Faust Windfallow || Ragna's Workshop || Interacting with Ragna ( Reinhardt Reinhardt )
Faust followed the homoncu-maids, expecting them to lead him straight to where he needed to go. And as all logic would have it, they indeed brought him to Ragna. There, Faust caught sight of a huge stack of adamantite bars, too many for Faust to be able to use up anytime soon. "Don't know about you, but that doesn't look like twelve bars to me. Shit service." Faust joked, inspecting the immense stack of metal bars. Following the homoncu-maids, Faust stopped in front of the coffin which the maids placed next to the stack of adamantite.

"Alright, I'll just open this." He informed Ragna, as he attempted to remove the chains. Much to Faust's inconvenience. breaking metal chains that are tying an extremely heavy coffin was easier said than done. Sighing, Faust muttered an incantation, and a thin layer of ice crept up the chains. He then snapped his fingers, and the ice, along with the chains shattered. Then, Faust pulled the lid of the coffin over, falling on the floor with a huge bang. Then, he retrieved the figure that was stored inside.

What he brought out next would very likely be mistaken for a corpse. He laid the figure down on the floor. With closer inspection, one would tell that it the girl was not human- her limbs were clearly segmented from the torso. Her skin was metallic, and her white was clearly synthetic. Faust then two blueprints stored alongside in the coffin and placing it next to the doll. "This thing," Faust informed Ragna, "is the payment I was talking about. It's an automaton that was going around and dicing and mincing people couple of decades ago. It's been a while so my memory's a bit fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure I recharged its mana-battery before I put it away. Forgot how to turn it on though. Pretty sure there's a compartment in its chest." Next, Faust pointed to the two blueprints. "The doll's like, a puppeteer sort of thing. Those are the blueprints for its marionette-golem things."

Bianca's attack barely missed, making it look as if the necrobot has carefully predicted it.

"Tch.", she said.

It would seem that she had underestimated the capability of this atrocious creature. And that just cost her a chance of ending this fight quickly. Her enemy immediately designated her a dangerous and began to flee, climbing to the roof of a building and preparing for an escape.

Fortunately, Soren, the stranger from before, acted on his own volition and attempted to bring the creature back down, as well as clear out a few of the necrobot's creations.

As the freshly resurrected zombies rose up and charged at Bianca, she evaded their attacks with ease and cut them down, one after another. It didn't take a while until the street was riddled with minced corpses and sliced up bones. Bianca returned her gaze back to Soren and the necrobot, as well as their location. Getting there wouldn't be difficult, but it will take time.

"Get its legs!", she shouted to Soren. "Prevent it from moving!"

Bianca, then, ran off, searching for a way up there. Hopefully, she'd reach there in a short time as expected.

The necrobot turned just in time to see Soren cutting the scimitar into its chest. Although the texture of its upper body was fleshy, no blood seeped from the unnaturally dry wound. The attack gave the necrobot pause, but not enough to disable it. It also had too little force to knock it down, because its grasp on the wall was stronger than that.

Soren jumped down and thrust the scimitar into a zombie. The necrobot stood on the ledge of the rooftop and turned to look at the situation. There was a large, black-red line staining its chest and revealing dry, rotting flesh beneath. "Interesting... an ambush?" it queried.

Ambushes were the ultimate strategy; an enemy can't respond to an attack he doesn't have any data about. Soren and Bianca earned the necrobot's begrudging respect. "But that won't help you. Still, you will perish as befit of a weaker form of creature."

It dug two of its seven active legs into the edge of the rooftop, then pushed with them. Cracks appeared in the stones, then a click sound rang throughout the building. A part of the wall disconnected and came crashing down upon the two heroes. The necrobot took three or four safe steps back, then crouched down and jumped to another rooftop on the neighboring street, hoping to make its getaway.

"Quit being such a spoil-sport and let me have my fun! Chances are we're all going to die, for real, when Turenval accidently cracks his wrist a little too hard, so might as well make the most of it, ay?" Elizabeth grinned at him, taking on a jovial temperament rather than her usual motherly attitude, but never-the-less, ended the continuous flow of water from her hand, stepped over and picked up the skull that had since had all the dirt on its surface blasted off of it. "I digress, I suppose I'll let you apply your logic to my madness." Elizabeth joked "... And don't make light of my abilities. I'm not as powerful as you, of course, but I'm not on the level of a mere mortal." she hummed as she walked back over to him, making sure to stand a little too close for comfort.

