Alexandra Romano
Alexandra bit her lip as Conor told her he had nothing to bring about the downfall of her father. She could see that the events of that war still played heavily on his heart as it did with everyone involved. It was an unnessecary was that should never have happened or carried on to the extent that it did. She knew none of her words would comfort him in this moment and so decided against speaking up to inform him of what she had meant and how strong he was even if he himself didn’t believe it.

She watched as Conor clearly was taken by shock at her statement of being involved but she meant it. She wasn’t going to become one of his soldiers and fight everything but when it was time she was going to kill that cow Ciara. Alex looked back at Conor as he gave her the warning and she bit her lip again. “I won’t go behind his back and there’s only one thing I want in on” she told him before sighing as she dug a lump of grass out with her hand. “I want to be the one that does it” she told him, knowing that Conor would pick up on what she meant. “Jackson can fight me for it all her want but she was my sister and she didn’t deserve this”

As the two of them arrived, she noticed how nervous Tommy seemed to look. Without a doubt, doing this investigative work behind James' back was nerve wrecking for him. Hell, it was slightly nerve wrecking for herself but she was used to it. A part of her regretted putting him in this predicament and thought to tell him he didn't have to do this. But, when he opened the door and led her inside the jazz club, she realized he was a big boy and if he wanted to go, he would say so.

Seeing that Harrison wasn't at the door made her feel a bit worried that something else may have happened to him. But as they reached the bar and she saw him manning it, a relief settled within her. Mostly because if anything more had happened to him, that would mean she would never get the information she needed and all the sneaking behind James' back would have been for nothing. She took a seat and leaned across the bar top. "How's the face doing? Better I hope." She asked, checking on his well-being before anything else. Just because she acted cold and heartless didn't mean she was. "I've recruited Tommy here in helping find out who did this to you. He's sworn to secrecy, so don't worry. Now, what information can you give us?"

The blonde was more than relieved when James announced that their little meeting was over. He smiled warmly her way as they both got up from their seats. Once out of her seat Lucy listened as her husband reassured Ciara that she wouldn't be getting what she wants. A smirk showed on her lips as he slipped an arm around her waist and led her away from the table. As James paid for their drinks and ordered two coffees, Lucy raised an eyebrow in curiosity. She didn't say anything as they walked out to the car together, having a feeling that they were about to discuss the information about Kieran. Lucy nodded her head in agreement as James stated what they needed to do about Eli. He was in a dangerous situation that he wasn't aware of. Eli trusted Ciara and that was a mistake. "We will get him back James." She reassured him as she watched him check the engine of the vehicle. Leaning against the passenger door, she watched him closely. With someone like James, simple actions like this were more than what they appeared. Clearly, he was thinking, that much she could tell.

After a moment, she opened the door and sat down in the passenger seat, patiently waiting and sipping on her coffee. Closing the door on herself, she waited still only moving when James finally sat down beside her in the car. Noting that he didn't start the car, Lucy turned to him slowly, expecting what he would say. Letting out a weak smile, she nodded as he said that this would be the only time they had to discuss other things. They really didn't have time alone anymore, only finding time between trips now. Lucy's lips pursed as she thought about that for a moment, only allowing herself to stop when James continued on about Kieran. She listened carefully as he explained what Kieran had agreed to do for the family and she couldn't help but see the man in a whole new light. She wasn't too sure how she felt, but he was family, sending him to the crazed bitch was the last thing she wanted to do. Before she had a chance to say anything about it though, James added that he was wanting to train Syd starting tomorrow.

A strangled type of sigh escaped her after James finished speaking. Lucy couldn't find the words at first. She knew it would be difficult to let their children get involved with the business, but she hadn't expected it to be so soon. Taking a quick drink of her coffee, the look she gave her husband was a clear indicator that she was not happy with any of this. Her family was once again having to interrupt the balance that they created for themselves all because of Ciara. Lucy didn't want Syd to have to train. "I don't want him doing it James." Lucy said in a firm voice. "Syd I mean..." She added, not wanting to confuse Kieran and Syd up. "Kieran is an adult, I can't have much say in what he wants to do for the family, however, my mother is sure to have a cow about it. Sending another family member to the slaughter house is how this will look." Her eyes looked to James knowing that this would be the first time they disagreed on something in a while. "Syd shouldn't have to gear up for any kind of war James, he's just a kid." Lucy voice shook once again, knowing in the back of her mind that this argument would most likely not end in her favor. "We moved here to get away from all of that! To get away from psycho's like that crazy bitch in there!" The panic rose in her voice slightly as she continued, "First its training, then its job, then its injuries and pretty soon he's going to end up in a world of hurt like we have been trying to avoid for years...or dead." Her voice grew small as she uttered the possibility of Syd dying because of the business.

Conor Sullivan and Savannah Callahan

Savannah sighed when Syd told her Skye wasn't around. She would have to catch her tomorrow instead. She did smile when he said the nanny would miss her too much though. She loved her brother and sister, but it was nice to get away from them at times as she always felt pushed into the background when they were around, especially boisterous Emery. When Syd said he was heading off to bed, she quickly nodded her head. "Ooooh. Dinner," she enthused, but she was really thinking of the fact there would be milkshake in the fridge. "We won't feed the dogs. I promise. I'm always good!" she assured him with a sweet smile.

Once Syd had gone, Savannah turned to Michelle and grinned. "So we're having some milkshake, yes?" she playfully asked.

Conor was glad to hear Alex wouldn't go behind James' back. The family had looked past the crimes of Alex's family and welcomed her into their home now. The last thing he wanted was for there to be any falling out between them. He understood she wanted to be the one to kill Ciara as they all believed the woman was to blame for Fallon's death. He nodded his head, not even considering telling her she couldn't be the one to kill her. It wasn't his choice to make, but he'd just be glad for the woman to get what was coming to her. "At this rate, we may need to hold a raffle to see who gets to kill her. The bitch has got a fair few targets on her back right now, I can tell you."

1523993834713-png.428090
Rubbing his hands together, Conor decided they'd spent long enough out in the cold. He stood up and then reached his hands out to Alex to help her to her feet. "I don't know about you, but I need to go warm up inside. Besides which, I shouldn't keep my back turned on a house full of teenagers and little kids for too long. The Porters don't like a messy house," he remarked. Conor instinctively placed his hand around Alex's shoulder before his mind caught up and he realised what he was doing. Still, he looked to her face and if she was cool with the gesture, he'd keep his arm where it was.

