Realistic or Modern A city of Antagonists

Adam smirked and opened his cell, walking out and looking to his right. He stepped back into his cell and waited for them to pass, nabbing one of their pistols as they did. He stepped back out, and motioned to Iris for her to follow. he put the gun in his back pocket and quickly but quietly ran to the stairs leading to the third floor of the cell block. He ran to and hid in cell 149, and waited for Iris.

Shocked to near silence at Adam's bluntness and nonchalance at her crimes and personal information, Carly stood practically frozen through the entire conversation. Only once Adam and Iris left did she manage to shake it off. She clenched a fist.

"You little fucking-" she muttered in the direction Adam had gone. "I'd kill you too. I regret calling you handsome and homicidal. And don't call me Addict."

Knowing very well he couldn't hear her, she sighed and left the cell. If she wanted to get out of here, she would have to follow his instructions. She hated it. She walked down the hall, rubbing her temples. She could feel a headache building. She'd been getting them frequently ever since she'd gotten here when she thought of Dan. It was most likely from drug withdrawl, but a small part of her wondered if it was something like... regret? Nah. See, Carly without drugs just ends up with crazy thoughts.

"Cell 17... that was it, right? Cell 17, cell 17, cell 17... here we are."

She kicked open the door to the cell, immetiatley dropping to her knees and sticking her hand under the bed.

"Envelope, envelope... envelope."

She pulled out the envelope, which was fairly large and light. She wondered what could be inside. She figured it was better not to open it, though. She tucked it under her arm and made her way back to Adam's cell.

"I got the lame envelope or whatever," she called in the doorway, not even sure who was still in the cell, if anyone.

Dennis nodded and made his way back to his own cell as quickly as he could. As soon as he got there he closed the door and laid on his cot. One...two.....three.....four.......He counted down as a guard paced down the hallway. Dennis moaned quietly, slowly getting louder and more dramatic as the guard got closer. The guard hit his cell door with his nightstick. "Shut up! I'm so sick of you idiots." The guard said, mumbling the last part. "Please.....I need help. It burns!" Dennis whimpered, clutching his stomach. "Please help me!" The guard rolled his eyes, but reluctantly unlocked the door. After calling another guard, they dragged Dennis to the infirmary. After laying him on a cot, the first guard informed him that the nurse would be with him shortly and then they both left. Dennis grinned and carefully got up. The other sick prisoners all seemed to be asleep so he moved to the nurse's office. The door was open ever so slightly and he peeked in. There was quiet music playing, but he couldn't see the nurse. He gently pushed the door open and slipped in, relieved when the room really was empty. He went over to one of the filing cabinets and rifled through. "Adam Hills.....Adam Hills.....H or A?" He mumbled to himself. "Eureka!" He said in triumph, pulling out the file. He flipped through until he found the prescriptions and wrote the info on his wrist with the nurse's pen. He carefully put the file back and went to where the prescriptions were stored and grabbed twice the amount listed on the file. He scanned the room to make sure everything looked just as it had in the first place before sneaking back into the hallway. He carefully avoided the guards as he went back to cell 67. "Um, hi.....Is everyone else gone?" He asked the girl that was standing outside.

Adam got bored.

He blew up the vent above cell 66, a small yet ear piercing blast taking out only that cell got the guards to immediately rush down the hallway, giving Adam a chance to run through the camouflaged door. He pulled the gun on the guard by the monitors, and pistol whipped him, knocking him unconscious. He placed a shoe belonging to the guard in the door to stop it from closing on Iris and accessed the loudspeaker.

"May Dennis Quinn, Iris Lucius, Carly Nightingale and Asane Naki please report to the guard office on floor three of the cell block? Thank you."

Iris was, to be honest, quite thrilled. It had be so long since she had the chance to walk. Before this, she just sat on her bed doing nothing. Still, she was a bit worried if she got caught. Not because she was afraid of getting in trouble buy because she was afraid she would jeopardise the plan. She was doing quite well. Sure there was that one moment she almost got caught but she got out of that situation. She heard the announcement. That meant he was already at the control room. She sped up and soon reached the designated room. She entered with a look of amusement. He did this all by himself? So he wasn't as weak as she thought

Carly was about to answer Dennis when an explosion cut her off.