"I am fine on the energy front, although I did have to walk the whole way here. Faust gave me a talisman to keep me from collapsing from the cursed holy barrier someone set up, so for as long as that lasts, I should be fine." the explanation went, Elizabeth's words ringing out into the open air with a wonderful fluctuation of tones and emphasis, as though she were a trained speaker, which would make sense given that she had built up a business from scratch, and was more than capable of talking her way out of situations. "My experiences you ask? You don't need to bargain to hear about those!" the younger vampire giggled to her old friend "I've simply been building up my hotel business! Inns all over the world at this point, all though it's been in dire straits since Turenval has made his return. I've shut the business down temporarily as the lack of tourists has been harming my income, and it would simply hurt it more to keep them open. How's the guild been treating you? Met any other lady-vampires I should know about?" Lady Cain teased as she tilted her head with a knowing-grin, her glittering red ruby of a single revealed eye met his in an expression of genuine joy

It was progress, at least. Bem may still have a dislike for magic, but at the very least she no longer thought of its practitioners as demon-lovers. It would be silly to expect her to go from hatred to appreciation overnight. If nothing else, she was taking steps in the right direction to dial it back. Drui, for her part, seemed to be showing interest in helping Bem adjust to human norms. That was likely a good thing. Maybe a feminine touch would get through better than two male mages trying to get a point across.

"No one is saying you need to like magic. There are plenty of people in this world who don't." Kit remarked with a shrug of his shoulders as he, too, stood up fully. "If you want to learn to read, I'm sure Drui would be happy to teach you, or I could, if you prefer." Kit offered. He recalled his own reading lessons, when Valkyrie would sit with him reading every night after training. Good times. Mary would sometimes read to him as well, but her choice of books were less like the whimsical fantasies Valkyrie chose and more like something from the Brothers Grimm.

For now, at least, things were settling down...

Veth continued to warily approach the tree, up until the strange phenomenon began and she paused, her hand automatically reaching for her blade to be prepared if this was a threat to her person. The strange blue glow and creaking wood emanating from the Great Tree was awe-inspiring. When the voice first spoke to her, she glanced around trying to determine the origin, but finding none. It was as though it was everywhere. She wondered if Cyrus heard it as well.

"This one's name is Veth, she has come to seek passage to the Feywild. This one does not represent her Lecethian kin, she has come for the Guild of Heroes and the Wizard Cyrus." She paused for a moment, she also was here for herself as well. This was a chance to ask so many questions regarding her clan's lore and hopefully gain answers about herself. After a moment of hesitation she spoke again, "And for herself, to ask questions."[/div][/div][/div]

Drui tilted her head slightly to the side - away from Ellis's face - as Bem mentioned how her bee-race was considered too affectionate compared to"her people." She wasn't familiar with whatever race Bem was, so she'd have to inquire what exactly they did. Based on her words now and Ki'Tavi's own and that moment in that tree one time, Drui deduced that what was normal for Bem was definitely along the lines of romantic intimacy. This would take some work to explain to the girl if she could be bothered and calm enough to listen.

To make Drui pity her even more, she couldn't read! She released her grasp from Ellis and crossed her arms over her chest as she looked over Bem more closely. Where to even begin to help the girl? "I can teach you to read, it's not that complicated and I think reading will be of great help to expand your understand of the wide wondrous world. If you don't want to team up with Ellis, that's fine."

Drui gave Ellis a playful hip bump when he apologized, giving him a bright smile and a wink as if to encourage him and tell him it was good of him to also apologize. "Now then, Bem if you want to-"

She was interrupted by the sound of the guild seals flaring to life with an urgent request for reinforcements. "Perhaps next time, it seems there is a guild member in need." Drui latched onto Ellis once again, whether is was because she expected him to go or to keep him from fleeing at the call for assistance. "Let's get going," she said a bit cheerfully, not seeming outwardly bothered by the fact there was a Death Knight involved or a dungeon. Of course Drui had her concerns, but why make others nervous with personal fears? Her smile may not have reached her eyes, but she was going to at least put on a brave face. [/div][/div][/div]

Fable Fable
"The Feywild; not an Outer Plane. Not a part of the Astral Sea, but connected to the Ether and yet distinctly separate from Gaian realspace. A parallel world, one might call it. One where nature and chaos rules, unfettered by the constraints of morality..." The tree monologued about it for a while, then paused. The wind caused its leaves to crinkle as it finished "Yes. Yes, I can take you there."

"That aside, child." A warmth lighted up in the tree's bark, blinding blue in color and traveling up to join with its leaves. They became white-blue in response, and soon they bleed with pure magical energy, as pure if not purer than filtered and distilled mana straight from a leyline node. The mana bits came together to form a coherent ball between the tree's trunk and Veth, and slightly above her head.

