Valen yelped and fell off the couch. He'd forgotten to take off his beanie last night and so it came off when he fell. His hair stuck up crazily as he propped himself on his elbows and his eyes were wide in his panic. "What did you do that for?!"

Zach sighed. "Tori!" he shouted. When the bathroom door closed, Tori knew what was happening. "Yeah, yeah, I got it!" she called back, already gathering clothes for Myra.

“Cause it was funny!” Holly said, leaning over the edge of the couch to peer over at him. She then narrowed her eyes and leaned in even closer to Valen, as if inspecting him. “What the..” she muttered, climbing down and straddling him so she could reach up and grab the ears that were sticking out from his hair. “Are these... glued on..?” She asked, almost talking to herself. But the more she tugged on them, they realized that they were actually attached to his head. “What the hell?” She demanded, yanking on them harder and reaching behind them and trying to find where they were glued down at. “Are these the ears we bought at the store? But these... look nothing like the ones we got. What is this, Valen?”

~Timeskip~ Myra stepped out of the shower, a towel the only thing covering herself before she quickly tiptoed to tori’s room. “Do you maybe have any clothes I could borrow? I didn’t... bring any..” she trailed off as she saw a couple different outfits already laid out across tori’s bed.

"Ow!" Valen exclaimed at first as Holly tugged on his ears, but then his whole body warmed as she touched behind them. He struggled out from beneath her, cupping his hands and covering his ears. His face was bright red and his breath had gone short. He also pulled his blanket off the couch and draped it over himself so he didn't have to be even more embarrassed.

"Th-they're real... They're not that weird, are they...?" Valen bit his lip, horny and abashed at the same time. Why did her touching behind my ear do this?? That's weird! he thought.

Tori knew Myra was going to ask about why every outfit was so costumey and dressy. "I forgot to tell you, but I have a party planned for today. Lots of people are going to be coming. You got lucky because I bought 3 costumes since I couldn't choose between them."

Tori crossed her arms. "Which one do you want?" (I'll find some costumes so just wait for that)

Holly just stared at him, her hands still being held out in front of her where his ears once were. “Well I mean... most people... don’t have.. ears like this..” she tried, still kind of in shock. “Are they seriously real? You’re kidding right?” She asked, scrambling over to him and wedging her hands under his to where she could push his off and continue to touch and rub his ears. “They’re so pointy! How is this even possible?! I’m dreaming right? I’ve gotta be dreaming.” She said, sitting on his lap and continuing to play with his ears, her finger tips running along the front and back of them in a confused curious state. “Did you get like a plastic surgery to make them look this way? Did you go through an elf phase or something?” She asked, having guessed a magical creature, but just the wrong one.

Myra went to protest about going to the party at all. But seeing as she’d be in the house while it happened, there was really no way for her to escape it. She sighed and looked over the costumes, reluctantly pointing at the terribly made gypsy outfit. “How about that one? It has the most coverage.. I guess.”

"Awww c'mon man that's hardly flattering! I was planning if I wore it to cut the skirt and wear a push up bra." Tori winked. "I'm sure you have a nice figure under all those layers, so why not show it? How about this belly dancer one? It's kinda similar to the gypsy..." Tori brought out the new costume, handing it to Myra.

"No to all of the above," Valen whispered, squeezing his eyes shut. "Um, I'm sure my breath is bothering you I--uh--I'm gonna go brush my teeth...!" Valen stood up and pretty much dumped Holly off his lap, wrapping the blanket around himself and running to the bathroom. He locked the door and leaned against the wall, blushing so hard he had started to sweat. Valen covered his ears and let the blanket drop with a sigh. He cracked open the door and shouted that he was gonna take a shower. And he definitely was. A cold one.

Myra turned the costume around in her hands, feeling the material and letting out a sigh. “It’s not exactly accurate..” she muttered, this costume being more revealing than traditional clothing the belly dancers wore. “But I’ll give it a try.” She said, looking up at Tori with a small smile. “So when does the party start?”

Holly sat there on the floor, severely confused before she sighed and began to undress so she could put her costume on. “I’m definitely dreaming..” she muttered, having no clue as to why Valen’s ears looked the way they did. The thought had never even crossed her mind that he couldn’t be human. “Because that’s obviously not possible.” She told herself, pushing the annoying thought out of her mind.

"Around 5 when the Sun's starting to go down," Tori replied. "Now, would you mind helping me choose which of the other 3 I should wear?"

