It'll split about in half, depending on people's choices. That's a ways down the RP road, though, and there'll be hints to it. You can have your char be two-faced. As in actually be working for the rebels.

Bio: Caiphas was born an orphan, until he was found by the company. For as long as he could remember, Caiphas was trained in the art of murder. To become the silent killer, the one who see's all, but is never seen. To become a Vindico Assassin. For 18 years, since the time he could walk, Caiphas, along with other children were trained in the arts of infiltration, sniping, and escape/evasion tactics. He and others like him were ordered to avoid all human contact, except for their handlers, and were trained to never question, an carry out the mission, even if it meant their own demise. Caiphas though, was unlike the others. He was constantly getting punished for questioning. Still, by the time he graduated, he had become a living weapon. As per custom, he was given a mission right off the bat. He didn't know what she had done to recieve a death sentence, he only recieved a name, locaction and a photo of the target.


That night, he waited for his victim from the rooftop across the street from her home. As soon as she came into view, he squeezed the trigger, leaving nothing but paste where her head had once been. But something gave him pause, as he watched the children with the household cry out for their now freshly deceased parent. Regret. For the first time in his life, he felt regret. Mission after mission, he began to question why they deserved death, until finally he made up his mind. He was assigned to eliminate a fleeing, critically-injured rebel commander, following the fall of their stronghold. Genuinely moved by the sight of the woman, (whom he later learned is named Terra Fisher) and the fact that she is the last of her Brothers and Sisters in the area, Caiphas went against his orders and became her guardian,fighting through increasingly-difficult odds as the company tried to destroy them both. The engineered killing machine that is Ciaphas discovered his humanity, the moment he rescued her. Not wanting to leave her, he joined the rebellion, taking orders only from her.

This item appears as a matte-black bodyglove, specially fitted for the individual Assassin. Each suit is made up of a carbon fiber and kevlar blended with a complex version of "synskin" to allow its wearer to blend in with his environment. Thus integrated, the spy mask's sensorium suite and predictive augurs exload data straight into the Vindico's mind. Trajectories, atmospherics, thermal imaging, psychic spoor, all are superimposed directly onto an Operative's field of vision. The mask allows the assassin to see through dense smoke, driving snow, and can even identify likely weak points in their victim's defences, based upon intel inloads and probability scripture. The Spy Mask also contains cartridges of concentrated food and water for extended operations, and a multi-channel communications sensor for monitoring enemy communications. Bio:Marco grew up normally and nothing appeared to be wrong for the longest time.But,as he grew older,many mental disorders began to show and his whole life turned upside down.He would get into many fights and get angry for simple things or sometimes for no reason at all.He would try to be normal but his mood swings and weird lifestyle took over.It was obvious that he was not normal but it wasn't just the disorders that made him special.Something happened at birth which gave him tremendous abilities.The cost of being born with these abilities,however,was his mental instability.Marco was born with black hair but it eventually turned pure white and his eyes turned grey.His genes were simply not normal at all.As his changes went on,he slowly became more and more powerful.He could leap great distances and lift extremely heavy objects.He was also resistant to pain and his skin became very tough. This,however,made him more dangerous.Marco liked to harm himself often and harming others was even easier because of his powers.After years of research, doctors and scientists finally found a cure for Marco.They created a special gas for Marco which is very potent and unbreathable for regular humans.Then they created a custom gas mask that can administer the medicine daily to help with his issues.He had to wear the mask every day and it was easier to live after that.He would get regular refills of the medicine when he needed it.Then,the wars began and Marco didn't know what to do.He was a mental patient with unimaginable power and he didn't really like taking sides.Eventually he had to side with the rebellion.It was a good few years working for the rebellion.Marco took many lives like it was nothing.Because he was taking the gas,he was very calm during most of the battles.His eyes are always halfway closed as if he is sleepy and emotions were withheld.This made him seem cold and apathetic.Sometimes he would go too far and he was like a barbarian in the battlefield.The rebels eventually began to call him Ice Cube because of his demeanor,his pure white hair,and his crystal grey eyes.Many women were mesmerized by Marco's appearance but he didn't care.His emotions were everywhere and he had lost everyone he cared about so he never bothered to build any relationships.He simply did his work and he did it well.One day he took it a step further and applied nano machines to his body.After the procedure,he could heal and manipulate objects.Although he was the best rebel to join the rebellion,he kept his identity a secret until the rebellion formed a devious plan.They decided to make Marco pretend to side with Wolfe.He became a spy and sent vital information to the rebellion.It was a genius plan and it worked for years.No one was every suspicious because of his melancholy attitude.Marco became an engineer for Wolfe and he did his job without saying a word to anyone.He learned about their technology and could eventually build whatever he wanted and fix anything.His nano machines also extremely aided in building and fixing things.Of course,he used his new skills to his advantage and he continues with his plan to this day,building things for Wolfe and sending information.Sometimes he is sent to the field to help with the tech and also heal.Because of the drugs he takes he dabbled in making his own concoctions until he mastered it.He now uses them to heal Wolfe's men when he is on the field and enhance their performance temporarily.He also uses the drugs on himself often.When he's on the field,he tries to avoid killing the rebels he works with but sometimes he has no choice but to kill so he can prove his loyalty and keep his cover.When he's not working for Wolfe,he also does serious damage to the loyalists but dons a disguise so no one recognizes him like most rebels do.Switching back and forth has become a daily routine and no problems arise.He continues doing what he does to this day.


