Fandom A Rose And A Thorn (Shadow x Amy)

"Sonic, first off, I'm a woman," Amy told him, "I didn't do it because he told me to; I did it because I wanted to," she took a step back, feeling uncomfortable as he advanced on her, "And you were never fine being with me before. You always ran away. Do you just want what you can't have? Because... because I don't love you any more!"

"You what? You don't love me anymore?" Sonic asked slowly, seeing the truth of what Shadow has done to Amy. His eye twitched lightly and he took another step to her.

"Well... I don't have to! I'm not under any kind of obligation to love you! You're just used to me being a silly little girl!" Amy stepped back again - and found her back pressed up against a wall, "Back off, Sonic! Get on with your life, like I plan to!"

"No.... don't think I never noticed it. You're not a little girl...but...I still think I can do this." Sonic said as he moved his hands towards her.

"Do... do what?" Amy asked, and when he didn't back off like she asked, she was feeling genuinely frightened now, "Sonic... Sonic, I don't want you to do anything! Just leave!"

(Six Hours Later)

It was dark outside, and Amy was alone in her apartment. That was all she wanted, right now and forever. To be alone and never touched by anybody at all, ever again. The washer-dryer was on its third cycle, and she was on her hands and knees, her hair tied back and dressed in cleaning gear, trying to scrub every inch of her bedroom. She'd scrubbed at herself and at the carpet and the bed until her skin was bloody and her nails broke, but she couldn't stop seeing the stains.

Shadow had been worried for Amy since she didn't respond to him when he came by earlier. He thought it was because she needed some time alone but now, he needed to see if she was alright. Quickly, he hurried over to Amy's apartment and knocked on her door. "Amy? It's me, Shadow." The black hedgehog said.

Amy didn't look up from scrubbing the carpet. She didn't even hear the door knock; all she could hear was the screaming still going on in her own head. She dunked the scrubbing brush back in the bucket and bent over the carpet in her bedroom, still scrubbing, wishing that it would be this easy to feel clean herself.

Shadow knocked again then tried opening the door but saw that it was unlocked. That can't be right....Amy always locks her door....unless someone came in here. He thought as he turned the knob and pushed the door open. Looking around, he saw nothing out of order except he couldn't see where Amy was. "Amy?! You in here?" Shadow asked once he closed the door behind him.

There was no answer. The washer-dryer was going, and there were cleaning materials everywhere. It seemed everything was being cleaned. And sure, Amy was clean and tidy but she should have had work today so why...

He could hear something from the bedroom, somebody panting. When he opened the door, it was to see Amy, on her hands and knees, sleeves rolled up and quills tied back as she scrubbed desperately at the carpet, not even acknowledging him.

"O-Oh....I thought you would be at work today. Listen, I came by earlier to apologize about yesterday. You didn't respond so I assumed you needed time by yourself. So, why are you cleaning?" Shadow asked, going over to Amy, "I can take over if you'd like."

Amy leapt away and screamed in fright, knocking over the bucket in the process, staring up at the hedgehog, "NO! OH CHAOS NO!"

Her nails were bloody from scrubbing at the bed, the carpet, and herself. And the skin on her arms was raw and scratched - as it now was on most of her body, in fact. She had been doing a lot of cleaning. And there were ugly purple bruises all over her face, neck and arms.

It's Shadow, it's Shadow, not Sonic. It's Shadow...

But she was feeling no comfort at that knowledge as she scrabbled backwards away from him.

"DON'T TOUCH ME! DON'T TOUCH ME!"

Shadow backed up quickly, alerted. "Amy....what happened to you...I won't hurt you. It's me....Shadow....you know me." He said quietly to her as he knelt down, "It'll be alright.....I....want to know what happened to you. I'm worried for you."

"NOTHING! NOTHING HAPPENED!" Amy screamed, jumping to her feet. She didn't back away against a wall though, like if you wanted to defend yourself. She was backing away towards the door - like if you were getting ready to just run for it. She was visibly shaking all over, her eyes wide, "Nothing happened! Don't touch me!"

