Suddenly a surge of emotions and memories jumped in her mind... but it was not entirely hers. No, these were the memories of...


But that can't be... or can it?


With a sudden though she closed her eyes and held Blair tightly to her until she could feel her heartbeat. Then, emotionally she kissed her with all the love that came in her mind.

She didn't know how to react, the surge of emotions.


It was unlike anything that had happened before.

( Oh I didn't think about it like that... but it is not a bad idea )


When they finished Natalie felt something that she had never before.


" Blair... " she started " If I feel that the warmth is tearing me apart from the inside... is that the 'happiness' you mentioned earlier? "

"Yes, it is."


She smiled and leant her head into the crook of her neck. "I feel complete with you, Natalie."

 

[DawnAntalios]

" So do I... " said Natalie silently then she wondered how could she make Blair happier. As Lucy she would be able to do it... after all her personality changes much when she takes her form but it drains her stamina and power greatly.


But if it is for Blair she would do it...


" I will find a way... " she whispered to herself as they laid there on the grass.

She was drifting off into a peaceful land of sleep...until she heard a very insistent bell.


"Fudge..."


She got up, extending a hand to Natalie and smiling.

She sat up and looked at her, but then smiled.


" It is all right. " she said " Let us go to the classes. "


She actually liked this since now she had the chance to research and find a way to make the spell endure. Everything for Blair... to make her happy. Standing up Natalie headed to the classroom, the devious smile still on her expression.

She lounged in the uncomfortable chair, eyes fixed on the sky outside. The words of her teacher barely registered, her mind wandering to the demon she had so strangely fallen for.

After the classes were over Natalie immediately headed into the library. While she knew that the normal humans would not have any knowledge in the arts of magic she knew a secret section in there - where the arts of darkness were kept.


Hours upon hours she searched for a solution, hellbent of making her new found love happy - and after hours of exhausting research she have found something useful. Smiling in her triumph she left the school only to see that it was very late in the afternoon, almost evening.


" I best hurry back to the town. " she sighed. " The alleys are filled up so easily, I need to find more newspapers for tonight. "

She had been waiting for Natalie outside the gates. She had found a comfortable spot in the shade, soon drifting into sleep.


She had unknowingly attracted a demon to her, but not the kind one she had fallen for.

Just as she was about to leave the school to go to the town she felt a dark presence nearby. Her heart started racing as she realized why it would be here.


" Blair... "


She dashed to the spot where she sensed the demon and immediately dark fury filled her. Her hands transformed into the dark claws and she started to slice up the enemy. It was, however, quite resilient and wounded her greatly when she finally vanquished it. Panting in exhaustion she knelt down as she tried to mend her wounds, but she was glad: no harm came to Blair.

She awoke, quickly seeing Natalie wounded. "Natalie, please let me heal you."


She let herself shift into her true form.

Natalie backed away in fear when she saw the fairy before her, not realizing at first that it was Blair.


" No... don't... " she whimpered in exhaustion " Don't... take my life away, fairy! I... have someone to protect still! "


She tried to run but her feet gave in and fell down. Still she tried to crawl away from the mystical being.

"Natalie! It's me! It's Blair!"


She put her hands up and sighed.

" B-Blair? " she stopped and looked at her in fear and doubt. But when she looked in her eyes she realized that she was telling her the truth.


" I... am ashamed. " she said with sorrow " I should have known... I was foolish. "

"No, it's fine. I...can I please heal you?"


She held up her hands, palm up, and smiled.

She bowed her head.


" Please... " she said and sat down in front of her. Her entire body was aching and trembling... she did not want to tell Blair that it was because of that demon, it would just frighten her. No, if she asked her she would make up something.

She nodded and her hands extended and were gently placed over the wounds.


They started glowing the same blue as her usual glow and healed.


"There, all better..."

 

[DawnAntalios]

She closed her eyes waiting for the pain to overtake her... but instead she felt serenity and peace as Balir's magic worked. She was happy now and smiled at her as she stood up.


" Thank you. " she said then looked towards the city " I think I should hurry... " she wanted to find an appropriate word for the alley she tried to sleep in " ... home. " she finally concluded.

"No."


Her voice turned sharp and serious. She could not let Natalie out of her sight if she had been hurt.


"You are coming with me."

 

[DawnAntalios]

Natalie looked at her with a startled expression as she suddenly changed.


" I... but... " she tried to find a good reason but she was paralyzed in fear " I... would be a burden... I told you my house is fine, it is warm and cozy... "

"You are not a burden! Come on!"


She grabbed her hand and dragged her in the direction of her home.

Now completely overrun by panic and embarrassment she tried to bring up everything in her defense.


" But... my house... it is not far at all! I am fine... I... " she ran out of ideas and succumbed to her fate. Blair shall do whatever she wants with her now.

She flung her door open and revealed the small living room.


"Where do you wanna sleep?"

She knelt down, looking for a good spot. After a few moment later she found a cozy spot in one of the dark corners as she set down her backpack and her stuff there.


" This spot on the floor is perfect. " she announced, pointing at the dark corner with a smile.
