Rays of sunlight makes its way through the curtains to make a natural light for the entire room. It was bright enough wake up the sleeping form that is curled up underneath the thick, white comforter. Morning as arrived.

Erika groans and begins to move slowly. The comforter slips off of her as she sits up and stretches her arms up to the ceiling. She opens her eyes and gets a good look at her surroundings.

"Good morning..." she speaks softly to herself as she swings her legs over the side of the bed and places them on the smooth, wooden floor.

She walks lazily to the bathroom to begin her daily routine with washing her face and brushing her teeth. After emerging from the bathroom wide awake and with a happy demeanor, she goes to make fresh cup of coffee. She waits patiently and looks around her home. Her eyes stop at the blank canvas placed in a corner and stares at it for a moment.

"It's been two days and I still haven't touch it yet... " she thought with a look of worry. This has never happened to her before. She always had an idea of what to paint or draw. She lets out a nervous laugh, "I guess this is what artist's blocks is like"

But now isn't the time to have it. She has a deadline she has to meet. One of Japan's greatest hotels asked her to create a beautiful piece for their lobby. The pressure is seriously on. She begins to tap the kitchen counter with her nail.

"Think. Think. Think." She repeatedly says out loud "I need some inspiration. Some kind of motivation"

The loud beep of the coffee machine broke her from her train of thought. As she pour the steaming liquid into a mug, she lists a variety places where she can find ideas.

"The park? No. The city streets? Too much going on at the same time. The museum... The museum!"

Of course. What's better than finding inspiration from the professionals themselves.

She slaps her hand on the counter with a new sense of confidence. "So be it! That's what I shall do today!"

She abandons her cup of coffee on the counter and rushes back to her bedroom. Erika makes herself look decent and packs het back with pencils, an eraser, and her sketchbook.

Cacien continued to silently read the book ignoring Adrian's questions, and silently pushed over a small box. "From the Victoria's Secret model who tried to talk to you at the party the other night," he muttered. "Your highness, you seriously need to stop playing around with women's hearts. If you don't like them, don't even look at them. A glance from you will spark false hope in their hearts."

Adrian stared at the Rolex watch from the new Cellini collection. He chuckled, as he traced his fingers along the edge and marveled at the work . He motioned for a servant to walk and over, and he placed the watch on the tray. "We'll be landing in 5 minutes. Get my coat read," he ordered. The servant gasped as he stared at the luxurious watch with absolute shock. "A gift," the king said with an edge to his voice. He smirked at Cacien who was shaking his head in bemusement. "A king has no need for such luxurious gifts from cheap people," Adrian sharply said, as he put on the black sleek coat that the servant handed him.

Soon the plane landed on the private airport, and he was ushered over to a helicopter. They flew over the beautiful scenery, that even he himself couldn't help but marvel. It was spring, and he could small dots of pinkness littering the ground. Sakura trees. They soon landed on the rooftop of the art museum in which he was to meet the CEO of some corporate company. It was a gorgeous building, and had a futuristic style to it with it's glass structure.

A pompous fat man bounded over to them, with a gleeful expression on his face. "O-oh. It isu an honoooru to meetu you, you highnessu. H-how wasu your trippu?" The man stammered out terrible English, as he extended his shaking hand.

(italicized words are supposed to be Japanese)

"Please speak comfortably around me, Mr. Takeshi. I've recently learned how to speak Japanese as well. It is a beautiful language, and it would be an honor for me to be able to speak it around you,"
Adrian spoke silkily, the foreign words rolling off of his tongue. His country's native language was French, however from the moment he was born, he was taught to speak at least 13 of the most used languages in the world to help with international business. He was also able to read and write with another 15 languages. And he was currently learning around 10 more to help him be able to reach out to other smaller countries.

The bubbly man was immediately elated by the fact that his partner was able to speak his native language, and immediately rushed to speak ou everything in his mind.

"Y-your highness, I do hope that you will enjoy your week stay here in Japan. I've already made a reservation for the one and only presidential suite in Japan's #1 hotel, Mandarin Oriental, which is also owned by JP Logistics. That is also the place where we'll be eating delicious french cuisine tonight. I did happen to hear that your mother was a beautiful french noble? Perhaps you got to already eat a lot of french food in your own country? I do hope that you will enjoy our hotel's french cuisine. We handpicked our own chefs from five star restaurants and the top cooking academies from around the world."

