Realistic or Modern A Gifted World

Viatrix navigated the subway tunnels with Zygnor, occasionally stumbling over the tracks. The rift hadn't taken too much out of her, but she still felt a little dizzy after the fact.

"Not much further, I can see a light." Via breathed, picking up the pace a little. It wasn't until the light seemed to be moving that she stopped running. That wasn't just a light.

Rails sparked as the train attempted to brake, but it was still careening towards them at a startling speed. Via took a deep breath and stepped forward, outstretching a hand in the direction of the furiously blaring train. She could feel her mind trembling with the effort, but mere moments before the train turned them into red mist, Viatrix tore open a portal that stretched out across the subway tube, engulfing the train completely until the vehicle found itself in the middle of a three-sunned desert.

Once the entire train was though, Via let the portal collapse back in on itself, bracing her hands on her knees to catch her breath.
"Let's... Keep going." She huffed, continuing to hobble down the tracks.

Soon enough, the subway tunnel opened out to the beach station, which was utterly void of passengers. Viatrix tried no to ponder too heavily on whether she'd sent any passengers across dimensions in that train. Rather, she hopped up onto the platform to get a better look at the chaos unfolding on the shore.

B2F70645-92DF-41F7-B5B9-3A9E5A128E6F.jpegZygnor and Viatrix began running down the tunnels heading for the beach. A light began to grow as Viatrix mentioned it was the entrance to the beach. The tunnel began to vibrate as Zygnor assumes that was the strange creatures doing and that made him eager to get faster and wasn’t paying attention to how much distance he put between him and Viatrix. He turned to see Viatrix stopped and realized the light wasn’t the exit as it was getting bigger and moving. Zygnor gasped as he tried to rush back to Viatrix only to be stopped by what seemed like a portal emerge from the tunnel. Stopping, he turned to see the train as he began to phase through it watching it disappear into the mysterious rift in space. “Where’s this taking the train?” He wondered. Once fully gone, he saw Viatrix trying catch her breath and rushed to see if she was alright. Before he could say anything, she huffed to keep going as he followed making sure to help if she couldn’t regain her energy. ‘Was that portal hers?’ He thought as they emerged out of the entrance to the beach.

Upon entering, a small area was destroyed. He noticed a change in pressure slightly as he could feel like it was pulling and pushing them. “Do you feel that?” He asked Viatrix as he looked around. There Zygnor noticed a strange blue creature hovering over a whole and another slightly similar creature hanging from a building. “I don’t think those are Earthly natives,” he muttered. Getting closer to the scene and taking cover behind a car, the creature hanging from the building was aiming her weapon at the man before landed from his jump out of a hole. Zygnor rushed over the hood of the car and extended his hand to create a shadow sphere around the man for protection. “Agh!” Zygnor grunted lightly as he fell to his knees still holding the man. The impact of the projectiles on the sphere added with the telekinetic energy the stranger emitted weighed heavy on his energy and it hurt. The weapon was stronger than anything he protected against on Earth and he wasn’t prepared for the damage that was sent through his body. Still holding the stranger in the sphere, Zygnor picked himself up to his feet and took a deep breath. “Technically I didn’t engage in combat,” he started as he walked closer. He reached the hole in the ground as he was careful to stay on a stable portion as to not break off and fall in. “So there’s really no reason to attack me.” Even though the stranger was engulfed in Zygnor’s magic orb, the energy could still be felt through the area.

Lilith followed violet outside of the mansion, having no trouble keeping up with her quickened pace. Soon enough a car engine could be heard behind them and came to a halt once it had caught up to them. Luckily this was Anton in an, admittedly fancy car. Having no idea on the models, Lilith simply knew it to be fast and expensive. Upon calling out to them Lilith's smile grew much larger than it had previously been with the promise of a possible defense. Following to Violet's orders before giving a quick nod Lilith, assuring her that his conspiracy theories would not impact her. Lilith rapidly opened the back door of the car and hopped in. "See you at the beach!"

"Hey Anton! Good idea brining the car." A devilish gleam in her eye. Now things were finally getting exciting. As the car sped towards their destination Lilith grabbed onto the corners of the drivers and the passengers sear, leaning in by the second. "So what do you think these guys want? They can't actually be the new recruits, right? If they are so we just forget this ever happened and invite them over for lunch or something?"

