A Forbidden Union (Erexia & Me)

She nodded and hid in the trees slightly and changed to a human, changing into clothes which were more suitable, she quickly and talentedly stepped on to branch again happily, "So, shall we go then~?" She said, crossing her arms with her golden eyes glimmering in the small specks of sunlight.

(( Sorry. I haven't been on much lately. ))

Stretching his limbs, as if he had just woken up, he led her into the city. There were a couple of people who jerked their chins at Carlisle and Tyna, their eyebrows raised, obviously wondering where they came from, some chattering animatedly about whatever, and Carlisle? He was dashing towards the direction of a small café. It was small, but homely. It was designed as if it were a cabin. Few people lurked about in the café, so it was a bonus for anthrophobic people. "Oh, the smell of coffee!" Carlisle said animatedly, sniffing the air fondly. "This is where I go to unwind a bit. When my dad's busy being an annoying dad." He rolled his eyes in good nature, leading the lycan towards the cashier.

The way Carlisle spoke with the cashier spoke volumes. With the twinkle of familiarity in the vampire prince's eyes, it was pretty obvious that he knew the cashier very well. "Hey," Carlisle greeted the cashier rather warmly, "I'll have the usual, please!" He chirped. Amber eyes shifted towards the lycan, a little fond smile - a ghost of a smile, anyway - twirling his lips. He didn't know the reason, but he found himself getting rather fond of her. "How about you?"

Tyna looked over the menu before looking at the cashier, "Could I have an Iced Chocolate?" She asked with a small smile, she hadn't been in the city often, due to her father. She stayed quiet for most of it with a small smile.

((It's kay~ I thought as much~))

The cashier nodded at the lycan, punching in their orders. "One iced coffee for Carlisle, and one iced chocolate for the lady!" His partner nodded, taking a couple of cups and started making their orders. The cashier, Ivan, jerked his chin towards Carlisle, grinning. "That'll be $14, Car." The vampire prince fished for his wallet, slipping a twenty into the man's outstretched hand and had him keep the change. With a roll of his eyes, Ivan slipped the money into register. "Blake will bring you guys your orders, for now, take a seat!"

Carlisle grinned, leading Tyna into a booth, somewhere far from the window. Despite being surrounded by a forest, the city was sunny. He didn't want to take the risk of dying so suddenly. "Ah, this is the life," the vampire stretched his limbs, sighing in relief when he heard the pop of his bones. "I miss being here."

Tyna yawned slightly and nodded, "I've never really been into a city..." She said with a small frown. "My father never really let me after I last met a human..."

His ears perked when he heard the word 'human' - could she have met a human at the same circumstances as him? But he didn't pry further, and instead, the vampire picked a toothpick off a dispenser and started playing around with it. "My dad practically never allowed me to go out. Mainly out of fear I might die under the sunlight, but what stopped me?" He laughed, remembering the little look on his father's face when Dmitri told him he left to the city, when he was just by the corner, trying to gauge a reaction from the king. He was so furious when he heard Dmitri, but he saw red when he noticed a tuft of Carlisle's hair peeking out. It was kind of easy spotting the prince - he was practically the only one who kept his hair in a rather... interesting hairstyle.

"My mom just allows me to do so. As long as I don't bring home a pet wolf, then it's fine." His cheeks tinged when he remembered that... odd experience. When he was fourteen - in human age - he had just came home from a hunt, fatigued and all that. He had a long trek home, and when he came home... there was a wolf following him around. Oh how he'd been tempted to name it Moon Moon. He managed to take care of the wolf for half a day before his mother found out about it. It was... odd.

Tyna smiled slightly, "Well, my father forbid me to go into a human city, my mother wouldn't argue with him and my siblings wee overly loyal to the family code. Me on the other hand, waited for him to take the pack out hunting before darting away into the city. It was the weirdest thing I've ever been in, luckily it wasn't a full moon the night I went in, I was walking the streets. I was honestly surprised to see humans out so late at night..." She said, about to continue before she paused, a slight expression of pain flashing in her eyes.

"Humans and I..." he sighed, pausing briefly when Eric, Ivan's partner, settled their orders in front of them. His had 'Peasant' written in Sharpie on the bottle, and Tyna's had 'The Peasant's Lady' on it. Rolling his eyes, and sending Ivan a glare, he took his iced coffee from the table. Ivan sent him a wink and tended to other people's orders. "We don't get along much, but there are some... exceptions." He jerked a thumb towards the two workers. "And... some girl I met back then--" his eyes clouded with remorse and guilt, his face paling a little bit. Oh, how he'd missed her. But she's gone - and by his own fangs, at that.

