Morrigan is, to put it shortly, a very fast paced person. She reacts quickly and wastes no time on pondering over life. She is very keen on using her time accordingly and stops for basically no one. Morrigan is quick to the punch and to punch, loud mouthed, she is opinionated and shows it off to those under her with pride. When there is a person of authority one can easily see the fact that she refrains herself from acting out due to dear and respect (stemming from her past treatment on another ship by the name of Capricorn). She isn't the most loyal person around but she is kind enough not to leave the people she likes in need. One can tell that she is an intellectual person but most would agree that whether or not she uses her intelligence properly is up for debate.

Background
She grew up a poor girl, her mother a wench, her father a bastard, so from early childhood she was struggling to survive, trying her best to keep herself and her siblings from out of trouble. Maria always had a fascination with maps as a kid and would constantly map out her routes to shopping districts and such, and one day this talent was spotted by a young man who decided to teach her how to use her unique knack for spacial awareness into something greater.
The little girl, being nine at the time, knew no better and let herself be swept up by the man of the sea. As it was, it turned out that he was a pirate and he took her as his apprentice under his wing. The girl was startled by the changes to her world but she truly felt at home at the sea, and her skills were put into good use.
As time went on she grew into a beautiful woman, and her tutor was a man with urges, so her being one of the few female members on ship, she found herself with a robbed adolescence. Maria could've never forgiven he man after that, and she never had the chance to. She killed him by slitting his throat, allowing her tutor to choke on his own blood. Maria took all of his possessions, from his map to even his name, the name Morrigan.
She left her old ship without a thought, in the dead of the night into the next port, and as fate would have it, she ended up on the Ranescence as their navigator. Such has been like for four years now.

Skills
Quick on her feet, with the ability to quickly orientate her surroundings, she would be caught dead without a map to tell where she is going. She is rather skilled in close quarters combat, from her many tavern squabbles, times on the arena; her ability to take in her surroundings really helps out with it.

Weapon
A simple saber, since this swashbuckler mostly relies on intellect and hand to hand combat to get out of slippery slopes! (If she was being honest she would admit that she never held a sword in her hands until now so she is practically useless with it.)

She is a thrill seeker and can almost always be found up high in the sails or climbing the masts or you can see her jumping off the sails and the masts. The leap invigorates her. The feeling of being high up above everything and everyone else brings her peace. She isn't quite a solitary person but her being alone while up there relaxes her greatly. She can be a quiet and meek thing usually unless you catch her after her relax time. Or drunk, she is a loud and silly drunk, and unlike anything like her usual self.

As a little girl Kalgura was sold into hard labor slave work, her parents were poor innkeepers due to her fathers gambling and had 5 other children to feed. As the oldest she had no other choice or her family would die. It was decided after an inspection of her own strengths that she would be used in the navy. She skipped around jobs a lot. As a slave she had no choices in the matter if she stepped out of line or disobeyed she would be beaten or worse. Skipping around from hard labor to serving girl to the many odd jobs she picked up a few skills to survive. The best way to survive in the navy as a slave is to think of yourself as a spy. You must be silent, you must be swift, you must always keep an eye and an ear out for anything and everything about you, and if someone spots you act as though you belong. After 10 years in the service she was sent away from the Navy Headquarters and put aboard a ship where she served another two years, The ship could afford no serving girls so she was mostly used as she was needed for anything which was how she learned a majority of her carpentry skills. Due to the fact she was the lightest of them and if she fell to her death no one would care they used her as the rigger for their sails. She found out up there she couldn't barely here their orders. At the age of 17 the navy shipped docked their boats at an island and were called to stay and "provide peace and law" She stayed on until she met another girl from a visiting vessel. She had never entertained the thought of truly escaping until she met the other girl who like her had been in service to the navy most of her life and had not stopped trying to run away. It was that girl who had taught her to take everything she had ever learned and dedicate it to her own escape. But she worried for her family. Upon snooping she found she had long ago paid off the debt her father owed and no longer had any qualms with leaving though she knew she had nowhere to go. Her first friend left her after several months and she after that jarring experience of losing the only friend she'd ever really had she planned in earnest. And after months and months of planning she found her day. She fell off the mast one stormy day as the crew worked to make sure nothing got damaged by the strong and violent currents.

Personality: When people first meet Beatrice, the word pirate doesn't even cross their mind. She's extremely quiet, and usually stutters when she talks. She can be shy around most of the crew members on the ship she's on, yet when she's trying to nag a few extra weapons she can be extremely persuasive and sometimes will get more than she was originally going for.

Background: Beatrice's father was actually a pirate himself, which is what originally brought on her wanting to be a pirate in the first place. But as a kid, it was just her and her mother by themselves, always waiting for the occasional surprise visit father, which is basically what Beatrice had lived for her entire life. Since Beatrice has always been on the more weird side, none of the kids would ever really play with her, so she'd always either with her mother or alone, and because of this she became the introvert she is today. Now, let's get back into the topic of her father and his little visits. The last time that Beatrice ever saw her father was when he was on a secret little visit, and gave her a little medallion with a skull engraved on it. Ever since then, Beatrice never saw her father, which has been good ten years. Zoom forward 8 years later, and Beatrice becomes a pirate, in hopes of possibly running into her father during her supposed treasure hunting and such.