The two adults entered the kitchen just in time to see Savannah drop a carton of milk onto the floor. Luckily, there hadn't been much left inside but it still caused a puddle of white liquid to form inches away from the child's feet. "Oops!" Savannah said, placing her hand over her mouth as she backed away from the spillage so it didn't touch her feet.

"Ahhh, you're in for it now, Savvy! Your uncle James is going to kick your butt, kiddo," Conor playfully told her. He then motioned for his daughter and niece to move away from the spillage and towards Alex. "You ladies just stand there and watch. I'll clean up, shall I?" he teased as he started mopping up the spillage. "Jeez..." he trailed off.

Savannah covered her mouth again as she laughed at Conor's playful grumbling. She then moved her hands away from her mouth and looked up to Alex, sending her a smile. "It was an accident," she assured her. She briefly glanced to Conor before looking back to Alex. "Are you Conor's girlfriend again now?" she curiously asked. "My mum said you all knew each other ages ago, when you lived in Chicago. And she said you're Italian." She then bit her lip as she thought of another question. "I'm part Italian. Did you know my Italian dad?" she curiously asked. "He lived in Chicago too."

Alexandra And Michelle Romano
Michelle listened as Savvy talked to a guy about her nanny, she liked the sound of the nanny especially since Savvy talked so highly of her and she couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed when she found out, Skye wasn’t there.
When Savvy mentioned milkshakes Michelle’s eyes lit up “off course we are” she squealed excitedly. When Savvy dropped the milk , Michelle let out a giggle but it quickly turned into an “oh oh” as her parents arrived into the kitchen “will you make Milkshakes aswell?” She asked her father while he cleaned up “I bet your really good at it but I have to be the judge of that” she teased, Michelle was unaware of the conversation happening beside her between her mother and Savvy.

Alex looked down at the girls as Savvy dropped the milk and allowed a smile to play on her lips “don’t worry, it’s time he was put to use” she said motioning to Conor. When she asked if her and Conor were going out again, Alex didn’t actually know what to say and looked towards Conor for help. Were they? She was all for the idea but she needed to have that talk with him instead of guessing and somehow screwing it up.

When Savannah asked about her father, Alex looked back to the child with a fond smile on her face. While the Sullivans knew Angel as a monster, Alex had always been so fond of him, he was family to her and she knew him as such. She didn’t know how much the child knew about her father but guessed it was only good things from her mother.

“I am Italian” she informed the child “and yes I knew our father Giovanni very well, he was like family to me” she told her gently. While she knew the Sullivans hated him and probably tried not to mention him much, Alex knew it would be unhealthy for Savannah not to talk about her father and clearly by mentioning it to Alex she wanted to know or at least talk about him to someone

Thomas Dempsey

Tommy took in the bruises on Harrison's face, seeing the guys who jumped him had really done a number on the guy. As Aliana sat at the bar, Tommy remained standing by her side as he listened to her speaking with the club bouncer.

"Ahh, the face is doing just fine. My girlfriend wasn't amused when I got home looking like this, though. Figured I'm safer here than back at the house getting an earful," he joked, trying to make light of the situation. However, when Aliana moved on to the matter at hand, he knew he could only be serious about the information he had to give her. "Nice to see you again, Tommy," he regarded the young man. It didn't take a genius to see Tommy had the hots for Aliana, but he wasn't about to embarrass him over it. Instead, he stood straight and let out a sigh. "I don't think you two will need to do much searching. I've got plenty of information for you and I don't think you'll want to go sniffing around it, not after what I've been hearing today.. The guys who attacked me are called Carl and Joseph. They work over at the textile mill - one of the Irish Workers Union's places. A couple of heavies who've likely never actually operated any of that machinery before... I'm not sure you should be getting involved in this one," he told Aliana and Tommy. "I'm also pretty confident it was far too easy for me to find this information, which probably means the IWU wanted us to know."

James Porter

1523993792593-png.428089
It didn't take a genius to see Lucy wasn't happy with what James had just told her. If any confirmation was needed, it was given when she firmly told him she didn't want Syd training. The conversation briefly moved back to Kieran, who she said she couldn't stop but clearly wasn't impressed with the idea either. "Kieran is an adult and I've made sure he's certain about doing this, that he knows it's risky. He's on board with it. And I know Shannon is going to kick off at me for it, but we have to get smart with this. We need to stop Ciara in any way we can."

James kept his eyes on Lucy as he took a drink from his coffee cup. He knew what was coming but he also knew his wife deserved the opportunity to speak up and express her thoughts on what he'd told her. He heard the shakiness in her voice as she spoke of how they'd come to Ireland to escape trouble. To escape the Hell they'd endured at the hands of the Romanos. He was about to counter her argument, but the panic in her voice was evident and reassuring her came first. "Luce..." he began. He put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close before kissing the top of her head. "I had no idea this was going to happen. We were safe and our family was safe. I didn't know this shit would go down and I would have stopped Ciara before she had chance to do any harm. If I'd known."

James reluctantly removed his arm from around Lucy and sat back so he could return to the discussion about Syd. "He's 18, Luce. He's not a child anymore and he wants to train. If he didn't, then I wouldn't have him do it. Surely it's better I train him now that we have a fight on our hands. If something happens, I want to know he has a chance at fighting back." He shook his head and sighed as the thought of one of their kids dying stuck in his mind. "I'd rather know he has a fighting chance if shit does kick off. I'm sorry, Luce, but he's doing it," he firmly told her. He hated disagreeing with his wife, but he believed what he was doing was right.

Peter nodded his head as he agreed to ask Shannon to keep an eye on the kiddos. Once that was said and done, they headed out to the club where Grant was still hanging around at. It would be clear that after tonight, Grant would not be allowed at their establishment or any of the Porter establishments. Peter gave a small smile to Kev as they seemed to have saved him from some sort of trouble with Grant. He nodded his head as he joked about working hard and that Grant was distracting him. He was sure that Kev would support the decision to get rid of the bugger. "Evening Grant." Peter said to the man neutrally as they stepped inside Sinead's office. Once the door was closed, Peter continued to let the man speak before ignoring his pleasantries all together. Allowing Sinead to sit in her own desk chair, he stood tall to the side of her. "Sit." Was all Peter said to Grant as he leaned against the back wall.

