Cinder wants to be left alone for the most part, but being an incredibly smart and talented scientist she's been asked to consult on a variety of projects, but never for more than six or seven weeks. Her greatest fear is losing all of her senses, or being subjected to pain. She's limited in eyesight, having lost an eye. She has social anxiety, and prefers to be alone and work alone. She believes in her own moral system, and that there's good in everyone, no matter how fallen they feel.

Gameplay

Occupation: She's a scientist and pretty competent hacker.


Origin: Blackpoole, England.


Weapon: Computers and science. She's useless at every other form of weapon except running away.


Armour: A lab coat. And clothes.


Fighting Style: Very fast typing and running.


Skills: She's excellent with computers, can solve problems quickly and has a high IQ.

Cinder is incredibly shy. She prefers her own, small space, and to be in a lab most of the time. If she could, she would live in a lab, surrounded by science and nothing else. She can work with people, but has trouble functioning under duress after the attack that took her eye.

Backstory

She had a pretty normal childhood. Happy family that moved to America when England was bereft of jobs. Her father was a science teacher, her mother a ballroom dance instructor. She grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, and went to MIT. That was when it became clear she was on a whole other level of intelligence than her classmates. She was recruited by several major companies, and at the time Wolfe Industries didn't seem to be interested in a young, bright scientist. Until she started to develop several computer programs that rivaled the security of Wolfe's, as well as several biological enhancements such as prostetics. Her main focus was helping soldiers who lost limbs during war, though she helped where she could.


And then one night she was grabbed off the streets, without warning. Wolfe Industries thought she could be put to better use, designing limbs that were efficient and strong, in an effort to further crush the rebellion, to give the Wolves an edge. Cinder refused, knowing that her work would not be put to good use.


She was then sent to a prison facility, so the rebellion wouldn't gain the edge they would get with Cinder's technology. During her stay at the prison there was a riot; an overzealous guard swiped her across the eye with a knife when she tried with everyone else to escape. Luckily the laceration wasn't very deep, but the jagged way it was cut left a scar across her face.


Somehow she was let go. She lost hope for life, hating her reflection. She would work for others, but it was hard on her when they either hid their disgust or showed it openly. Either way, Cinder thought she'd never retain any worth for herself again.


That was how the rebellion found her. They offered revenge, but Cinder didn't take it. Revenge wouldn't bring her eye back, or her face. But they came back with a different approach: Work for them, get paid, and have all of the amenities she could ever want. They would respect her space, as long as she worked for them.


She ended up working as a scientist and computer hacker combo. She upgraded their security, went back into prostetics for the rebellion, and developed vaccines for various gasses Wolfe Industries tried to use against them. Always, she felt alone. And she still does...
