Is your relationship with your family good? Why or why not?
Absolutely. Noa's immediate family is quite close. The Moon Family immigrated to England three generations back with Great-Grandpa Moon Sang-hoon. She loves them all dearly. Her whole family lives in a rather close neighborhood in Southwest London. Typically she spends lots of her holidays with not only her Mom, dad, and little bro but also her greater extended family. Her aunt and cousins are always over since her father was always the dedicated babysitter. When Noa and Kai come home even their grandmother hops in. She does have extanded family back in Korea but due to some uncertain reasons that side of the family has had a falling out.

What values did your family teach that you follow? Why?
Her parents have always taught her to value the results of their own choices, whether positive or negative. To them, it's always been about learning the importance of sticking to what you feel is right. If things go wrong, it's a lesson. If things go right it's a reward. You can't put no effort in and expect a miracle. Everything is a result of the choices one makes. Noa has always strongly believed in this and does her best to accept the results of her decisions with little fuss.

What values did your family teach that you don’t follow? Why?
Her parents always taught her to be polite and assume the best in others. Around them she tries. Generally, she's quite bad at it. She's a kind person, generally, but she's also way too quick to get in a fight. She's never been one to be a pacifist and boy don't they know it. She's an avid supporter of punching her problems away. Sure she's a Hufflepuff through and through but she's not one to forgive and forget as many assume Hufflepuff's are.

Relations:
Moon Sang-hoon, Great-Grandpappy: It's been about seven years since her great-grandfather passed on. While she was always rather close to her Great-grandfather when she was younger the memories are a fair deal hazier now. He lived long enough to see the first occurrences of Noa's accidental magic. Often times he encouraged her own scrappy fighter tendencies even as he tried to convince her to hide her magic. (Deceased at age 70, Would be 77)

Moon Ha-Yun, Paternal Granny: The only child of Sang-hoon. She was born just before the two immigrated to England after the death of her mother. Ha-Yun was always more doting on Kai than Noa as she didn't agree with the brashness of Noa's demeanor. Even so, she always treated both grandchildren well. She did not adapted well to life in England and is the last of the Moon's to retain speaking Korean. Noa attempted to learn from her when she was young but isn't quite good at it. It also didn't help that her grandmother was half convinced her grandchildren were cursed by evil spirits and that was the source of all the oddities surrounding them. She lives at the border of London much farther than the rest of the family. (62)

Moon Seok, Father: Noa is practically her father's shadow. She adores her dad who's always encouraging her to do her best. Often time the father-daughter duo get into messes that the Mother-Son duo must clean up. Her father works as a writer and often enjoys writing fantasy about magic. Noa loves to experiment with magic and often sends her father magic letters to inspire him. He was always closest to Noa as he did his best to reassure her that she wasn't carrying around an spirits and that her Grandmother was just rather traditional (39)

Moon Yeong-Hui, Mother: Noa admires her mom greatly; She's strong, she's hardworking, and she can handle juggling the entire family's desires. Often times Noa finds herself scolded by her mother more than her father since she's the queen of the household. In many ways, she's modeled her ideals around her mother even as she has a personality closer to her father's. Often times when she spends some one on one time with her mother it's spent getting the young Noa to calm down and learn something new. (38)

Moon Kai, Younger brother: Kai is her partner in crime. Her voice of reason. One she loves and absolutely ignores. Oftentimes their own circle of friends don't intersect and only on the rare peaceful days do they both spend a weekend together and drag all their friends in with them. The two are thick as thieves when on summer and winter holidays though and make up for plenty of lost time driving each other mad. They sometimes have fights over him parroting their grandmother's fears. (13)

Choi Iseul, Maternal Aunt: Iseul has always been a busy woman on the go. She's the main breadwinner for their family, because of this and the fact that her husband also work typically Seok is the one to watch all of the kids since he's the only one capable of working from home. Iseul herself has always been quite doting on all the cousins bring back treats from her job. Even after Noa and Kai go to Hogwarts she sends them treats once a week. (36)

Choi Hana, Younger Cousin: Hana is a little terror and the elder of the twins. She's always had a fierce bite back when she finds something unfair. Unfortunately being ten she finds quite a few things unfair.When she heard that her cousins were going away for school she screeched just like a girl her age might when being told they can't go with a family member. She's eagerly awaiting a Hogwarts invitation of her own though as far as the family knows no such accidental magic has happened around her. (10)

Choi Kyung, Younger Cousin: Kyung is a shy little shit and the younger twin. He's quiet but can be merciless with his quick quips. He's absolutely terrified of Hogwarts and has no wish to go currently even though it's quite clear that Kyung has also had problems with accidental magic. Noa keeps trying to convince the little one to accept when offered as she tells him stories of greatness. (10)
Where do you feel the most at peace? Why?
Anywhere with water, specifically she likes to sit at the edge of the lake a lot. It's the most grounding place to her, since she was young she was enrolled in swimming classes with her cousins, and often times the waters remind her of her family.

Where do you feel the safest? Why?
She feels safest in the Dueling Club. Unlike many others who may feel worse being around the spell slingers den, she loves it. For one, she never gets too injured from it because there's always someone on healing duty. Second, she can practice her spellwork without worrying about the backfiring of an improper spell bouncing around or rebounding.

What type of people do you surround yourself with? Why?
Noa surrounds herself with optimistic people. She's never been one to like comforting others and can't handle someone who's a constant downer. To her, the best friends are people who you can enjoy and help distract you from your worries. She's had a fair of friends over the years that she split away from when they were too focused on the negative. In general, they remind her too much of the most stressful aspects of seeing her grandmother.