Cacien glanced over at Adrian warily, as Adrian pursed his lips and forced out a cold smile. "Yes, she is, Mr. Takeshi. I am surprised that you know such information. Not many people know that my mother is from France, and not originally of royal blood. I look forward to seeing what sort of amenities you will be presenting me. May we continue on to the art gallery? I apologize, but I have another scheduled appointment for tea with the Emperor of Japan an hour later," Adrian said icily. He was already starting to get annoyed a little by this small man who did not know when to stop talking.

The man froze immediately, right before he was about to start talking again. "Right this way, your highness," the man said, as he led the way down the stairs and into the top of the floor of the building. The man's secretary began the tour of the building, pointing out the architectural feats of this building, the cost of the tickets, and what sort of people entered this museum.

"I was hoping that this museum was open to all of the common people at a lower price, so that Eveland's various famous art works could be feasted on by the eyes of many, and not just a couple simple nobles who only come to art museums to chatter away and pretend to have good taste in art," Adrian said, half way through the museum tour. Just as the CEO was about to say something, a loud commotion from the other side of the museum interrupted their conversation. The CEO's face turned red as a beet as he ran over to where the chaos was happening. Adrian smiled with a bemused expression, as he followed the man.

That was when he first saw her. Furiously yelling at the museum worker about how to handle art work, and struggling against the guards. Her long brown hair bounced up and down on her back, her long white blouse danced around her hips, and her amber eyes were filled with extreme strength. For a second, the words "100% Perfect Girl" flitted through his mind, as he stared at the scene.

Erika was like a child in a candy store. She walked around in complete awe at the superb art work that is put on display. Stone sculptures, pencil drawings, watercolor paintings... They are... They are...

"AMAZING~!" She exclaims with a twinkle in her amber colored eyes. JP Logistics contains the best art gallery in Japan and she finally has the chance to be able to see art work done by the best of the best. Erika soon reaches the art work done by famous artists from the land of Eveland.

"Eveland. I've heard of that country a couple of times" She thought as she thinks of where she heard it from. She remembers hearing that name numerous of times from girls she goes to art school with her. For some reason, that was all they talked about, referring to the country's king. Erika grew annoyed of them talking about how handsome he was and their dreams of him falling for one of them like giggling fan girls. She rolls her eyes "What's so great about that man anyway?"

She pushes thought aside as she stops at a landscape painting of a city at sunset. Her eyes widen, absorbing the vivid colors, the shapes, and the precise detail. In the center of the painted city was a large palace, the emphasis of the masterpiece. "It must be the capital... Such a beautiful place" She practically lost herself in the painting, mesmerized in its beauty. She backs away slowly until she feels the bench stop her. She slowly takes a seat and continues to gaze. Her mind starts to wander. She wonders if she should do the same and paint a visual of the city of Tokyo. That would suit the lobby well. It will not only will it attract their guest but motivate them to explore what the city has to offer when they have the chance.

Staff workers were carrying more new canvases into the room, ready to be put on display. They carelessly drop them on the cold, floor with heavy thud and left momentarily to grab the next one. That grabbed Erika's attention and she glared at their backs as they left the room. How could they do that in such a manner?! Anger started to rise within her and she quickly went over to the painting, checking if it was abused in anyway. She sighs in relief to find no damage. The workers soon returned with another canvas and carelessly dropped it to floor again without a care. This time, right in front of her! That officially ticked her off.

"WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING?! You can't just do that to them!!" She snaps at them both. "Treat them with respect" She ordered.

The men look at each other and laugh. Apparently this was joke to them. "Move aside, miss" one says cockily "Let us do our job".

She couldn't allow them. As the worker attempts to pick up the painting once again, she suddenly grabs his arm and pulls him away from the precious art. "NO! I won't let you" she yells. Erika began to attract attention. A security guard hurries to the worker's aid and grabs a hold of her. "Let go. Let go of me!" She say over and over again.

