The leader smiles as he stares at the group, the mask moving as he grins under the cloth- concealing any features other than those eyes that seem to scan the crowd in seconds, taking in every detail. Dendarian, Zeren, and Seria will feel a sudden urge to purchase his wares, the words of the two assistants filling their heads, while the more intellectually fortified Banli and Eldra are unaffected- but only Banli can identify the spell that was used on him.

"Ah, customers- I see most of you are interested, hopefully the outliers can see reason in my trades. I have a great many artifacts: Potions, Weapons, Armor, Magical Artifacts- all available for a relatively cheap price."

The Salesman speaks quickly, presenting various objects he has for sale- including an impressive collection of weapons- newly repaired and shined; instruments of the finest make, and a great many magical items.

Upon offer of the tree blossom from the caretaker, Banli takes the gift graciously. "Thank you for such a gift."

Upon approach to the merchant, as Banli notices of the use of magic to affect his new friends minds, the gnome gives the others in his party a fair warning, clicking his tongue in distaste for the practice, "A word of warning friends, this merchant and his assistants are using magic to persuade you to buy their wares, tread carefully, what he has may not be as it seems."

Seria took head of her companions warning and moved over to the instruments. She found a flute and looked it over to see if anything is off about it.

Eldra frowns. "IF your wares were so good, why are you trying to cast spells on us? I'm more tempted to walk away right now instead of wasting my time looking at your things."

Zeren hears Banli say that magic was used on them to make them buy stuff. Why? He was going to look at the merchant's wares either way, wasn't he?

Still, he keeps his hand by his sword in case there's trouble.

"Certain rumors have resulted in a fall in customers- that lowers prices of course, but the spell is necessary- and a bit annoying to remove, Ah, a flute from World-Hopper's collection- a well maintained item, and the owner's infamy would add to the price- 33 seconds." He said, turning to Banli has he evokes disdain for a moment before returning to his cheery businessman front- before anyone else can see. The two assistants surround the gnome, pulling out tinctures and gadgets from their satchels- trying to impress Banli.

"I can promise none of the objects can harm you, and my motives are not to injure, hex, or otherwise harm you, and I cannot lie- was my middle name before I gave it up for my shop."
