A Pokemon Journey!

Lukas grunted in anger as Combi missed it's attack for the umpteenth time. It was frustrating to watch his pokemon miss so many times, and the battle was beginning to wear on Lukas's patience. He glanced over towards Spence, who was watching the two sides, with a scared look in her eyes. Lukas chuckled and looked back at Roxanne and her pokemon, the ugly Nosepass.


"Don't you worry your pretty little head, Spence. I got this." He thought to himself.


Lukas watched as Roxanne's pokemon attacked once again with Rock Tomb.


"Combi, you know what to do! Use Brick Break!"


The Combusken nodded, and leapt out of the way of then incoming rocks, and charged the Nosepass pokemon, leapt into the air and brought it's hand down towards the pokemon's head.

The pokemon grunted as Combusken's effective move slammed down onto his head, making the Nosepass roll back a bit as he rubbed his head, glaring at the starter pokemon.


"Are you alright, Nosepass?" Roxanne called out. Nosepass grunted back in response. "Alright then, use Tackle!" The gym leader called out as the pokemon lunged at the Combusken, head first.

[Wiggle]

Combusken immediately jumped to the left, avoiding the Nosepass's attack.


"Good job, Combi. Finish it, we've got a long way to go until the Elite Four, let's prove that we're worthy! Brick Break!"


Combi nodded and dashed towards the Nosepass, aiming it's brick break at the Nosepass once again.

(okay, this is getting ridiculous! Nothing but 1s and 4s?)

(( I think we should just end the battle with a one hit critical K.O. ))


As the super effective move landed against Nosepass's head, it knocked it out with great force, throwing it onto the ground and was unable to get up. Spencer, who was watching the battle a bit worried stood up and grinned, "Nosepass is unable to battle, Combi is the winner!" she called out as she threw up the flag toward Lukas's spot. Sighing in relief, she set the flag down and watched as Roxanne returned her pokemon.


"What a great battle. A lot of dodging that's for sure," she laughed.


Spencer grinned, as she ran up and hugged Lukas, "You won!"

Lukas smiled and returned Combi to it's pokeball before suddenly being embraced by Spencer.


"Yeah, I sure did." He said. "All thanks to your cheering."


Lukas turned his head towards Roxanne and gave her a smile and a curt nod.


"Thanks for accepting my challenge Roxanne. It was a ton of fun, that's for sure." Lukas said with a smile.

Roxanne smiled, "You were great, and you and Spencer deserve this. Thank you for challenging my gym, I hope to see you soon!" she flashed a bright smile as she handed Lukas his badge.


Spencer, who still had her arms around Lukas grinned. "Now we're even. Though, for a minute there I thought you were gonna get busted with all the misses," she laughed. "Let's go get our pokemon healed then off to Dewfort?" Spencer suggested, reverting to just holding his hand. "I know someone said that there is a guy who takes anybody to either Dewfort or Slateport, and I believe our next gym is in Dewfort, right?"