"She keeps me on my toes, but it seems I have failed to keep you on yours." He said lowly, watching the man with eyebrows furrowed as he took a deep breath. "Sinead tells me you haven't been giving her an option when it comes to gigs? She also tells me that you threatened her career if you didn't get your way?" Peter paused to let the man give him some pathetic excuse, if he could even muster one. Peter held his hand up to silence him after a minute and then brought the hand to pinch the bridge of his nose as he circled around the table, head down as he shook it. Leaning against Sinead's desk now, right in front of her, he blocked Grant's view of the woman. He sighed again and smiled lightly, laughing as if Grant had just told him something funny. "I'm a nice reasonable man Grant, but fuck with my baby, and we are going to have some problems." He stated honestly before casually stretching his arms to his side, pulling back his coat to reveal his hand gun safely tucked in its holster.

"we aren't going to have a problem now are we, Grant?"

Lucy swallowed hard as she listened to James speak about Syd's choices and if he didn't want to do this, he wouldn't have forced him to. The fact that her son was now ready to step up to the plate was a little overwhelming for her. She felt like she hadn't had enough time with her kids. They grew up far too fast for her liking. Today's conversation with Ciara had done nothing to soothe her nerves for the safety of her children, she was just a bundle waiting to snap. Sucking in a deep breath as James firmly told her that Syd would be training, it sounded so final that she almost, almost didn't argue back. He was the boss after all, well if she was thinking more like that , she wouldn't have opened her mouth to say, "No no no no no. I don't want him doing this James! He's 18, when I was his age I couldn't make adult decisions." She tried to reason out of desperation, partially knowing that what James said in terms of business, goes. Lucy didn't want to face it, she didn't want Syd to have to experience all that.

"And no matter how old they get, they will always be our children James. You can't sit here and tell me that it doesn't scare you to death, seeing things begin to take a turn like this, knowing that now we have more than just ourselves to worry about." Lucy clenched her jaw as she continued to find a way for things to be different, for her son not to begin training. "I just want a few more years with them." She admitted, including their daughters into the conversation as well. "I miss them being smaller, I miss not having to worry as much about them." She looked over to James, her eyes a bit damp with tears. "Lilah's dating, only god knows what Mal is up to lately and Syd wants to train...its all happening really really fast and I'm not sure how I am able to take it." Ciara was the reason for all of this, and it only fueled the anger Lucy felt towards the bitch. Lucy was beginning to sympathize with her sister a bit more, realizing that she had been put through the same thing the other day. Knowing she would be sympathetic about this matter, she would make an effort to seek her out, especially since James and her now seemed to be at crossroads.

"I don't want him involved James." She said, letting out a shaky breath as she did, her final attempt to try and fight what she knew she couldn't win.

Sinead Callahan

1523995962823-png.428106
Grant could tell by Peter's initial abruptness that Sinead had told him about their earlier conversation. Still, he was surprised to see a more abrupt and serious side to the man. Then Peter brought up the fact he'd threatened Sinead's career if she didn't take the gig he'd arranged. "I think there's been a misunderstanding. It's my job to get her gigs and I secured a venue for her. It was last minute and I didn't think she'd mind. But then she started kicking off saying I should have asked first. What I meant was another opportunity like this might not come up again, that's all."

"No, you were very clear in threatening to stop me from getting more gigs. Don't lie," Sinead spoke up. She was appalled he'd deny it to Peter and right in front of her face.

Grant shifted a little uncomfortably as Sinead called him out followed by Peter obscuring his view of the redhead. He raised a curious eyebrow when the man started laughing. But then he was threatened and warned against fucking with Sinead, before being shown the gun Peter had on him. Sinead remained oblivious to the weapon her husband had displayed. Grant scratched the back of his neck before shaking his head. "No, Peter. We're not going to have a problem," he conceded, glancing once more to the gun. With Sinead being so detached from her family's business, Grant had perhaps overlooked the fact she was related to the Irish Mob. "Look, Sinead. I'm sorry for pressuring you like that. Do you want to do the gig or not?" he asked.

"I'll think about it, Grant," Sinead said, standing up and taking a step closer to the man whilst folding her arms. "I'll call you, alright?" she said, to which he nodded. "And control your damn tongue in the future. Learn some manners and respect!" she berated him. Grant simply nodded his head and left the office pretty quickly with his tail between his legs.

Once the door was closed, Sinead turned to Peter and stepped close to him. She looked up to his face and loosely rested her arms around his neck, tiptoeing to kiss him on the lips. "Check you out, my hero," she playfully told him. She was relieved things hadn't turned messy and Grant had been subdued relatively easily. It also surprised her how much she liked seeing this side of Peter. "I'm the luckiest girl around to have you," she told him, a hint of flirtation in her voice.

James Porter

1523993792593-png.428089
James pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a frustrated breath as Lucy continued to disagree with him. It wasn't that she wasn't allowed to argue as they'd always had a relationship where things were open for discussion and their opinions were equally important. It was the fact they were finding themselves in this situation at all, where he would risk upsetting her and going ahead with something she didn't want. "I believe he's old enough to make adult decisions. The four of them will always be our children and I'll always want to protect them, but Syd's an adult now." James quickly shook his head. "Of course it scares me, Luce. I've spent the last ten years afraid that I could make one wrong decision and bring danger to our family. Danger has found its way to us now and what I'm afraid of is that our kids will be too weak to defend themselves. I mean, look at Sinead. She was shielded and protected from the shit that went on around her, so when she did get dragged into it she was a scared and confused wreck."

"I don't like it much either, but our kids are growing up. Syd is ready to train, he wants to train and I want to train him," he firmly told Lucy. When she reaffirmed she didn't want Syd involved, James shook his head and placed his empty coffee cup in the holder. He finally started the car engine so he could drive home and away from the cafe they'd had to endure a meeting with Ciara in. Before he set off, James looked look Lucy. His eyes reflected the same kind of worries she was having, but his expression was one of certainty. "I'm just going to train him to fight and defend himself. I won't send him out on jobs or anything like that. I just need to know if something did happen, he'd stand a chance at coming out of it alive."

