A Game of Survival

(Yeah I feel the need to start coloring and making my text pretty like I use to... I am about to go through the entire RP and do this to all my posts. xP)


"Kat you are doing an awful job at your part of the game. Just because you are getting mad at the cute elf with a mouth. He has quite the chest, I felt it." A man said, gaining everyone's attention to look upward. Standing on the edge of a building was someone clad in complete black. The only thing that was not black was a skull mask that he wore, covering his face completely. Pulled over his head was a small hood. It made them look like a grim reaper. The only thing they could really see was his hazel eyes. They seemed really lanky and not all that muscle mass. Sitting next to them was a large red bird, almost the size of a bob cat, it looked like it could be on fire. Also next to him as a small calico cat with a bob tail.


Lucky looked like she was seeing her hero, her eyes were rather wide.


Chemi looked a bit scared and took a step back trying to get behind someone.


Shurcain and Raver were still gathering things while the other's had rushed off to help the straggling part of the group. Raver nodded, "I won't fail you Master Shu." He told him, almost fondly. How could he fail when someone put so much trust in his ability to keep him safe?

Kat pouted "But death the elf is so not as cute as me!" KAt whined "ok ok I'll do a good job. If i can keep everyoone here alive long enough for Kai to be amused and you frustrated I get to top when we frolic next, if I loose you get me any way you want," sond better? but you need to give us an hour head start you have unfair advantages,"


Zek was looking at KAt rather unamused he really di think of all this as a game.


Shurcain smiled brightly helping he wasnt scared anymore.
 
Aleksie looks at the demon beast, "К сладким богини и ее божественного милосердного взгляда защитить меня от этого адского зверя, образованной кошмаров и вещей наиболее фол.*" He takes a step back, his ring flashes as he summons an opaque blue ball around him.


Leon steps in front of Chemi and fires his riffle which whizzes past him, "Next time I might not miss, mate." He turns around and looks to Chemi "You alright?"


(*By the goddess and her sweet merciful divine sight to protect me from this hellish beast formed nightmares and things most foul.)
 
Death flailed out of the way as soon as Leon shot at him, "A gun?! Kai didn't say anything about a gun!" He cursed lightly under his breath. He picked herself off the side of the roof and them jumped down in front of Kat, "Ok... I will make the deal with you... but don't you hold back, ok? like every time i've bet with you Kat, I will win." Death said before leaning in to whisper to Kat. After words he leaned back and then pointed to Leon, "Watch yourself pretty boy. You lot have one day. Yes I am giving you an entire day of me not bothering you." With that he took a few steps away from the group, "Kill me if you can." He taunted them.


Lucky jumped out of her skin and looked at Leon, Chemi did that same, "What.. what is that?!" Lucky asked.


 
"Ok Death... take care," Kat whispered. "Leon has a boom stick!" KAt said almost happily, "come on we have an hour to run," he chose not to tell them about the day "Lets not waist it." KAt took Leons wrist and began to pull him back towards Shurcain and Raver.


Zek was beyond milly confused but he followed KAt in no hurry he had a sheild glimmering around himself a warning against anyone that he was not defencless.
 
Aleksie mutters within his ball in a manic, near psychotic tone.


Leon, obvious not fond of being pulled "The hell, mate?" Leon looks to Kat "Did I do something wrong?"
 
Death waved at them, nothing but the making smiling at them as they left.


Lucky followed, though she was looking at Aleksie like he was crazy.


Chemi followed closely behind Leon and Kat, before they knew it they caught up to Shurcain and Raver who were still standing by the stuff.


"Here... we found some stuff too." Chemi said, though she paused a moment, "What did we do with that medical stuff we found?" She asked Leon and Aleksie.
 
Kat seemed in his normal chipper mood "Ok we have less time then i thought since Death found us quickly. After we tally up and rashion out we need to get moving.


Zek just looked tiered this day was taxing on his emotional state. He looked at the group to see if anyone else felt as worn down as him.


Shurcain seemed alarmed when they mentiond Death.
 
Leon motions to his backpack. "All here, love." Leon takes a quick glance back to the ball of magic concealing the startled prince. "Chemi, be a sweetheart and talk the babbling psychopath down?"
 
"Sure." Chemi said before looking at Aleksie and walked as close as she could, a little wary to actually touch the magic, "Aleksie... can you come back out?" She asked him quietly.


Raver of course almost glared at Kat, but picked up the stuff and put it on his back. He was rather strong and didn't want other people being slowed down by the stuff. "We have everything already, we can move immediately." Raver told Kat.


