Fantasy A Pirate's Life For Me!

Marion wiped off the blood on her neck and chin as best she could, then frowned at the stains on what used to be her crisp white collar. "The merman swam away and I haven't seen him after. The mermaid swam off last I checked, but I have a strong feeling that we'll see her again rather soon." Licking the last of the man's rather iron deficient blood from her lips, she looked at her companion. "This keeps happening," indicating the blood stained shirt and frowning, "I should just buy a damn red shirt. It would mean less replacing shirts and the blood would blend in better."
Marion was mostly talking to herself, but she also wondered at what Edyth thought of her predicament.

Edyth agreed with Marion, "Or black. That's what I go with. Except for some blue, but..." She trailed off, not really knowing where she was going with her observation. "Dark clothes in general also make you hard to spot in shadows. For you, being up in the sky most of the day, people could mistake you for a bird. Then you could swoop down and dispatch your enemy with little trouble, don't you think?" The Gunner offered with a small smirk. She loved coming up with battle plans. It made her feel powerful and almost giddy thinking up ways to catch people off guard.

Red was uncomfortable.

She found Teresa amusing, and for a moment considering using her as a human shield before a woman came over and fixated a "mother" stare on the man, whom raised his eyebrows in surprise when she shoved him. Red watched him go. The larger man approached a very strange looking woman but she'd stopped paying attention when she was guided over to a table with the kid and by the woman. A flicker of irritation went across her own face at the woman's kid comment.

She turned to Teresa, "Oh come on, Pouty. At least give me two points for ingenuity." Red paused, "Yes I stole your bread, and no I don't care." Her tone was flat, and indeed uncaring.

Red looked at the woman whom had brought her to this table. "Can I have a drink?" Her expression was smug, but the question was serious. If Teresa was able to get something out of them, perhaps she might.
