A Change of Heart

He sighed. There were probably ants in this grass. Even so, no matter how long he laid there he'd never have as many ants in his pants as his tight ass little brother.

Mei nodded, pressing her index finger's together. "It was fun watching all of you have to drink while I stayed perfectly sober the entire night." She said.

Mei sighed. "Yeah. Parent's will get mad if I stay out long." She lied, giving a fake smile to seem as if she was fine and did not just have a mini panic attack.

He smiled at her as he stood. He brushed off his pants, and texted his brother quick that he'd been home soon. After sending, he looked up at Mei, and said, "Okay, I'm gonna get. You wanna ride?"

As they walked to his car, Izzy reviewed another text from his brother Mitchell. He had a stick up his ass about something or another, but the senior shrugged it off.

"I don't think I know where you live," he noted as he got in. "Mind directing me there?"

Mei shook her head. "Not at all." She said, smiling lightly. She faced the fact that he probably hadn't even realized that she had even been in the same bed with him, or that he had spooned her, which is why she was being un sarcastic today.

With a grin, he realized she wasn't being as cold as usual today. He idly wondered why that would be as he drove, but shrugged it off. Why look a gift horse in the mouth? "So, where did you end up sleeping last night? You spent the night, right?"

Mei stiffened. "On a chair." She said, which was half true, considering that is where she fell asleep at first.

With a frown he sighed. "Oh, that sucks. I'm sorry. Now I feel like an ass for taking the bed instead of giving it to you. Drunken me is just an ass, I guess," he laughed lightheartedly.

Mei laughed. "Yeah, and ass." She said, her voice shrinking in volume as well as her smile as she looked down.

"Sorry about it, really." He frowned as he pulled into her driveway. "I'll see you at school?"

Mei nodded. "Yeah, I guess I will see you in two days." She said, waving as she walked into her apartment complex and up the flights of stairs.

(Time skip?)

(Alright)

Monday morning.

Mei got out of bed, groaning as she slipped on her uniform. Grabbing some toast, she began to walk to school.

Izzy's hangover had worn off by Monday morning, thank god. He parked in front, a rather serendipitous happening for arriving fifteen minutes before the first bell. Walling through the halls on his way to the vending machine, he ran into Julia. She looked a little distressed as she pulled him to the side of the hall. "Hey, can we talk?"

Izzy, now concerned, nodded reassuringly. "Of course."

As he took her back to his car, she stayed silent. As she seated her self in the passenger's side, tears began to well in her eyes. She pressed her face into her hands and began to weep quietly. Izzy pressed his hand to her shoulder, and, rubbing softly, spoke quietly. "Hey, hey, it's okay. What's wrong?"

(I have no idea what is going on with her, so I am going to stay as Mei for now)

Mei opened her locker, staring blankly at space for a few minutes.

(Oh yeah that was not an invitation to use her sorry if that's how it came across. Lol keep your dirty fingers off my babies)

"I cheated on you," she wailed. She pulled away and cried harder. Izzy swallowed, not exactly hurt. Almost relieved, which in turn made him feel bad.

He shook his head. "It's okay, calm down. I'm not mad. Can you tell me who?"

She sniffled, and looked up at him. Shame was etched into her face. "Becky."

He breathed a sigh of relief. They were cute together. "Do you love her?"

She nodded sheepishly, and he leaned back. "If she loves you back, then you should be with her."