She looked at him with a small frown, "It looks like we both fell for a humans charm...." She said with a small sigh, "Both in our own ways, but we both fell inlove with a human...." She looked at her iced chocolate and started to drink it. "When I walked into the city that night, I met a boy, he was lovely.... Kind, not like what my father told me humans were like... His name was Jason...." She said, frowning more. "We were best friends, until he followed me into the forest one day with a friend... They found out I was a lycan... Before...." She stopped, her breath breaking as she held back tears.

Within a second, he was by her side, rubbing soothing circles on her back. He had an idea of what happened. And he wasn't going to ask. "It's alright." He told her. But he knew she wasn't alright. He wasn't, too, when Anya tried to coax him out of his room back then. Back when Ana was still... his heart clenched a little. "I had, more or less, a similar experience... she... we were close... u-until I..." Seriously, Carlisle, he scolded himself, choking - you wussy! "Sometimes, I think humans and us cannot live together in one world... but who knows... maybe somebody - probably one of us - will change it."

"I-I guess so..." Tyna said, choking on her own tears weakly. "I just.... I don't understand the war... Just because our two kinds are different.... Doesn't mean we should be fighting..." She growled at herself, realizing she had said the exact same as Jason had to her two days before he was killed. She shook her head weakly.

"Exactly," the vampire told her, though a little unconvinced himself. No matter how many times he keeps trying to tell himself that different species does not necessarily mean they should be at war. But no one shared the ideal other than the lycan... he sighed a little, reaching in for his iced coffee to soothe his nerves. He wasn't exactly a great person to confide with. He was the one who confide, not the one who is confided! He was making an attempt here, and it was hard. "Maybe those people will be us? The one who'll change our kinds' view?" He tried to pass it off as a suggestion, but he knew he hoped it was them.

Tyna looked up at him, slipping her iced chocolate, her eyes gleamed with hope, but the tiniest bit of sadness. "I image we could, but it would take a lot of work... We'd have to convince our parents somehow, I mean... I would have to convince my father only, my mother doesn't mind vampires too much... I don't think... She didn't seem to be half as angry as my father was when I told him I found a vampire when I was younger...."

"Well, the most difficult ones are fathers." He admitted, reminding himself about his father. No doubt he'd sent a search team for him right now. He could very well assume his mother trying to tell the king that he was fine, but his father was as stubborn as he was, so it's probably up to no use. "Mothers... not so much." He sipped his iced coffee, feeling a bit more awake as the caffeine seeped into his veins. Contrary to popular beliefs, vampires do have blood, and human blood is simply to replenish their energies, and well, normal human food can satisfy their hunger, but without blood, they wouldn't have the energy to move. Think of it as carbohydrates. Vampire blood tastes bland, but sometimes, when they can't get a kill, they may turn to their brethren and feed from them. But the taste? It sucked. "C'mon, drink up. We have lots of days to waste."

Tyna nodded before drinking her drink a bit faster, she looked outside with a small frown. "Yeah, I guess... Knowing my father he'd disown me then send my brothers to kill me..." She said with a frown, "My mother would protect me, even though it was her idea to use me as human bait..."

"Do you want more of those?" the vampire gestured towards her drink, feeling a little uncomfortable with the subject. He did use himself as a bait without his parents' consent. In his defense, he had to do it, otherwise, the humans might kill them off, too. Humans were not exactly the smartest of the bunch, so that's probably why they didn't see through his intentions, even though he had been so clear. Were they as thick as they really were? The vampire curled his fingers around the glass, the dampness of the glass, due to the coolness of the drink, and lifted it close to his lips. His eyes were trained outside, though. A little bit of fear flashing in his eyes when the outline of a man began to trail closer into the cafe.

He knew that face anywhere. The pale skin, the amber eyes he'd inherited, the constant frown on his lips, and the dark tresses... he was a slightly older version of his son. Though he was a bit puzzled when the king himself was out in the sun, as if it didn't bother him at all. He gritted his teeth lightly, shielding his face from the vampire king's view, probably puzzling his companion. Let her be puzzled. Alaric Lee surely didn't know Tyna, right...? It was true, since Alaric shifted his gaze towards the vampire, but Carlisle kept his head low, his eyes high enough to gaze at the vampire king. The king huffed haughtily, ordering a drink before stalking off to a booth, a couple of seats across from them. The vampire kept his head low, making sure the king doesn't see his face. Alaric knew his face very well - looking at him was like looking at a mirror. And it unnerved him.

"Whatever you do..." he whispered towards his lycan companion. "Don't you ever look at the table two seats from us. He might recognize you. He likes going out for his afternoon coffee... I think."

She shook her head slightly, "No thanks...." She paused, glancing over slightly and looking away, too fast for anyone to notice she was looking. She paused slightly, hearing a voice and placing her ear on the cafe window, eyes widening. "Crap..." She uttered quietly, looking out the window and tried to get on the right angle, noticing two, relatively tall boys with darkish skin walking down the road before pausing a shop before the cafe, She caught one boys words.