What type of people do you avoid? Why?
She also avoids people who are too preoccupied with being cool or maintaining an image. She lives for the moment, if she has fun doing it she's gonna do it. She finds people who try to get her to calm down or act more normal are the least likely to stick around, especially since she's extremely stubborn to begin with.

What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
The biggest impact in her life was in the aftermath of a fight. Her cousins had been being bullied for their hard to pronounce names. While she didn't intend to fight a bunch of kindergarteners she did want to make sure they were okay. It wasn't until she realized that the bullies had been closer to her own age than her young cousin's age did she start to get pissed. They were older siblings of the twin's classmates that had been making her baby cousin so upset. She didn't mean to but she used accidental magic and wound up knocking them back. While she was treated as a freak and the kids ran away she was fully expecting to go home to a harsh scolding. To her surprise such a scolding didn't happen. Instead, her parents dragged her to sit and had a conversation with her. She wasn't in trouble, because the victims had been harassing kids much younger than them. In fact her father congratulated her on winning.

How did it change your view?
It made her realize that some things were worth doing no matter what. She expected a scolding yet she didn't get one. Instead, she took away from this that it was important to stand up against injustice.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
From then on she vowed to learn as much magic as she could, if not for protection than for helping others. After all, if that's what she could do accidentally imagine what she could do on purpose!
What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?

What’s your happiest memory that wasn’t an impactful moment.
She remembers playing with her brother after school and crashing into her father's work desk. She knocked down all of her father's papers and pens. She started to panic when her accidental magic kicked in as everything started to clean up itself. Her dad came into her doing this and with glee asked her to do it again. They spent the whole morning just the three of them trying to get it to work again.
What’s one of your saddest memories that was or wasn’t an impactful moment.

She remembers her seeing the fear in her grandmother's eyes when she first used accidental magic in front of the woman. While her grandmother was more concerned for the young girl than anything else she didn't know that at the time. Instead, she remembers being dragged along to one of the few shrines in the area and being told to throw an offering and pull the rope. It was all very odd for the young girl and all she understood was that she was upsetting her grandmother.
Loved Activities:
- Secret Coding: She loves to do little "secret codes". In reality, she's using Arithmetic Cypering but she rarely does it well since her ciphers are so easy to break.
- Potions: Hilariously enough she's always loved the idea of being able to bottle up magic. She keeps trying to sneak out potions to her cousins and has gotten a fair deal of warnings thanks to it
- Transfiguration: She hates to see her room and things stay the same too long so she likes to practice and alter her room at the same time. Win/win!

Hated Activities:
- Attending Flying Class: She really dislikes the idea of flying on a broom. What are levitation charms then? Why bother with difficult brooms when you can literally charm something down or teleport?
-Care of Magical Creatures Class: Too many assume that Hufflepuffs only like soft classes. What a joke! Naturally, she likes animals but These Are Creatures. Dangerous! Testy! Thieving!
-Defense Against The Dark Arts: Okay for one why are some charms dark? Some are just like normal. Some normal charms are worse! She has no idea what classifies as dark or not. Actually, it seems more like defense against the purebloods, why is it so many old pureblood spells are dark? Why is this not just a defense class?

Skills (5 to 2xAge Max):
- Practical Charms: Noa practices often with Practical Charms because she ultimately thinks the best use for magic is luxury skills.
- Math! She may not be the traditional smarty pants but she's always been good with formulas.
- Swimming & Lung Capacity: Noa has definitely tried to jump in the lake multiple times. The merfolk did not appreciate her but have to give credit where credits due. This also helps her yell really loud. Since she's been swimming since she was young she rarely has problems.
- Emceeing: Whether it be for a party or an event Noa is the queen of hype! She knows how to be flashy, even if it's not always in a good way, and easily gets people into it.
- Singing: While she's certainly no professional she's got some skills behind her voice! When she was younger she would sing in harmony with her mother as she cooked. She's managed to creep out quite a few out when she starts belting out lyrics in between her spells in the Dueling club.

Is your relationship with your family good? Why or why not?
Isa’s relationship with his family is for the most part, great. However, he’s always been a bit warded off from his mother’s side of the family since the majority of her direct siblings were death eaters and punished for their crimes. As for his father’s side while they tend to hail from Italy they’re all quite close. Unlike many other pure-blood families, the Aquilo have never been one for sensibilities, and this mirrored in the family's close and encouraging mindset. Paired with their Mother's pure-blood sensibilities the family became respectable organized chaos.

What values did your family teach that you follow? Why?
His family has always taught him the importance of experimentation. First and foremost satisfying his own curiosity is on his mind. Knowledge was just another form of power. His mother specifically always made it a habit to equalize the two. As a natural Slytherin, she always wanted the best for her and her family, besides it was Adrien's intellect that drew his mother to his father. Yet another value they impressed was the nature of the purebloods. Why they always impressed that it was unsafe to voice said opinions in mixed company they made sure to teach their children that purebloods were the ones upholding their history and they had a duty to stay pure so as to not lose the oldest history to muggle culture.

What values did your family teach that you don’t follow? Why?
Despite his age he’s never quite stepped out of his parent's shadow. He’s very much his mother’s child and is just a step away from the proper pureblood that would have been accepted and welcomed a decade or two ago. Rebellion is not in his blood, he doesn’t question his parents' guidance but instead bends to it. In part because his two sides of the family are so wildly different he's always pleased one side or the other with his actions. If there was one value that hadn't been properly followed it would be the value of self-preservation. Often times Isa manages to stick his foot in his mouth and isolate himself from his peers with his rather harsh opinons.