"Accept this token as a reward for your travels and deeds on the part of our world." The mana particles solidified and came into the shape of a wild beast; a small figurine of a feline creature. They stopped glowing, as the jade figurine hovered in front of Veth. It was small enough that you could fit it in one hand. "This guardian will come to your aid when you beckon him."

"Now, what questions do you have?"

Ellis | Fort Black, Training Yard | Fable Fable Noble Scion Noble Scion One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost

He smiled a little after the apology and his smile only expanded when Drui gave him a playful bump. He closed his eyes and released a contented exhalation. Maybe she's not so bad after all? he thought.

His contemplation was cut off by the abrupt alarm going off from his Guild Seal. Auriel's voice alerted everyone from the other side that she was facing a Death Knight and needed support. His stomach sank and his face twisted into gloom.

While Drui jumped at the idea of teleporting there to help, Ellis shot that idea down quickly. He knew that going in a Death Knight's way amounted to trying to use your body as a bullet shield against a hurricane; it was pointless and foolish suicide. The thought of seriously going there or the scenarios he might face upon teleporting hadn't even crossed his mind.

He put on a drawn expression and made the decision in three seconds.

"No thanks," Ellis replied to Drui's prompt. He pushed against her arms, aiming to release himself. As he did, he explained his reasoning, "I might be trying to change to an altruistic model, but I intend to live out my last days as an elderly man on a rocking chair. I'll help when it's not likely to result in a loss of limbs and organs; anyone who jumps at this SOS call is committing self-murder."

He pushed with his arms forward, while moving his back up against Drui's chest. He felt her squishy assets sink into his back, but didn't concede and kept struggling against her grasp.

Toorvan chuckled when he looked at Elizabeth staring at him with her single eye. It was interesting, the way she said that sentence, but Toorvan caught himself. He cleared his throat and said, "Forgive me, Miss Cain, I just didn't think you the type to take interest in my affairs that deep. I'll answer your question though, I have not come close to meeting anyone. I've only met one such person in my whole life, but we parted ways around three hundred years ago. Though, what use would one such as you have for such information?" Toorvan's last line of questioning he gave a sharp glare with a grin to Elizabeth. He knew what the teasing game was like, Elizabeth wasn't the first, nor the last woman to play such a game with him. Toorvan would've said more after Elizabeth's next words, but the guild seal suddenly began reacting and Auriel's voice came through requesting help with a death knight.

Toorvan had to admit, as interesting as Elizabeth was, it would probably be a shame if a being as fascinating as Auriel died. He had to wonder what caused her to run into some Death Knights. Toorvan wasn't particularly concerned. The only way he could die was if Ignol was ripped from him, but as they were soulbound, it would be rather difficult.

Toorvan picked up his guild seal and activated the speaking feature. "Toorvan Vand here, please give your last teleportation information. I'll have to search for you if I do though, I can use Ignol's pheonix form." Toorvan stopped and crimson flames engulfed his spear. It concentrated into a single mass and from the ball it morphed into a red bird clad in crimson flames. "Apologies, Miss Cain, but I believe more pressing matters await." Toorvan looked at the bird on his shoulder and prepared for a message, hopefully.

Soren played back his memories and gave a loud 'tch' when he had a respite. His weapon, the necrobot didn't flicnh at it. Rather, it was about as useful as cutting a cripple's legs. He looked up as the necrobot dug its legs in and sent a large piece of the roof flying down to him and the woman. Soren looked over, realizing what was happening, and ran to the woman 'Einherjar' shouting, "Watch out!"

Soren ran up and grabbed Bianca, picking her up briefly and began running, but he looked at the shadow, realizing running would help them make it, so he sent force onto the floor and made a jump. Soren ended up rolling with Bianca across the ground before finally leaving the shadow mere moments after the roof came down. Soren heard the debris slam around and a large chunk of stone broke off and landed on his legs, giving a decent laceration and likely causing a bruise. For a moment he thought the roof hand landed on his legs, but the stone piece falling off proved otherwise.

The necrobot was likely long gone, and the Adrenaline was starting to leave. Soren took time to gather his position and noticed that he was somewhat slanted on the woman. Her face was just below his neck and he pushed himself up, accidentally using her body as the ground.

"We're going"

It was like a switch had been flipped. The amiable smile Kit had been wearing just moments before when teaching Bem magic was gone. The calm in his gaze replaced with a fire that almost seemed to burn those that locked with his gaze. Even his posture had switched from one of an approachable almost 'big brother' to that of an imposing military commander. Now, Kit was serious.

