyes and looked Jacen right in the eye. His level voice betrayed his anger with everything. "We just went through all this bullshit for that idiot and the first thing he does is blame me for his fucking failures. I ain't putting up with that bullshit. I should've let Kaldor strike his ass down. Lesson #4: Kidnapping isn't a good way to gain trust. A fucking shame this even has to be said."

Ari was too mad and that revelation bounced right off him. He walked towards the door. "I'm done. I'll get the team in here, but I'm going to go die with my kids and my twins. I refuse to let them die in Oblivion while I live."

Jacen Rosenthal

Jacen walked out after Ari. "Master. What about your wife? You can't leave her alone." he walked after Ari, gesticulating in a very negative, upset way. Jacen didn't know Ari for long, but he had a golden heart and he could not bear witness to what was happening. The situation was quite hopeless, to say the least. But if everything is shit... why worry about it?

Eliphas

Eliphas looked through the pages and said "I found it..." then sat back. Azriel asked him "You found what?" with a curious voice. Eliphas simply started chanting from the book and... time stopped, for anyone outside the Hall of Wisdom and the Black Library. Eliphas looked around, and noticed that the lift that Kaldor used to escape stopped, because Kaldor was already far outside the library, along with it. Eliphas laughed a little and continued reading the books. Azriel asked "What was that spell?" with a curious voice. Eliphas responded "I stopped time outside the hall and the library. I'll have enough time to study this, then I can stop the end. 3 minutes? Not for us."

(Well, game-over. No tension left at all. If any of you are not okay with this, let me tell you something: It's either this, or we can let the end of the world decide the outcome of this RP.)

Azriel grabbed the Book of the Mind and continued reading it on his own. He was mid-way through it, actually. Eliphas read quite the amount of the Book of the Body, but lied it next to Azriel. "Study it." he said, then walked off where Jacen and Ari went. "Hey, stop!" he yelled, going after the both of them. "I've casted a spell. We have unlimited time."

Cross watched Eliphas and Azriel. "Hey Eliphas how long can that spell last?"

@Birdsie
Eliphas

He looked at Cross. "Bad question. The spell doesn't have to last. It's timeless." he responded, looking over at Cross. "But, in case we all die for some reason, and to keep the world going if we die, as I said. I have set the timer for 7 days. That's a lot more than Azriel needs to study the books. He could do it in one day, probably."

"And what about my kids, Jacen? There's 4 of them. I won't let all my kids die while I just live on. Just go in and stay. I'll get the rest of the team inside."

He walked to the entrance of the Black Library and stopped. Everything was frozen. Eliphas ran up to him and told him about the spell just as he was about to step out. He stopped and sighed. "Then I guess we wait..........."

He nodded. "There's nothing else to do, really. How about we play a game of catch? The weather is perfect, and it will stay perfect." he said, of course sarcastically. He didn't want to play games. Eliphas sat down on the floor, whistling and waiting. "You do realize you're my step-father, right?" he asked him, curiously.

Eliphas

He nodded "You're my step-father." whistling and sitting back. "When I was unconcious I started remembering the whole story. Valerian was my dad, Arabelle is my mom. You've married my mom, so consequently you're my step-father. Logic, duh." he added, with an explanatory voice. He sighed and got up from the cold floor. It was way too uncomfortable for him. He walked around a little bit, looking at the artifacts in the library, then after a moment he turned around to Ari.

Eliphas started explaining what happened in his life "I remember everything now. I was kidnapped, with Jenika when we were young. The kidnapper used some trick and made our parents forget about me and Jenika. The dude was a warlock, and he experimented on us and made as all-powerful. Well... there was a cost in Jenika's case. Anyway, Alreos found us and discovering our gifts, he trained us for 5 years. He was like a father to me, but he betrayed me. He sent me and Jenika to kill our parents. Jenika killed dad, and... I couldn't kill mom. Why? I don't remember. I remember the soldiers with us... well... they did some bad crap and left. That was when I had the choice to kill her, but I didn't. Then after Alreos died I discovered the truth, and... Jenika wanted revenge on her. I just helped her, 'cause she's my sister."

After a few, brief seconds of silence he spoke up again. "I mean... don't get me wrong. I don't want mom to die. But... I never even knew her, and now that I do. I no longer want to do that, despite what my sister would prefer. Whatever, I'm stupid as fuck, anyway."

Cross heard this conversation and nearly freaked out. "Well Ari seems you have four children and two stepkids. Man I'm starting to feel bad for you."

@Kylesar1

Ari sighed, taking everything in slowly. Ah fuck. Yet another pain in the ass to deal with. After about a minute, he looked up. "Well what are you gonna do about your sister? I can't put up with attempts on Arabelle's life."

"Eliphas and Jenika are grown, and she's crazy. It's hard enough to take care of the ones I had at first, let alone my twins.........aren't we supposed to be enemies?"

Eliphas

Eliphas looked at him and responded "What do you expect me to do? Am I a babysitter that takes care of her? We need to cleanse the corruption, that's what I will do. Dunno how about you. If I have to, I'll spend my life looking for a way to do that." with a 'You damn bet I will do that' type of voice. He looked around and said "And you don't have to take care of me, same goes for mom. I'm fine on my own. I'll go find a job, take what I can get and just live."

Cross had no idea how to respond. "Ari I just didn't agree to your methods. Frankly I wasn't willing to fight you. You helped me with my amnesia and practically were my friend for the past year. I wanted to be like you when it came to Eliphas. I mean yeah he did trick us but I knew what he was going through. But hearing about what that girls attempt at ending Arabelle's life maybe we should lock her up and make sure she can't hurt her mother. And Eliphas as far as I know the twins were Arabelle's first children. She always said she wanted to have children with Leon but she never got the chance. So how are you and your sister Arabelle's children?"

@Kylesar1 @Birdsie

(Question. Arabelle is about a year older than Bailey, and both Eliphas and his sister are what, 16? How does them being Arabelle's kids work?)

(They were both born BEFORE ToKV. Between ToKV and the 1x1, I suppose. Tyranny of King Valerian took place 6 years ago. Between the 1x1 and ToKV 10 years passed. It all adds up.)

Eliphas

He shrugged. "As far as I know? We were born 16 years ago. Some time before Valerian became the King of Rivannia." he responded, looking around. Eliphas didn't really care about anything, anymore. His life was fucked already. His father was dead. His mother didn't remember him. His sister was corrupt with black magic. Can stuff really get any worse than this? Oh, right. The world might just end itself, forever. Eliphas looked at them both with a rather neutral face. It wasn't cold, hateful or sinister... but it wasn't exactly warm, welcoming and happy either. It was like the absolute definition of neutrality. He had no emotion, which could cause some people to be disturbed after staring at him for too long. "Well. I'll go see how Uncle's lecture is doing, y'all do whatever. I don't care." he said, then walked towards the final floor of the library, to check up on Azriel's work.

Ari stood against the wall.

"I didn't even agree to my own methods. If she was innocent, I'd have lost my contract with Szelanya. With the fate of the world at stake though, and her trying to hold us back, desperate times call for desperate measures. I don't get off on making people suffer, not even in my Black Assassin days. I had no intentions of hurting Eliphas. All I wanted was the books. If I had him in the position to torture him, I'd have been able to get the books."