Where do you feel the most at peace? Why?
Isa feels most at ease in the Hogwarts Newspaper Clubroom. He's calmed by the atmosphere of everyone working together to educate the public. Ink as far as the eye can see and the scritch scratch of quills to paper as the spells to mass-copy them are set up are two of the calmest sounds in the world to him.

Where do you feel the safest? Why?
Isa feels the safest in the Great Hall. The hoards of people make it easy to just sit back and observe or do some of his own experimentations. Plus often theres a whole table of teachers to deal with anything that arises.

What type of people do you surround yourself with? Why?
Isa surrounds himself with those who have a rigid mindset and are hard to anger. He's not a fan of platitudes and doesn't believe treating everyone equally exists. He does his best to explain that to his first years, often reminding them if they wish to see learning they need to acknowledge that not everyone is equal. You don't ask a potion maker to train you for quidditch so play to your strengths and cover your weaknesses.

What type of people do you avoid? Why?
He avoids those who are constantly building others up but do nothing towards their own improvement. While not all socialities bother him a great deal do, he finds the more bubbly a person the less rational they are. He himself throws himself where not wanted at times but he's far less accepting of others doing this.

What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
Isa's always been a bit of a scatterbrained kid. When he was young he always loved to test the limits and often was egged on by Gino to do the stupidest option. All three of the children were very typical Aquilo. It was rather common for them to run wild and not worry about the consequences after all the Aquilo built their manors to respond to such casual play by cleaning up after them. Isa also grew up around a rather large cast of his extended family. While his parents and siblings lived in the Verona estate, a rather separated unplottable, all of the blood wards are set up for easy floo from one estate to the other and Isa and Elda were the first to sneak away from their very formal mother's gaze to another manor to spend time with their cousins.

One early incident that happened when Isa was at his tender age of seven was a casual mistake on the blood wards due to an elder cousin trying to alter the addresses. Aquilo often mess with things far outside their scope of expertise after all. While the incident itself was not nearly as bad as it could have been Isa and his elder cousin, Floriano did slip out to muggle Italy for a period of time. Neither having interacted with muggles quite often they were both rather confused and wandered the city for hours finding themselves getting into being scammed when looking for help and after causing an incident as their irritation led to a case of underage magic.

How did it change your view?
Generally, Isa's held a slightly less favorable opinion of muggles since, which only got worse with every visit to his mother's hometown. Instead of viewing muggles being a distant people he now sees them as annoyance and a bunch of crooks. He wasn't satisfied either with the idea that these were the ones that kept expanding to the wizarding parts of his hometown. This view is specifically on the muggles, not muggle-born though.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
Isa's been very determined since to limit any interactions with muggles and hates to speak to them when forced to wander Muggle London, and the surrounding areas. He's also gained a lingering fear for being in situations where he's ill-prepared.
What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
The incident that made the second biggest impact in his life was his elder brother's return from his first year. He had a fire in his eyes and anger in his jaw for weeks. It wasn't until a week later where he got his brother to talk about it and when he learned just how far out of favor the Slytherins had fallen since his mother's time. After that the family had a big sitdown where their mother spoke frankly about her own experiences in Slytherin and how the group had never quite been favored but how Slytherins were strong of mind and more resilient than any would ever know.

How did it change your view?
He found himself shocked at the revelation and that the system was so divisive. He always understood house pride and would wish a thousand times to get into his mother's house but he never once thought about what that meant from the outside. He suddenly found himself disillusioned with the adults of Hogwarts in the past and now.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
It gave Isa an even greater resolve to enter Hogwarts, he would never want his brother dealing with that all alone. He also grew to have quite an attitude to the authority of Hogwarts.
What moment made the Third biggest impact in your life?
His own sorting ceremony was a dreadful shock to him. Despite being pure-blood Isa didn't quite know what to expect when he went into schooling in Hogwarts. Sure his elder brother could give his experience as could their mother, yet both wound up being far from his experience. While Gino would wind up being a Slytherin much like his mother, the young Isa who'd been effectively separated from his heritage in two ways. He wasn't a Slytherin like his mom, nor did he decide to attend Beauboxen like his paternal family. While at the sorting ceremony he was not a quick decision he was also not quite a hatstall. Realistically he would have preferred to be in his mother's house but the hat deemed him far too ambivalent about the future to be in a house dedicated to self-improvement. In reality, he almost got sorted into Hufflepuff and is still rather sore about that having only his mother's biased opinion on them. Still, he's always thought it was better than Gryffindor.

How did it change your view?
He looked internally for quite a while worried about just what made him so different from the rest of his family feeling like quite the outsider until he owlled home and received a letter from his mother. In the letter she explained that any self-respecting wizard would look at him and see the spitting image of his father, a natural Ravenclaw, and for that he should be proud. He cried for a week. He also decided to keep it quiet that he almost got given Hufflepuff.

Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
Isa decided that if he was going to be stuck disconnected to his heritages then he was going to do his damn best as a Ravenclaw. While he had plenty of drive it usually found its way in odd ways and looked like he was chasing air. Because of this goal of his he ironically got labeled Ravenclaws laziest pureblood by many students.
What’s your happiest memory that wasn’t an impactful moment.
My happiest memory? Probably when me and Gino were like nine and ten. Mom always spoke very highly about Hogwarts. Me and Gino were gonna go to Beauxbatons like Elda and the rest of our family. I saw some of the cheerful photos mom had of her childhood and I looked at her and said "I'm going to be a Slytherin". It was the first time I saw mom cry, I thought I made her sad. In reality she was grateful that I wanted to still honor her family even as her relatives were on trial for being Death eaters. It really made her happy which made me happy.
What’s one of your saddest memories that was or wasn’t an impactful moment.
I think the saddest memory I have was Elda deciding she didn't want anything to do with Hogwarts. She couldn't handle Gino's scuffles at later years and when it came time for her to pick she cried her eyes out and said she hated Hogwarts. I don't blame her really, she's not really wrong. Still, that meant we weren't seeing Elda for years outside of holidays.

Despite their good relationship the two do clash at times, both over her gift and over the fact that Fia always seems to find herself getting into places she doesn't belong. Fia's streak of trouble tends to make her mother scold her but at the same time seems to be realizing that scolding the girl seems to do little to squash her terrible curiosity.

Eisen (Father, 38) Ministry Unspeakable: Fia's relationship with her father is as good as with her mother if not better. He has always taken a deep interest in what Fia gets into and in a way is the source of Fia's tendency towards the morbid and odd. Her father is a leading figure in Ghoul studies and often sends Fia his findings and reports when they are available for the public, thus leading her to go deep into the rabbit hole he created for her. Though despite this he tries to steer Fia away from dangerous situations and manages to do it decently well.
Where do you feel the most at peace? Why?
Bundled up in warm clothing and laying in a field of snowing. The serene nature of it all makes me feel great.

When I am alone, where I cant feel out the energy of the room and read how people around me are feeling. Being devoid of that sense makes me feel incomplete and so very alone. Like a ant away from its colony.

"I don't really mind who is around me. I have my ideals and feelings and I normally cant be turned from them. So in the end I guess anyone that doesn't treat me like a piece of crap is an okay person in my book even if they tend to be less that savory towards others."

"Those that don't understand that it is difficult to keep from skimming people's surface thoughts. It is controllable but like the five senses, it happens without a lot of thought. Other than those people that tend to look down on anyone simply due to how they fit into the wizarding world. Everyone should have the means to go about their life as they see fit. Just because I like weird stuff doesn't mean I am some lepper."

What moment made the biggest impact in your life?
"The biggest impact on my life will have to be when my father started including me on his public expeditions during the summer and holidays away from school. The first of which was just rudimentary but it left such a big impact on what I want to do with my life. Seeking out the weird things in the world and trying to find a way to rationally make sense of them, study them, and figure out how they tick. The undead of our world are truly odd and apart from almost everything else and that first encounter both shook me to the core and also exhilarated me in ways that I cant even begin to say."

"Seeing the things that go bump in the night made me obsessed with them. Some people quiver and shake in the face of the unknown but I find exhilaration and curiosity the likes of which I feel nowhere else spike in those situations. I want nothing more that to stalk out and study these oddities."

"Definitely gave me alot of goals, to follow in my father's footsteps and make a place for myself in the wizarding world as an expert on ghoul studies and the studies of the morbid curiosities of our wizarding world. In a way it also hinders me a good bit as I find myself stumbling into situations I should really not be getting into, but when I see a good mystery or way to learn more I just can't stop myself."

So in a way he still manages to manipulate her but she manages to keep out of his reach the best she can. Her father knows what all Delynn is capable of and tries tirelessly to convert her to the darker path.

Daria Maevin - Pure Blood Veela
Delynn's relationship with her mother is about as strong as it could be. The two of them share many of their ideas, likes, and the things they enjoy. They can often be mistaken for one another though her mother is an inch or two taller. They seem to almost be spitting images of one another and can easily be confused for the other. Though Daria tends to be more withdrawn from the magical world that Delynn who more often than not finds herself at the forefront of whatever is occurring in both Slytherin and the school itself.

Hilda Watts, Mother - Renley's mother, although she doesn't know yet Hilda is actually her adoptive mother and aunt who is a squib, whom she adores a lot. The woman is very sweet and is as normal as can be. You could say that her daughter's rather chaotic nature was her doing from all the fantastical stories she told little Renley who only got more excited when she learned that she can do magic. (49)
Marcus Watts, Father - Her father, married Hilda twenty-two years ago and knows about the Wizarding World through his wife, he never really expected to take care of a wizard and was skeptical at first but he learned to love Renley just as much and is rather extra protective of her because of the added danger of magic being tossed around at school. Rena Watts, Older Sister - She's pretty cool in Renley's eyes, with her great techy mind that Renley has a hard time figuring out. Rena knows about her younger sister being adopted but has kept her mouth shut as her parents requested. Everything? That the world isn't some dull gray-scaled place. I felt myself, and I felt complete. It wasn't because I find the non-magical world to be boring but even as a kid I always felt like something was missing, and I think this is it... Magic.