Weapon(s):one powerful hatchet that he always has on his belt that he can attract to his hand with a magnet and some nano machines,dual pistols with assorted rounds for any job,a transformable bow on his back


Skills:Perfect hand to hand combat skills,extreme accuracy,extreme endurance,good observation,improvisation,knowledge on most machines but if something is unknown it is quickly solved by observation and engineering skills

Okie doke so I'm going to just use a character that I have already made. I just need to edit his character sheet a bit because the code is a little weird (it was a quick job. literally just did it in 20 mintues) and he's not really going to be a mercenary in this roleplay but I wanted to post something so you can have time to look over it. @Quillicious

With family lineage tracing back to ancient England, Germany, and many other cultures, Baldwin has the vigor and appearance of a seasoned Marine. Although living in the future, he still retains many of his ancestor's tracking traits-- such as the ability to keep quiet while moving and blowing his nose without using too much paper. When alone, he's the funny type, although not on purpose. You know, he's 'that guy': the one that stutters when he talks, the guy who runs into walls and backs up into people on accident, although he's absolutely far from being shy.


Despite his intimidating apperance and his slight stuttering problem, Baldwin tries to be approachable in his mannerisms and his posture. If he finds himself slouching or hunching over he'll instinctivley correct himself. Coming from a disprivilaged family made him more particular about his presence, but some remenants of the life he had growing up still show in parts of his personality and habits .Some might say that Baldwin is an unorthodox character for someone in his line of work, but he really just thinks of his 'work' as individual adventures. He's only been in the business for a few years and as such has yet to make some strong connections so he really doesn't know what the hell he's doing. He's gotten a few jobs from MercNet and has made some currency that way, but most have been just parents looking to bring home their kids or divorcees looking to make quick cash from estranged spouses. Cookie isn't complaining of course; he's just after enough money to pay his child support and the rent.


Baldwin has fiery amber eyes that almost seem to glow in low light and ebony brown hair shaved to part on one side. His dirt concealed face sometimes intimidates others-- although he can be somewhat oblivious to those sort of social cues. (art by brotherostavia on DeviantArt). As for his armor, Baldwin is equipped with a medium-type infantry style complete with custom holsters for his combat knives and a back strap that carries his heavy weapon.

Personality Considered a visionary as he sees and usually seizes opportunities, Baldwin is easily a leader figure among a small group of people but he often lacks empathy at a personal and emotional level, which is why he may appear hostile to the people around him and is sometimes seen as unstable or unworthy. He's easily bored and tends to get depressed if his intellect is not stimulated in some way even it's something as small as a crossword puzzle. He enjoys speaking to a group of people in a powerful way and often times his speeches or small tangents turn into an acedote on the current situation. Constantly gathering and spreading new knowledge is seen as a hobby of his but he can come off as brash and egocentric when expressing it. He's an intellectual by nature despite his gruff exterior. Some veterans of the mercenary trade could call him out as being a 'poser' or someone who has not fully earned his stripes, so to speak, as he does have a strong naïve air about him especially when in conversation about weapons or anything technological. Due to his intellect, he's not extremely sexual or material by nature but he appreciates the finer people things in life. Unfortunately, Baldwin can be a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde depending on his mood or if he is unable to show his ideas to anyone that considers him worthy of their respect. He does struggle with self-identity and without being able to showcase his mercenary skills like he used to, he has developed somewhat of an inferiority complex that is unhealthily dependent on what his peers think of him. At his worst, he may even seem rather psychopathic. Baldwin generally believes that he has his personal power because of insight and knowledge, to put it bluntly. That's not to say he isn't proficient in weapons-- he loves his guns-- but he would strongly prefer to solve issues with cleverness and wit rather than wasting bullets. This is another point in how he could be seen as an authority figure. However, he is firm if things are deadlocked and he doesn't see a way out or he can't figure out a way to escape the current situation quickly enough. In these situations, he considerably panics and whips out a weapon to resolve things, frequently not taking the time to analyze the opposite parties' loadout, which lands him in trouble. He has a relatively good memory, maybe better than most. Sometimes he can even be described as having a photographic memory. He could be described as being a perfectionist, no doubt in certain areas, and these tendencies present themselves as small quirks, such as always combing his hair a certain way or always cleaning his armor after he uses it. It could be that he's always thinking about something and needs to take his mind off of it, or maybe he's just really precise.


