Realistic or Modern A Mythical Creature Roleplay

The scientist peered around the corner of a castle wall, quite glad to be outside again. With light fluffy wings the girl darted through the villages, she began running too fast before smacking face-first into a sign. DO NOT ENTER it warned, with letters as red as the mark on her forehead. She stepped closer, staring at the door of the building. It was the same one from before. She reached over with sly, clawed fingers, prying at the numerous locks the barricaded the entrance, after all...there must be something exciting behind a door few go through.

(Did she go to the big building In the first village? If so, It has locks on it =c )

(Mk)

Damien walked through the old town, looking for the passage to the sanctuary..

She fluttered her wings as she carefully shifted the pegs of the inside of the lock, listening it clang and jangle noisily. "Let's see...so father said you just have to do this....and then move it like this..." Mai muttered to herself in concentration as her claw picked at the insides, hoping it would open just like any other peglock.

(Wait'll Mai see's the masses of science held In that place :c )

Damien found the entrance and began to walk down It..

The lock gave way, the metal making a loud *CLANK * as it clattered onto the floor. "That seemed way too simple..." she muttered in suspicion, pushing the heavy door open with all her might. The area was dark, and quite dusty as she walked in, slamming into several tables and objects along the way. "Argh...I can't see a thing..." Mai complained as she ran her hands over the tables.

(Still to bad that Mai has yet to learn all of her new found powers =c )

Damien was still walking through the tunnels when he could her tapping along the walls...

What Is It this time? No, I did not bring ye food! Those Dragons? Can't ye get them yerself? No... Ehh.. I can.. Maybe later, Gah! ASK ME LATER!...

He said to someone...

(Yeah :< She's quite clueless on everything...she can't seem to grasp the idea of being a myth yet)

After a moment, her eyes adjusted to the darkness, seeing shadows and shapes of familiar items. Test tubes, vials, microscopes, chambers and culture labs. Mai frantically looked around "Wait...wait wait....this can't be right, it's all lab equipment..." she said, picking up vial after vial to examine them. There were machines she didn't know about, graphs, electrocardiograms, and more she couldn't even recognize. The scientist was befuddled, running through the lab. "Why would Damien...hide a place like this?? There could be no reason for him to have this lab...maybe it was for one of his friends long ago..." she said as she darted up the stairs.

Damien finally reached the end of the tunnel and out Into the sanctuary.. What was that smell... Ahh... Seems like Mai came through only recently... Of course she'd go where he told her not to...

Though Mai was clumsy, she was usually quick on her feet when she didn't fall as often or crash into things. She fixed her glasses as she looked at large containers filled with know knows what...and tables seeming to be too broken down to tell what it was once used for. Before she could make it all the way through the second floor, she slipped onto the ground, knowing over a table full of old bones, wings knocking over beakers of unused fluids, and scattering what ever else was in the endless room. "All this...so much research...so much items...Bigger than any government facility" she smiled, dodging the new pile of shattered glass and acids on the floor. "It doesn't look like a place that deserves to be locked up..."

(When I got nothin to do, waiting for a response feels to damned long....)

Damien walked Into town, noticing that the door was unlocked, bolts and whatnot on the ground, he only sighed....

Mai turned around quickly "I'll have to get out of here before Damien finds out..." She said to herself as she scampered through the darkness in a violet blaze to return to the exit. But w she had made it out to safey, she met an issue... slamming face first into a tall, long hair man. "OH HIYA DAMIEN " the girl called nervously, glancing at the locks on the ground "I see...and here's the crime scene...I was just looking for an intruder..." Mai blatantly lied, picking at her wings to distract herself.

He grabbed Mai, hauling her Inside, shutting the door and turning the lights on, or rather, lighting the torches up, with that white flame again, as the room lit up, It showed hundreds of thousands of materials, all such kinds, everything a scientist would kill for, and more, there were creatures walking about as well, apparently glad that their master had returned.

Didn't I tell ye not to come In here, Mai? Oi! Damien whistles at the Beasts that were running amok. Sit! He yelled out, as they all sat down abrubtly... Now, what are ye doin In here, and I won't let ye escape.. He says as he drags the girl up the stairs, as more torches light up...

Mai squirmed furiously, trying to escape in vain, eyes glancing at the creatures that were with her in the lab without her knowing. "I....I.." The young scientist stuttered, unable to speak As the fiery white light illuminated the room "I couldn't...help myself, the place just seemed to call me...it's filled with so many amazing things... Why do...why did you lock this lab up???" She asked, flailing her wings as the Ancient pulled her up the stairs, "You can't be..." It was ridiculous. The thought of the old man being interested in such a thing like science...

He only glared down at her, as If she had broken something that was extremely close to him...

I locked this place down 784 million Eons ago. When I went Insane, this place was my sanctuary from war, and when I was once again sane, this was what I did on my off days, everyday I didn't spend In battle or on explorations, I spent here, I have spent about 500 Eons, In this lab alone, with my experiments and my work.

He said, still glaring down at her....

Mai shook her head in panic. It couldn't... It can't... It just can't be right... She didn't know what to make of it, Damien with 500 eons of expertise in science... Impossible... Believing that None could surpass her own father's knowledge and skill in the lab. Not even with the life time of an ancient "Why... Why the hell didn't you tell me old man??" She asked in confusion, quite befuddled and peeved "I... Refuse to believe such a silly lie... This lab must belong to someone else... Now tell me... Who is the real owner of this enormous place? I don't care if they're dead... Credit should go where it deserves to go." The girl stated stubbornly, in obvious denial, even under his burning glare.

He looked at her with a saddened expression suddenly, regretful that she didn't believe him. He pointed to a picture on the wall, the old dusty photo showed a young man with a cheerful grin, dead eyes and an army of crazy and excited Beasts running amok, though, Mai couldn't see that cause It was covered In dust..
(Are ye on yer phone?)

Tony had glared at Damien as he was dunked, and proceeded to change into his wolf form and shake himself off. He had then padded off, hoping to find some source of water. He'd known what the liquid was because of its smell, and the fact he'd over heard Skylar. He was currently padding about randomly

Mai squinted at the photo, flailing her wings to blow away the coast of dust over the top to see the fading photo. She pressed her lips together and tucked her hands behind her back, glancing at all the equipment and listening to the squirms of the beasts downstairs. The similarity in the photo was to o uncanny to deny "...You..." Pain stuck her for a moment, remembering the analysis he had concluded to on her Phoenix feather. With all her will power she ignored it the best she could, trying not to think too hard about the source her father had taken it from.... Just a coincidence.... Just a coincidence... "if you're really the owner of this lab....I want to be your apprentice." Mai stated suddenly, staring at all the wondrous things in the room.