It's Shadow, it's Shadow, her brain was trying to say it, but she was just so terrified. This was the hedgehog who had come knocking in her hour of need and then practically abandoned her to Sonic's clutches.

Shadow shivered at Amy's scared tone. It unsettled him as he looked over at the marks on her neck. "Those are bites.....I think something did happen...Amy, if you don't want to talk, don't talk. I won't force you to talk with me. I'll go..." He said to the pink hedgehog and moved past her as he started towards the front door of her apartment.

"Uh... uh..." Amy was still shaking, "D-Don't leave me alone..." she managed, "I... I don't know what to do... I've been scrubbing and... and it won't get clean... I don't know what to do..." She looked at the kitchen area, with a lot of sharp implements in it. They needed cleaning too...

"I... I did it all to myself, see?" she insisted, and pushed up her sleeves, "See?" Her skin was raw from her scrubbing in the shower, and there were long scratches from scratching at herself, "Nothing happened, it's all my fault..."

Shadow turned to Amy, stopping in his tracks. "Let me see those marks..." He said, going back over to her and lightly touching her arm, "What have you been doing....to yourself?"

"J-just cleaning..." Amy flinched at the light touch. Not the best sign. And she was terrified. Not just of Shadow. Of everything. Like something was going to jump out at her any moment, "I just... had a shower..."

Amy couldn't help but dodge the question desperately. She was terrified of telling Shadow the truth. He'd just call her a whore for submitting to Sonic so easily, and she felt like one. There were even minor scalds on her skin, from turning the water as hot as possible. She'd just felt like maybe she could burn it off, but her skin just wouldn't stop crawling.

"And your bite marks....someone nicked you there." Shadow commented as he removed his hand from her arm then he looked up at Amy's eyes, slowly finding the truth, "Don't tell me...."

"Nothing happened," Amy's eyes dropped, and she couldn't look up at him, backing away and wrapping her arms around herself, "Nothing happened, nothing happened, I j-just wanted to get clean..."

The washer-dryer pinged to a halt, breaking the painful silence. Amy rushed over. It didn't inspire confidence that she dragged out several large bedsheets, looking them over. They had been through three cycles. They were spotless. But tears beaded up in her eyes and she shoved them back in the washer anyway, setting it for another heat cycle quickly.

She turned her back on Shadow, wrapping her arms around herself again, "I just want to be clean..." She started to scratch at her arms, wishing she could just peel her skin right off.

Shadow followed Amy and tapped her shoulder. "You should turn that off.....please....you're worried....you were....raped." He said quietly, "But by who?"

Amy flinched again. God, she just felt so cold right now, so cold and dead. Every little part of her hurt, "It... it's all my fault... it's my fault for being such a slut..." she shivered, "It wasn't rape, it wasn't, it wasn't, it was all my fault, because I'm a slut..."

She sat on the couch, hugging her knees and rocking herself, staring straight ahead. Sitting down clearly hurt too. But she couldn't cry. Crying would make things dirty again.

Now the couch will need scrubbing too, because...

"I dirty up everything I touch..."

"You're not a slut, Amy. If it was Sonic who did this, I will destroy him. What he did has no excuse...." Shadow said, watching her, "I'll find Blaze, actually. She needs to hear this, as well."

"NO NO NO!" Amy screamed, clutching Shadow by his fluffy chest hair frantically, tight enough to hurt, "Don't tell anybody! Don't tell anybody! Please!" The look in her eyes cemented that Shadow's wild guess had been on the money, "It was telling that made him angry! Don't tell anybody!!!"

Tears beaded up in her eyes.

"Everybody will feel sorry for me... and they'll never forget... I just want to forget..."

Shadow flinched and looked at Amy, confused. "But......Amy, how could you say that? Locking something like that away......it'll only destroy who you are. Don't do that. You have to tell Blaze that Sonic....raped you." He told her.