Valen took a ten minute long shower, just standing under the freezing water. He was shivering when he got out. Valen got dressed slowly, and as he was pulling on his shirt he looked at himself in the mirror, lips parted. He never realized just how abnormal he looked. It truly wasn't that bad, but in this moment Valen truly hated himself. He was an anomaly, changed into a werewolf as a toddler so that he no longer looked completely like a human in his regular state. His eyes, teeth, and ears were all wolf-like... Valen felt tears picking at his eyes and he quickly finished dressing. He swiped at his eyes and ruffled his drying hair before going out.

"Sexy cat." Myra said with no hesitation, obviously joking. But after a moment of thought and looking over the costume she laughed. "Definitely the sexy cat." She said, tossing the costume to her. "You have a lot of confidence. So you should show it."

Holly stood in the living room, now dressed in her vampire costume. She tried to act as normal as possible even though she wanted to further inspect Valen and see what other cool quirks he had. But she fought back the urge and smiled, showing off her fangs that she had bought along with the outfit. Her canines now looking exactly like Valen's, as if they were one now. "What do you think of these?" She asked, walking over to him and pulling her upper lip back a little bit so he could see them. "I think they look super badass. I wish my real teeth could look like this." She said, unknowingly complimenting Valen's teeth as she had forgotten that his looked the same since he never smiled much.

Tori laughed and picked up the all-leather cat costume. "You're just saying that because it's a typical white girl costume and I'm a typical white girl." She stuck out her tongue at Myra. "Just for that, I get to do your hair and makeup for the party. Hurry and go get dressed!" Tori shooed her out the room.

Valen gave her a half-hearted smile, physically reminding her about his teeth. She'd already seen them, so he didn't think it would matter much if he showed them when he smiled around her. "Your costume looks good," he said. When he went to grab the fake wolf ears and tail, Valen glanced down at his outfit of a plain T-shirt and jeans. "Okay so I'm just asking before I think I'm completely ready, do you have any problems with what I'm wearing for the costume?" Valen could be a little more geared towards a costume if he tried, but Valen obviously didn't think much about what he wore.

Myra stuck out her tongue back before heading to her own room so she could get dressed. I wonder what Zach and Jacob are going to dress up as.. she wondered silently as the door closed behind her and she began to put the costume on. Once she had everything on, she blushed as she looked in the mirror. "You would think it would at least cover more skin than this.." She said, having never shown this much skin. Not even when she went swimming! She always had on a one piece or a cover up. So this was just like her being in her bra and underwear yet it was socially acceptable since it was deemed to be a costume.

Holly bit her lower lip as she looked at what Valen was wearing. "Hmm.." She thought for a moment before she smiled again and nodded. "Looks perfect. You look perfect." She said, nudging his arm before she grabbed both of his shoulders and brought him down to her level. "There is nothing wrong with you. You understand me? I'm sorry about how I reacted before, but I had just never seen anything like it before. But your ears and your teeth are beautiful and you have no reason to be ashamed of them. People look different from each other. So what? It's what makes us who we are. So don't you dare let anyone else bring you down just because they don't understand that." She said before hugging him. The embrace only lasted a second or two as she didn't want to make him even more uncomfortable after he had to listen to her preach. She cleared her throat and pushed her hair out of her face. "W-e should probably go. Or we'll be late."

Tori barged in wearing the skin-tight black leather suit, fluffy black cat ears, and with whiskers and a black dot nose drawn on her face. "Meow!" she said as she stepped into Myra's room, striking a pose with her bent at the waist and her arms in front of her chest like a feline. Tori grinned, pushing back her dark hair. "Oooo you look niiiice." She rushed over to Myra's side and began sizing her up. "What type of hair do you think goes with this?"

Valen blinked his strange golden eyes at her, surprise obvious in his expression. "Um... yeah." He picked up his key-ring, phone, and wallet from the top of the shelf nearest the door and opened it, holding it for Holly to go out first. "Where exactly are we headed?" he asked, still a little awkward from the girl's preaching and hug.

"I don't know.. The women back home just wore their hair naturally. They never really did anything special to it." She said with a shrug, knowing at least that much about the belly dancing culture. "But you're the fashionista so you should know what would look good." She added, glancing back at Tori with wide innocent eyes like a child would to their mother or older sister.