James finally set off driving back home, expecting the journey to be an awkward one now...

The car ride home was silent, as was expected seeing as the Porter's were a stubborn couple. On the car ride home, Lucy kept looking out the passenger window, thinking about going home to their kids. As far as she was concerned, she didn't have any other plans for the evening and of course the children weren't allowed to leave the property for the evening so it was perfect. Whether Lucy liked it or not, Syd would be training, which James made clear. He had reassured her that he would not be assigned on any jobs but with Kieran being recruited to be a mole for them, she wasn't so sure she believed her husband. Desperate times would call for desperate measures...that's how she got involved back in Chicago. She was much older than Syd and she failed miserably the first time. Lucy took into consideration that their son would be trained by James, but she still wasn't pleased with what was happening. If things with Ciara didn't end, Syd would eventually become involved...it was inevitable. She agreed with James on wanting their children to be able to fight, but to her, if that were the case, he should have been doing that a while back. The clear sign of danger was a push for this, she was sure Syd wants to help because he feels he has to.

As James pulled the car through the gates and into the drives way, Lucy was relieved to be home. In that moment, all she could think about was getting herself a few drinks and forcing her children to hang out with her for a while. Surely they wouldn't deny their mother some quality time. When the car came to a stop and he pulled it into park, the blonde opened her door quickly and stepped out. Pausing outside of the door, she would wait for James to get out, not wanting to let the kids know that they were in a disagreement. With the dangers of Ciara, the last thing they needed to see was their parents fighting. Not uttering a word, Lucy stepped forward up to the front doors of the house, not even noticing if there might be a visitor...

Peter was pleased when Grant got the message that he had so clearly sent his way. He smiled pleasantly and leaned back against the desk, relaxing his arms. Dropping them a little too suddenly, he winced as pain radiated through his shoulder. Peter turned around quickly and moved to stand behind the desk again, listening as Sinead told off Grant with renewed confidence. As the pain dulled, Peter smiled again, listening as his wife controlled the man with her words. Turning he watched her presentation of power and couldn't help but think about how he liked her that way. Powerful. She hadn't seen the gun, which would stay that way as long as Grant didn't open his mouth. He was even lucky Peter let him walk out that door, which closed behind the pathetic excuse of a man as he looked up.

Peter's cheeks turned red as Sinead looked at him with brand new eyes, something about the way she was looking at who was new and enticing. Chuckling at her words about him being a hero, his cheeks continued to darken as she stated that she was lucky to have him. His smile turned into a clever smirk as he wrapped his arms around her back and waist. Lifting her slightly, he dipped her gently and pressed his lips against hers. His shoulder screamed out with pain at the slight weight and Peter quickly set her down on her feet, pressing his forehead against her shoulder and letting out shallow breaths. "That...was stupid." He muttered into his wife's shoulder, pressing his lips against it. "Some hero huh? Can't even lift a wee fairy."

"Wow, Alex. That's a real low blow," Conor joked when she said it was time he was put to use. He then looked to Michelle with a comical offended expression. "Will I make milkshake?! Do I look like some kind of slave? Man, this must be how Cinderella felt..." he joked. "Still, I will make some milkshakes once I'm done cleaning... I do hope my milkshake passes the test, Your Highness."

Savannah roled her eyes at Conor. "You're such a dork!" she told him.

When his niece asked about him and Alex, Conor looked to the woman to evaluate her reaction. She was clearly looking to him for help, but she hadn't rushed to deny it, and they'd had a moment the evening before. He sent Savannah a warm smile. "We'll just have to wait and see, Savvy. Right now we're dating," he told her, hoping his answer was okay. He didn't want to assume without properly discussing it with Alex and right now she'd been grieving for Fallon, like his dear friend Jackson.

Conor looked away when Savannah asked about Angel and instead busied himself with finishing up cleaning the floor. Still, he listened to the conversation and how Alex spoke positively of the man, having known him differently. There had been a time when even Conor was on amicable terms with the man, but then things changed and Angel's attacks on the Sullivans became relentless. The way he gunned down Emmet in cold blood as well as his persistence in hurting Lucy and James. Still, even Sinead saw whatever it was Alex knew of the man and she'd banned her family from speaking of the dead man's evil side in Savannah's presence.

Savannah looked to Alex with a deeper sense of interest when she confirmed she had known Angel and had been close to him. Even though she was a child, she knew her biological father was a sore subject for her family and something she couldn't really ask them about. Sinead had been the only one to tell her much about him and even she had held back a little, wanting Savannah to focus on the living. Savannah loved Peter and he was her dad as far as she was concerned, but she still wanted to know about Angel too. "I hope you can tell me about him," she spoke up, a fond smile on her face. "I know he hurt my family but I know he was kind too."

Sinead giggled at Peter's comment about not being able to lift a fairy. She kissed the top of his head as he pressed his lips to her shoulder. "I'm sure even my hero is permitted his weaker days, especially when he's injured," she sweetly reassured him. The flirty tone returned to her voice as she moved her arms from around him and gently used one hand to lift his chin up so she could look to his face. "It's a shame you're hurt, honey. Otherwise, I'd be dragging you straight upstairs when we get home," she said, with a playful wink. Her gaze into his eyes lingered a little before she pulled her hand away from his face. "But I'll get you next time, my pretty!"

Sinead briefly turned away to retrieve her purse before sending her husband a smile. Her face reflected decisiveness as she let out an accomplished breath. She reached out to hold Peter's hand but remained facing him as she decided to finalise the whole purpose of them coming to the office. "I've decided I will do the gig. I know James is likely being a security Nazi right now, but it's not his call to make. I mean, I'm happy to compromise and let some of you tough gangsters come and watch, if it helps." It seemed like Sinead was staying in her commanding mindset right now. "As for Grant. Once that gig is done with, I'm ditching him for good. You're right - I don't need that jerk and I certainly don't want to put anymore profit in his sleazy pockets." She then let out a scoff. "And fancy him belittling my club. I happen to enjoy working here when I'm not singing. I love this club."