"What the shit was-"

The announcement blared over the loudspeakers, and she grinned. That was Adam's voice.

"Alright, let's go," she told Dennis. "Be careful. If you do anything that reveals us to the guards, I'll slit your throat."

She delivered the last remark with a smile and flounced off down the hall towards the office.

Dennis jumped slightly when an explosion came from the next cell over. He looked down at the girl and raised his eyebrow when she delivered her threat with a smile. He despised those sorts of people. How could they have a genuine smile while threatening to kill someone? He shook away his distracting thoughts and hurried after the girl to the guards' office. He had no idea what the Adam guy's plan was, but hopefully everything would work out.....without anyone getting killed would be an added bonus.

Carly, after easily sneaking around a few guards, opened the door to the third floor guard office.

"Wowie, your plan actually sort of worked. Was not expecting that," she commented nonchalantly. "So what's the plan now, Cappo?"

She cursed Adam. She wanted to be mad at him for the earlier comments, but he was, as already addressed, handsome, dark, and homicidal. Her weakness. Then again, Dan had fit most of those qualities, and that hasn't stopped her from...

She looked at Adam expectantly, waiting to hear the next part of his no doubt brilliant plan.

"Well, I'm gonna need one of you to get her quick. No doubt Asane will be here in a second so we might as well do it as we wait for her." He said, looking around at the monitors. He flicked a switch and the southern entrance locked shut, crushing a guard's hand in the process. As he did that, he remembered something

*BANG*

"Sorry, I forgot he was on the floor. Don't want him waking up. So, one of you, I'll need your help. We have to press both buttons at the same time or we can't begin a full prison lockdown. Someone else will have to hold that door open, as well as another person to hold the door we just came in through. You all got it?"

Asane Naki

About as long as it took Asane to get there and get her job done was around the same time the explosion in cell sixty six went off, and then Adams little role-call went over the loudspeakers.

"What is that guy doing?! He's risking someone figuring out that that's not the normal loudspeaker guy."

She shook her head, giving a 'whatever' under her breath.

"That explosion I heard sure took the entirety of the guards over there, since theyre stupid enough to do that. All should be good to head on the fuck over."

She gave a nod to herself and just checked one last time around the corners. Clear for sure, and that meant a full on go-ahead to get the hell out. She was full on sprinting, not worrying about any footsteps she was making since they'd be talking over eachother too much to hear someone running. It didn't take long for her to make it towards the meeting room in the guards office; though was panting and trying to gasp for air as she nearly slumped through the doorway. "Are we almost through with this plan or what?"

"I'll help you press the buttons. Sounds like a job I can handle," Carly snorted.

She walked over to Adam.

"So, which button do I press?"

"It's that green one on the back of the third monitor. You guys got the doors first?" He asked, getting ready to press the button near him.

Dennis reached the office as Adam assigned more tasks. Damn, this plan was taking a while. He nodded and went to hold the door open. "Yeah, I've got the door. Let's get the hell outta here." He said, bracing himself in case the door tried to close.

Carly hovered her hand over the green button. She wanted to press it so bad. She wanted to press the damn fucking button so bad. But she wouldn't until Adam said. Probably.

"Ready when you are, Sargent," she called.

"Okay, everyone's in, Dennis has the door, we don't need door two cause we're all here... Now!" He said, hitting the button and instantly turning round to face the door.

Dennis braced himself when two of the other prisoners pressed the buttons. He groaned quietly as the door tried to close on him. "If you guys could get a little hustle going, that would be appreciated." He said, as one of the girls ran through.

Adam held up his gun and aimed it at Carly. "Well you four, it's been reaally fun, but I'm getting my friend from solitary and we're getting out. You can break out by getting through the sewers. You can enter those from the western watch-tower." He said, stepping backwards. He shot the lock on the large metal door leading to the solitary block. He grabbed the handle and, with great effort, pulled the door open. He stepped back inside and shoved the door closed, locking it from his side.