He strode in front of Ellis, even as Drui held him, and tipped his chin up to force the young mage to meet his gaze. "You can leave the Death Knight to me. You, Drui, and Bem if she chooses to come are to aid any of our own that are there in taking out any of the Death Knight's accompanying forces. If you see anything magical of theirs laying around, I want it dead. If I die, you have full permission to teleport out of there immediately. But if you run from this and I'm not dead..." He leaned so his face was inches from Ellis. The young mage would feel first hand the imposing presence of a Phantom Legion Captain. "Then I will personally hunt you down and kill you myself." He released Ellis's face and looked to Drui. "Make sure he does his part. My life depends on it."

Kit's eyes now looked to the bee. "I hope I can put my faith in your spear. Show no mercy to our enemies, warrior." He turned away from them, resting his hand on his pocket to be sure he still had It with him. Satisfied, he produced his guild seal and touched the mark. Focusing on the call for help, the spell seal appeared under him and, in a flash, he was gone.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There was really only one course of action...

"Take care of her buddies, leave the Death Knight to me!" One voice, nine sources. In a flash, nine Ki'Tavi's had appeared from a spell seal. Vector arrows appeared under them and, at once there was a complex weave of movements as nine bodies moved in special concert against Jaeyna. The moment he had appeared, he had noticed them, the necromancer allies that likely accompanied Jaeyna, although at a slower pace. In a second, he had determined that his plan could work. It was as he had predicted. He just needed them out of commission if his plan was to work.

The Nine Kits dodged and weaved doing everything to occupy Jaeyna and command the entirety of her attention. He could stall her. For how long, he did not know, but he had to stall her long enough for Ellis and the others to do their jobs... Or else there was no chance for them to win...

Veth was respectful and remained silent as the tree spoke about the Feywild. It sounded much like all the rest she had heard about the place, though she hadn't ever imagined she would ever travel there one day, or that it was even possible to go to such a place. When the tree confirmed it could send her there, she felt a small wave of relief. Veth worried there was the risk the Great Tree would decline her request and end her mission before it even truly began.

The glowing color of the tree changed once more to more of a white-blue hue, seeping with so much magic that even Veth could feel it emanating strongly through herself. The mana formed a bright sphere slightly above her before shaping into a small jade feline figurine which hovered in front of her. Veth reached out and took the item from the air with one hand, holding it and turning it to examine the figure.

"This one has done nothing to deserve such a gift," she said a reverently. She made no attempt to reject the gift, as that would have been horribly rude. So she took her small leather pouch at her hip and opened it to place it inside. She paused before placing the figure inside and then pulled out a strange piece of paper. She didn't recall putting such a thing inside, if she was going to call for assistance, it would have been through her guild seal.

It was folded over and looking fairly normal. She opened the paper and saw a small message scribbled on it, directing her to write a message and wait for a reply. Her brows furrowed slightly at the oddity of such directions. Veth returned the paper into her bag intending to inspect it later when she wasn't in the presence of the Great Tree. She turned her attention back to the Great Tree, hesitating to speak as she didn't want to ask foolish or pointless questions, but she was certain all of hers would be.

"Did you really create the Lecethian?" she spurted out, cheeks flushing somewhat at being so direct. "And... as much as this one has no right for such a request, could she have one of your flowers?"[/div][/div][/div]

The tree's white-blue glow slowly fell back into the original blue color. The tree said nothing about her undervaluation, opting to remain silent. It watched her every move intently, and though it was hard to determine from the lack of a face, it could be felt on a deeper level.

When Veth asked her question, the tree deliberated for a few seconds. Its leaves flickered between white-blue and blue, then set on the latter. The leaves crinkled under wind, carrying its voice as it said, "No. I have not. Your people descend from Eladrin, who descend from the Le Shay, who come directly from fairies. I descend from fairies, therefore we have a distant ancestor and thusly we are distant cousins. But I have not created you."

Upon the second question, a flash of power seemed to go from the tree's center and through one of the roots, traveling until the blue mana was in a root directly next to Veth. In that spot, the stalk of a flower stretched out and a bud of yellow stigma appeared in the middle before an array of white petals reached out from it.

The tree gave Veth a minute to collect herself, then asked: "Are you ready to cross the barrier between worlds?"

Bem the Apianian - Training yard - Birdsie Birdsie One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost Fable Fable

Bem gave Ellis and small bow of the head in return. She wasn't sure what the strange thing that happened to his face was, even though it was a minor detail, but said nothing further on the topic.