A lot, chess is definitely more exciting, flying and quidditch are amazing! There are aspects of magic that I don't like of course, as it is also pretty dangerous. As for goals, I want to be a professional quidditch player or something just as awesome, a Magizoologist!
What moment made the Second biggest impact in your life?
In my fifth year, I befriended this really beautiful and intelligent wolf. I met him during one of my detention in the Forbidden Forest, I was in awe but I also thought that I was in danger and wanted to run but couldn't move. Then he came closer and nudged my hand with his nose. My heart melted, and I tried guessing his name the whole evening. He was named Wyl, and I think we were both glad to have met each other.
How did it change your view?
Nothing is as it seems? I read about how there are wolves that were born from two werewolves. I find it kind of sad, to be honest, I read about how werewolves were treated... It's not like it's their fault. It also makes me wonder what it's like to be a werewolf, at first I just scoffed it off as something interesting and cool but now, maybe not so much.
Did it give you any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals.
In a way, I'm leaning more toward taking a profession pertaining to magical creatures. Understand them, and maybe show that to the world. It's somewhat noble than what I expected of myself but I think I might as well think about that a lot.

When my little brother was born, I've never been so excited, so happy to see this small blob of flesh that I get to call my brother, that I get to be a big sister and boss him around.

I found my mother's diary... Just before school started. And in it was an entry about her family. The people she never talked about and I found out that her sister can do magic. It said in the entry that she suddenly showed up, out of the blue, disheveled, like life was taken away from her and that this woman gave her a child, mother said that the child looked like an angel... I didn't read any further than that. I don't want to.

How are you perceived by your Students?
Rory is rather casual when interacting with others, especially his students. He likes to add a bit of his own adventures during class, encouraging students to try on new things that they find interesting. He often gives off an energized energy, and that is something he wants to portray to his students. The kids find him easily approachable with his warm eyes and cool smile. Rory is willing to help students even when it's not about his own subject, and while he tries to treat every student fairly he is a bit biased towards the Gryffindors since he knows those twerps best being from his own house, after all.
How are you perceived by your Fellow Teachers?
Much like the aforementioned, Rory acts as he is comfortable with among his fellow colleagues, although more on the professional side. He likes to converse with them about how their days went by if they'd let him, and maybe make some horrible joke at the end of the day. He's rather more laid back than most professors, and they are often quite disapproving of how quick he is to give away plus points to his students.

Is your relationship with your family good? Why or why not?
I don't really want to talk about my family. They're not bad people, but I don't think it's anyone else's business but mine how I get on with my parents.

...Well, if you insist on knowing, my father has always been immensely supportive of my projects. Not any of the rulebreaking, but that hasn't been getting back to him recently. Won't be getting back to him anytime soon, either. My mother, The Miranda Paisley, Chaser for the Montrose Magpies, is entirely too busy with her fame to keep up with what I've been doing. Neither of them have a clue about the workings of Muggle tech, but they're better than most wizards -- not like those still living in the Dark Ages with their old-fashioned ideas about 'blood purity.'

We're not very close with any of my extended relatives.

What values did your family teach that you follow? Why?
Firstly, that old cliché: 'Stay true to yourself.' My father spent all of his youth working in Wizengamot -- apparently it was what my grandfather wanted. Then the collusion scandals happened and he had to testify against his superiors and the rest of the Lees. It shouldn't have come as a surprise to him, given that most of my family then were actual Death Eaters. I still have no clue why a group of wealthy Hong Kong transplants would decide to run around with Voldemort, but that was that.

Given such a history, you should know why I don't really give a care for any titles of authority around here. I'll give my respect only to those who prove themselves worthy of it. As for those who judge me as 'strange' or a 'blood traitor,' well... we'll see how the scales tilt in a decade or two. I personally believe we're heading for a world where Muggle and wizarding society may not be so different. Or at least, I'd like to make it that way.

Secondly: 'Harbor no prejudice.' I think the why of that should be self-evident.

Less a value, but more a cautionary proverb: 'Pride comes before a fall.'

Given the number of times my mother has encouraged me to pick up flying and the number of times my father has told me to humor her, neither of them really give a care about me falling. And what does pride have to do with anything anyway?

Lee Kwan (36), father - After quitting his job at Wizengamot, he began pursuing his old career interest in the trade of rare potion ingredients from the Far East. He started his company in Muggle herbal medicine after returning to Hong Kong with Renard because he wanted to lay low for a while. While Renard had never been particularly close with Kwan as a young child, the two of them could only rely on each other during this time. Masquerading as Muggles was a learning experience for both of them, and they grew to have a more equal relationship than most fathers have with their sons. Renard is keenly aware of his father's weaknesses, but also respects him for his dedication to the art of potions. They often spend their afternoons each working in their own respective laboratories and occasionally sharing tea breaks.

Miranda Paisley (38), mother - She sends presents and letters when she can, but she is not very physically present in Renard's family life. Continued with her career when Kwan and Renard went to Hong Kong and had some trouble with the Muggle postal system, so messages were rare then. After Kwan and Renard returned to the UK, the situation improved, but her relationship with Renard is somewhat strained. Although she is cheery and affectionate, she is a bit scatter-brained and not very detail-oriented. Renard often feels that she doesn't really pay attention to him even when they are spending time together, and this is exacerbated by her pushiness about getting him into Quidditch.

Yu Ta (24), friend - Former Muggle servant to the Lee family. The Lees and the Yus' relationship go back for centuries; the story goes that an ancestor of the Yus made a magical pact with an ancestor of the Lees for a favor, binding all descendants bearing the Yu name to the Lees in servitude. However, the strength of this pact seems to have decreased with every generation, and the pact no longer holds power in the present-day. While the Yus were let go upon Patriarch Lee's arrest, Renard and Kwan were able to reconnect with them in Hong Kong by chance. Yu Ta maintained a professional distance from Renard while serving, but after their reunion, they became pen pals. Yu Ta currently works as a software engineer in Hong Kong, and Renard treats him as a friend and a mentor.