"What's the chance that Little Fang is still alive?" One of them chuckled, revealing it was the taller one, who had dark orange/red hair and ice blue eyes. He was about 7'8", and muscular build. Another voice chuckled slightly, Tyna couldn't see who it was because the man was out of her line of sight.

Alaric's amber eyes flicked towards him. In his haste to get rid of the king's stare, the younger vampire hide his face with the menu rather nonchalantly. He hummed to himself, drawing attention away from him as he appeared to survey through the cafe's menu. Honestly, it would have worked, if it weren't for him keeping his eyes straight on one text, which made his father cock an eyebrow.

Alaric had his nose up in the air haughtily, surveying the little quaint cafe. If Dmitri was right, then this would be the cafe his heir would always go to. He had no other reason to be here. It was early in the morning when he found out his son - his heir - was taken by the humans, and one of the maids was too traumatized to even spill the beans about his amber-eyed son, so it was fruitless. He had to find his son himself. His... men were being incompetent fools as they usually were. His hand shot up to his coffee, not bothering to test if it was hot. If it was, he wouldn't even care. While vampires may feel physical pain, they usually push it to the back of their minds, making them seem invincible. But Carlisle? He was as childish as he was the youngest of the pack. He had flimsy reflexes - while powerful, compared to the average vampire, but he was still slow. Too slow to be a king.

Sometimes, the boy worried him. He didn't know if the child stands a chance against a real fight. Sure, he always won with spars, since he was gifted with many areas--i.e., illusions, flight, super senses, etcetera--but he was only a bit above average. He wasn't as powerful as him. Nor his mother. Sipping the hot beverage, he let his gaze shift towards the young man sitting two seats from him, with whom he assumed as his girlfriend. He had a scent that pulled him towards him, a force that was much too powerful compared to a normal human. To a normal human, they wouldn't feel the force, but to a vampire... you could feel it very well. It was well masked, alright, but Alaric knew better. Oddly, his presence felt like Carlisle's. And Carlisle had a distinct presence... Alaric narrowed his eyes, suspicious. He turned his attention towards the woman. And without warning, he nearly snarled when he caught a whiff of a werewolf's scent. But he bit his tongue. He didn't want to draw attention as it is.

(( AAAAAAND Alaric's point of view. ))

Tyna paused, ears twitching faintly, which was abnormal even for a Lycan. She was still listening to the boys, hoping the man that her companion said to look at wouldn't cause any trouble. She growled under her breath as the two boys entered the shop.

The shorter boy had russet grey hair, even though he looked around 19. He had a scar under his left eye, running towards his ear. Both of the boys had slight stubble, and seemed to be talking to each other quietly, looking at the menu. The shorter boy spoke up, "So, what now Demetre?" He chuckled, the taller one looked around the cafe slowly, sniffing the air and cruckling his nose.

((Now just to think of the shorter ones name xD I'll get it~))

(( Levi? xD It's a cool name. owo ))

Alaric set his gaze heavy onto the newcomers, a hiss threatening to come out of his throat. Oh, their scent was werewolf, alright. He bit his tongue, however, sipping his black joe as if he had no care in the world. It was false, though. He cared. He cared a lot. He cared more than he can account for. And that was why he gets so frustrated when his son just goes out without even a little warning. For all he knew, Carlisle may be tortured, but with the boy's tongue, he was pretty adamant that his captors might hate him. Again, he gazed back towards the young man buried deep into the menu, as if finding everything he could see interesting.

Frankly, he didn't care about the young man's fixation with the menu. But he did care about his... presence. Was he really Carlisle? He wanted to know. He wanted to know if his son was fine. No matter how much of a jerk he is towards his son, he still cared about his own flesh and blood. Marie had a fit earlier, when she found out her 'baby' was gone. Despite the little tension between him and his youngest, it was obvious they cared about each other. Their personalities, though, were so alike that they clashed. They both had no care in the world. They were arrogant, they were cocky. They were determined. They weren't afraid to pull up ranks when situation calls for it. They were bossy... they were so alike that it scared the king a little.

Not wanting to pussyfoot a bit longer - or to seem like a stalker, Alaric stood, crossing the distance between him and the young man with long, graceful strides. "Excuse me," his voice, low, cracked a little from lack of use. He hadn't been speaking since this morning, and he'd only pointed to the black joe when he ordered. "Is your name, by chance, Carlisle?" He asked the young man.