Once they got in the car and started heading down a main street, Holly held up the invitation and typed the address into her phone. Not even a second later, it spouted out the information for them to turn left. She reached over and yanked the steering wheel, it causing the car to sharply turn left and almost run off the road, but she quickly straightened it out before letting go. "Heh heh.. Sorry.." She said sweetly before huddling up in the car seat and letting Valen do the rest of the navigating as the phone told him where to go.

Tori flipped her recently-curled hair over one shoulder dramatically. "I'm flattered by your statement," she said, laughing. "But I'm not quite that good." She then started parting Myra's hair with a comb suddenly. "You're gonna be gorgeous when I'm done. Not that you aren't already." ~I'm thinking a timeskip to the party unless you want to continue the dilly dallying for either rp~

Valen suddenly tagged Holly as a driving hazard and decided she'd have to sit in the back permanently if she did something like that again. (We can continue this one a little longer if you want to make a cute scene when they're on the snow mobiles going up the mountain?)

It was early evening, and Jack Larkin was reluctantly attending a dinner party hosted by the most wealthy couple in their town. The couple invited more people than even Jack recognized, and the grand manor was packed with white men and women who chatted pleasantly, tall glasses of champagne held delicately in their hands. Jack was acting as a bit of a wallflower, sipping gingerly at his champagne in the corner of the room as everyone else traded pleasantries. He'd attended with the others in his class that were learning to be soldiers, but they knew others here. Jack was an outcast, but that was his own choice. A few women did wander up to him and bat their lashes or toy with the ends of their hair, but he paid them no more than a fleeting glance and a soft greeting. Sure, he enjoyed their appearance as much as the next person, but they were boring. Every one of them was plainly alike.

~Timeskip for Myra rp~ Myra gawked at herself in the mirror, amazed at what she had done to her hair in such a short amount of time. "I actually look..." She trailed off, not having the words to describe how she looked at the moment.

~Lil timeskip here~ Holly stared at the snow mobiles that sat parked in front of them in horror. "We're going to have to ride those..?" She asked in a hushed whisper, not knowing exactly who she was asking as she unbuckled her seat belt. "Do you even know how to drive one of those things?!" She squeaked, looking over at Valen. She hated riding in a vehicle that didn't have doors. It was just an accident waiting to happen with her riding along.

Clarissa peeked out from behind the kitchen door, having been hiding there with the servants that were more of her family than her parents were. "There's so many of them.." She whispered, glancing behind her to her personal cook that had practically raised her. "I didn't realize there would be so many!" She peered back out into the gathering hall, her fingers trembling as they held the door as close to the frame as possible, only giving herself a fraction of an inch to look out from. "Your father's going to have a tantrum if you don't go out there and introduce yourself. He created this whole event for you, Clary. To get you proper suitors." The woman said, gently pushing the girl, trying to get her out of hiding. "You really think a sensible man would want me as his wife? With me looking like this?" She whispered back harshly, motioning to her hair that was much shorter than it should be. "I like myself the way I am. You know that more than anyone. But no boy out there is going to like me when their hair is probably longer than mine!" She added, her cheeks hot with embarrassment. "Well you'll never know for sure unless you put yourself out there!" The woman retorted before shoving her out the door none too gently and closed it behind her so that she couldn't escape.

"There she is!" Boomed a gruff voice, a large man dressed in fancy clothing wrapping his arm around Clarissa's shoulders. "Everyone, I'd like you to meet my daughter Clarissa." He said with a warm smile, despite the horrified expression Clary had, her face having gone white.

"Beautiful? Wonderful? Fabulous? Yes, honey, you do. Every one of the above." Tori tapped Myra's cheek fondly and quickly reached over and swiped a bit of mocha-colored lipstick onto her lips. Tori added a bit of a white ombre in the middle with another lipstick, and then she clapped her hands. "Voila! Let's get ready to welcome some guests!" She ducked out the door before peeking her head back in. "Summon your inner sexy, 'cause your outside is def feeling it!" Then she headed to the living room.

Valen got out the car and stared at the snowmobile for a few seconds. There were two mobiles and two guys already prepared to drive them off. "I mean... I can try. I haven't done it in a few years, but I don't think I could be too rusty." He glanced back at Holly. "Do you wanna risk it, or would you prefer to go with one of those guys?"