Mallory smiled as she did a twirl allowing Skye to take in her full outfit “why thank you my dear” she allowed a small frustrated frown on her lips at the mention of Montag “yeah I need a young strapping man” she chuckled. When Delilah entered the room, Mal grinned at her compliment “we’re going to make all the girls jealous tonight, the perfect trio” she smirked

...................

Mallory grinned as the two girls took their drinks and drank with her. At the mention of the father, Mal smirked “but the danger of him finding out is what makes this all so much more exciting” she laughed before taking another swing of her drink “but yeah both dad and Mam will kill us when they find out so we’d better get going” she called as she began to walk towards the town.

At the bar Mal heard Skye’s comment and raised an eyebrow as she turned to look at the man in question, he was a beautiful piece of art and being the only one ‘really’ single she knew it was up to her to lead the way. “Ah I suppose I’ll take one for the team” she groaned as if this was a task but the smile on her face would show she was messing. “Watch how it’s done girls” she announced confidently before flicking her hair back over her shoulder. Mallory sauntered her way over to the bar just putting the right amount of swing in her hips as she approached where the barman was standing. Once at the bar Mallory leaned her elbows down to prop herself up, which in turn propped up her chest. She used a seductive smile as she looked at the bar man and watched as he approached her

(I’m actually terrible at flirting but Mallory is supposed to be good ahhhh)

Peter's disappointment in himself turned into happiness as Sinead said that even her hero could have his weaker days without feeling shameful. In that moment he was beginning to feel tired and weak again. Leaning back against the desk, he smiled softly as Sinead lifted his chin to look at her face. His cheek tinted red as she mentioned dragging him upstairs, he had heard the beginning of her sentence, something about his injury. He chose to ignore it. Peter was about to insist that he could definitely take her on upstairs when she spoke again moving to grab her purse. His smile faded only slightly as she walked away from him and he stood up straight, clearing his throat to cool himself before he did something stupid. It was funny how she made him feel young again, like when they first met and would only flirt on occasion. He had looked forward to speaking with her any chance he got, and here she was now standing in front of him, his wife, the mother of his children. Peter's smile grew just thinking about her. When she came over to join him again, she grabbed his hand.

He nodded his head slowly as she mentioned taking the gig, his smile slowly fading into a neutral expression. If Sinead decided to take the gig, he would let her do it, but even without the invite to the show, Peter and a few others would have definitely been watching from the shadows. She went on to explain that once the gig was over, she was done with Grant which made Peter smirk, pleased that she was going to let him go. The man was a creep who needed to be watch, Peter didn't have time to babysit such trash. Peter pushed himself off of the desk and took a step towards his wife. "I love this club too my love. And if you want extra gigs, I'm sure we can get you some...remember we have connections too." Looking at the time, Peter wondered if it was time to head back..."But right now, I think your hero is feeling a lot better...just because I am injured doesn't mean you can't take charge." He suggested flirtatiously before winking at her. "I like this Sinead, she's bossy and sexy...how bout we get outta here?"

Skye turned to Delilah and sent a devilish grin as she told her to dance with her. She looked up as her friend stood on the bar and couldn't help be laugh. She sent Mallory a glance before climbing up onto the bar, with her friend's help. She faced Delilah as they continued to dance along to the music. As they did, she kept her dividing her to Mallory who was going in to flirt with the cute bartender. "You go, girl!" she called out.

The barman's attention was drawn away from the two girls dancing on the bar and instead he focused on the blonde who was confidently approaching. He moved a few feet along the bar so he would be standing opposite Mallory. She leaned on the bar and he couldn't help but briefly glance down to her chest. Then he looked to her face and naturally maintained eye-contact, having allowed himself the minor blunder. He returned her seductive smile with his own grin and leaned forward a little to speak to her over the noise. "You know, your friends aren't supposed to be dancing on the bar. My manager will have a fit if he sees them." Still, he didn't actually tell them to get down. Instead, he was choosing to focus his attention on Mallory. "What can I get you to drink?" he asked her. "I don't think I've seen you in here before."

Meanwhile, Michael Hennessey entered the club on his own. His attention was immediately drawn to the two girls dancing on the bar and for a brief moment he contemplated heading somewhere quieter. However, when he looked again, he realised he recognised Delilah as one of James' kids and he was sure the blonde standing at the bar was another of the man's daughters. Regardless, he didn't much care about them. Instead, he headed to the end of the bar furthest from the girls, just passing the table Kieran was seated at. "Mickey, how's it going? Where's your sister?" the waiter pleasantly asked him.

"Ciara's gone home and now I need a few strong drinks. She can be a real pain in the arse, sometimes," he grumbled. The waiter was used to the siblings by now, though he didn't have a clue about Ciara's twisted side. Michael did, and after the early meeting with the Porters she'd managed to mentally drain him.

1524686277736.png Syd Porter

Once he'd clambered through the small escape hole, Syd brushed himself off and made his way into town on foot. Even to himself, he acted like he was annoyed that his sisters were leading themselves and him into inevitable trouble, making him sneak out to come and get them back. But deep down he felt more excited than anything. He loved walking around at night, he loved going out to clubs and bars and he enjoyed the thrill of breaking rules - even though the consequences he knew would be terrible. He'd just have to not get caught.

There were only a few bars within reasonable walking distance from the house, so it didn't take Syd long to find the right one. Before he'd even entered the room he could feel the heat emanating from the dance floor and was shortly thereafter plunged into the blaring sound of rock and roll music. The lights were low, but not too low for him to spot Delilah and Skye dancing on the bar. They were wearing dresses shorter than that of almost every other woman in the club. Syd sighed, briefly passing a hand over his eyes. "Oh, for God's sake..." he muttered to himself, but couldn't help a small smirk from passing across his face. The two of them were so crazy it was almost endearing, and for a fleeting moment he simply stood, transfixed by Skye's appearance. It wasn't often he got to see her all dolled up like that, much less dance the way she was dancing... But he was quickly drawn from his trance when he began to notice other men in the club stealing glances too. Whether they were at Skye or Delilah, he wanted to approach the girls before another man could. He sauntered over and shamelessly climbed up onto the bar to be on their level. One lad below him, who frankly looked far too young to be there, started to complain that he was in the way and was going to knock his drink over. Syd simply looked down and gave him a light kick in the shoulder, and the kid moved on, clearly annoyed but not wanting to start a fight.