Yu Mui (59), acquaintance - Former Muggle servant to the Lee family, mother of Yu Ta. Renard has a fondness and a respect for her since she took care of him as a child, but they don't have a deeper relationship beyond the occasional polite visit when Renard and his father are in Hong Kong.

Extended family on his father's side - This includes his grandfather, grandmother, uncle, and aunt. Renard lived with them up to the age of seven, before the fall of Voldemort. He was too young to have any idea of their Death Eater activities. In his vague recollections, his grandmother spent the most time with him and spoiled him rotten whilst keeping him out of the way of the men in the family. His grandmother is currently deceased, while his grandfather and uncle are serving life sentences in Azkaban. His aunt's current fate is unknown.

Extended family on his mother's side - Has never met them. From what he knows, they cut contact after his parents got together out of strong disapproval for the match.

Where does he feel the most at peace? Why?
Renard feels the most at peace among his gadgets. To him, home is where the lab is. The clutter gives him comfort, and the whirring and clicking of machinery makes him feel less alone, in a way that human chatter doesn't.

Where does he feel the safest? Why?
He sees all places as being equally safe. That is -- not at all, potentially. His family has moved a lot over the years, and personal and objective history has long disillusioned him from notions of the sanctity of any one place.

What type of people does he surround himself with? Why?
Renard surrounds himself with people who are intelligent, but not arrogant. He doesn't like being antagonized on what he perceives to be his own strong suits. Being someone with unusual interests for a wizard, he finds that he is more compatible with those who are open-minded. He seeks out people who he can talk to about his projects, and who can offer interesting insights in return.

What type of people does he avoid? Why?
He avoids people who like to solve their problems with violence. People who are too friendly and not very aware of personal boundaries make him uncomfortable. Renard also distances himself from people who lack ambition and/or enthusiasm, since he finds that they put a damper on his own drive to create.

What moment made the biggest impact in his life?
His eighth birthday, the first birthday he celebrated in Hong Kong without the rest of the Lees. His father told him the truth about their move, and about their family's affiliation with Death Eaters, as well as about his grandmother's death.

How did it change his view?
It was the worst birthday of his life. Before, he had not known the full extent of the truth even though he held a fear of his grandfather, his uncle, and the company they kept. The conversation left him with a sense of guilt that he carries with him even now.

Did it give him any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals?
That was what planted the seed of his disdain for the Death Eaters' ideology.

What moment made the second biggest impact in his life?
Renard was ten. He and his father had returned to the UK and resumed their lives as a part of the wizarding community after the Death Eater trials had concluded. However, his father did not imagine that unrest would return. His aunt-in-law, long seeking revenge for her husband's imprisonment, managed to find their home. There was a terrible verbal confrontation, but ultimately his aunt-in-law was unable to bring herself to do them any harm. The encounter revealed new information about their family history, the main points being:
1) Renard's grandfather had merely supplied Death Eaters with any dark artifacts and supplies that they required using his trading connections. Renard's uncle, Lee Pang, was more involved, but neither of them were formally brought into the fold or given the Dark Mark. They held an outsider status even as pure-blooded wizards.
2) Renard's grandfather had cast the Imperius curse on Lee Pang a week before the fall of Voldemort. He used this as a way to proclaim his son's innocence, and it did seem to work, at least until:
3) Pang, bitter and betrayed, attacked Kwan and injured him for testifying at their father's trial. The Ministry was still suspicious of Pang and had been keeping an eye on him; this incident was enough for a reinvestigation and a subsequent indictment.

How did it change his view?
Renard gained a more nuanced perspective on his family's role in the Second Wizarding War and their experience after they resettled in the UK. This information seemed to humanize his grandfather and his uncle.

Did it give him any lasting change in likes, dislikes, fears, or goals?
By this time, Renard had grown cognizant of the shame he felt. As he grew older, he realized that even if Death Eater ideology was vile, he would honor his family's sense of ambition and resolution. In themselves, those were not bad qualities to have. He would rewrite their history. As a result, when Renard entered Hogwarts, he chose to be sorted into Slytherin even though the Sorting Hat could have just as easily placed him in Ravenclaw.

What’s his happiest memory that wasn’t an impactful moment?
Watching bootlegged Doraemon with the kid in the apartment next door. The DVD player was the hot new thing for Muggles, and Renard, who had never had any contact with Muggle digital entertainment before then, was immediately entranced. The transition to a life in a new place without the use of magic had been hard, but this new pasttime brought him solace, especially on schoolday afternoons when his father was still at work. That was the beginning of his fascination with Muggle technology.

What’s one of his saddest memories that was or wasn’t an impactful moment?
Definitely his eighth birthday. His grandmother had been his closest family member until then, and he didn't even have the chance to say goodbye to her. Finding out about her death from his father had been painful.

Well, they've told me to judge people by their character and their conscious actions, not by the clothes they wear. And hey, no need to tell me twice.

-Oh, I've just remembered a funny story about that. This happened a while back, when Rufus Scrimgeour was in office. My sister spent a year undercover with these wizards she thought were Death Eaters. Highly credible tip according to the higher-ups. She had a fake name, a disguise, the works. Then it turns out they were just really into Muggle tattoos, but there was a lot of stigma around that, in both Muggle and wizarding communities. What did they call themselves, the I.N.K.W.O.R.K. Society? She was in for a shock when she found out the truth! It was a waste of a year. She was hopping mad, she was. Haha.

