Children were running around near the large wall that separates the town from the trees on the outskirts of the forbidden forest. They had no idea what lay beyond the bricks, but their parents did, and so did all of the other older children that lived within the place.


A girl watched them as they played tag in the sun, an emotionless expression in her face. She wished she could be part of all the fun sometimes, but she was kept away from the town and its people because she was so...different...