Nyx, Megnu, & Zorn.

Nyx burst out laughing when the black shell wrapped around the human attacked. Apparently the other humans had decided on diplomacy. He allowed himself to slowly lower to the ground calling out. "Stand down zorn, and Megnu stop lounging around will ya." the fat alien in the hole started to rock back and forth like a turtle until he rolled completely over and rose to his feet. climbing out of the hole and glaring at the approaching humans.

Zorn Never came down from he lookout. By now the impacts and psychic powers would've scattered the fog yet she still used her tendril sense to zero in on the new humans and aim her rifle at them. Again nyx spoke. "so then mudwalkers, i take it you do not wish us to continue the violence hmmm. Then perhaps you can help me find this "heroes mansion" and i will consider forgiving the Bug god here." his sinister grin seemed to say otherwise. as the fat alien approached and stood at his left the taller one's tendrils rattled for a second time...

As Amelia drew nearer to the beach, she could see people. Normal people, which were enough to induce bad feelings on their own, and big, scary looking creatures. She tapped on her headphones anxiously, wanting to turn around. She stopped in the middle of the road.
/you’re almost there Amelia, you can do it/
“No no no, I can not do it, no.” Amelia said, punctuating every word with a tap.
/please, Amelia, you’re so close/
“Which is a bad thing!”
/Be sensible Amelia/
“I am being sensible,” Amelia pressed her headphones in to her head until it hurt. “And my senses say I want to go away now,”
The ghost sighed, and had Amelia been able to see it, it would have looked very exhausted. /Fine then, just stand here in the middle of the street, see if I care/
“Thank you ghost friend,” Amelia said, proceeding to do just that.

Still holding the stranger in the sphere of dark energy, Zygnor stared as the massive, unearthly creature hovered to the ground. 'He's looking for the heroes's mansion?' Zygnor thought to himself. This creature was interesting, assertive, powerful. Zygnor couldn't help but stare in amazement and not look away even as a smaller, similar creature emerged from the hole in the ground. 'Wait, did he just call me a mudwalker?' Zygnor blushed a little from embarrassment, as it had a completely different meaning in his dimension. "I'm not like that, and my privacy is my business!" He coughed out trying not to laugh. "But anyway, why are you looking for the heroes's mansion?" Zygnor made no sudden movements, not a flinch, nor a hand movement, but in his mind, he was ready to engage if these creatures were hostile. They are strong and he already knew they may be able to read his body language if he were to get ready on the spot and he didn't want to give them that advantage. “If you have questions I can answer them for you.” He started again, even though he had no idea of the mansion’s location yet. It was just time to stall as he wanted to make sure these creatures meant no harm. But they just may as they were battling this defenseless strange with unfair odds. ‘I now know there are three,’ he thought to himself. He continued to stare with a focused face at the creature who seemed to be the leader. ‘But I can’t do this on my own with this man injured and I don’t know what Viatrix is capable of.’ Zygnor honestly didn’t know what to do with the man he contained in a bubble, but he decided to move the man towards the car behind him to lean on. “I’ve been a resident for sometime now and I can assure you, I have the answers required.”What the yon am I doing?’ he exclaimed in thought. Zygnor kept a convincing face and emotion towards the creature. His voice was still light and a bit too high for a male. All this was just needed to gain more information from these creatures. “What is it you wish to know?”

‘The mansion?!’ Violet thought to herself. Still atop the building, she stood a fair distance from the scene as she watched and heard everything. Seeing the young man in the cloak talk about he loves there was a very interesting strategy. It’s not like these aliens know the occupants of the mansion, anyway. ‘So maybe these are the new recruits. I’m glad I never doubt Anton’s instincts.’ What was to happen next would surely be less harmful than the combat initiated by the man who was free from the Black sphere around him. ‘So this cloaked man must harness shadow manipulation or dark magic.’ She began to analyze and remember all the skills and abilities shown thus far in hopes to see more during their training portion for the acceptance of residing in the mansion. Now all that was needed were the intentions of these aliens for the mansion or the heroes themselves.