"Me? Read? I-I mean.. I've always kind of wanted to.. I was just never born into the scribes.. Are you sure it would be okay?" Bem asked, her wings beating against her back briefly in uncontrollable expression of excitement before she managed to control the surge of emotion. "That'd be wonderful! I would not mind either of you as teachers." she giggled, before heeding Kit's words. "So humans dislike magic too? That.. Confuses me.." she asked as her high-spirits slowly began dying down, but the trail of thought was cut off as the small trinket she had received as a reward between her and Ellis' temporary battle against the guild receptionist suddenly beeped into life, as did her three companions' devices, all seemingly in synchronicity.

"Oh?" was all she managed to get out before Drui and Kit suddenly went on to talking about helping people, while Ellis seemed to want to stay clear of whatever the alert had meant, to which Kit seemed to take on a much more aggressive and dominate role, going so far as to physically touch the bard in what Bem deemed to be a rather intimidating move. She made a mental note of it to possibly try later. Human social interactions were strange indeed. "I.. Am not too sure what is meant by 'self-murder', but it sounds unpleasant. Also this 'death knight' sounds familiar." Bem chipped in to the conversation, grabbing what little information she could to try and piece together what the alert had said.

"I am the strongest warrior of my hive. It's rude to imply that you couldn't." was all she said in a matter-of-fact way as the cat-man said his final piece and made his way away from the little group.

Then, just like that, he disappeared.
"... Oh..." The bee warrior began. "...I ASKED THIS BEFORE AND I'M ASKING IT AGAIN. CAN ALL HUMANS DO THAT?!" she yelled, mainly out of shock and annoyance as this was not the first time, and she had yet to receive and explanation. She disliked being so naïve, but she could only be less so if people actually explained to her. "I swear.." she grumbled as she caught herself, crossing her arms and glaring at the place where Kit used to be, before turning to the two final members of the group. "Is there anything humans can't do? Frankly, to me, this is getting a little ridiculous." she grumbled at them both, not sure what she was expected to do anymore, so simply awaiting instructions from the unspoken new designated leader of the trio, Drui.

Had Veth still been welcomed by her clan, she would have been shocked to hear the Great Tree's denying that it created them, but Veth had been exposed to the world for three years now and found herself only mildly disappointed. Part of her deeply hoped their legends were true and that perhaps she could have asked so many more questions of her race's creator, but now with this information all her other questions would shift.

Veth curiously watched the ground glow and the root shift as it worked to produce a beautiful white flower before her. She slowly reached out to pluck the flower with a small smile. She wondered if it would wilt like the flowers of normal plants. Even if it did, she'd find a way to dry and press the flower to preserve it as best as she could. She took the flower and tucked it behind one of her pointed ears, mostly considering it the safest place for it at the time as being placed in her pouch would crush it surely.

"Le Shay?" She hadn't heard of that name before. "Would this one be able to meet this Le Shay in the Feywild? This one would like to meet her true ancestors if possible, if there is time."

When the tree asked if she was ready, Veth nodded, "This one is ready." [/div][/div][/div]

Drui pouted as Ellis predictably began to resist both her grasp on him and the prospect of going in to fight. She had said she wouldn't force him after she had given him a curse that made him hear the screams of those he could have helped. He had so much potential, but he was still so cowardly. She sighed to herself wondering if perhaps she hoped too much. Maybe this was too big of a step. "Ellis, we've survived them before back at Xhorhas. You may wish to live to an old age, but if you refuse to fight with us now, how long do you think that buys you time-wise?"

She released her grasp on Ellis and turned to Bem as Ki'Tavi confronted Ellis, trying to intimidate the boy, which was not going to go well. Ellis needed to be willing to join them. "Bem, dear, we'll have to postpone any lessons till after this problem is dealt with. Once we get back, I'll be more than happy to instruct you in the Common tongue. Ignore Ellis's words, don't let them influence your own decision."

When Ki'Tavi vanished to go first into the danger, Bem seemed amazed at the event and asked loudly if all humans could do that. Drui approached Ellis, wrapped her arms around him and gave him a small kiss on his lips. "Well, even if you're not going, I am." She released him and as she walked to Bem made a small comment to herself, "I wonder what songs they'll sing about me after this. I'm sure they'll become legendary."

"Bem," she began once she was close to the bee-girl, "Not all humans can do that. Ki'Tavi used the guild seal to travel quickly to aid his guildmate. And there are plenty of things humans can't do, but they strive hard to creatively invent ways to change that. Now then, take our guild seal and focus on that distress call and simply will yourself to be taken there. I'll be hitching a ride with you."[/div][/div][/div]

"You will surely meet many of them on the path before you. Now, go!" The trunk of the tree shifted, moving away from a central point near the ground. Vines underneath slowly slid back to reveal a hole into an entirely different world on the other side.

Veth could see hundreds of trees, similar in size to the one before her, as well as hundreds of other plants in a rainbow of colors, mostly dominated by green hues.

