When the howl rang through the air there was no second guessing who that could be. Despite never seeing him in person before now, twitter had made it abundantly clear who the howlers were. Kris and Atlas. Weird, or sure, but she tried to see the silver lining in the fact it'd never be boring here. Though if they did that at night there might be a murder scene...What? People liked their sleep and she didn't imagine that going over well. She was just glad neither of them were her roommates. She had zero problem befriending them, but...just no.
The kitchen seemed like the much calmer scene compared to whatever was going on in the living room. She'd stick to these delicious cookies and observing for now. She couldn't help but smile as Ashton joined her in enjoying the cookies. It made her feel a bit better that she wasn't the only one stuffing her face with them. She also sort of hoped there was more food showing up then just these cookies. While they were amazing this wouldn't stand a chance against all the adults in this room...it would be lucky to survive her and Ashton honestly.
Genesis nodded along listening to his brief review of events that confirmed what she already knew...kitchen safe space. She'd add in they knew about personal space, but there were starting to be quite a few of them in this little area. "Very true. Who you betting on?" She giggled. Her eyes scanned the area seeing who all was talking to who wondering if there was a place she could find to just chill out until the real party began. Preferably where she could continue to socialize, but not be red as a tomato by the end of the conversation.
A few of her roommates *Cough Bea and Atlas Cough* had already figured out how to get her flustered just from twitter chatting, and she couldn't...or rather didn't want to imagine how much worse the teasing would be in person just yet. At least once Josiah got here she wouldn't be the only one enduring it, which was better right?
She was worried about him. It sucked that the airport had lost all his luggage. Sure it'd suck to have to get all new clothes, but she wasn't sure what other things where in his luggage that might be irreplaceable since he was coming straight from his trip to Chad. She hoped even if it takes a while that they find his things. Though she supposed she should be more thankful than anything that he was safe and the flight was fine. Yup there it was that's the Brightside, just keeping thinking about that. That soon he'll be here regardless!
Her thoughts got distracted as more people came in. Estelle and Robyn, who she mostly knew the names thanks to Ashton calling out to them. Look it was a lot of names to learn in a very short time period. Then a tall girl named Sunny. She'd have to apologize at some point for Robyn being a casualty in her teasing of Josiah later. Sunny's presence made her feel more comfortable because it was starting to feel like Gen was going to tower over everyone except a few of the guys, but Sunny definitely took the cake with that one. She was honestly a bit awestruck by the girl and couldn't deny it.
Wait did Lucky just lick Atlas? What was going on? She was getting whiplash from all the interactions happening around her.
As quickly as Atlas popped into the kitchen he left. She supposed him and Bea did have to get ready for this competition thing. Lucky seemed to be trying to liven up the mood, but he'd also brought up a good point on where Cameron and June were? She'd heard a loud thud earlier figuring it was him and his stubbornness, but since then she figured he'd have figured it out or sucked up his pride and come down to ask her to help him and get it over with. She made a mental note to go check it out anyways tonight for safety reasons for the girls.
It faintly sounded like someone put on 'Party in the USA' but compared the the chatting commotion it was hard to hear. She hoped that they planned on cranking up the music louder then this. This felt like elevator music at best. She was curious to check out the speaker system in the place, but since she didn't know who was playing the music hooking it up to them would be difficult. She supposed she could use her own phone, but she didn't really have party/pole dance songs.
Well if they were trying to get the party started she should get out of the kitchen. She made her way to the living room and looked around, "The music isn't playing through the speakers. Who's music are we using, so we can get it hooked up?" She asked curiously. She figured she could contribute a bit so Bea wasn't doing everything on her own. Then she could sit on the couch and chill out.
