Dendarian steps forward and says, "Very well. If you have some form of increased protection, either in the form of better armor or a ring of some sort, I'll be willing to purchase it, with these seconds you are talking about. If there is anyone to test a potential burden, let it be me. What do you have to offer that is better than chain mail armor, what is the cost, and how do I purchase it from you?"

She thinks it over and checks her coin purse. "Would 25 work for 5 seconds?" She asked. "Add in the flute for another five." She said trying to barter.

"Or if your in a trading mood. Me and my companions are going to be getting involved in something. When I eventually come back this way you'll have first pick of my loot whatever that maybe for the fifty bullets, flute and...." she looked around. "Some kind of clothing that won't get me killed that I can be mobile in."

“Yes, a very fair trade- Master will give me a good cut by the next Awakening- clothing? Wanderer cloaks are the best for mobile endeavors- if I was still a pick-pocket I would clean this town out, but you would have to join the order- pay the price, say the oaths, find a master- I think my apprentice cloak is somewhere here, that would work, you can it for free- maybe a favor.”

She gives a devilish grin. "What's the favor?" She asked before sticking her hand out in agreement to their deal.

"Could always use more materials for ammo and traps." Kai mutters to herself as she checks over the cart for something useful.

Zeren uses a longsword and shield. Even if the sword's magical it wouldn't fit his combat style.

He says as much, his suspicion growing at the insistence on 'seconds' as the price.

"The armor I'm interested in, but I'm not making any deals until you explain exactly what you mean."

He hopes the threat of not getting his business is enough to get an explanation.

Intimidation: 1D20+4 = [14]+4 = 18

"I guess whatever I decide- nothing that could cause you any harm would be a good rule- do you have any?" She asked, hesitating for a moment before removing the glove on her left hand, before taking Seria's hand.

"Master was very clear, you must stare into the eye- our guild only accepts that as currency." Nem says, clearly annoyed as she leaves the sword on the table, the glow from the gemstone steadily increasing.
"Could always use more materials for ammo and traps." Kai mutters to herself as she checks over the cart for something useful.
Nem turns to Kai, searching a nearby crate of ammo. "Same price as my partner gave the bard- traps would depend, I recently got some explosives from the apothecaries son, he is at the gilded dragon- he is foolish enough to build you such a contraption from my supplies- for explosive traps- say twenty seconds, for extra supplies another 20."

"As mentioned before, our stocks are low, but you can find more at the next outpost in the forest- for now I can offer the ring, delivered in the morning by my assistants." The Trader says, rubbing his head as he raises the shrouded object. "Would you like to pay now- I can throw in the sword your knight refused for no extra cost."

Dendarian shrugs. “Fine. The sword and the ring, with the understanding the deal so be void without the delivery of the ring to me tomorrow. You said something about looking at something? Where is that?”

The trader gestures to the object before speaking up. "I would recommend everyone not purchasing anything to look away from the eye- once I tell you stare into the eye, do not look away or break direct eye contact." He pulls an hourglass from his pocket and whispers something at it before placing it on the table, the sand frozen despite the glass being upturned. "Once the sand has fallen the transaction will be complete and you may take the sword."
(Roll Con Saving Throw)

Dendarian does as instructed, stop wondering how this buying with seconds will work.

Total of a five

Dendarian will feel dizzy as the veil is quickly lifted, revealing an artifact made of emerald and gold, dozens of glowing stones arranged on a golden frame in the shape of an eye, it seems to move to stare into her eyes, and she begins to hears whispers from the artifact.

"Born of stone, Punished by Father, Eye taken for power- Mourning the Sister."

"Bane of War, Lord of Night, Mankind's Silent Watcher."

"Few will survive, what comes soon, The forgotten stirs- Death is the Key."

Dendarian will feel nausea, vomiting on the ground- one of the assistants moving to clean it up. The leader seems more energetic, quickly putting the sword in a sheath and passing it to his newest client.