"Alright," he said to the two of them, arms folded and eyebrows raised. "What the hell are you doing here? Del, don't tell me you you've forgotten why we weren't allowed to leave the house. Why'd you choose tonight of all nights? How much trouble are you trying to get yourself into here, exactly?" He turned to Skye, and tried to keep back a smile that was threatening to spread across his face. It had become somewhat of an automatic response to seeing her, and was especially hard to withhold when she was looking so stunning as she was tonight. "Don't think you're not in trouble too, Skye. My folks care about you a lot and would hate to know that you aren't safe."

The atmosphere of the club was rapidly shifting Syd's mood and he was finding it hard to keep up the pretence of being mad. Perhaps it was how sweet they looked, or perhaps it was the music, which always made him want to let loose. Nothing took his troubles away faster than rock and roll. He loved going to bars and was itching to get drunk, dance and be irresponsible - but at least while he didn't have a drink in his hand he thought he might as well try to scold them a little. That was partly what he'd gone there to do, after all.

At this, Kieran's ears perked up. He looked up from his magazine and caught a glimpse of the speaker "Mickey." Ciara surely was a common enough name, but the man favored the labor activist quite a bit. It couldn't be a coincidence. As he turned this over, however, his attention was drawn to the girls. Mallory was shamelessly flirting with the barman while the other two...danced on the countertop. He wondered if this was actually acceptable behavior. Just then, the waiter brought him his tonic and gin.

"Can I get you anything else, sir?"

"No," Kieran stammered, eager to be left alone. He thought about telling the waiter that he thought the girls were underage, but he wondered if that was even a thing in Ireland, and furthermore they might not care if it was. He returned to his magazine, glancing over the lip of the paper every now and again to watch any new developments while also keeping an eye on Michael, while trying to avoid the attention of both parties.

Nikolai Kuznetsov

tom-hardy-as-bond-03.jpg

Nikolai had decided to wait on the back porch, seeing as the weather was somewhat warm - to Nikolai's Russian standards, of course. With a glass of whiskey in hand, he overlooked the sunset behind the gorgeous garden. The tension between the Russian Mob and Porters had seemed to ease, even between Nikolai's men and the Porter guards, whom were playing drinking games outside. He pulled in a deep drag of his cigar as he saw the reflection of the Porter car from the window.

As Lucy entered the house from the front door, Nikolai stood up from the rocking chair. His attire appeared more casual than threatening, despite his usual appearance when visiting. His intimidating scar was even been covered by a pair of hazel-tinted sunglasses. The atmosphere surrounding James and Lucy clashed with the fun-spirited tune created by the laughing men outside. "Welcome home, Mister and Mrs. Porter," Nikolai said, raising his gripped hands. He lowered his hands as he quickly picked up on their melancholy demeanor "I hope we aren't intruding on something." He slowly walked towards James, resting his hand on his shoulder. "I believe you and I need to talk," He offered him a smile, motioning him outside.

As the pair walked into the garden and past their men, Nikolai rested his arm over James. "I heard about what happened at your friends apartment. I'm glad no one important was killed." He bit onto the end of the cigar, stopping in his tracks to admire the view. "All of this is yours. All of it." He looked down to James, shaking his shoulder to try and liven him. "When I first came into acquaintance with you, your family was drowning in blood. You were all miserable, shaken, and afraid what the following day would entail. Now, Dublin is your kingdom. I don't care who did this to you - do not let those nut jobs bring you down. Don't you enjoy these luxuries too much to let them drag you back down to the rats? You need to squash them, like the bugs they are."

Sinead smiled when Peter said they had their own connections to help her get more gigs. It made her even happier that he wasn't trying to talk her out of it or saying it was too dangerous. After their earlier discussions about her wanting to be more forceful, it meant a lot that she wasn't being told she couldn't do something. She was able to control her own life and make her own decisions.

Sinead's cheeks turned a rosy shade of red as she blushed at Peter's suggestion that she could take charge. The wink he sent her way was the icing on the cake and she couldn't have been more attracted to him in that moment if she tried. "Oooh, so you like me bossy, huh? You're pretty sexy yourself, Mister." She bit her bottom lip in a flirtatious manner and reached out to smooth his collar. "I think getting out of here is a good idea," she told him. "We're going straight to bed, Petey. And I don't mean to sleep!" Sinead's flirting was rusty and the fact innuendos tended to go over her head didn't help matters.

When they arrived home, Shannon was sat on the sofa watching television. The woman informed them Braden and Emery were sleeping, and Savannah was staying over at Lucy's. Once the formalities were out of the way. Sinead took Peter's hand and led him upstairs as promised. The last few nights she'd either crashed out drunk or Peter had just been shot. She was determined tonight would be different.

Bellz Bellz (Peter) So I figure they'll both be settled for the rest of the chapter. :P

James Porter

During the drive home, it was clear to James that he was being given the silent treatment. He always did his best to compromise with Lucy and be open to coming around to her way of thinking, but on this occasion he believed he was in the right. Unfortunately, that meant he couldn't back down and give in to his queen on this one. When he parked the car, Lucy apparently couldn't get out fast enough. Still, she waited by the car for him so they could enter the house together. He concluded this disagreement wasn't going to be resolved right now, especially as he believed in his decision.

In the Russian's typical style, Nikolai was already comfortable and waiting for them to return home. The man seemed more casual than normal and certainly more pleasant than when they'd spoken a few nights ago. "Welcome to our home," James returned the man's greeting. He didn't really respond when the man said he hoped he wasn't intruding. James sent Lucy an apologetic glance before walking out to the garden with his visitor. "I believe we do need to talk," he agreed.

The Russian mentioned he'd heard about Jackson's place being blown up. "Fallon might have been a Romano, but she was an innocent one. She meant a lot to some people," he explained, though he doubted Nikolai would care much at all. The man had hoped to wipe out the entire Romano family back in Chicago, Alex included. James focused back on the rest of the conversation about Dublin belonging to the Porters and he firmly nodded his head. "I don't intend on my family's blood painting these streets," he firmly told him. He briefly thought of Elijah and his place in this. "Once I'm certain all of my family is safe, I intend to wipe out the bitch responsible for this. It seems Dublin has problems more than the usual small-time rats and thugs. So a little disorder will present itself in the city, but I intend on it being the enemy's blood that is spilled. They don't respond to reason and I've given them that opportunity already."