Carlisle tensed, however. He gripped the menu tighter in his hands, telling himself that the more he ignored the man, the more chance he will go. A couple of minutes passed, and the man didn't exactly leave yet. His eyes were probing, searching for anything to use against him. One wrong word, and he's dead. Thanking his lucky stars for looking... unpresentable - compared to what his father was used to, anyway - the vampire tore his gaze from the menu and met Alaric's probing amber gaze with his own. He plastered a smile on his face, for show. "No, sir," he lied smoothly. smiling up at the king. He had to make himself believable or else Alaric might find out. He doesn't even know why he didn't want to go with his father yet. "My name is Christian, sir. I don't know any Carlisle." Despite the ironic name--he wasn't even a Christian, he was proud of his little lie. He looked believable, right?

Alaric looked disappointed, but he pursed his lips anyway, dipping his head. "Of course." The king said slowly, probing the younger vampire's similar amber orbs. He sounded like he didn't even believe him. Alaric and Carlisle looked almost exactly like each other and it was unnerving. "I apologize. I must go back to my seat, then. Sorry for interrupting your... date."

((Perfect~!))

Demetre glanced down at Levi before looking over at Tyna and Carlisles way. "'Eeeey... Bro', look at that girl over there... She looks so much like Little Fang~!" He said, not thinking of keeping his voice down until his brother got up onto his tippytoes and smacked Demetre in the head. "Oww, fiiine..."

Tyna froze as she heard her nickname from her older brothers, she swore to herself, She dug her claws into her chair while drinking her drink, hoping that the boys wouldn't notice her. Levi glanced over at her as well, before smirking at her. It was the childish smirk he'd always give her younger sister, he nudged his younger brother, getting his attention before whispering something up to him.

(I donno if I said that Levi is older than Demetre, but he is xD )

(( Lycan bros! > :D I think Carly's gonna have fun with 'em~ xD ))

Carlisle's ears perked, just registering two new voices. Was he hiding from Alaric that much that he hadn't heard anything else? He furrowed his brows, his lips setting down in a downcast frown. There were two young men, looking a bit his age or so. He cocked an eyebrow, sniffing a scent of werewolves. Or lycans. He wasn't sure if there was actually a difference. He glanced at his iced beverage, frowning in displeasure when he found out it was finished, and excused himself for another glass.

Oh. He didn't miss Alaric's glance, either. The king had his gaze trained on him, with a coldness that he was familiar with. It was his famous look. Even though he wanted to disagree with the maids that his father looked handsome even with a stern expression, he knew they were right. Alaric is a handsome man. Walking past the two newcomers, he spared them a curious glance and went up to Ivan's spot, where he was doodling on a piece of napkin. Cocking a brow, he cleared his throat, gathering the cashier's attention. "Another one of the iced coffee, Ivan. With extra whipped cream and chocolate syrup. No, I won't say please or anything. You don't tell me what to do." The cashier rolled his eyes, hollering at his friend the vampire's order, and in hushed tones, he grumbled. "I don't even tell you what to do..."

Carlisle, pretending that he hadn't heard his comment, decided to wait for his iced coffee by his spot, chatting with the cashier rather animatedly.

Levi glanced as the vampire moved away before looking over at his sister with a cheesy grin, starting to walk over to where she was and leaned against her shoulders happily, whispering into her ear, "'Ello Sis... We thought you'd be dead~ What are you doing with a vampire~? Daddy would kiiiiiill you~" He teased, patting her head slightly, hoping for a reaction, but Tyna ignored her oldest brother with ease, sipping her drink with a blank expression.

Demetre frowned slightly, walking up to the cashier to order something for him and Levi. Just asking for two milkshakes, one lime and one strawberry. He glanced back at his brother and sister with a small scowl, hoping that Levi was trying to convince his younger sister to come back to the pack. He frowned more as he saw Tyna nearly snap Levis neck, forcing the older brother to back off with a small frown, walking back to Demetre. "Nope, Little Fang there is being too stubborn, she says she's on a mission and isn't allowed to leave her post. Hah, she's gone crazy..."

With a sharp glance to the side, he failed to notice the elder vampire leave the premises. He frowned a little, wondering where the vampire went. Carlisle, however, paused when he noticed Alaric's retreating figure from the glass windows. He raised his eyebrows, grabbing his iced coffee - not before seeing the 'Carly is definitely a potato' stamped across the bottle - and stalked back off to his previous spot. He frowned deeply at the two lycans retreating back to the cashier - not that he knew they were lycans, anyway - and cocked an eyebrow. "Who were they?" He asked, curious, sliding back into the booth, amber eyes trained on them in curiosity. "Brothers?"

The vampire had realized that he wasn't meant to pry, but he was curious, anyway. There was a saying that curiosity killed the cat. But dogs can be curious, too, right? The more he thought about that saying, the more he got confused. He shook his head, ridding himself of the unimportant thoughts and frowned lightly, sipping his icy drink. "My dad just left... uh... I don't know why, though." And he doesn't know why he shared this information either.