Nyx, Megnu, & Zorn

As Megnu took his position beside Nyx he cursed and whined in Tetraxian. "must we truly let the Mudwalker live" he groaned. "Yes Megnu, He will live." the captain responded in Tetraxian before addressing the others. "First let me say It is nice to meet a civilized member of your species rather than a pack of panicked animals and a territorial bug god" he seemed to snicker at his own joke and paused for a bit longer when Bosd hovered over to his side with sparks and pops accompanying him. The captain seemed to change his demeanor as he coddled his little robot before passing it to Megnu. The fat Alien began promptly opening up the drones panels and cleaning debris while pulling bent metal pieces to fix.

"Anywho, We are hear to answer your call of course. This Hero mansion sent out a signal with an encryption matching the signal we sent upon landing here 37 of your earth years ago. I figured they were accepting the mercenary add we posted on you dark spiders webs." He seemed to look off into space for a second before snapping back. "Tell me...Do you humans possess the youtube?" the mere mention of the word pulled Megnu from his task, he looked expectantly at the humans who had gathered. In fact Zorn seemed interested as well taking her place on the other side of Nyx however she moved swiftly, silently, and in the shadows so that to any onlookers would've seen her vanish and appear a moment later at the captains side.

Viatrix burst out from her hiding place behind the hood of the car, her hands outstretched to show she wasn't armed. Zygnor was right, there was a unusual sort of pressure around the area, she could feel resonate in her power, like static tickling the back of her skull. Via nonetheless kept her eyes on the creature. "The... erm... Youtube isn't very representative of our species." She offered, cringing slightly at the thought. "If you promise not to hurt anyone then... we can take you to the mansion."

Sure, it might have been the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever - but it was either bringing these creatures to a place full of capable individuals - or leave them here to run rampant and continue to hurt innocents. Viatrix had already made up her mind.

"We won't attack you, but in return you can't hurt anymore people!" Viatrix stood up on her toes, though she was still dwarfed by the lot of the invaders.

Lee slammed his fist against the car. "Hey!" He shouted with clear frustration, glaring at the newcomers. "who the hell told you to but in?" He looked past them back to the aliens. "And you!" He clenched his teeth. "An attack from behind...." recalling the sound of a gun, his eyes burning with a intense hatred. "Coward! Your attempt to kill me from behind has failed! " He steps forward. "You're gonna wish it didn't! you.....!" He suddenly collapses unconscious, the strain on his body and mind mixed with his rage sending him into shock.

Heading into the city was always something Kiana dreaded doing. She liked the street performers and the liveliness but the crowds always made her feel claustrophobic and anxious. Recently she had received a very strange letter however, from someone named the 'Watcher.' He mentioned her powers and that was enough to spark her curiosity. If this person was true to his word, she could stop feeling like a freak, she could get away from her hometown where no body liked her. Nothing had made her brave enough to try and leave home before this, finally she had some hope.

The train ride took hours, and many stops and connecting trains. She stopped in one suburb for at least 40 minutes before locating the correct train station to take her all the way to the big city. When she was just reaching her last stop however, she could immediately tell something wasn't right. Kiana could hear what sounded like explosions above ground. The driver slammed on the breaks suddenly at the station and nearly everyone including Kiana who'd been standing up in the busy train carriage fell on their faces. There was a great feeling or fear spreading throughout the train, and Kiana felt it all too strongly. Their fear leached into her and she found herself unable to move. She was paralyised completely until people started running.
CRACK

Someone with very heavy steel-capped boots had stepped on her hand. She felt the bones in her fingers snap, and cried out . Focusing, she stopped the people from running. She closed her eyes, and begun transmitting the most calming, mellow feelings she could muster in this stressful moment into their clouded brains. People stopped, some of them smiled, a couple helped her up. They were easy to move past now as they were all in a state of bliss. Unfortunately the sheer amount of people in that cartridge was making the effect hard to keep up.

When she made it onto the platform she could see nothing. There was an extremely dense fog enveloping everything. She could barely make out peoples figures as they ran past her, freed from her spell. The other platform was hidden as well but she could sense that there were people over there. They did not have the same fear as everyone around her, so she could pick them from the crowd of fleeing people instantly

Not thinking about it too clearly she jumped down onto the tracks and quickly hopped up onto the other platform, trying to zero in on the calm, curious and collected feelings that she could sense from this person. "Hello? Hello is someone there?" She called out, walking very quickly towards what now appeared to be a figure in the fog heading for the exit.