Mallory looked towards Skye and Delilah when he mentioned they were standing on the bar and a smirk took over her lips as she watched them dance. “Yeah they don’t really care for rules” she laughed clearly looking amused at their antics, it’s not like she could apologize for them, if her attention hadn’t been diverted to this man, she would have been the first one up. She’s also done a lot worse than climbing up and dancing on a bar but no one needed to know that.

Mallory turned her attention back to the barman when it was evident that he wasn’t going to kick them off and rather he was focusing solely on her. The loud bustle of the club was enjoyable but it was horrible to talk in especially with all the people around them trying to order drinks and shouting at their friends in order to hear them over the music. Mallory pressed herself onto her tip toes so she could hear him better. What did she want? Mallory bit her lip , sucking her bottom lip in before slowly allowing it to fall back into place as she thought, you, was the evident answer but she didn’t want to scare him off just yet, maybe she’d ask him out for a cigarette in a bit but she didn’t want to be too eager just yet. Even if she was tipsy, Mallory was still aware of how these things work.
“Ooh I don’t know , how about you surprise me” she challenged a charming smile on her lips as she spoke. When he mentioned not having seen her before, Mal tried to think of why she hadn’t been here that often “I don’t really come to bars that much but I might have to start coming her more often” a seductive tone dripping off her voice.

Mallory didn’t even see her brother enter the club or clamber up onto the bar alongside the girls.

Alexandra and Michelle Romano
Michelle laughed “Well your a dad so technically your my slave” she added in thought and grinned when he confirmed when he would make them “you can’t mess up a milkshake so you should be ok” she teased, her eyes lit up when her father confirmed they were dating and she looked eagerly to her Mam and then back to her dad. She finally had a family, it was just a shame Fallon wasn’t part of it anymore. As she thought of her aunt and how she wouldn’t be around anymore, a frown came into her lips and tears threatened to fall from her eyes.

Alex smiled when Savannah clearly seemed happy to know she knew Giovanni, but she frowned when Savannah said she knew he had done some bad things to her family, she just wished the child didn’t know that as this age, she was too young and was Michelle to know the truth about the Romano’s and their crimes. She put a smile back onto her lips as she nodded her head “you can always come to me if you want to talk about him Savannah I promise” Alex then bent down to be at the same height as Savannah “he may have done some bad things but not everyone is perfect all you need to know is he loved you and your mother and for you that’s all that matters” she told her gently.

Before Savannah had time to reply, Alex heard the door open and guessed that Lucy and James were back from the meeting, she needed to talk to James and tell him she wanted in, her train of thought stopped however as she heard an all too familiar voice coming from the same direction. She could feel her blood beginning to boil as she looked back towards the hall, a venemous look in her eyes. What was the Russian prick doing here

Lucy stepped through the door first, entering their home, lifting her head, she saw Nikolai greeting them with a warm welcome. To Lucy, it had always been unnerving that he appeared in the house so suddenly and a lot of the time, unexpectedly, but it was just another thing she couldn't really change. Nevertheless, she offered the Russian a smile, despite the fact he seemed to notice the tension between James and her. When Lucy was made clear that the men were to talk, she nodded her head softly at James, her face neutral. Walking off into the main portion of the house, she headed towards the staircase, wanting to change out of her outfit. Before doing so, she stopped and sat at the bottom of the stairs, slipping her heels off and rubbing her feet lightly. Once done, she trudged up the stairs towards the bedroom. Just as she was about to pass Delilah's room, she paused. Perhaps they would be able to just talk between the two of them...about the whole boyfriend thing. Turning towards the door, she moved her hand closer, ready to knock on the door. After a brief moment of hesitation, she gently rapt on the door, waiting for a response. "Delilah?" Lucy called to her gently, wondering if she had fallen asleep. She knocked again before finally opening the door and looking inside. Her eyebrows knitted together in confusion but figured that perhaps she was somewhere else, biting her lip she moved towards the door and stepped back into the hall.

After walking a few more feet, she stopped outside of Syd's door and knocked a few times, once there was no answer she opened the door to find no one was around. Heading to Mallory's room quickly she didn't even bother to open it as her heart began to beat faster and faster. Her brain was trying to rationalize with her, promising that the kids were most likely downstairs with Conor, where she had yet to check. Her heart thumped hard in her chest as she practically jogged back down the stairs and towards the kitchen. "Conor?" She called halfway there, turning the corner before stepping through. "Conor is--?" Lucy's words trailed off as she quickly assessed that her kids were not with him. Lucy looked to Alex and Michelle, offering a brief and worried smile. "Hello dears!" She said, trying to keep the panic from her voice, knowing that she could have been overreacting if the kids were somewhere on the property.

The blonde's blue eyes found Conor and she raised an eyebrow at him, "Where's Mallory, Delilah and Syd? Did they tell you if they went to Sinead's?" To her this didn't make any sense as Sinead's children were with Conor. Lucy didn't want to jump to conclusions as she waited for her brother to answer. "Conor...?" She repeated, her voice sounding just a tad more desperate now.

Savannah quickly nodded her head when Alex said she could always talk to her about Angel. She then listened carefully as the woman told her not everyone was perfect. She smiled and quickly nodded her head when told the man loved her and her mum. Still, she had to wipe a stray tear away as the thought of being able to talk about him was a little bit overwhelming. "Yeah, mum always tells me he loved us both," she agreed. "I don't think I'm supposed to know about the bad things. I just have good ears," she said, her voice lowered.

Conor looked to Michelle and shook his head when she said he was technically a slave. "I see you're a cheeky one, huh? Just like your mother," he teased. "You think I can't mess up a milkshake?! Challenge accepted, short stuff!"

Conor had just finished cleaning up when he too heard Nikolai's voice. He tossed the rag in the bin, wondering what his business here was this time. He looked to Alex and sent her a deadly serious look as he shook his head, trying to signal for her to stay away from the Russian. They had enough problems already. Savannah was about to innocently announce it was Nikolai who she could hear, having seen him a few times in the past and remembered his accent which always stood out to her. Before she could speak up, the door to the kitchen opened and her aunt entered the room.

