"Pleasure to work with you, my lady." he said, respectfully, then heard what Celia said... Jacen sighed, then said "I've got a bad feeling about this." with a rather casual voice. He shaked his head, leaving through the portal. "By the Elder God, why is everything collapsing about these people?" he complained, quietly muttering to himself.

Celia sighed as she went through the portal. She would wait for Kim on the other side of it as everyone left the temple.

Once everyone was out of the temple, Kim stepped out. The temple started to crumble a bit. "Let us go sister." Kim said to Celia as they both started to run. The temple started to crumble faster and soon was colapsing behind them. They both ran as fast as they could. Kimonu made it out safely, Celia was in the doorway to it when a large piece of rubble rolled into her back and flung her forward. She landed next to the group and slowly stood up.

Jacen walked out of the temple, and said "Well, that was eas-" only to be stopped by paralyzing lightning hitting him, he yelped "NOT AGAIN!" as he lied on the ground, completely paralyzed.

Eliphas stood there, his hood was covering his face. "You have the book, yes? Hand it over." he demanded, with quite the neutral and brave voice. You could easily deduce he was the one who casted the lightning spell. He took a step forward and took a short glance at the adventurers. "Hand it over, and we will have no problems. That old warlock is only betraying you, just give it to us." he added, holding out his hand, as if he expected them to just give the book up.

"Now hold on one second. I am not going to hand my book over." Kim said a bit defensively. "I am keeping it till it is to be used, and that is final. Besides, it is in a place where only I can retrieve it." She said a bit angrily. "Now just shoo along, I will not take any demands, especially from a stranger and youngster like you." She knew who he was, although she could not remember the name or anything. She just knew he was trouble.

"Again? Really?" Bailey sighed, "Also, no. You can't have the book."

Roses surrounded Ari. Purple Petals, which was electricity. It'd somewhat mitigate his electric spells, as they absorbed electricity, but this enemy was most likely immune to the effects of the petals. He was lucky Primrose was a different rose than the one he used in his Wind.


"Maybe if you'd have asked nicely," he said. He couldn't cure Jacen's paralysis without draining his physical energy as well. He'd have to protect Jacen while he waited it out. Ari was on defensive duty for now.


Jacob stood up, exhaling softly. "We can't give you the book," he said softly, exhaling with a focused breath

He laughed and said "Really? "Can't" have it? Listen, that word does not belong to my dictionary. And I was not asking politely. I was demanding it. And when I demand something, then I need to receive it." he added. Then looked at the paralyzed Jacen. "Hm? Is he important to any of you? Well, we'll see if he is." he said, then using Arcane Magic, rose Jacen into the air, then closer to himself.


"See. If you don't hand over the book he will die." he said... looking at Jacen's face, as his body dropped over to the ground. "Whoops." he said, as he dropped Jacen with magic. Eliphas took out his dagger, kneeling next to the paralyzed body. "Such a young, heroic face. He didn't even get to understand how the world works, and he's already about to die. I'm sorry, if it makes you feel better." he said, pointing the last sentence at Jacen.


He stood up again, looking at the group. He would repeat "Now. Hand over, the book. Azriel is betraying you. He will not use the books to prevent the apocalypse, but to survive through it. The only way to prevent it is through the black library, but for that.... I need, the book." with a friendly voice at first, that got progressively aggressive as he talked.


He kneeled again, putting the cold blade up to Jacen's throat. "We have your dragon, your pet vampire and that rephaite captured. Also, we already stole the book from the Korhal boys and took some of them hostage. The only books that are left is this one, and the one in the castle. I will give an order to execute them all, unless you give me the book." he repeated his demands.


"If you see reason, and if you are not as gullible as you look... you will give me the book." he said, coldly.

Celia was doing the 'stop' signal to Eliphas by stretching her neck and bringing her hand across her neck. She mouthed "stop it, you do not like her when she is angry." to him

He snickered at her request, then aggressively responded "DO YOU NOT KNOW WHO I AM???" as lightning surrounded him, probably in anger. It was so powerful from the emotions within Eliphas that it scorched some of Jacen's body-parts. He calmed down a bit and cleaned his throat. "Sorry, you just don't tell the owner of the whole world what to do. They call me Inheritor for a reason, y'know?" he said as the lightnings dissapeared. Eliphas stood up, straightening. He heard Arabelle's question and responded "Me? You're fighting with yourself." he responded, clearly knowing something the rest did not. He calmed down a bit and kneeled next to Jacen again.


"Alright, ladies, gentlemen. Last chance to save this man's life." he said, putting up the dagger to Jacen's throat. "Just slide over the book when you feel like saving him. I will count down from 5, ready? 5..." he started counting. It did not seem like he was bluffing. He would clearly kill Jacen.

Instantly, without any warning at all, Kim's Staff was at Eliphas's throat. It was bladed and seemed to slightly dig into his skin. "I am not bluffing either." she said angrily. Her eyes changed from their bright blue to being Bright Red. "Let him go, or your soul is gone." She said angrily. Her staff already had his blood on its blade as it was slightly cutting into Eliphas's throat. "If you do not want to die here Eliphas, drop the boy. My magic is stronger, and I will not feel any remorse for doing so."

Kim looked up with a sigh. "It can not be summoned yet..... I am unable to as of now." She said as she stood up from the rubble. She seemed to come up closer again. "It can only be summoned when it is needed most. If it is not here with me right now, it has not been needed. Only I can reach it, and only I can tell when the time is." she said as she picked her staff up. "Although... there is another." She said under her breath with a smile. "although.... you do not even know how to use the book. It would be useless to you. It is written in my language that only my Gardion's and myself know." she said with a smirk. "it is also useless without the other two." kim said with a sigh. "You will kill someone for no use to anyone here, and also waste your time."

"Tut-tut-tut... Shhhh..... It's alright." he said, then looked up again. "Really, funny Goddess. I know how the books work. They are written in the Ancient God tongue, as the Elder God himself constructed and designed the books. And the Book's owner can summon it whenever they wish, as it's a basic type of magic. See?" he asked, summoning another, bigger but similar dagger to his other hand.


"In any case." Eliphas said again. "I have a new idea. You've made me summon two daggers. So how about..." he pulled Arabelle close to himself, paralyzing her like he did with Jacen. "Two hostages? Does that sound good to you? 10 seconds, new counter."

Celia could not take it anymore. She reached into the void, her arm dissapearing into it and then coming back with book with the soul symbol. "She was not lying. She was unable to because only I could reach it at the moment." She said as she stepped in front of Kim. "If you can hit me..... I will hand it to you. But you must let those two go. The odds are seriously in your favor. I have the book and all you have to do is hit me in order to get it." She said with a grin. "What do you say? You hit me and you get to have it over a dead body. it is a complete win win for you."