Oh, sorry, went off-topic there. Where were we? Right, what values my family has taught me.

They've also taught me to be brave, righteous, chivalrous... To resist evil and to protect the weak, no matter how hard the battle gets -- and I intend to honor that until I breathe my last. You probably think it's silly, me, a student saying morbid things like that during peacetime. I want to tell you this in private though. You know how the students here choose their houses? They choose what they value... and you know, things like ambition and cunning, intelligence and wit? What do they hold compared to chivalry? To justice? I can't help but think egotism lies at the heart of it. But these house conflicts don't feel good, and I want to be fair. You know?

The food at Hogwarts is...*chef's kiss*. Sometimes, there isn't enough room in my stomach for the green, vegetal stuff -- you know how it is. I try though, since it's supposed to be healthy and all. It's just... the meats and the sweets are so enticing. But, as a prefect, I say that everybody should try to get a least two servings of vegetables a day. It probably helps with the brain and the studies and Merlin knows how hard Potions is. We need all the help we can get.

As for the part about not being reckless -- I'm never reckless, I just do what needs to be done.

Relations:
Chesley Applethorn (58), father - Works a desk job at Gringott's. Stern-looking and not very talkative, works more with his hands. Has a gardening hobby that he shares with the rest of the family, even though none of his children seem to have a knack for it. Was the Seeker for the Gryffindor Quidditch team during his time at Hogwarts and taught all of his children how to fly. Cooks most of the meals -- acts of service is his love language.

Mabel Applethorn (57), mother - Healer at St. Mungo's. Normally, she is very gentle and softspoken, but her steely nerves and leadership qualities shine through when there is discord in the household or a threat to the family's safety. She is very busy with her job, but when she is home, she spoils Adam as her youngest.

Camellia Applethorn (37), sister - Older sister by ten years. An Auror and a Gryffindor. Contracted lycanthropy ten years ago after being bitten by a werewolf from the Snatchers. The no-nonsense one of the family. She fell into despair for a time because of what happened to her, but managed to pick herself with the support of her loved ones. She is a little awkward in her interactions with Adam given their age difference, and has the tendency to mom him. Adam sees her as an inspiration.

Barnaby Applethorn (deceased), brother - Older brother by nine years. An Auror and a Gryffindor. Died ten years ago when the Ministry of Magic was under Voldemort's control. Because Adam was so young then, he has trouble remembering how Barnaby looked when he was alive. From what Adam can recall, however, Barnaby doted on him and he admired Barnaby in turn.

Lambert Berry (38), maybe brother-in-law - A Muggleborn wizard and healer at St. Mungo's. Has been Camellia's fiance for about a decade, and her boyfriend for longer. Lives in the family home and is a de facto son-in-law to Mr. and Mrs. Applethorn. He has been like another older brother to Adam, and often takes him on outdoors outings (e.g. fishing, hiking, camping) the Muggle way. A great help to the Applethorn family.

Prunella Cook (42), maternal aunt - Owns a haute couture, Muggle-fashion-inspired clothing shop in Diagon Alley, "Cook's Devilicious Satins." Adam feels most at peace flying alone over the Quidditch pitch after practice has begun to wrap up. During such moments, he is able to withdraw into his own thoughts without having to put on a cheerful face for others, while still having the comforting sight of his teammates below him.

He feels safest in the Gryffindor common room. Hogwarts as a whole feels like a sanctuary to him, with its magical protections and body of both magically talented professors and students. The Gryffindor common room in particular, however, is a place where he can relax among kindred spirits without having to worry about the other houses and interhouse conflict.

Adam surrounds himself with any who reciprocate his friendliness and possess values that align with his. He aims for a wide network of people with a variety of talents because he subscribes to the idea of mutually beneficial friendships.

Adam doesn't avoid anyone, not in the obvious way. However, he is put off by people who value themselves over the welfare of the community. + Archery: Despite not looking it, he's been doing Archery since he was 6. It's a Muggle sport activity that his father got him interested in whenever they left the Wizard World to stay out in the Muggle World for a smidge of time during the summer. "Helped build some exposure", is what his father told him.

- Quidditch: For reasons unclear, he's never cared for flying or Quidditch. Using brooms to fly in general has never really been something that really interested Kyung. Common belief is he's terrified of heights.

Finds them to be quite interesting to be honest, but due to a level of social pressures that friends of his mother's family seem to like to project on to anyone they know, he doesn't walk around in the public with earphones on listening to any bands.

I have only ever truly known my mother's family, and only know my father's family by what he and my grandmother allowed me to meet. Which, strictly speaking, consist of his two younger siblings- my aunt and uncle- their families which consist of two kids for my aunt and one son for my uncle, he had two- but we don't speak to the second one anymore. Aside from the extended family on my mother's side and the small fraction I know of my father's, the rest of his family do not exist.

And from what I understand, the big fat hint is to keep it that way.

What values did your family teach that you follow? Why?
"Never let others define who you are, take heed their words but never let them control your life." My Nana said this to me back when it was still being tossed around whether I was going to be joining my older sister in Hogwarts or my older brother in Darmstong. I didn't get why she told me that, found out later it was because of all the tomfoolery going on lately. That was one thing.

The other important thing I picked up naturally is that when you find a person, people, a group that makes you feel at home, never give that up. Hold on to it. Cherish it. And always watch out for chances when they might fall. Because if you help them, they may just help you.