"Go and find your destiny," it whispered as its glow turned pale and its leaves returned to their natural coloration.

Ellis | Fort Black, Training Yard > Dungeon Forest | Noble Scion Noble Scion Fable Fable One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost

He stared blankly, having just seen Ki'Tavi sign his death warrant by deciding to fight a death knight. He didn't notice Drui letting him go.

He pondered... deliberated whether joining this fight was suicide. Maybe his judgment was too snappy? What was it that Cyrus said? Ellis groaned, rubbing his temples with his hands and attempting to erase the words that came out of the old man’s mouth with little success.

Never use magic again until you learn to control it. Start with the basics, for crying out loud!

The basics. He reminded himself of the basics of the thaumaturgical theory. How mana flows, how the subconscious mind is connected with the soul. It was like a man with insomnia tries to count sheep, or how a child with too much sensory input tries to drown out the noises around it. He focused on something else, but his thoughts were derailed when Drui walked up to him.

He looked at her, somewhat disconcerted. She wrapped her arms around him, kissed him, then told him she's going. His cheeks went red.

"What?!" he cried, befuddled. She left as quickly as she approached. "What is-- you can't just-- hey!"

Pain and stress stabbed into his stomach. What was that?! Kissing someone at a time like this?! Was that a sign she likes him, or a way of teasing him, or something entirely else? He was about to break down from his lack of confidence in any of the answers. Any and all of them could have been true. He covered his face and released a staccato of sound oddly similar to a dog's whimpers.

He stopped after a few seconds, lowering his hands until they were parallel with his torso. He breathed in, breathed out, then finished his deliberation from earlier. He decided.

"Screw it!"

He reached into his pocket and pulled out the Guild Seal, then transported to Cyrus' study.

He ran up to the workbench and scooped up a dozen or so of the silver-colored mana crystals that laid there in his hands; a third of them in total. It didn't matter - he could make up for it. He could make more of them later; it was no problem. The crystals were just solidified mana that was rich and resonating with silver fire, nothing that could be returned by him.

He took his Guild Seal again and teleported to Bowerstone, to Astrid's Bar. He ran out of the bar, then across the street and made his way to a magic store. He sold the crystals for a little in excess of five-hundred platinum pieces after a bit of bartering, then, before the transaction was completed, he spent those same platinum pieces to buy several quick-cast scrolls - they were basically one-time use spells available to anyone who can read them.

One scroll of stabilized time stop and one scroll of temporal stasis. He also had a bit over ten platinum pieces saved up; a bit over what was enough for a luxurious one-person vacation or a stable well of money to draw from for a little over a month. As he walked out of the store, he looked for the first beggar he saw and threw the sack of coins at him, before teleporting out with his scrolls.

Jaeyna | Near the Dungeon | Prince_ Prince_ LostHaven LostHaven One Mean Ghost One Mean Ghost

"Quarrel with you?" the death knight repeated. "A quarrel is a gross understatement. I plan to kill you, painfully if possible."

Shortly after, a foolish girl with yellow eyes and ghost-white hair came up to them and pointed a pair of bizarre weapons at Jaeyna. The death knight didn't mind. Focused solely on Auriel, she asked: "Is that your friend? Tell her to go away, or I will kill her as well."

She off-handedly noticed a catman teleport in, multiply himself, then jump about at impossible speeds, but her focus remained on Auriel. "The clock is ticking. After fifteen seconds pass, everyone here will die. You can avoid that fate by leaving!" she yelled to both Natalie and Kit, no longer addressing Auriel in her last sentence.

Fifteen.

Fourteen.

Thirteen...

Kaze was watching the whole affair from above in a tree. His presence had been faded by illusion magic and he had dulled his appearance into the background for the eyes of the beholder, but if one looked carefully they would see a fox person sitting in a tree. He watched as the girl appeared and this weird creature came crashing to her. Only for a random cat beast person to join the fray, probably on the girl's side. Kaze gave a wide grin as he watched the whole affair play out before him. He had heard of a nearby dungeon, but he didn't expect it to be THIS popular. Another girl came and appeared, and he wondered how many more would join the party. Kaze pulled out one of his talismans and slightly activated it.

"Master Kitami, who shall I burn in your name?" a young female voice spoke through to Kaze's mind. It was rather emotionless by nature, but it was probably because the spirit didn't yet have a grasp on the full scope of its emotions. "Should any unworthy wench appear she shall be reduced to ash and flame." Kaze looked closely at the battle that was about to unfurl. The weird necromantic or eldritch being was counting down as a final warning.