Nyx, Mengu, & Zorn.

Nyx looked on at the humans and was soon to respond when the Bug god human rose with proclamations. Before collapsing with a thud. He watched the aggressive human for a second before responding finally. "If i wanted to hurt people i would've brought more than just these two... You have my word that we will cause no more harm to your people or their city." Nyx then offered his mechanical hand to shake on his promise. Megnu just grumbled and continued to repair Bosd. Yet Zorn seemed to relax, the promise of the ceasefire between them seemed to shift her from a warriors mentality to a more curious and less dangerous Mental state. "Lead the way Humans."

F693F996-F4B6-4787-9844-50AF2EF15F10.jpegZygnor turned as the stranger slammed hiscfist against the car he put him near and began shouting. Suddenly, he fell to the ground unconscious and finally silent. “Sorry about that,” Zygnor apologized to the creatures. Zygnor stepped over the stranger closer to the creature with an extended mechanical arm. ‘This creature is astonishing,’ he thought to himself. Placing his hand in the prosthetic, he agreed with the creature with a slight nod. “Zygnor Aknilyo,” he greeted, “and it’s... very nice to meet you.” ‘Viatrix and I didn’t even know where to go, how the yon are we suppose to find the mansion now.’ No sweat to showcase a lie, Zygnor turned to Viatrix with a face of uneasiness, then to the man on the floor. Even if the man seemed crazy, he couldn’t just leave him in the street. “We may have to give this man medical attention as we go,” Zygnor states lifting him with a shadow panel. This whole scenario was expected by Zygnor to play out for a long time since he had no idea where he was going. As long as the creatures get to the mansion, that’s all that matters. There were so many scattered cars, most of them still had keys in them from panicked citizens. “As for transportation,” Zygnor started again, “I believe Viatrix was just about to show us a- her vehicle.” This lie was just going and going. Zygnor didn’t even know how to drive a car from earth and hoped Viatrix would think of something.

Violet was deeply impressed the communication skills provided by the male and female who stepped in to save that aggravated man about to seriously injured. She wondered if they knew exactly where the mansion was, but didn’t want to stick around and find out. It would be very amusing to see how this turns out, but she also wanted to get back to the mansion and make preparations. Before leaving, she noticed a small girl in headphones close by and wondered why she stayed. Was it to see the commotion? Either way, Violet jumped from the building into the alley she parked her bike and sped off to the mansion to be there before the new guests arrived.

Glancing sideways at Zygnor, Viatrix nodded slowly. "R-Right this way." She spun on her heel and rapidly flicked her eyes across the scattered cars, searching for one with a key still in the ignition. It didn't take long until she passed one, which she flung open the door to, acting as if this was the car she was walking towards the whole time. It was a little larger than the rest, so hopefully her newfound acquaintances would actually fit inside. "Ah, this is my vehicle." Via announced, before grasping Zygnor by the arm and whispering, "I never passed my driving test. What am I supposed to do?" She switched wild-eyed glances between him and the car. The only other person who could possibly drive was unconscious, so there went that idea.

Viatrix turned to face the invaders. "Please, uh- situate yourself in the vehicle." She gestured toward the passenger seats.

Amelia was still talking to her ghost friend, who'd spent the last several minutes stalling her and trying to keep her near the beach. Now, the people were seemingly dispersing, and Amelia was not about to risk having to speak with any of them. She started walking away, all the while the ghost was messing with her, trying to get her to just stop walking and let him figure out what to do from here. Amelia didn't get what was up with this ghost and the beach. Maybe they'd died in the water or something.

F693F996-F4B6-4787-9844-50AF2EF15F10.jpegZygnor watched as he placed the spotlight towards Viatrix. She chose a random vehicle big enough for everyone as she pulled him close to whisper. "Well you have more knowledge than I do about these things," he whispered back. "I'm not even from this planet so I wouldn't know what I'm doing." the situation was a head scratcher. Viatrix invited the creatures to the bus as Zygnor got in the passenger side. "Just, do what you learned and take the easy way." The only other problem, where the hell was the mansion? Zygnor was putting a lot of trust and hope in his new found friend.