And the third thing I learned as a child, is comedy can be a good distraction. But the most important thing I like to keep in mind, is that old saying in the family.

The way my father uses it is better. "You aren't of Tainted Blood, if you don't defile the good that made you whole to begin with."

I'll never understand why so many of my father's family put so much value in blood purity back in the day. I know I said I don't know much about them, but that was a bit of a fib, haha! I know a pinch, just not everything. I know for a fact they placed a value on blood purity highly. So much so...things got weird.

But that's a rather depressing topic to bring up and thank heavens my father was never raised to be like them.

Ironically, my mother's a pureblood- my dad is a half-blood because Nana is a half-blood, and neither of them subscribe to that ideology.

There's also that whole bit about murdering traitors to the family and stuff- you know, villain monologue kinda deal.

Quite boring lessons really. But, not every chapter is a winner.

Where do you feel the most at peace? Why?
I am at peace in activity, for it tells me I am surrounded by things that which deserve my attention. The noise of a moving crowd can be cathartic, the babble of classmates reassuring for it tells me I am in the presence of others. Knowing my environment is active, is a comfort. For it tells me that as long as I keep my ears up and eyes open, there is little that will escape me.

Where do you feel the safest? Why?
The darkness in silence. When I feel unease, I sit alone in the dark. For the darkness was the comfort that helped save mine siblings lives and my own when we were chased down by those that wished us harm. It was a security when my cousins would visit from the wizarding world back in the times when I had once attended Muggle education, and it was my blanket of camouflage that made us invisible to the jerks my cousins and I would prank whenever they visited.

What type of people do you surround yourself with? Why?
I am a person who cares deeply for the company I walk with. For a fish alone in the ocean is destined to be dined on by prey. I believe I am flexible, but I find those who have humor, fear not to speak their mind, or have a sense of cleverness are the sort I tend to prowl the halls with more so than not. Of course I have no issues with the company of those less capable in certain academics, I rather like individuals who have a fiery side to them.

What type of people do you avoid? Why?
I would not say avoid. A tactical retreat fits better. I have no interest in the bigotry of the past and those that share its views are not worth my time.

Who are your friends currently? How did you meet and how long ago was this?
Fareed: A close friend since meeting on the train. Although bein a Hufflepuff, both Fareed and Kyung hang out frequently when able.
Meeting Fareed, a Hufflepuff I might add, was like meeting a brother I never knew I had but was destined to meet. First year, first friend, even though we were in different Houses the guy stuck to me like glue the moment we started talking on the train ride over. We've been friends ever since, he's been my back up in almost everything and I his wingman, he is my best friend in the world. Truly, I am honored to have met him.

Imagine running. Gasping for breathe as you do. You are running through the woods and your feet are aching from the exertion as your sister drags you ever forward away from the house and the noises and the magical bolts flying in the air. It's chaos back there but you are running. Running where? No clue. All we have to do is run.

Wetting yourself at six in the morning in a cold winter night at 4 a.m. is a uncomfortable situation when you are just a seven year old kid. But that was the situation I found myself in, the day I watched hooded figures invade the home of my grandparents summer home in Manchester. It was a jarring situation to be dragged out of bed by my sister than taken on a run. Separated from the adults, running on short little legs as cloaks on brooms flew after us. I was terrified, we all were.

And the worst thing about it was that the very people that attacked my family that night, appearing out of nowhere less than a year after the Dark Lord's defeat, some of them were part of my family. The part dad didn't like talking about.

Skinny to the point of being unhealthy, Flame is quite a sight to see. Flame is 5'9". Their legs are much longer than their torso, to the point that their ribs can grind against their pelvis should they lean too far to either side. Many, seemingly-random scars from accumulated bird bites, ranging from bird of prey to small songbirds that got irritated. Their hair is short and feathered; a solid mix of fine and thick strands. Very, very thick, to the point of being ridiculous to try and thin it out. Dark red (see; dragon form's main scale color). Now, their eyes are the most notable thing about their whole appearance. They're gold-brown, turning a bright gold in light environments and dipping to an almost-black when their pupils are dilated (distribution of melanin is much closer) together). When stressed, the pupil may switch to a slit (though that doesn't tend to help).
They may also grow fangs or small, random draconic traits if they're pushed over the edge of "anxious" to "STRESSED".
Flame's identifying mark is a tricolored "tattoo" that they don't know the origin of.

Jet is thin, though lined with muscle. He has a dancer's body and definitely uses it as such, specializing primarily in pole-dancing due to his wings and flexibility. He's 7'6" and his wings are breaching 30 tip-to-tip. He's mostly found wearing a blazer under his robes, and under that is a cropped tank-top he uses for exercise (it looks like a bra, but he couldn't care less, so long as it doesn't fly into his face). He doesn't have much specificity for pants, though they're almost always some form of dress-pants.

The moment he can, Jet usually sheds the robe, hating its very existence with the passion of one of his lightning spells.

Background:
A year and a half before getting accepted into Hogwarts, a terrible event happened. The details are fuzzy for Jaqueline, but she had a run-in with something that caused her to lose her memory while she was in an altered state, learning to use her ability as a Metamorphmagus. Being thrown into a temporary coma, by the time she woke up, she no longer remembered details of her past. It turned out that whoever was her family or caretakers lost her as well, so she had no reference to turn to. Unable to know who she was prior, appearance, or name, she had to come up with her own identity. She struggled hard in the years to come, and even yet fills the void of not knowing her true self by filling her life with friends. The friends she makes, she ends up considering her 'family.'
