Fantasy A Union in Chaos

Jacen Rosenthal
Jacen looked at Ari, accepting the book and giving him a polite, confident nod. He opened the book and started reading. The book wasn't that exicitng, as you'd expect from a magic book, but it was sure good knowledge.

(LOL. The name of the book is Arcane Bible backwards.)
(I'm not that good with names)

When Jacen was done, Ari stood up. He took on the vibe of a teacher who didn't feel like lecturing, but knew it was necessary. "Alright, Spell Blade is different from normal magic or Runic. It's a form of Arcane Arts. You don't need some crazy philosophy or any of that bullshit. It brings together all magic elements into 1 art or one purpose. All it is is an extension of the capabilities of your weapon. Your skill with a blade is still first and foremost, not your skill with spellcasting."

He held out Primrose. "Whatever element you want to enchant it with, imagine it in its purest form and then imagine your blade generating a limitless amount of it. Focus on one element, as a blade can't be enchanted 2 times simultaneously." In normal magic, it'd be hard to do, or at least easier said than done. However, imagining a blade generating an element is fairly easy to do, especially if you have a weapon you're used to. With Jacen's level of training, he should be able to grasp Spell Blade without an advanced level of magic, though the more knowledge of Arcane magic (Whether or not he can actually cast it) the better and the more powerful the magic on the weapon will be

Arabelle smiled as she listened to Ari. He was such good teacher. She was so glad she was married to him. She soon grew nervous though and sighed sadly.

Celia went to the wheel of the ship where a pig beast was steering. She started showing him the map and telling him the direction to go. The beast squeeled and Celia leaned over the railing. "We should reach land by Sundown!!" she yelled to everyone. "Help yourself to any rations of beer, drinks, and food we have. These guys do not need to eat, quite literally"

Jacen Rosenthal (Sorry, couldn't respond earlier X_X now I'm good.)

Jacen looked at Ari and after following the instructions of his, and the book, holding out his sword it started generating currents of heat, as the blade of the sword got hotter and hotter, it became hot red. Then, suddenly, flames popped out of it and the sword was set aflame. He looked at Ari again. "Am I doing this correctly?" he asked, but kept his sword a little away, fearing of being set on fire by it.

Ari nodded. "You're doing it right. Excellent..........now you need to focus it. Since you're not a fire mage, you could be hurt by the fire. I want you to envision an iron blade in the process of being forged. Imagine the heat on the blade. No flames needed." This one was trickier, having to imagine a raging fire being kept pressured in an area as relatively small as a sword. The smaller the area, the harder it was, but the stronger the enchantment in that area.

If Jacen did it right, the flames would start to die, but the blade would glow red with a whitish hue. It was the flames being focused and kept in the blade, so it wouldn't burn him as well and make the fire even hotter. It would be like tuning a radio, as the hot area could shift up and down the blade or it would grow and shrink. If it started making flames, it meant he overflowed it and was leaking. The last thing he needed in battle was the fear of being burned by his own weapon.

However, it could take some practice first, both with the spell and in battle. He needed a perfect grasp of the dimensions of his sword, from size to weight to swing speed.

Jacen Rosenthal

Jacen focused his mind, his eyelids grasping and nearly closing, but he kept staring at the blade of the sword. The red, expansive flames very slowly started dousing off. The blade steamed with the last little gulfs of flame on it, but then doused off, the only thing remaining was the red-white and extremely hot blade. The whole thing took him about 10 seconds to do, but he did it. Then the blade slowly started becoming normal, but Jacen kept it up.

( @Paint The Wind when do we introduce the villains, my master?)

"Now. That's the easy part. You see just how much it took to get your blade like that? The hard part is keeping it like that during the battle. We're not gonna test that on each other though. Consider this the end of the lesson. Apply this same concept to any other element, and you basically got it. This is where you have to practice it. Practice swinging it with each element while keeping the focus. The longer you focus, the more you'll have it down in battle, not only focusing it to enchant your blade, but focusing to take down your enemy in general."

@Birdsie

"Nervous about what? This mission?"

"I see, master." he responded. Then Jacen kept practicing for as long as he could. Not a second of rest until he did it right, not even a second. He would not stop until he could turn it on and off at will and swing it at will. He had extra training from now on, which was good. It would make him tougher, and that was the point. Strength comes from training.

(How about we make a satanic cult for Kimonu and she'll just kindly give it to us? Also, the books are dangerous even for Gods. Though, since Kimonu is a soul-based deity I guess it makes sense that she has the book of the soul, as she'd probably want it for research or crap.)

((Yea, The only way to her dimension is through the portal's in her temples. and the only way to activate them is with a Gardion and the idol. Celia has the Idol needed. I am going to do something big with her. trust me on this.))

Celia looked to the front of the ship. "Land Ho!!!!" she yelled to everyone as she saw Torno in front of them. "We shall be docking as close as we can to Kimonu's temple. I shall get everything ready for our trip into her Dimension, you guys go on ahead and get the other book." She said happily as she swung on a rope and landed on the deck.

Jacen Rosenthal

Jacen walked off the ship and said "Time for my training." with a rather casual voice. He walked to an empty piece of land, a bit away from any other people. He started his training regimen of 750 squats, 750 sit-ups, 750 push-ups and running 75kim. Then he will practice enchanting and sword-fighting for good measure.