The side of Baldwin that everyone sees is his realistic and straightforward persona. How he is fair and wants to be thanked for his efforts no matter how small. He's egocentric and, at times, bratty however he is respectful of others but loyal to his own cause. They would see that he is specific and especially thrifty and practical although he'll splurge on the latest trend if it's to his liking. In relationships, he is controlling, dominating, and tends to be rough with his words.



History Born on Earth during a new millennia, Baldwin saw the ushering in of new technology and the extinction of old. His father was a day laborer at a toy factory and his mother was a seamstress working at a small shop in downtown Chicago, Illinois. They were married but separated, as with the birth of Baldwin came financial stress on the couple and it became too much for them to bear. As a result of the separation, Baldwin grew up in the lower socioeconomic class. He developed a deep caring for his mother and a dislike for his father, as much as he tried to see him after work. As a child, Baldwin was easily amused by little toys and activities such as coloring or drawing. He wasn't a very active child, save for getting up to sharpen his colored pencils every hour or so. In grade school he was an average student, though excelling in art and reading classes. As he reached high school, weekly visits from his father began to taper off and when he graduated, he had stopped seeing him all together, much to Baldwin's deep disappointment. Much of who he has came to be was determined by his childhood and when he grew older, he became the breadwinner for his mother and himself. For a few years it was like that: he went to work at a construction yard and came home late most nights. His mother worked right up until her death when he turned 19. He still hasn't really recovered from that incident, and by that time his deeply-seeded disappointment morphed into an outright grudge against his father.

Problem. Kinda OP. A metric butt ton of weapons, a questionable amount of skills, and 'knowledge of any machine and its design'. I usually have 2 weapons per char, sometimes 3 max, and yours has a total of eight. Eight very powerful weapons. Would you kindly fix that?

Problem. Kinda OP. A metric butt ton of weapons, a questionable amount of skills, and 'knowledge of any machine and its design'. I usually have 2 weapons per char, sometimes 3 max, and yours has a total of eight. Eight very powerful weapons. Would you kindly fix that?

Skills: Fast and agile could use fire but cant use it good yet he found out last year also there's a 25% it working fine a 50% it damage's him and a 50% it will cause him near death the only way he could use it is if he consumes smoke(can use smoke to) and nearby fire or well smoke.

Holy fuckies a scythe. Accepted, just make sure you don't go bonkers on the fire/smoke control.

Make the posts decent, about a paragraph of 5-8 sentences each important post, less than that for dialogue. Don't just write a line or two, either.

Personality: Kara, otherwise known as the bounty hunter "Morinth", is mostly a money-driven girl. She likes getting paid, and rarely finds a job she won't do.



She isn't especially nice, but isn't bad as far as bounty hunters go. She likes to joke around, but can be insulting to those around her due to her limited social interaction.



Bio: Starting out as the prodigy of a big-time street gang wasn't easy for a young girl. Kara was forced to do horrible things from a young age, but learned to deal with her life through spray-painting and graffiti.



When the gang decided to do something big, they also decided Kara would lead the charge. The plan was to raid the police armory, giving the Gold Ghosts a huge advantage over everyone else in the area. Kara wasn't exactly looking forward to it, but there was no way to deny them what they wanted.



A week later, 17 members of the gang were dead and 41 were in jail -- Kara included. Someone sold them out, dooming the plan from the start, and landing Kara and the rest of the Gold Ghosts in prison. From that point forward, Kara was cycled in and out of various facilities around the world until finally getting out of a life of crime at the age of 19.



Then, of course, she turned to a career of bounty hunting. It didn't matter if it was retrieving an object or killing a target, Kara couldn't go without a life of action. Eventually, after making a name for herself as the huntress Morinth, Wolfe recruited her for his army. She doesn't like him, but loves the pay, so she sticks around and does what she's told.
