On page 185 of Exalted 2, in the box there is written that "no combination of charms ... can increase a static rating by more than half the (Atrribute+Ability). Does that mean that I can (with Dodge 3, Dex 3) raise my DDV by 3, or that I can (with Athletics 3 and Strength 3) raise my "Feats of...
Well...stumbled over this, too. But after thinking about it, it's OK. The grand goremaul is so astonishingly huge that it just doesn't fit IMO to let it deal out bashing. But I think that maybe the goremaul should deal out lethal damage, too, but that's just me. These things don't bruise. They...
Hmmph. You're probably right. The effect is more powerful than before, but so are most charms, so it's probably allright. They just raised the Solar powerlevel a bit (which is a good thing), and I need time to fit this in my mind.
The explanation of the Key Word "Training" on page 183 is, well, the key.
"Characters who receive training and aren't extras must pay the normal experience cost for any trait increases. If they can't afford the cost, they go into 'experience point debt'."
The Defense system is pretty neat, in my opinion. And I hate D&D. To me it looks more like Legend of the 5 rings. Which is a fast and really nice system.
Hi,
Reading through the Charm listings of (great) Exalted 2, I just noticed that the Resistance Charm "Iron Skin Concentration" is insanely powerful. Yes, it has the chance of not working since you have to roll dice (but not rolling enough successes isn't, in most cases, very likely), but it...
 Â
Wow, I have more backups than I thought. Tons of artifacts, charms and other stuff from the Compendium. All translated and some a bit modified to suit me best, but it's better than nothing, I guess.
I'll start retranslating as soon as I can spare the time!
No problem. But it will take me some time. Maybe, if I find the time today, I can post it tomorrow evening, but if not, it will take me about a week.
But I'm glad to help. The old EC was a damn fine site, and if I can contribute to the new, I'll do.
Welll... yes, I have. It's not everything, but it's a lot of the martial arts stuff and quite a lot of the Melee- and other combat charms. Some of the charms for other skills, too. Problem is, I got only the stuff I really liked, and I translated it to German - the bigger problem is, I don't...
I like the program a lot, I have to admit. It's not exactly easier creating a character, but when creating NPCs (where I sometimes need information that is a bit obscure...) it safes a lot of time I have not to spend searching the books. This comes quite handy.
And I like that I can modify it...
