You are correct. She does not have overseas power. But, she has you. She can simply imprison you and cut off all your income, and then proceed to officially hand off everything you own to the Taccolan Merchant's Guild, leaving you powerless to stop her. And once she confiscates your wealth, she could simply buy your own properties off you. And I do not believe the Taccolans would object to all of this new profit.