Kaze stood up and held the talisman out, ready to release Flan into the world for a brief moment. "Listen Flan, only burn what I presume to be the undead one, the unnatural one. The rest are too cute to burn with your flames."

"How cruel, Master..." Flan's voice whined in Kaze's head. "You have me and you still fraternize with other women. I wish I could burn them all for so much as looking at you with those eyes that seduce you! But if it is what you wish, then so be it."

Kaze waited, as soon as this weird being called a Death Knight hit the low end of the count, he would jump down and release Flan. But how could it get better? Kaze tapped his chin from his perch and grinned. He told Flan the plan and would soon activate it. The moment they jumped down, Flan would be released and engulf her human form with flame to stare at the death knight with her rather intimidating emotionless eyes to say, "My master has ordered me to burn. Now be reduced to ash."

Armad
Location: Outside of the dungeon/spire.
Interacting with: The undead and four necromancers. Birdsie Birdsie

Armad gave a whistle as he looked at the platoon of undead and the four necromancers. The undead weren't gonna be an issue, those kinda fell if you hit em with rocks. The necromancers though? If he got close they'd probably give him a good zap and he wasn't looking forward to that possibility. He thought for a moment, looking around at the trees. Yeah there were enough around him to make a ballista but that'd take a while... Maybe he could just make a battering ram? But then what would protect him from the necromancers? He closed his eyes thinking to himself. He couldn't make something suitable to launch himself out of a catapult with... No he just mainly had stone. He shrugged, it wasn't a fantastic plan but it was the best he had.

Armad opened up his bag of holding and a steady stream of stone and brick began flowing out of it, creating a large ball of stone. Armad smiled, it had taken about 4/5 of the stone he had brought, but the ball was now a large boulder. He looked at the platoon, yeah there weren't too many undead... He moved to either side of the boulder and nodded, picking out the necromancers. He put both hands on the boulder and it began rolling at high speeds directly at one of them with Armad chasing behind it. He pulled out several of the planks of wood from his bag of holding as he was running and made a large shield wall in front of him to protect him from any incoming ranged attacks with just enough room in between two of the boards for him to see. He waited until the boulder either stopped in the middle of them or crushed the first necromancer before it suddenly erupted, sending a large amount of rocks and debris all around it, most of them seemingly trying to find the necromancers.

The rolling boulder went unnoticed for some time, until one of the necromancers spotted it. "Alert!" he yelled, then cast mage armor on himself. The others turned and saw it squish a couple of zombies then roll and hit the gate of the dungeon. The necromancers all cast mage armor; a basic abjuration on themselves.

The boulder exploded into chunks which sought out the necromancers and hit nearly all of them par one who cast a defensive shield just in time. The ones who were struck fell down, except one who wasn't hit in the head and offered enough protection by his armor to shrug off the attack.

The two necromancers instantly picked mental command of the zombies and ordered them to attack. Nine undead in total remained after the explosion, and they ran at Armad, intending to kill.

One of the mages charged up a magic missile spell, then fired it; three darts of blue energy blasted from his fingertip in Armad's direction.

His ally cast grasping corpse on the body of a vanquished zombie. Instantly, the body's hands jerked and caught Armad's ankles, holding him in place.

Vesryn Galandonel/ Guild Base, Elsewhere/ Alteras Alteras Birdsie Birdsie

Vesryn had finished packing everything he needed. He had served with the guild for a good while, and was admittedly getting fed up for being taken for granted. He was done with it all, to hell with the Guild. He shouldered his pack and began making his way out, stopping for a second at reception. "Putting up new quests I see. Anyway, I'm going to be going out for a while, dunno when I'll be back." He sets down his seal none too gently, sliding it to her. "Hold that for me." He said. "Goodbye, Em. If you desperately need me, which I doubt you will, they can come find me." And with that, he left. Not even waiting for a response. He pushed his way out, letting the warmth of the holy ward leave him, and embraced the cold of the night.

Auriel's plea for assistance was answered in mere moments, as several Ki'Tavi's teleported in via guild seal, and attacked Jaeyna. Behind her. Auriel heard a female voice assure the fallen angel that people were there to help. Nodding Auriel turned back to the Death Knight, in time for Jaeyna to explain that it was not a mere quarrel, but rather more of a vendetta. "Apologies. I have not an idea of what I have done to anger you so." She responded.

Then, the Death Knight made the announcement that anyone who did not leave within fifteen seconds would inevitably suffer a bloody fate. Auriel noted that Jaeyna's advice to stand back did not apply to Auriel- it was already decided that she would likely die in an unspeakable fashion. Sighing, Auriel didn't wait for Jaeyna to finish her countdown. Instead, she took the time window she had given to the rest of the guild members, and unsheathed her blade. Then, in a attack similar to that of the one she had pulled on Silvanus, Auriel dashed in front of Jaeyna in a flash, and swiped her bladed horizontally at Jaeyna with all her force, hopefully enough to send this death knight flying as well.