Lucky was just humming lightly as they merged back as a group.
 
Kat nodded and looked up to see where the sun was "we need to head out get as much distance as we can and set a camp. I don;t imagine its to friendly here at night," Kat sounded seroius he was really thinking of the best course of action. "we'll need to try and get watter too,"


Zek sighed and walked to Aleksie when Chemi did the mage prince extended a hand "come now we have to set out," he said his voice and expression rather cold and political but his outstreached hand seemed friendly enough.


Shurcain stuck close to Raver carrying a small bag just to be usefull.
 
Aleksie mutters to himself in his native tongue for a while and then stops "Is the demon gone? I will only leave if the demon beast has already left."


Leon frowns for a second "Where are we going to go? Just any random direction? Or do you have the foggiest idea?"
 
"Demon... Beast.. I don't think I saw one.." Chemi said lightly, looking up at Zek.


Raver looked at them, "Master... should I offer to scout ahead?" the man flexed his wings lightly.


Lucky shrugged and continued to idly kick rocks.

"Best bet is to head in one solid direction so we don't get sidetracked and end up going in circles, I normally go North," Kat said he looked at everyone "we need to also set who will be what in the group, also taking jobs when we set camp,"


"Demon beast?" Zek asked "theres none i see..." he said looking at Aleksie oddly.


"No... I want you to stay here neer me," Shurcain said.
 
"The winged beast of fire and hate, did you not see it?" Aleksie growls with no small amount of annoyance.


"North? That is your plan? Do you have any idea what is there? Or if there is anything we need there?" Leon looks shocked. "We could be walking into a nest of beasts that could kill us ease."
 
"Do you have a better idea?" Raver said with a growl to Leon. He knew the man was right... but Shurcain's order was final. He was to stay by his side.


"Winged beast.. you mean the big red bird?" Chemi asked, "It's gone... I promise, so you can come out."

"It's the same risk as any other direction but it's also the one opposite Death and thus my choice so i can keep you away from someone activly trying to kill you," Kat said.


Shurcain looked at Raver he just din't want him far away or even out of reach.


"the phoenix?" Zek asked
 
Leon sighs, this evidentially is what our guide thinks is a good idea, and Leon has nothing better. Leon decides to turn his attention to Chemi and see if she has quelled Aleksie.


Aleksie goes quiet for a second "That is the name of demon beast yes. Are you sure it is gone. They are tricky, if you are not careful it could kill you."
 
"What is a phoenix?" Chemi asked looking to Zek, "A type of demon?"


Raver nodded, "We should leave then." Raver said, though he reached for Shurcain's hand and took hold of him.

"A bird with flaming plumage," Zek old Chemi.


Shurcain held Ravers hand and smiled


Kat began leading the way north.
 
Aleksie lets go his spell and looks for the Phoenix to no avail and sighs with relief. Then he regains his composure and his posture. "Are we all set, then?"


"Welcome back, our brave prince." Leon laughs at Aleksie's expense, to which Aleksie rolls his eyes at.
 
Raver tugged on Shurcain, setting a speedy pace and walking a bit a head of everyone since some people were still staling. Kat taking the lead.


Lucky laughed, "You are nuts man." She told Aleksie.


"Don't be so mean..." Chemi said, "We are getting left behind.. come on guys.." Chemi said before jogging a bit to catch up to Shurcain and Raver.
 
"Of all things..." Zek sighed and went to follow the rest of the group convinced Aleksie was off his rocker.


Kat was very cautios listening to everything around him as they traveled further north.


Shurcain stuck close to Raver as always
 
Aleksie calmly walks past Lucky, thinking horrible things to himself.


Leon caught up with chemi "Can I ask what you think of group?"
 
"No..." Chemi said looking up at Leon, "I mean... I know you as much as the next people. I'm just... scared. I don't want to die... I want to go home... to my brother. He had just went out hunting... and he is going to come home to me missing... he is going to be historical." Chemi said with a light sigh.


Lucky watched him go then smirked rather wide before she followed behind him quickly.


Raver was trying to keep an eye and ears open.


The terrain was a bit soggy. It was tropical more then a forest, maybe even a bit swampy. The tallest trees stood almost the length of skyscrapers. The trunks however were not that thick, maybe a couple arm lengths around. The jungle provided them with several unknown sounds of what seemed to be bird, deer and bugs.


"The ground is so moist... I am starting to think we might have to forage for water..." Raver pointed out.