A flustered CEO ran to the chaos to settle things himself with someone following close behind. He looked foreign, wearing dark coat that is probably extremely expensive. The man held a cool, calm expression as the enraged artist tries to struggle free from restraint.

The CEO bellowed in rage as he yelled curses at the girl for causing chaos to issue in the museum. "POOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU HAVE NO MANNERS. THAT IS WHY MY MUSEUM IS CLOSED OFF TO YOU COMMONERS FROM NOW ON." The man's face turned red, almost as if he had just remembered that Adrian was still standing there watching the scene unfold.

"U-uh...your highness. This is not how I usually run my business. That girl...I don't know how she g-got in," the man stammered, as he shot a glare at the guards, motioning at them to take her away.

"Release her," Adrian ordered, as he retrieved the contract from Cacien's hand. "And I will overlook the faults of your museum and may sign the contract tonight at dinner."

The guards looked back and forth between the CEO and the king, confused at who's orders to follow. The flustered CEO, immediately changed his attitude, forcing out a smile, and motioned for them to release her. Adrian smiled as he watched the girl fiercely shoot a glare at all of the people in the room before running out. Just as he was outstretching his hand to introduce himself to her, she brushed past him coldly and into the opening elevator. Time stood still, as Adrian attempted to absorb what had just happened. Did she just...ignore...the perfectly handsome and cool man that just saved her? He knew that he was supposed to be modest...but it was a little. His face turned slightly red as he heard a snicker escape Cacien. He bitterly shot a smile at Cacien, making him shut up.

"I'll see you later, CEO Takeshi. I look forward to talking about our business over some of that delicious french food that you enjoy so much," said Adrian, as he walked into the elevator followed by his other bodyguards, secretaries, and Cacien.

As soon as the elevator doors closed, Cacien burst out laughing. "Never thought that I would ever see the perfect king be rejected by some oriental common girl."

"Oh shut up," Adrian growled, as he stepped out onto the first floor. Once he had thought about, he never caught a glimpse of the girl's face. He sighed in dismay, thinking about how wasteful it was to not be able to see the first person who ever caught his interest again. He got into the black limousine that rolled up in front of him. But then again, she was just a commoner like Cacien had mentioned. What were the chances of meeting again anyhow.

Run. Just run.

That's what her mind was telling her to do as soon as she was released from the hold of those guards back at JP Logistics. "That wasn't supposed to happen. None of that was supposed to happen!! I'm such an idiot!" Even though she felt her legs burning from sprinting nonstop, she attempts to run faster. Erika doesn't know where she was going, but she needed to get away.

The CEO's outraged voice echoed through her head "POOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU HAVE NO MANNERS."

Her sprinting decreased at a walking pace.

"THAT IS WHY MY MUSEUM IS CLOSED OFF TO YOU COMMONERS FROM NOW ON."

She came to a complete stop, panting heavily. At first, she thought that having a confrontation with the workers would seem like a good deed. However, it resulted to her humiliating herself in front of the people who witnessed that situation. To top it off, she is unable to even return to that paradise of art.

"Poor…" Erika mutters the word out loud. She didn't have to be reminded of where she stands financially. She spent a couple of months of being frugal with her money to purchase the ticket to the museum. It was hard to be an artist nowadays. So far, she depended on selling her artwork to pay the bills and it did… just barely. That's why Erika must put all her effort into her next piece. She began to walk once again, with a distressed expression on her face. The CEO looked furious at Erika for causing such a scene in his place of business, especially with his special guest with him. Speaking of that man, she was so grateful for him at that moment. Without that man telling the guards to let her go, she would have been arrested. Too bad that she probably couldn't thank him properly for his kindness, since there is a big possibility that they would never meet again.

"I have to get on his good side again. No, I need to get on his side again" says the determined Erika, referring to the JP Logistics' CEO "I have to go back and apologize. Beg if I have to". She stops at a nearby bench and wiggles off her shoulder bag. She had to have the address to CEO's office somewhere in this bag. As she takes out one of her sketchbooks, a paper slips from it. She picks it up and her eyes lightened up with joy seeing an address printed on it.

"Mandarin Oriental… " She had a new source of energy. With a swift turn on her heels, she dashes back in the direction where she came from. Erika must set things straight before the sun goes down.