1523993834713-png.428090
"LUCYYY!" Savannah excited greeted her and rushed to give the blonde a tight hug. "Conor said I can sleep over here tonight. Please say that's okay?" she asked. She then released her aunt as she noticed the woman appeared serious or even worried.

"No, Luce. They didn't mention going to Sinead's to me. I haven't seen them in a while, but I just figured they were hanging around this place. Have you checked upstairs?" Conor asked, not wanting to state the obvious but not for one minute expecting they'd be dumb enough to go out.

Savannah looked to Lucy and smiled to reassure her. "Don't worry. I think they're probably all upstairs. Syd went to bed a bit ago -he said he was getting an early night. So he's probably just sleeping."

Lucy was so worried that she hadn't been able to properly greet her niece, who was very enthusiastic to see her. "Hi doll," Lucy murmured to her, squeeze her back quickly before letting her go, though she seemed to pick up on Lucy's demeanor quickly. As Conor revealed that that he thought they were hanging around the place, Lucy's already heavily beating heart was sent into overdrive as she realized her brother had not been watching or checking on them. When he asked if she had checked upstairs, Lucy snapped. "Really Conor, you don't think that was the first place I would have checked!" Her voice rising with anger now, everything was beginning to pile together causing a never ending amount of stress. Lucy listened to Savannah as she tried to reassure her that Syd was upstairs sleeping, but Lucy had already found out that wasn't the case. Pinching the bridge of her nose, she sucked in a deep breath before running the same hand through her blonde hair.

If the kids were anywhere outside, James and Nikolai were bound to have seen them, and the kids would have greeted their parents like they normally do. Hurrying down the hallway back towards the staircase, she grabbed her heels and the keys before checking a few other rooms for the kids. Once it was confirmed that they were no where within the house, Lucy felt like she wanted to scream. All at once, it felt like she was losing control of her life, James wanted to train Syd and Syd couldn't even make the adult decision to not sneak out of the house when his parents tell him to. He thought he was old enough, that the kids were old enough to make decisions, but this just proved everything he said to be wrong. Lucy was ready to kill two birds with one stone, tired of not being heard or heard and brushed aside. She looked a bit crazed as she tried a few other rooms before making a bee-line for the kitchen. "Conor!" Lucy barked as she stepped into the kitchen again. "You're coming with me. They snuck out." She said before looking to Alex. "Could you watch Savannah and the others while we are gone. James is meeting with Nikolai right now." Lucy didn't have time to think about how Nikolai's presence would affect the Romano.

"You. Come with me." The blonde pointed to her brother, who she wasn't entirely happy with either. As they both walked out of the kitchen and towards the front door, Lucy was muttering under her breath, Just like their father, stubborn as shit." Loud enough for Conor to hear. Walking out the door, she pointed to her car. "We are going to look for them." She stated simply, choosing not to let James know was the best thing for now, especially since he was in a meeting with Nikolai, she would be sure to tell him as soon as she found the kids. In the car, Lucy shook her head at Conor, "I can't believe you didn't check on them! They are teenagers Conor! Stubborn as hell and reckless just as equal!" Though she could honestly admit that she would have never thought they would do something like this, and deep down, she was sincerely hurt that they would throw away the trust they had built so easily. No time for pain now, she focused on getting out the front gate when a guard stopped her, causing her to roll her eyes. "You must have clearance from Mr. Porter before leaving." He said in a deep tone before the blonde scoffed. "Everyone is ordered to stay on the property miss." He added before Lucy glared his way. "Well if that is the case, where are my children?" This seemed to surprise the guard for a moment as he scrambled for something to say but Lucy held up her hand. "Just open the fucking gate." She told the guard who quickly did as the very beautiful yet very angry woman wanted. Just as she passed through the gate, she stopped the car from rolling before saying, "You can tell Mr. Porter where we have headed and why. Please also inform him that I overrode his clearance and gave it to myself." With that, she stepped on the gas, the back tires squealing before the car took off down the street. "Where could they be???" She said her tone reflecting how worried she was now.

DELILAH PORTER

Delilah had really been going for her dancing and, unknown to her, had caught the attention of quite a few young men. Attention she neither wanted nor needed because she had Leo, and he was all she had ever wanted. Her eyes suddenly lingered to her sister, plump lips twisting into a grin as she saw her flirting. All of a sudden, her gaze was becoming a little blurry, and her hips seemed to flow to the music on their own accord. She was definitely already drunk, and the practically empty vodka bottle in her hand had told her exactly the same. At Skye’s comment towards Mal, Delilah only shook her head teasingly. “Wooo Mal! You’ve got this!” She shouted loudly, trying to encourage her sister to approach the man, but she didn’t need to as he seemed to have already approached her.

Delilah danced to her heart’s content and, for a moment, it seemed as though all of her troubles ceased to exist and she were just there in the moment with her friends, enjoying herself and their company. That was, until, she felt someone climb onto the bar too, and her eyes defensively looked over to the new presence. Suddenly startled at the appearance of her brother, she almost fell backwards, but her sloppy grip on a wall prevented her from hurting herself. The way he stood so prideful and so authoritative made her scowl slightly, slowing her dancing to a halt. Cocking an eyebrow, she took a gentle step back. “Alright?” Delilah quickly retorted, mentally preparing herself for the speech her brother was likely to make. She scoffed slightly, though was surprised he hadn’t been as angry as she’d expected him to. “Having fun? What the hell are you doing here?” Delilah smirked as she copied the way he stood, crossing her arms and frowning at Skye and Syd. And, in that moment, the way Syd looked at Skye made her realise that he crushed on her, and she on him. The thought made her smugly grin, planning to somehow leave them alone and sneak off elsewhere. Probably to call Leo, especially in her state. “Trouble doesn’t matter until it happens,” she dismissed his comment with a wave of her hand. “And you can’t exactly act as if you aren’t happy to see us all. Especially Skye,” Delilah smirked, shrugging slightly. In a swift movement, she pushed her brother slightly so he stood in front of her.

What would she do now? She wanted to see Leo, but she knew that wasn’t possible. He, she thought, probably wouldn’t appreciate the state she was in, especially given the way her body seemed to sway on its own. “We are perfectly safe here Syd, no need to worry.” Delilah started to dance again, allowing her body to move in time with the music.
