Since our characters are all apart of the same coven would you guys like to establish character relationships? I already have a few ideas.

Thorn & Babette - They have similar personalities so I think that they’d get along. The only thing is that since Thorn was once apart of The Council Betty would hold him at arms length or hold some suspicion towards him. So maybe frenemies?

Margot & Babette - Since Margot seems to be the type of keep to herself Babette wouldn’t bother her too much simply because she doesn’t know that much about her. Though if the Junior Priestesses are being taught by the Senior Priestess, I can see them being around one another and becoming acquaintances.

Ohh sure i love that ideaa.

Yeah! Sorry-- I didn't see her until now because she wasn't in the OOC chat.
Is Thorny good to go to or?

I'm having trouble thinking of "magics" for my second character. I was going to have his power be pyrokinesis, and I can't really think of anything that fits :<

Hmm... You could give him control of another element ? Maybe light, smoke, he could even control temperatures?

[/div][/div] [div class="Name"] Riley Fischer[/div]

Nickname: N/A
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Orientation: Bisexual
Height: 5'11
Weight: 130
Features: Riley is a rather tall, spindly human, bordering on almost looking malnourished. His hair is somehow always disheveled, and the dark circles under his eyes seem permanent. He has a burn scar running up the length of his right arm, though he covers it up most of the time.
[div class="Line"][/div] Talent: Pyrokinesis
Magics: Illusion magic based off of the manipulation of smoke
Coven: The Exiles
Role: Apprentice
Likes: Being alone, windy days, being outside, naps, winning
Dislikes: Rain, authority, being told what to do
Vices: Hot-headed, standoffish, a heavy smoker
Virtues: Hard-working, determined, loyal
Fears: Losing control, both of his powers and his emotions
Familiar: His trusty Zippo lighter
[div class="Line"][/div] Personality: Riley is a troubled youth, and therefore, can be kind of hard to get close to. By default, he's prone to sticking by himself, and will hardly ever initiate a social interaction. Toward others, he's either quiet and moody, or distrusting and irritable, depending on the vibe he gets from a person. He puts up a shield around himself, not wanting to get hurt, but deep down he craves companionship. Ultimately, he pushes people away so he doesn't have the opportunity to hurt them either. His own self-worth is incredibly low, and he doesn't trust himself to stay grounded. Most of the time, Riley can be described as "a powder keg about to explode."
[div class="Line"][/div] History: Growing up in the Fischer home was a nightmare. The two Fischer parents were impoverished, unfit parents to two young boys: Riley, and his brother, Alex, who was five years his senior. Mother-dearest flew the coop one night when Riley was seven, never to be seen again. Daddy Fischer, then an unemployed drunk, was forced to get a job to be able to support his sons, but quickly became a much more tired and angry man. His frustrations were always taken out on the boys, which eventually led to Alex leaving town as soon as he turned 18, leaving 13-year-old Riley alone in this toxic household. Feeling abandoned, Riley unintentionally set the living room curtains on fire--an event that his father shrugged off as an accident, and Riley began to believe it. Life went on as normal as it could be in this particular house until just a few months ago, in which an inciting argument between father and son lead to a much bigger fire being magically lit, leaving Riley scarred and their home burnt to ashes. Fearing his father's judgement of this talent they could no longer write off as an accident, Riley skipped town, making his way to a place with people like him. His fire being heavily connected to his emotions, it can be difficult for him to control, especially considering the effects of his rough upbringing. Despite being a legal adult, he's still incredibly elementary when it comes to magic, and is therefore still considered and Apprentice.

Name: Marcus Felton

Nickname:

Age: 42

Gender: Male

Orientation: Heterosexual

Height: 6 ' 3

Weight: 197 lb

Notable features: Marcus's left eye was blinded and he has some noteable bullet wound markings on his body from his time in the military and in a PMC.

Talent (Non-magical): Protection detail, survival, combat.

Magic: N/A

Coven: Hired by Assimilators (for now)

Role: Protection/ Security.

Likes: Smoking, exercise, learning about magic, hard liquor, playing the piano

Dislikes: Shifty clients, arrogance, liars, clubs (the party kind), drug addicts.

Vices: Highly apathetic, Critical, Strict

Virtues: Patient, Highly Effecient, Reserved

Fears: Living to an old age and dying a meaningless death.

Personality: Marcus can best be described as a stoic persona. A man made of stone with a will of steel. There is little that fazes the battle hardened former soldier. He's stands as the strong pillar that holds the weight and people rely upon.

That being said, Marcus is a far cry from a saint. The man's strength is a double edged blade as he is also incredibly rigid and stiff in his beliefs. Once he has made his mind up, it'll take a miracle to make him change it. However, the man is not without reasoning. Just be prepared for a long debate if you try to challenge his world views on something.

Funny enough, he actually does enjoy philosophical debates and craves adversity. He likes it when people challenge his views because he gains insight.... if you can find someone willing and with enough free time to argue for that long.

History: Marcus is descended from an incredibly long line of military men. It can be traced back even before roman times and almost every man in his family was a soldier for the country he lived in. As it was, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree when Marcus himself enlisted as soon as he could at eighteen years of age. It was in the United States military that Marcus found a brotherhood he had never known (being an only child) and it was in the military that he knew the pain of losing a brother. During a tour in Iraq, an I.E.D took out his convoy and nearly wiped out his entire fire team... save for himself. Then the terrorists fell on them and the remnants of the company were barely able to survive the ambush. He lost an eye in the explosion and had to have 14 pieces of shrapnel along with several bullets surgically removed from his body. It was a tale everyone had heard before and only served to further prove how dangerous things really were.

Missing an eye, Marcus was obviously no longer eligible re-enlist after being honorably discharged but the young man was left feeling empty. Not only did he lose his brothers but he hadn't accomplished anything in the line of duty. His tours had been relatively quiet up until that sudden ambush. So, without saying a word, Marcus went back out and joined a PMC or Private Militarized Contractors. He became a soldier of fortune. A mercenary.

This went on roughly a decade and a half before Marcus finally came back with years of live combat experience and more wealth than he knew what to do with. His record was incredibly impressive and it earned some attention from individuals back home who wanted some good muscle for a protection detail that Marcus was all but too eager to accept.

He hopped around from job to job for several years before eventually working a job that proved to be FAR beyond his pay grade. In fact, it was so above his pay grade that he wasn't even aware he was doing it... NOR was he being paid.

He had been hypnotized/brainwashed by Exiles to arm up and wreak havoc over where the Assimilator coven had based themselves. He had killed several bystanders and injured a few witches before they finally restrained him.

To the average man, it seemed like Marcus had just lost his mind but to the witches of the coven, it was clear he had been bewitched. After he came to, he was quite literally plunged into an arcane world that he had never known existed. It was a coin toss on whether he was going to be executed or imprisoned indefinitely but the high priestess took pity on the mercenary and gave him a choice. He either worked for them and swore to secrecy or be silenced forever. One way or another.

It goes without saying which choice he made.

It has been three months since then and he has been allowed some freedom in their society.

He was allowed to make inquiries and delve deeper into the vast, magical unknown. A boon that he did not hesitate to take full advantage of.

Other: He keeps many highly detailed journals about his experiences. From his basic training in the military, to the most recent magical information he received.

His current job is to guard Margot, the Overseer of the Assimilators. She also happens to be one of the people he put a bullet into.

Camille is very interested in immortality, perhaps she could have some relationship with your character? Maybe trying to help her with her curse and figure out how it works?
