"Considering how easily you seized my mind, I doubt it will be that hard for you."

Balaa smiles.

"Will you wake him up, or simply work him in his sleep?"

 

[AmethystRoze]

"I thought I would wait for him to wake up, sleeping well was on his list"

 

[JessieSune]

"Very well. How much sleep does he like?"

 

[AmethystRoze]

She tilted her head. "Im not sure really" She said, wondering herself what the answer might be.

 

[JessieSune]

"Well, we can wait until he wakes. I'll go get some breakfast."

And with that, she strides from the cave.

 

[AmethystRoze]

"Wait.. can I come with you?" She say trying to play off the slight panic... Simon was asleep, and mommy gone?

 

[JessieSune]

"Sure, but I don't want to leave Simon alone, so we'll need to carry him if he's going to stay asleep."

 

[AmethystRoze]

"Ok!" She said happy that she dodged a bullet. She walked over to Simon and put him on her back.

 

[JessieSune]

"Oh, sweetheart...you'll bruise him if you carry him lick a Magikarp. You'll have to levitate him!"

Balaa giggles, like a mother would watching her kid trying to walk.

 

[AmethystRoze]

"Oh yeah." She said, thinking herself rather silly, and levitated him.

 

[JessieSune]

He, of course, sleeps soundly through the whole thing.

"Now then, it's not a long walk. The grove where we can find our breakfast is--" she doesn't finish her thought. Footsteps can be heard in the brush -- and then a strange creature appears, looking as surprised as you are.

"Human..."

 

[AmethystRoze]

She looked at the strange creature with a mix of awe and fear. "I....is it dangerous?"

 

[JessieSune]

"Not necessarily."

The creature speaks a few words -- they sound foreign, but thanks to your telepathy you understand what is meant.

"A Ninetales and a Vulpix -- they're...beautiful. I wonder...Ninetales, will you battle me?"

He holds a strange ball in his hand.

"He is not dangerous...and yet we should flee." Balaa's voice is steady, but her face betrays her concern.

"Human, I do not wish to become your Pokemon. I have a duty here."

But he doesn't seem to understand.

 

[AmethystRoze]

Danielle was scared, if Mommy was concerned.. How bad was this guy?

 

[JessieSune]

"Go, Greninja!"

He throws the ball and out comes a Pokemon Danielle can't recall. Balaa steps back.

"Danielle? Run. Get back to the cave."

She takes her stance opposite the imposing water and dark type.

"You don't wish to fight me."

It doesn't stop the opponent from using Water Shuriken. Now angry, Balaa hits back hard with Flamethrower. The human gets excited.

 

[AmethystRoze]

Danielle didn't want to run. Her mommy seemed like she was in danger and she wanted to help. She looked at the human. "Stop it!"

 

[JessieSune]

Greninja uses Surf, nailing both fire-types in the process and causing Simon to be dropped to the ground. He jolts awake, but doesn't know what's happening.

"Alright, now Luxury Ball! Go!"

The strange creature throws an orb at Balaa -- and for a moment Danielle's heart drops into her stomach as her mother suddenly vanishes.

*wobble* *wobble* *wobb--*

*WHAM*

Balaa breaks out and, in desperation, summons a fire spin. Greninja flinches, but the human doesn't seem inclined to give up.

"I said RUN!"

 

[AmethystRoze]

She fled, picking up Simon once more on her way. Her mommies words frightened her a little.

 

[JessieSune]

When you get back, Simon, now fully awake, is all questions.

"What happened? We were in the woods and then everything just...broke? Where's Balaa?"

He looks around anxiously.

"Did something bad happen?"

 

[AmethystRoze]

As some of the adrenaline left her system she started to panic again. She hyperventilated and her heart sped to the speed of sound. mommies going to be ok right? She tries to reason herself but panic set in much herder than reason. She started to whimper ignoring Simon's question.

 

[JessieSune]

Time seems to freeze. Simon tries his best to comfort his friend, but seems unable to fully understand what is happening.

"I have...have to get back to her."

Having defeated four Pokemon and escaped at least six Poke Balls, Balaa is on her last legs -- thankfully the trainer seems to be running out of options.

"C'mon, c'mon! I promise I'm a good trainer!"

"I have no doubt of that...but I have a family I must protect..."

*wobble* *wobble* *wobble*

...

Danielle's panic only rose. But despite this she was able to think. i...I can't leave mom my in danger.. but she said to leave..but..... There were to many buts and her mind stopped working. She gained tunnel vision. She could hear her own heartbeat. i...I "Mommy!" She screemed in distress and ran back out, the world around her disappearing.

 

[JessieSune]

And then she hears it. A vague gasp, a struggling gait...and then Balaa appears around the corner, looking exhausted.

"D-Danielle? I'm--I'm here sweetie..."

She collapses before reaching the cave.

 

[AmethystRoze]

She's automatically elated at mommy reappearing but was worried. She looked really bad. "Mommy?" She asked running up to her and licking her off. "Are you ok?"

 

[JessieSune]

"I will admit I have felt better, sweetheart. That human had some very strong Pokemon -- I had a hard time getting away. But I will be alright."

Nonetheless, she doesn't try to get up.