Jack only showed slight interest when the more boisterous half of the hosting couple brought everyone's attention to the frail girl beside him. He swirled his champagne glass, letting out a soft sigh. Was this to be the newest girl auctioned off to the less-than-pleasant unmarried men of the town. Good luck, he thought bitterly. Then he spared a quick look back at her before returning to his observing the room. She had inappropriately short hair, only slightly longer than his own. A few scattered gasps freckled the room, mostly from women. The men turned up their noses and then turned their backs when they noticed her hair. The chatter from before began to return, but this time the sound was colored with disdain.

Myra stood and gave herself one last glance in the mirror before reluctantly following after Tori, trying her best to have the same confidence as Tori did when she walked. While she was in the middle of her strut, she was so focused on what she was doing that she didn't realize Zach was standing just a few feet in front of her. She yelped when she bumped into him and almost lost her balance, the jewelry tied around her waist jangling loudly.

Holly instantly stood by Valen's side, a death grip on his upper arm. "Not a chance." She said, her wide eyes remaining on the snowmobiles, her body trembling lightly. Whether it was from the cold or her own fear, she didn't know.

Zach barely caught Myra, his hands circling her waist. His fingers spread across her bare skin, warm against the curve of her hips and a bit of her lower back. "Whoa, Myra, watch where you're going!" A hint of amusement was obvious in his voice. "What's the hurry?"

"Sorry, guys, but she won't go unless I drive her," Valen told the two drivers in a shy voice. One of them crossed his arms. "You even know how to get on one?" he asked. Valen frowned.

"Unless you count traveling over snowy hills and plains every winter in Canada for the majority of my adolescence, I guess not." The other guy snorted with laughter, and the dude who'd challenged Valen reluctantly handed over two extra helmets.

"Send one of the guys up top down with my 'bile once you two get there, alright?" he said, and Valen nodded.

"Got it," he replied, handing one of the helmets to Holly. "Ready to go?"

Clarissa flinched away from her father's tight gripped and ducked out from under his arm. "Father please," She tried, her eyes dropping to the floor as she heard the disapproving whispers and could feel the cold glares that practically pierced her skin. "She looks like a stable boy with that hair!" A snooty boy commented from beside Jack, the room roaring with laughter soon after. Clarissa's father laughed lightly, obviously awkward about the whole situation, but he made no attempts to defend his own flesh and blood. "Come now everyone, she's a girl of only sixteen. Her hair will grow back, I assure you. And I can also assure you that the length of her hair doesn't affect her fertility. She bloomed beautifully into womanhood only last spring! Better late than never, as I always say." He said, desperately trying to fix the situation but only made things drastically worse. Clarissa stared at her feet, tears brimming in her eyes. She wished more than anything that she would just disappear into thin air. Or at the very least be able to escape the humiliating situation. But her father had gripped her dainty wrist and refused to let it go, practically crushing the bone.

Myra's face flushed pink as she looked up at Zach, at a loss for words as she felt his hands gripping her bare skin. "I-I um... S-Sorry.." She managed, her eyes wide as she glanced away, unable to remove herself from his grasp.

Holly hesitantly strapped the helmet on, making the strap go as tight as it possibly could before letting out a shaky breath. "Ready as I'll ever be I guess.." She said, obviously not enthusiastic about getting on the electric death machine.

"I bet he's wondering who'd like to marry that girl?" Jack said in a voice unlike his own. He felt pity for the girl, whose face had gone pink as a berry. Her eyes gleamed with unshed tears. Poor child. "She's a pretty one, you've gotta admit, yes?" He picked up a small hors d'oeuvre and flung it at the nearest man, hitting him square in the face. "Aye!" the man exclaimed, but it sounded as if he'd seconded Jack's words. Luckily, no one had seen the perfect throw.

Zach realized Myra's anxiety and awkwardly let go of her, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced away. "Uh... sorry about that. I guess I'll let you get to Tori before--"

"MYRAAAAA!" Zach grinned at Tori's shout.

"Before that," he finished.

"Hold on tight to me," Valen instructed Holly, and then they were off. He didn't hold back with the throttle, going almost as fast as the snowmobile could, which was to say very fast. He swerved and dodged trees and rocks, heading cleanly up the less steep sides of the mountain.

"No I'm sorry I-" She was cut off by the shrill screech that came from Tori. "I-I'd better get going." She said, awkwardly and shyly stumbling away from Zach before hurrying off to find Tori.

Holly buried her face into Valen's shoulder left shoulder blade, her eyes shut tightly as she hastily wrapped her arms around Valen's waist, her body pressing up against him as they sped up the mountain. "You're going to kill us!" She screamed, hating the feeling of them speeding along and narrowly missing trees.
