A cruel conflict, (savvy&Lexie)

Akira pulled at the chain as hard as she could until she heard something snap. She screamed in pain, knowing she just broke her ankle. After she calmed down, she whimpered softly as she scooted back against the wall, hugging her knees close to her.

Kyle had begun cleaning up the mess from dinner. He washed the dishes then scraped a small plate together for the girl downstairs. Finally after his dad retired to the bedroom he snuck it down to her.

Akira sat silently against the wall, her hair disheveled from her screaming and pulling at it. Tears still streaked her face though they had stopped falling. She heard footsteps, but no matter how much she willed herself, she couldn't look up.

Kyle smiled breifly, then gently laid the plate by her feet. His father always wondered about how his victims sustained life but Kyle had always been slipping them small plates of food.

Akira stared silently at the plate as if she has never seen food before. She forced herself to lift her head and she stared at him in disgust. "Bastard," she spat coldly as she clenched her jaw.

Kyle laughed briefly, "I bring you food and you yell nasty to me. Now thats not very nice. " Kyle was torn internally between what his father had taught him and what the world taught him. He faught between what was right and wrong and constantly was torn between turning his father in or helping his father.

"I don't give a damn about the food. I'll starve," Akira said as she used her good foot to kick away the plate. She winced in pain when her broken ankle pulled on the chain but she refused to scream from the pain, no matter how much she wanted to.

Akira glared after him and clenched her fists as she sighed and shook her own head. She sank back into herself and began to cry silently, wanting nothing but to go home and she would die if she couldn't.

Kyle took a shower a very long and hot shower. He turned the lights out in most of the house and retired to his bedroom. He turned on his music and let the soft piano drift into his thoughts. The music detracted him from the gruesome thoughts of what his father was doing. He had begun struggling more an more now. He was out of the house and seeing that what his father did was wrong. Now, he had to decided what to do.

Akira laid down carefully on the cold hard ground and closed her eyes through the tears. Taking a deep breath, she closed her when tighter and forced herself to sleep, despite the nightmares that proded her dreams.

Akira screamed as she woke up and looked around frantically before the realization hit her. She was kidnapped. She winced at the pain in her ankle but refused to begin crying once again.

Kyle researched the law in this town and the rules against what his father was doing. He read over a ton of cases and began to realize that his father was definitely wrong. He pondered on his fathers ways for a while before cautiously going home.

Akira tried her best to get her ankle free but with no success. "I'm going to die here," she whispered to herself before looking at the food. She had said she wasn't going to eat for as long as she was stuck here bit she knew that wouldn't last long. It was either starve and die and eat as much as she was given and try to get out. She reached over and ate quickly before throwing the plate and shattering it against a wall.

When kyle returned home hos father was not there, probably in town he thought to himself. He ran down stairs to check on the girl. He stumbled upon the broken plate and chuckled. "This really is no way to repay your host." He spat, spinning around to see the girl.

"Why are you doing this? You know it's wrong yet you still go along with it. Why me?" Akira asked as she looked up at him through tears.

Kyle thought for a moment then sat Indian style in front of her. He then began to speak quickly and quietly, "I was raised different from you." He looked around, "I was taught that this was right and that it was okay. It wasn't til recently that I was able to leave the house and discover the world. I have been studying the laws and realize what he is doing is wrong." He looked at her, really looked at her for the first time he saw her beauty. " I wanna do what's right but im torn between what my father says and what the library says." He ended there as he heard footsteps and ran from the room.

Akira opened her mouth to speak only to watch him run out of the room. She sighed softly and looked down as she hugged herself. She couldn't help but notice how cute he was and couldn't help but think about how someone so cute could end up in a like of crime.

Kyle began gathering things for dinner and greeted his father. They spoke breifly and then his father went downstairs with the girl. Kyle began to catch himself worrying about the girl and tried to shake the feelings. He chopped beef for stew and began listening carefully to what was going on down stairs.

Akira heard the door open and slowly looked up through her hair. She sighed softly as she closed her eyes and shook her head. "Why are you keeping me here?" She asked softly and looked at him.

He remained silent, pacing the room. The girl was driving herself insane he didnt need to do anything other than be there.

Akira clenched her jaw and began looking around silently. "Fucking bastard is gonna die..." She mumbled to herself.

Finally kyle called to his father for dinner. He had hoped that he would go out afterwords, and that he could possibly help the girl downstairs.

Akira watched the man leave before looking around more frantically for something she could use to help her get herself out of there.