"The nausea will pass, those either not used to the experience can do that, it is not dangerous- just an occurrence that can occur when you 'Roll the Dice'."

Zeren is torn between his desire for the plate armor and his apprehension at whatever magical thing is happening to those who stare into the eye.

He turns to the rest of the group.

"Is it worth it?"

She watched what happened to their Paladin and gulped realizing what they ment by seconds. She looks at the thief merchant and nods. "Whatever it is you need. I'll take care of it." She gives her a firm handshake. "Bashan's don't go back on deals." She puts on a smile. "Anyway I can keep in contact with you and your boss."

Eldra quickly moves to the side of Dendarian and puts her arm around her shoulders, checking on the other woman to see if her services as a mystic healer are needed. “Hey. It’s ok. It’s all over. You are still with us, and I’m sure that your breakfast tasted better going down than coming back up.”

Banli had been watching the activity with the merchant and his new friends and just shook his head at it all, and gave a long sigh.

Dendarian heaves a few times, feeling a bit dizzy as the effects of the deal hit her. Catching her breath, she gives Eldra a weak smile. “That wasn’t very pleasant, <cough cough> but I’ll live. Ungh. I’ve also had worse hangovers, but getting that way was certainly much more fun. Thank you, Eldra, but I don’t think I’ll be needing any healing.”

With a bit of help, Dendarian gets to her feet and looks around. “How long was I out?”

“Our guild has a way of finding former clients, I have no doubt we will meet again.” Aph said, before gesturing for her to stare at the eye next.

Eldra is still not too sure about this, but there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with Dendarian. “Ok, so what would the cost of a magic warhammer be?”

The Tradesman thinks for a second, pulling out the hourglass and moving It for a moment, whispering something to it as he does so before clearing his throat, the previous accent completely gone after the exchange with Dendarian.

“Specifics will take time to acquire, and I would have to send it too you, l’d say you can pay 100 seconds, half up front the other half with the arrival of your purchase.”

"Than I look forward to do business with you." She said before turning towards the eye. She let out a breath bracing herself as she looked at the eye

Eldra rolls her eyes and lets out a “Psht! You want my to buy, sight unseen, an unknown hammer for that much!?! I might be persuaded to go as high as eighty seconds with the half and half deal, but one hundred? You’d better sweeten the pot a bit before I’d agree to that!”

OOC going to try a Persuasion roll to haggle at a +2 on my roll.

lol that worked soooo well! At least I tried.

The Wanderer stares blankly at Eldra, looking to Aph now that she is no longer busy before gesturing for her to begin searching the back while he continues deal making. "A weapon forged with magic is hard to come by, and transporting it with the current bandit problems will make it worse- 100 is a good deal, but if you want to complain you can take something from the unverified stocks, I haven't had time to investigate them for curses or their abilities- you can take one large or three small. (Roll d100's based on whichever choice)

Like Dendarian, you would feel dizzy as you stare at the eye, looking into what most would assume to be a simple artifact, and although you can't sense any arcane power (Don't need check, with the highest rolls possible you wouldn't sense a thing) you stare into the depths of the bejeweled device. You begin to hear a voice, that will not respond to your questions.

"Ah, you've reached Bordermire- very good, just a few more weeks until we meet, with the alchemists carriage maybe less with the artificer's carriage, If this world had Automobiles it would be faster- then again their necromancer has more raw power- then again Revenant will be formidable, but I suppose you have a better chance than the others did. I suppose you want some help, and I suppose I have nothing better to do- when you reach the bridge city, near the banks is a burned tree. If you dig under it's largest branch you will find an interesting object. Good luck little hero, even though you were not expected for this journey- It was fate, I would know- Fate is a dear friend of mine."

She almost stumbles but rights herself shaking her head to see straight. The hair on the back of her neck steps up as she heard a voice. She looks around to see where it was coming from.

She looks over to the Paladin. "Dendarian did you hear anyone when you gazed at the eye?" She asked