Lou Mirian || Guild Library || Interacting with Julia ( Silver Wolf Silver Wolf ), Hermione ( Rumble Fish Rumble Fish )

Lou's face grew bright red at Julia's mention of 'young girl.' She had completely missed the other part about ignoring the vault-keeper. In fact, Lou was practically dying of embarrassment, hiding his face behind his hands. "Y-young girl?!" He squealed in astonishment. Immediately, his voice quietened down. "I-I'm sorry, but how should I put this? I'm a boy..." He whispered so softly, that one might mistake his voice for the wind. Thankfully, however, other events seemed to have transpired to distract both Julia and Lou from Julia's mixup regarding Lou's gender.

Lou silently watched as the strange animal creature thing tried to steal from Julia, and the mage's backlash, threatening to bring this to the guildmaster to decide upon some ungodly punishment for a thief. Lou shirked away from the Martyr, and hid behind Julia's back, poking his head out from the side. Was this creature drunk? Lou was quite puzzled by the creature's babbling, something about beans, wine and lovers? "You best be careful..." Lou warned Hermione, "I've been warned that 'hoes' are quite terrifying, I think we don't want to see one when angry. Please just apologise." He asked innocently.

Ragna
Location: Ragna's Workshop
Interactions: LostHaven LostHaven

Ragna finally laughed at one of Faust's jokes. The lich had spoke of so many, and so far, the mage-scientist has only laughed at this one. "Worry not, Faust", he said. "I shall make use of the rest, should you desire not to take them."

Watching as Faust open the coffin with a bit of a struggle, and eventually rely on magic to do it. The lid of the coffin fell down with a loud thud, alarming the few maids in the vicinity, which Ragna had calmed down and dismissed with a simple flick of his hand. Faust dragged a seemingly dismembered body of a girl from the coffin, to which Ragna caught intrigue with. The lich gave a bit of an insight on the creature he was assembling, as Ragna inspected it from afar.

"Mind demonstrating me the capabilities of this automaton?", Ragna addressed Faust. "There's an open field not far from here. I hear Cyrus has made his golems stand guard there. But of course, there is no need to worry about them being destroyed, golems are easily fixed."

Faust Windfallow || Ragna's Workshop || Interacting with Ragna ( Reinhardt Reinhardt )

"Nah, I can always throw the excess bars at kids who try to raid the vault..." Faust responded to Ragna, who claimed that he would put the rest of the bars to good use should Faust not need them. The puppet's limbs seemed to attach easily, as Faust brought its left leg to its matching socket. It clicked in without further hassle, and Faust was able to assemble the automation in a few minutes. "I don't think it can fight in its default programming though..." Faust muttered, as he pulled open its chest compartment.

Inside, there was a single object comprised of several glowing, blue polygons- the mana battery. Many wires extended from the battery, and there were two switches and Faust flipped every single one of them to 'on' without looking at what it actually did. One of them had to be an 'on' switch, right? Pulling the automaton's skirt back up, Faust expected it to turn on. "Believe me, this thing can do a lot of damage." He informed Ragna.

Alice Header.png

Alice || Ragna's Workshop || Interacting with Ragna ( Reinhardt Reinhardt ), Faust
The puppet flared to life, and its eyes lit up to a dark red. It rose from the ground, and stood on its two feet. It surveyed the surroundings, its eyes falling on Faust. "Undead signature detected." It said in a monotone voice. "Dispatching threat immediately."

"Yep. It works." Faust uttered in relief, only realising the words the puppet had said moments too late. "Hang on, what?"

Alice dashed at Faust, sweep-kicking him off his feet. Then, while Faust was on the floor, she stamped down on him pinning him to the ground, then plunging her right hand, which was armed with adamantite claws, into Faust's chest. Loud snaps of breaking bones resonated throughout the workshop, as Alice grabbed on to Faust's spine, and thanks to Faust's measly weight of 37 pounds, lifted him up with ease. Then, Alice pushed the coffin over, so it lay on the floor, and shoved Faust into it, before slamming the lid on him. The puppet then sat down on the lid to prevent Faust from escaping the coffin. All of this was accomplished with minimal resistance from Faust himself, who was too puzzled by Alice's sudden attack to be able to process what was happening. Alice seemed to consider that as target eliminated, as she gazed at Ragna.

"Soul signature confirmed. Will you register as this unit's 'master'?" It asked.