Skills: Beatrice is pretty handy with a canon, in such a way that if she needed to save one thing on the ship, it'd either be an attempt to snag a canon, or as many muskets as her arms would allow. She's got an amazing aim and almost never misses her shot.

Weapon: Two short Belgian flintlocks each shoved in the side of her belt, 18th century American musket(for bigger problems) and a small dagger shoved down the side of her coat for just in case.

The rumors say that he'd even been pirating since he was a boy. He started off running gunpwoder and he still did it to this day, even after being offered captain positions on other ships.

The rumors go even further. In some places you might hear whispers that Bart actually used to be a privateer. No one knows why he switched from hunting pirates to actually becoming one himself.

Skills: Strong - All the lifting he does pays off. Can lift heavy objects with incredible ease.
Fisticuffs - Actually prefers to fight with his hands.
Athletic - Quick on his feet when not carrying anything.

Weapon: His fists. Not a terrible shot though.

Background: There once was a sailor who Was a navy captain. His ship was taken over by pirates and he was shot and thrown overboard. Bleeding out and almost dead in the water, a beautiful Mermaid found him, and saved his life. They fell into a deep love that they desired to have a child, which is nearly impossible for a Mer and human. they went in search of a witch, Who granted the Mermaid legs for one year. She soon became pregnant with her and the man's Child, carrying her until the child's birth, where the pain stopped the Mermaid's heart. The Man Went insane from sorrow, Convinced his beloved wife wasn't dead, Just somewhere in the ocean and ran to the water, Searching every day for years until he went too far and drowned, leaving their daughter alone, only 13 years old.
The half Mer child stayed in the sea after that, watching the humans, and every once in a while will come to Shore.
Bet she always prefers her tail over her human legs it Makes her feel More at ease and closer to her Mother.


Skills: Because of her half blood, She can transform her tail to legs, it Just takes a lot of effort and leaves her vulnerable for a while during and after the transformation.
She knows how to defend herself both in and out OF the water.
Great singer, but not Magical.

Weapon: Jagged bone sword.

She is adventurous, curious and a bit of a trouble maker. She loves to have a good time and she can out drink almost anyone. She can also be hyperactive which can be tiring for some. She's also not a push over, people tend to think she's easy to take advantage of but she usually proves them wrong. Also she can be quite smart but tends to also have her dumb moments.

Background:
Erica use to live in the orphanage. She had know idea who her parents were but it was something that never really bothered her. She was left with a letter from her parents and it seemed they cared for her a lot which was good enough for her. Unfortunately the orphanage she was at wasn't the greatest and a lot of kids would try to escape. She happen to be one of the few that got out.

To make money Erica would steal things. People would come and ask her to get something for them and pay her for the job. She was quite good at it to. She even made a bit of her name for herself. The knights were never able to catch her. Wanting to have bit more adventure in her life she soon found herself becoming part of pirates crew.

Sai stands at around 4' 10", and is in fact a FEMALE. But not just any female, an incredibly SHORT (you don't say) one. But not just any incredibly short female, an incredibly FLAT one. But just not any incredibly short and flat female, a kinda agender ish lemme explain like she's fine being called any pronoun and doesn't really care how she's portrayed gender wise but she still sees herself as a girl and its weird but just know that you can call her by any pronoun you want lol

He's an ectomorph and is quite petite, seeming somewhat frail in a sense. In all honesty he just looks like a little boy.

Role: Cabin Boy

Ship: Tynedale

Personality: Sai is a gentle boy(?) who's adventurous and wants none other than to explore the world and be happy. He's relatively innocent and pure, and seems to not quite understand much about the world (except for the obvious. He's not dumb lol). He looks like the simple type: overall happy, easily excited, and an optimist. He's not particularly chatty, but he's not very quiet either.

Sai is the type of person who watches and notices everything, from how you got that cool haircut, to how that bug over there just got squashed by some little kid. He's also got a good understand when it comes to people. He understands how people act when they feel a certain way, and can tell a lie very well.

Sai's not an idiot. He's quite smart when he uses his brain, and can analyze very well if he so chooses. He seems to value traits like kindness over intelligence. Sai isn't a big fan of violence, though he will protect what he sees valuable to him. Sai is a hard worker and works hard at whatever he has to do with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.

Background:
Sai was born a middle child of a family of 8. His parents were poor innkeepers, a result of his father gambling often. While he was still quite young, his oldest sister was sold. Sai didn't really understand this, and very quickly forgot all but the fact he had a sister who left when he was maybe 3. Sai actually used to be one of the taller kids in the area, having hit his growth spurt very early.

From a young age, Sai had to work very hard to keep his family going.

Erica use to live in the orphanage. She had know idea who her parents were but it was something that never really bothered her. She was left with a letter from her parents and it seemed they cared for her a lot which was good enough for her. Unfortunately the orphanage she was at wasn't the greatest and a lot of kids would try to escape. She happen to be one of the few that got out.

To make money Erica would steal things. People would come and ask her to get something for them and pay her for the job. She was quite good at it to. She even made a bit of her name for herself. The knights were never able to catch her. Wanting to have bit more adventure in her life she soon found herself becoming part of pirates crew.
